Nice cafe/restaurant, beautifully situated in the harbor basin, friendly and helpful service. The price/quality ratio is excellent.

Early September, 28 degrees outside. Time for a drink. Iced cappuccino on the menu, the weather is right for that. Unfortunately, we don't have that. Only in the summer (?). Their 'rest season' starts on September 4th. Apparently, making iced coffee doesn't actually help you relax. Well, a Radler it is then. 'Only 0.0%, because otherwise we don't sell it here'. No, if you don't have it, duh. The terrace was nice, blue chairs facing the harbor; inside it looked surprisingly good according to my table companion.

Delicious food, friendly and good service, and most importantly, problem-solving skills. A small mistake in the dish (no bacon on the hamburger due to religious beliefs) was quickly corrected. Thanks for a successful evening and see you next time.

A very cozy and relaxed evening, definitely worth repeating! Despite the rain, the band created a warm atmosphere by playing South American music. You can dance even in the rain! It's also nice that you can sit anywhere with your food, even if it's from a different restaurant. So, everything was well organized. Next year again? I'll be there!

Service is absolutely crap and personal extremely unpolite. Especially the manager. The rest, is okay.

My girlfriend and I ordered two hot chocolates here. First, they arrived without whipped cream even though we had asked for it, and when we finally did get it, the hot chocolate was almost cold. When we asked for the bill later, the waiter said he would give it to us, but after waiting 20 to 30 minutes, we had to ask another colleague because the bill still hadn't arrived. The service was very poor; not recommended.

My steak was cold and I only ordered mains which was a bit underwhelming especially for the price and as the menu states it comes with fries but only got veggies and sweet potato mash. The waiter was friendly and good service though

We were at this restaurant last Saturday with a large group, expecting to have a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We arrived around 6:00 PM and did not leave the restaurant until around 10:00 PM. The service was extremely slow, and the dishes were served at completely different times. While one person was almost finished eating, another still had to wait for their dish. As a result, it was impossible for us to eat together. When we politely pointed out several times that the service was not going well, the team leader reacted in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. Instead of looking for a solution, he blamed us for the situation. His attitude was aggressive and intimidating. At one point, he even placed the plates on the table in a hard and aggressive manner. Additionally, he argued with two older people in our party in a disrespectful tone, even though they were only asking for clarification. Everything went wrong when settling the bill as well. From the start, we had clearly indicated that we wanted four set menus and the remaining dishes à la carte. Nevertheless, all the menus were charged separately, causing the bill to be incorrect. After pointing this out, we had to wait another half hour or so. Subsequently, we were presented with three different bills, none of which were correct. When I explained what we believed to be the correct calculation, this was dismissed without explanation, and I was told once again that it was our own fault. Ultimately, it appeared that we were being overcharged by nearly €80. Only after we indicated that we were prepared to call the police if necessary to resolve the situation objectively did the atmosphere change completely. The team leader became even more aggressive, even accusing us of having treated the waitress poorly and saying that he would report us to the authorities for it. That was particularly unjustified, as we had told the waitress several times that she could not do anything about the situation and thanked her for her kindness. After that, the team leader threw money at me and told me to leave. Even that amount turned out to be incorrect afterwards. When we left, he kept repeating that he would press charges against us. As if this wasn't enough, I was speaking Spanish with my husband outside. The team leader then literally said that I should “save Spanish for Spain.” I was born here and I have every right to speak the language we want with my husband. I perceived this remark as discriminatory and completely unacceptable. Ultimately, we had a poor meal due to the mediocre quality of the food, were unable to dine together because everything was served at different times, had to wait far too long, had problems with an incorrect bill, and received treatment that no customer should ever have to experience. The whole situation caused me so much stress that I eventually had an anxiety attack. It is particularly disappointing that something like this could happen in Almere Haven, especially on an evening when there was a Caribbean music festival and we had hoped for a pleasant evening with family, children, and the elderly. Instead, they all had to witness unprofessional and disrespectful treatment. Therefore, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

What should have been a pleasant evening, where we were going to grab a bite to eat and then go dancing to music by the harbor, ended in a four-hour ordeal where we were confined to the restaurant waiting for our food and never got to dance. One starter was forgotten while the rest had already arrived. After 45 minutes of patience, the forgotten starter still hadn't arrived, and we mentioned it, we received an aggressive response from the team leader stating that we weren't the only ones in the restaurant and that it was busy. When settling the bill, they also charged individual dish prices rather than the menu price. When we pointed this out, we received another aggressive response from the team leader. Never again will we visit Harmonie.

