Half the mussels were still closed and inedible; a small portion of fries and salad for two people was carelessly slapped onto a plate so they could share it. The criticism about the mussels was completely ignored.

0 stars... fax, call, email to make a reservation. Tried several times, for several days, to get in touch. Unfortunately, they didn't answer or email back. Too bad for them... 6 fewer customers.

The veggie burger is simply fantastic. From the patty to the bun and the sauce, it's absolutely delicious! The fries are equally great—fresh, crispy, and delicious. Even the salad won me over, although I usually see salad as just decoration. The restaurant is cozy and filled with the pleasant warmth of a fireplace. It was perfect after a long walk on the beach. The waiter (a young man) was also very attentive, polite, and courteous, and spoke perfect English. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Four of us went there on a Wednesday evening during the season. After a short wait, a table was prepared for us, as advertised. The warmth of the wood-fired oven is incredibly cozy and sets the tone for the comfortable ambiance. The service was super attentive! Due to our choice of food (frikandel and pizza Margherita 😁), the kitchen didn't really have a chance to shine; however, the kibbeling and tomato soup were really good! We'll be back and look forward to our next visit!

We went there three times, and on all three visits the service was very friendly and the food was also OK...considering the price...it is a vacation area, after all...we were completely satisfied.

Staff have poor German/English skills; it's almost impossible to communicate with them. Food received differently than ordered. Unfriendly staff! Exorbitant prices.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was there with my friends for a nightcap and ordered three hot chocolates with rum. Since it was almost closing time, we had to pay immediately and only then could we drink. Then we realized the hot chocolate was sour. We complained to the manager and were given a pretty rude response. The only response was that it wasn't bad. There was no apology, no replacement drink, or refund. No, on the contrary, we were treated with complete contempt. Absolutely outrageous; something like that has never happened to me before. We've been coming to Bergen aan Zee for 30 years, but we won't be going to this place again.

I wasn't feeling well and ate a delicious fish soup, and then I felt better again! It was the tastiest fish soup in the Netherlands.

The food is very good, and the portions are generous. There's something for everyone, whether you're young or old. We particularly liked the value for money. Other restaurants in the area or neighboring towns charge significantly more.

The pizza was inedible; it had fake cheese on it that looked like béchamel sauce. The waiter threw the pizza cutter into my pizza. There was so much cheese on the pizza that it had a kind of skin. The cola was good, but it was way overpriced.

We visited Golf Van Bergen today after a walk on the beach of Bergen Aan Zee. And ordered Mossels. The Mossels looked great and were served with Pommes Frites. Asked for a White Beer, we do not have that. Later found Weitzen on the menu card… Weitzen is White Beer, so asked what the problem was. They aready placed the order for Texels Beer. Then many flies came to our table and the table of a German couple who also ordered Mossels. Way too many flies for my taste and this really ruined the dish. How difficult is it to place a insect killer.

We enjoyed a delicious sea trout meal, prepared on the barbecue. It came with fresh vegetables and a delicious salad with fries. The staff were very friendly. The fish caught that morning in the North Sea were presented beforehand, and we could choose from them. It was a surprising treat. The next day, we made a salad with the leftover sea trout, which was a real treat.

Het eten was prima, gelukkig best veel groente en ook een hele vriendelijke en kundige bediening. De plek was prima, en het menu bestaat uit veel keuzes.

The ambiance is nonexistent. The interior is poorly designed. The service, well, after 15 minutes, we were finally asked for a drink. And payment was only possible at the counter because we simply weren't served. We ordered the prawn pizza with great anticipation. And the result is simply deceiving the customer. They didn't serve prawns, but rather small pieces of a maximum of one prawn. Extremely disappointing, and the pizza was also very dry and the crust was rock hard. Never again... Thank you. Price-performance ratio is simply catastrophic!

Don't be tempted to get something to eat at lunch. There's no chef there, and they only serve small meals that take a long time to cook. You can only get a chick burger with fries and salad for an exorbitant price, although the salad must have already had its birthday; it was inedible.

