Great experience! I celebrated my 40th birthday at Zuyder and it went absolutely perfectly. The staff was friendly, helpful, and flexible. Communication was very pleasant, and their advice ultimately led to a great result. Several guests were also very pleased with the food, and the general atmosphere was very cozy. The recommended DJ was also top-notch! Therefore, I would like to thank the team at Zuyder once again, and I can only recommend organizing your event with them!

Last weekend, we celebrated our joint 40th birthday at Zuyder. After contacting several locations, Jermain invited us to discuss the possibilities. Ultimately, we chose Zuyder and haven't regretted it for a single second. The communication beforehand was clear and prompt. On the day itself, everything was perfectly organized, and the atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic evening thanks to the amazing team at Zuyder, including Jermain, Gladys, and Anthony. Thanks again for a fantastic, successful, and carefree evening.

Bad food, dry toasted sandwich, zucchini soup that was far too salty and far too heavily peppered. Charging ridiculously high prices for bad food. Extremely loud music from a huge speaker on the terrace. A shame. The service, however, is extremely friendly and good.

Very nice place with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service was poor: things were forgotten and a lot was 'out of stock'. Strange, because the Plus supermarket is nearby, so surely you would just send someone over to restock? The pokebowl tasted good, but the portion was very small.

Cozy restaurant with a warm welcome from the staff. This evening I was served by Dayenne and Alyssa, who acted kindly, attentively, and professionally. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long for it. Definitely worth coming back.

Nice atmosphere. Very nice staff. We did have to wait a long time, though, and it smells like a snack bar. That is ultimately the biggest downside. The food was good, but sitting in the smell of the snack bar, you get more the feeling of a good plate service in a snack bar than that you are in a restaurant. If you are traveling by car, be careful with parking. At Zuyder, it looks like there are parking spaces, but there aren't. We were with two cars. Fines of €139 per car.

The food was delicious, and even the young and very polite chef took his time for us. The price was perfectly reasonable. A visit is worthwhile.

First time at Zuyder, but I won't be repeating this anytime soon. I had reserved a table, but even though it really wasn't busy, no one came to our table. Everyone was busy with themselves. I ended up just walking up to someone myself. Then, at the table, no one came to us. After more than 20 minutes, we finally got a menu. The boy who served us was completely unintelligible; he spoke so softly. It turned out the orange juice was out of stock, or the machine was broken—I couldn't hear him clearly—they weren't serving Negronis anymore, and it was hard to remember that a Coke had been ordered instead of lemonade. When you're sitting there waiting for your food, you look around and you see seriously a lot of dust clouds under the benches. The food itself is okay, but nothing special. I was really looking forward to having lunch here, but I don't think I'll be doing that for the time being. I find waiting 45 minutes to get two sandwiches and a salad really bizarre. A shame.

The food is not good at all.. I got chicken and waffles and the waffles were soooo sweet. Covered in sugar type of sweet. It’s supposed to be sweet and savoury but this was just straight sugar.

We stopped by Zuyder in Duin for some drinks and snacks, and overall we had a really pleasant experience. The interior is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. We ordered some drinks alongside cheese sticks which were perfectly crispy and delicious. The service was good, the staff was attentive, friendly, and served us with a smile. The only slight downside was that the music was a bit too loud for our liking. To be fair, this was mostly because we happened to be seated right next to the speaker, so it made conversation a little hard at times. That being said, it’s a nice spot with good food and nice service.

The service and staff were very disrespectful, very poor, and treated people unclearly. A very bad experience, and I eventually left. They also thought I was joking while I was serious, and they didn't take it seriously.

I attended a wedding. We had dinner and an evening party here. It was incredibly well taken care of, the food was delicious, and the appetizers were wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive, ensuring the guests were having a good time. Highly recommended!

We ate as a couple. For a Monday, the terrace was nicely full. It took a bit long to order, but the staff did their best. They were extremely friendly. The food was fine. Generous starters; the main course was a bit disappointing in terms of portions, but the taste was good. They even paid nice attention to my boyfriend's birthday, who was delightfully embarrassed😆. Perhaps the owners should schedule a bit more staff, so there is a little more attention for the tables. Mind you, this is not due to the staff tonight; they really did their best. All in all, a great experience, worth repeating.

There were two people sitting inside, and because we wanted to look outside, we took a table there. However, it was still dirty, so when the lady came to take our order, we asked her to clean it. The food and drinks arrived quite quickly. However, on my plate there was only a small grilled half aubergine and a ball of lukewarm/cold rice. So, this was gone in no time. My partner gave me some fries and his green salad, and when the lady came to ask if everything was to our liking, I told her the above and said: “I’m just eating some of his.” “That’s fine,” she said. Later, she came back to ask if everything was to our liking and if we wanted anything else. “No,” let’s just pay. “Great,” she said after the payment. So, not worth repeating.

The food was delicious, and Floor provided excellent service. This place is definitely worth a return visit!!!

Having lunch at Plus, or something a bit more elaborate at Zuyder... well, we're on vacation, so we might as well spend a bit more. It was quiet, with quite a lot of staff who seemed to have plenty of time to chat with each other. Still, we had to wait a long time, after which we decided to approach someone ourselves to take our order. After that long wait, it took a long time again before our lunch was brought; it was starting to look almost like dinner. And a small plate at that, even though it wasn't actually anything special. By then, our afternoon was almost over, so a walk along the water was out of the question. A real shame, because otherwise it looks quite cozy, but it didn't give us the dining-out feeling we had hoped for.