On several occasions, we received drinks and dishes at our table that were actually intended for other tables. The food itself was fine, but the quality was not particularly high. Additionally, the dishes did not arrive at the same time. One main course was even completely forgotten, meaning the rest of the party had already finished eating before it was eventually served. Also, one of the drinks we had ordered was ultimately not brought at all. The location is nice, the staff was friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, too much went wrong during our visit to be able to give more than 2 stars.

We sat comfortably by the harbor basin under a large parasol and had a delicious lunch. June 2026 Fortunately, there are plenty of shaded seats, which is very welcome in this weather, and of course, the beautiful view over the harbor and basin. The service remains pleasant and friendly. Like everything else, things have become a bit more expensive here too, but it offers good quality for an affordable price.

Last Sunday, we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in beautiful weather. It was quite busy, but everything was served quickly. The staff were super friendly and the food was prepared with care; we had a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Ordered coffee and cappuccino. Nice strong brew. Too bad we didn't get any sweeteners again, despite explicitly stating this when ordering. 3rd time here. It spoils it a bit.

This was my first time at this establishment, but it would also be my last. The service was terrible, and the prices were truly outrageous. A slice of apple pie with whipped cream (not what's on the menu) was €6.50, and a cappuccino was €4.25. These aren't exactly reasonable prices for a quick cup of coffee.

We had unlimited spare ribs here. The fries and salad were also unlimited. We're real spare rib eaters and were very pleased with the taste. We highly recommend trying the ribs here! Great service. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic place. I've eaten here several times with the family, and I'm always amazed. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and we've always found the food to be truly excellent. I've noticed they haven't been here long, but they're a real asset to the harbor basin!

Too embarrassing for words. We'd made a reservation for brunch with Harmen himself for Easter. When we arrived, they were closed. We'd made a personal reservation with Harmen for Boxing Day, but were informed one business day before that he'd canceled the Christmas menu. Not because there was anything serious going on, because that could be legitimate! We were offered €150 in compensation as a voucher for a future visit to De Harmonie or to dine elsewhere for Christmas. Well, we'll NEVER go to De Harmonie again, and arranging a Christmas menu last minute is obviously not an option either. What a terrible business owner to leave your customers out in the cold twice after making an appointment. It's a botched job! You don't want to give that guy your money anymore; he just leaves you hanging and pretends to feel sorry for you, but he simply didn't want to go through with it anymore. An appointment is NOT an appointment with Harmen, even if it's Easter or Christmas.

Summer is already here, we had a wonderful lunch on the terrace and recently also a delicious meal with colleagues.

The service is friendly, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. My wife received a Caesar salad consisting of a head of lettuce, five pieces of chicken, and a few croutons. Truly outrageous for the price of 17.50. My smoked salmon sandwich wasn't a sandwich at all, but a small slice of bread with a dollop of cream cheese and a single slice of salmon, all for 13.50. A place I'll never return to.

We had a delicious unlimited spareribs. A little advice for those who choose the spicy option: the reeper sauce is really quite spicy, so be very careful with it!

I've been here before, but unfortunately, I'm done with it now. We had to wait an incredibly long time for our order to be taken, then another hour for our main course, and then no one came to ask if we wanted anything to drink. My satay had a strange texture and flavor, but I ate it anyway. I regretted it immensely once I got home, as it came out both sides at once. They won't be seeing me again.

The service was excellent! The food wasn't up to par. The butter with the rolls was fresh from the refrigerator and unappetizing. Other guests were smoking at the tables around us on the patio. It was disgusting during lunch and completely out of date.

However, the atmosphere seemed a bit chaotic. But that had been the case before, so we knew that. Otherwise, we didn't have any negative experiences. Everything went smoothly.

A nice brasserie in Almere's harbor. The food was quite good. It was getting close to closing time, and there was a lot of clearing out going on around us, which made the atmosphere a bit muted. But it was cozy.

At 8 p.m., we wanted to grab a bite to eat. When we asked where we could sit, the grumpy waiter looked at his watch and sighed when we told him we wanted to eat. In hindsight, we should have left right then! Unfortunately, the food and service were very disappointing. Flatbread was served without paprika aioli, but with some kind of oil. The bread was smeared with herb oil, which was tasty, but was served unsliced and had to be torn. That's not a problem, but we didn't get a napkin. The steak was tough, the ribeye was okay, but the hollandaise was tasteless and the fries far too greasy. The risotto was good! In short, a waste of money and not something we'll be returning for.