Nicely decorated, fast, friendly service, and the food was very good for the price: apple pancakes and chicken salad. My recommendation in Bergen. Avoid Pavillion Zuid, which is completely overpriced. It's €3.50 extra if you share a meal without any warning.

Price performance ratio is not right here at all. Quality and presentation of the food is at best at canteen level.

Food was okay, but the tables and cards were very dirty. The water we ordered (€5.80) was refilled from the tap and the bottle was completely smeared. I don't think that's right for the price and the brand indicated on the card. We reserved a table and got a small round table for three people that was just squeezed in. We had to ask several times to get the table cleaned because it was totally sticky. Extremely many dogs. The boss sat behind guests the whole time and lit one cigarette after the other. It was much more pleasant there during the summer holidays So after an hour the food came, the 25 euro steak was very bad, it only consisted of water, had no taste and as a side dish there were boiled vegetables without salt and greasy and hard fries. But staff was nice.

Just walked out of here. Order taken from a blond boy who (we got the impression) did not take the work too seriously. First of all, we received 2x ginger tea instead of mint tea that we had ordered. Now we are not the most difficult, so we drank the ginger tea. After 40 minutes, still no pancakes, even though our little man was already getting a bit restless from being hungry. Then a couple comes in with a child. After 10 still no pancakes, but the neighbors who just came in had pancakes served generously. When we asked about it, the answer was that the batter had run out and we had to wait a little longer. So we still didn't have an answer to our question why someone who just came in was served pancakes and we still got nothing after 40 minutes. When my husband went to pay, there was laughter. What was supposed to be a fun day in Bergen ended quite sourly by this very customer-unfriendly lady. 1 star because 0 stars is not possible.

Friendly waiter, food is normal, you can't complain. However, it's a bit overpriced, but the beer (Pironi) tastes very good and the ambience is great, simply cozy.

It's not seafront but it's the only one that served mussels; very sociable owner, he showed us the catch, a beautiful fresh sea bass and gurnard; good Chilean wine and absolutely affordable bill, we will return in spring!

Super nice staff/owner. Very friendly & funny. We were given blankets straight away so that we could eat/sit outside as desired. Food was simply delicious. Beautiful restaurant, super rustic, modern with a sea feeling but without a sea view. Toilets could really be renewed but otherwise definitely recommended!!! 😍

On a very windy day we were happy to be able to sit here by the rustic wood stove, very cozy here! We were served very friendly and were even given a small beer sample to help us make a better decision. Kibbeling and Matjes are highly recommended.

Left over fries; only the very small and over baked pieces. And don't know what the do with the kibbeling (even doubt if it is from cod). Doesn't taste like baked cod at all. Even though baking was done right in front when ordered. Went here often in Corona times. But will not return any time soon.

The staff was very polite and fast For dinner we ordered a sea bream from the kamado/green egg. The fish was super tasty and soft and the vegetables that came with it were also very good.

Although the terrace outside was full, we were served quickly and friendly. The blonde lady had an eye for all customers and you didn't have to wave your arm out of its socket to attract attention, as you sometimes have to do on a busy terrace. The food was delicious and the ice cream exceptional. I recommend everyone to come here to eat, drink or enjoy an ice cream sundae.

We liked the restaurant there best, it's right on the way to the beach. It has an outside terrace and friendly staff. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and rustic, and in cold weather there is an oven for good heating. 👍 The dishes are very tasty and the prices are reasonable. We preferred Kippiling and fries with salad A dish that you should definitely eat there. What could be complained about are the toilets, they should be reworked, they are no longer completely clean and not inviting. 😒

Wir haben hier gemeinsam mit einer Freundin gegessen. Der Service war leider schlecht. Wir mussten dreimal nach einer Karte fragen, bevor wir sie bekommen haben. Die Portionen waren klein, der Preis war im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in der Nähe günstig(er).

Very nice beach restaurant right in the dune at the main entrance to the beach. Good food, very friendly and laid back staff, reasonable prices. Daily specials - fish and meat - grilled on an outdoor kamado. Rib eye steak highly recommended, also the hot smoked mackerel. Cozy atmosphere also on cool / rainy days due to many fireplaces.

Delicious pizza with truffle cream with a thin, crispy base and plenty of toppings, as you would expect from an Italian kitchen.

2 kibbelings with fries and 2 teas were 40 euros. Charged 10 euros too much. They sure are scamming there! Kibbeling was as bland as it gets.

It was a rather disappointing experience.. The second star is for the staff. We had dinner here. The carpaccio was fine, the bread was very tasty, but the main courses were horrible. The sea bass was tasteless and overcooked. The sirloin steak was meh, but both dishes are served on a horrible mess of steamed green vegetables. The presentation didn't look good and the taste of the vegetables was watery. Watery was a theme that was unfortunately also carried through to the cappuccino. This one really wasn't tasty either. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive, I can still recommend the carpaccio, but please order your main course elsewhere because I have rarely paid for it with so much sadness after a dinner.

The service is so-so, the waiter’s communication is not pleasant and he is not attentive to the visitor, the food is completely sad, it’s easier to buy pizza from a store for 3 euros than to buy the same one here for only 13 euros

The coffee was lukewarm, I had to look for the apple strudel with little love on the plate and the vanilla sauce that went with it.

Simple restaurant on the way to the beach. Was there on March 22, 2024 and ate a fantastic entrecote. Highly recommended. Because of the wood stoves that make it very cozy.

Yesterday we felt like eating something after a lovely walk on the beach and we went in here. We left after 20 minutes after no one had come to us to take our order or even come by for a drink even though we had been seen entering.

Nice restaurant. We picked up and everything was neatly wrapped in aluminum foil in a cardboard bag. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and the food came quite quickly. The people were nice and the food was delicious. They didn't have a cheese souflé, so they ordered cheese sticks and they were even better! Fries came with the chicken burgers, with remarkably tasty buns, in moderation and good portions. Very satisfied! The chicken burger is also recommended.

Op het bord buiten stond dat men mosselen serveerde, maar helaas had men die niet op de eerste avond. Het werd speciaal voor ons besteld en de tweede avond geserveerd. En het was HEERLIJK.

wonderful food with a good mix of choices at a reasonable price. The Sea Bass was a particular highlight, as well as the schnitzel and the toastie. Vegetarian and vegan options available, as well as an option for gluten-free free bread. Knowledgeable staff in terms of allergies. Only problem is that the toilet is not free (it costs 50c), so be aware of that before coming in.

Absolutely perfect food for our group. The schnitzel was perfect and the chips were phenomenal. My friends had the sea bass and it was the best fish dish both they and I had tasted. The vegan and gluten free options were accommodating and tasty. 5/5 would happily visit again.

Sehr freundliches und schnelles Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten 2 mal Kibbeling mit Pommes und einen Pfannkuchen mit Schinken, Pilzen und Käse. Die Preise sind für die Menge in Ordnung. Leichte Abzüge in der B-Note da bei unserem Besuch nur das De Golf offen hatte und entsprechend jeder Besucher des Strands unter anderem die Toiletten dort benutzte was bei nur einer Toilette für Männer und einer für Frauen dann zu recht langen Warteschlangen im Lokal führte.

Einfach alles KLASSE...und das Meer in greifbarer Nähe....ich liebe es, besonders lecker, ist das Mövenpick Eis und das unfassbar gute Hähnchen "Sate"....😍😋

Had een steak medium rear met champion roomsaus besteld en na (te) lang wachten kreeg ik mijn steak maar helaas was de steak te ver en met pepersaus. Dit aangegeven bij de serveerster maar niets mee gedaan helaas.

Top restaurant Leuke bediening Lekker ijskoude pils. Ik heb me laten vertellen dat de leidingen tot de laatste centimeter gekoeld zijn.