Last weekend, my mother and I stumbled upon a lovely little spot called De Harmonie, tucked away on a peaceful corner by the harbor. We went there on both Saturday and Sunday morning for a cappuccino, and both visits were a real treat. The location itself is absolutely charming. There’s an option to sit outside under a covered terrace, which is perfect for those who want to enjoy the fresh air while staying sheltered. Inside, the vibe is cozy and inviting, with a retro-inspired decor that gives the place a unique character. It’s tastefully done, warm, a bit nostalgic, and very atmospheric. The music they played was pleasant and at just the right volume to enhance the mood without being intrusive. The bar area is beautifully set up and adds to the overall ambiance. The staff deserve a special mention: everyone we encountered was kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It felt like they really cared about the experience of their guests, which made a big difference. As for the coffee, it was excellent. The cappuccino was strong and flavorful, with perfectly frothed milk that had just the right texture. Smooth, rich, and satisfying. It’s clear they take their coffee seriously here, and it shows. All in all, De Harmonie is a peaceful little haven by the water, perfect for a slow morning coffee with someone you love. We’ll definitely be coming back.

What a lousy service First I sit with another gentleman waiting for over 10 minutes before a waiter comes out (ps it was quiet, he certainly wasn't busy) Looks rather grumpy and I ask for a coke, he doesn't say boo or bah Also when paying the bill, not a word is said, not even to the gentleman who pays for his beers. We were both very indignant. Where is the hospitality???? Well, certainly not here

Carpaccio was niet vers en verkleurd. Lang wachten 3 kwartier op hoofd gerecht, Kogelbiefstuk medium rear besteld, ik kreeg een medium/well done gekregen, bij het aanspreken op personeel hierover, ging men in discussie en men vond dat de biefstuk wel Medium rear was, maar ik kreeg wel Een nieuw exemplaar. Tweede kogelbiefstuk was nog beroerder dan de 1e, ook dit aangegeven en weer in discussie met klant, Na fotos te tonen op het internet wat medium rear was, hoefde ik niet te betalen. Goede oplossing maar ik had liever een goede biefstuk gegeten 1 keer maar nooit meer in de Harmonie, jammer!

Really bad. Had home made spare ribs. I received these lukewarm and seemed to have just come from the frozen supermarket. They really weren't tasty. When I indicated that I could get new ones. I thanked you for this. The garlic sauce was also not included. At checkout we did not receive a discount for the lukewarm food that I had not eaten. We should come back next time because this was not the standard, the staff said.

Wij zijn vanaf het allereerste begin al vaste gasten van jullie restaurant. Het is altijd goed en gezellig bij jullie, vooral ook door de leuke bediening van Maaike en de betrokkenheidheid van Harmen. Vandaag, 27 april 2025,was het echt verschrikkelijk. Er loopt een ober rond die liever niet werkt want bij alles wat je vraagt kijkt hij moeilijk en zucht hij omdat hij er geen zin in heeft. Het is niet die aardige man die alleen Engels spreekt, maar die andere meneer. Alles ging fout. Wat je bestelde was de helft van de normale porties of het was helemaal niet het juiste. Alles ging fout. Het bier van de tap was op en het brood was steeds anders dan we bestelden. Oké de dag ervoor was koningsdag maar dat hoeft geen excuus te zijn voor het tekort aan bier en de veeeel kleinere porties dan normaal. Dit zou nu een moment zijn om nooit meer terug te komen, maar we willen jullie nog het voordeel van de twijfel geven. Maar dat het zwaar tegenviel mag duidelijk zijn en ik hoop dat hier aan gewerkt wordt en zeker aan de keuze van het personeel want dat was echt heel verschrikkelijk. Carla

I don't recommend the risotto. Maybe the cook was having a bad day, but my risotto was quite watery and not very creamy. Some vegetables were missing, there was 1 mushroom and a few leaves of arugula...... My table companions were lucky with their satay and salmon, so they can certainly cook. Fries were also great. Other service was absolutely excellent, nice and fast and with visible experience.

As the oldest part of the city, Almere Haven has always retained the charm of a village. Now that the road along the harbor basin has been made car-free, it is nice to relax on the hospitable terraces. The range of restaurants is surprisingly varied. This time we visited the terrace of the Harmonie. Friendly staff, plenty of seating and delicious apple pie with the cappuccino. And with a lovely sun, you can imagine yourself on a large boulevard. Recommended!

It has become a favorite place for parties in our family! Team Harmen is always ready and super flexible in terms of content, decoration and layout of the furniture! Harmen and his team have been very fond of Harmen and his team from day 1, but even more so after some milestones in recent months (45, 50 and 18 years old)!