Das war keine Pizza. Das war ein dünner,ä Flammkuchen, wo ich leider auch den Schinken ne die Pilze suchen musste. Bei der Salamipizza ebenso. Unser Enkel hat etwas Pommes und fünf Nuggets bekommen. Dazu eine Sprite und zwei Cola Zero. Macht stolze 44.80 EURO. Also, die dort angegebene Pizza ist keine Pizza. Ich bin satt hinaus gegangen. Satt vom überhöhten Preis.

Die Pizza schmeckte fad und mehlig. Hähnchenspieß zu trocken. Der Preis für diese Qualität ist viel zu hoch. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Eten was matig. Er werd niet gevraagd hoe ik m’n steak wilde. Ik kreeg hem well done. Friet was niet krokant. Groente was wel goed gaar maar niet volledig geschild. er zaten stukjes kurk in m’n wijn. Vroeg om een nieuw glas en ik kreeg dezelfde wijn in een ander glas, met de zelfde stukken kurk erin. Bediening wel aardig maar niet heel goed

Leuk, gezellig restaurant. Leuke bediening, lekker eten en zeker niet te duur...

Das Restaurant ist in direkter Nähe zum Strand, wenn auch leider ohne Meerblick. Das Ambiente innen ist nett, jedoch nichts besonderes. Das Essen selbst ist für den Preis wirklich gut. Das Carpaccio hatte eine gute Qualität, das Steak war recht klein, aber für den Preis absolut in Ordnung. Alles in allem ein solides Lokal, dem man gerne einen Besuch abstatten kann.

Heute zum zweiten Mal hier gewesen. Nicht zu vergleichen mit dem ersten Besuch. Lange auf den Kellner gewartet. Dann Pommes für die Kinder bestellt. Nach langer Wartezeit kamen erstmal die Getränke. Nach noch längerer Wartezeit kam das Essen. Sowohl meinen Kindern als auch mir wurden Süßkartoffelpommes serviert. Auf den Kommentar von mir das wir Pommes bestellt hätten sagte der Kellner nur das diese aus wären. Ich sagte ihm das die Kinder diese nicht mögen und man doch vorher Bescheid sagen könne dann hätten die Kinder eine Pizza genommen. Er wolle mit dem Chef reden. Wir Erwachsenen aßen unsere Gerichte und die Kinder saßen vor den Tellern mit dem falschen Essen. Der Salat meiner Freundin war sehr gut. Mein Veganer Burger war sehr fade und die Süßkartoffelpommes auch nicht lecker. Des Weiteren befanden sich in der Salatbeilage noch zwei Haare. Ein niederländisches Paar sprach uns ebenfalls an nachdem sie ihre gerichte zurückgehen lassen haben. Nachdem wir fertig waren ging ich zum bezahlen rein. Man wollte tatsächlich die zwei Portionen Pommes berechnen. Wir waren im Anschluss noch mit den Kindern im Lokal nebenan und dort absolut zufrieden. Hier kommen wir allerdings nicht mehr hin.

Eten zeer lekker. Zeker gezien de prijs. Heerlijke spareribs. Bediening was heel goed, moest soms eventjes wachten maar was volle tent en met 2 personen bediening viel het zelfs nog heel erg mee. Mochten we weer in de buurt komen dan komen we zeker nog een keer terug hier.

Eigenlijk is dit een veredeld strandpaviljoen i.p.v. een restaurant maar de sfeer was prima en dat kwam ook door de houtkachels die aan waren. Mijn broodje warm beenham smaakte goed maar ik had wel een echt broodje verwacht en geen twee boterhammen.

Obwohl es sich um ein niederpreisigen Gericht handelte, chicken Burger, Pommes salat 13.50€ die pm es und salat ganz ok waren, war der Bürger nichts. Brötchen war sehr trocken, hähnchenburger auch extrem trocken, Fritteuse und ohne Salat etc. Das waere bestimmt mit einem besseren Bürger und etwas Zutaten besser preislich nicht wesentlich anders...