We visited this restaurant today and overall had a very pleasant experience. The food was excellent, and there are almost no complaints about the kitchen. The only small remark is that the Eggs Benedict was not prepared quite the traditional way. However, the salmon salad completely made up for it — it was outstanding. The kitchen also accommodated all of my requests, which I really appreciated. As for the service, there is some room for improvement. The waiter saw us arrive and was the one who seated us, but did not seem in a hurry to bring us the menu, which felt a bit unusual. The cutlery could also use an upgrade, as it is showing signs of wear and is due for replacement. The coffee was excellent. Overall, I would definitely come back again because the food was genuinely delicious.

We wanted to have a nice coffee here with a group of girls and children, but upon arrival, the restaurant turned out to still be closed. Eventually, we were told that the staff had overslept. After some time, someone finally came to open up. We did receive an apology for this, but it was a shame that no further concession or compensation was offered. Additionally, the drinks and food were a bit disappointing this time. We have been here often in the past and had a better experience then, so that made the disappointment even greater. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident and the service will return to what we were used to.

The waitress lied that you could only eat if you had a reservation. Meanwhile, people were sitting down and being served by her without a reservation. They also said that they had not submitted a reservation.

I love coming here, and my friends now do too. This is the perfect spot for drinks. Lovely terrace in the summer, fun kids' corner, and great parties in the winter months. They still offer truly personal service; definitely try the cocktails! Dogs are also very welcome.

Had lunch today. The Eggs Benedict was fine. The salad on the side was really just for decoration and otherwise not worth the effort. Some iceberg lettuce with a tiny bit of tomato and a drop of dressing. The Carpaccio was unfortunately terrible. Topped with iceberg lettuce. No pine nuts, no cheese, and even more iceberg lettuce underneath the carpaccio. The bread underneath was soggy due to all the lettuce and dressing. Otherwise, the dish had little flavor. Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio for this dish was nowhere to be found. The service was very friendly, though, and the atmosphere is fine.

I always get great service here, the location is perfect, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The staff really do their best to make you feel at ease, and the food and drinks are delicious too!

Did not get to try anything. Was here on a Sunday and it was empty. Sat down and waited for 30 minutes. The waiter walked past us multiple times to serve the other 3 tables were someone was sitting. He then proceed to chat for 10 minutes with a friend. We got up and left. Way to go especially with so many options around this place. Not gonna come back.

We had a super fun Easter brunch! The buffet had an incredible amount of choice, and everything was delicious and well-presented. I had lunch today with my two daughters, one of whom is pregnant. Because of gestational diabetes, we didn't want to have a baby shower over high tea. I emailed the restaurant to ask if they could do something "blue." When we arrived, there was a fantastic blue cloud with balloons hanging by the table. So thoughtful. My daughter loved it. And of course, we had a delicious meal. Thank you very much...

We had lunch last week with two people. One of us eats gluten-free due to an allergy. This was taken into account incredibly well. Gluten-free bread was available, and they constantly consulted with the kitchen about what was possible. The service was top-notch, very friendly, and the food delicious; we will definitely come back again, thank you!

My wife wanted to go to the toilet and could just go without paying. You don't see that anymore in the Netherlands, big thumbs up.

First of all, it was much too cold inside; we moved to another spot, but the difference wasn't that big. - One of the dishes we ordered was “crispy chicken.” It was a ready-made dish bought from, for example, “Mr Fillet,” but your kitchen cut it in half. - My cutlery wasn't entirely clean, and the knife was so blunt that I literally had to struggle to cut my bread. - A staff member was mopping with bare hands, and the same person placed the “crispy chicken” on the plate again with bare hands. - I asked for Cola Zero, but I received a drink of an unknown brand with a completely different taste. I wasn't planning to mention all these details, but you asked for them yourself.

What a wonderful experience at Restaurant Zuyder! We celebrated my mother's 72nd birthday, and the staff really made it something special. They had deliberately placed the candles upside down — 27 instead of 72 — to make my mother feel good. She was absolutely delighted! The food was excellent and more than plentiful; it was a real treat. As the icing on the cake, "Happy Birthday" was also played through the speakers, which made the moment complete. Special thanks to Jermain and Ricardo for the amazing service and attention, but of course, compliments also to the skilled kitchen staff. A wonderful experience that we won't soon forget!

Really nice place, they have a great kids corner. We had very good service from Ricardo and the food from Peter was tasty. Guys were def service oriented and very accommodating to our requests, always important when you are with little kids.

We dined at Jermain's for a special occasion. Zuyder is a nicely decorated place with a relaxed atmosphere. We were welcomed warmly and had a truly delicious meal. Highly recommended!

The four of us had a fun and delicious evening. The food arrived exactly on time and was very tasty. The waiter was surprised that my daughter (11) had finished the Zuyder burger (highly recommended). They also took good care of my wife, who has a gluten allergy, by providing gluten-free toast. The chicken burger was very good. The right balance between chicken and jalapeno. The staff was friendly, and so was the owner. We had a very nice and delicious evening. We will be back in April 2026 for the new menu; we are already curious!

Polite staff, great food and drinks, and a nice location!

We went there today for my son's birthday. The man working there, I think the owner, was a nice man. He was great with the kids and showed interest. He asked if it was my son's birthday, heard us talking, and said, "Oh, I'll be right back." We thought he was going to do something nice for him, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. No problem, that's what we expected. In my opinion, when you hear a child has a birthday and is turning 12, it's not much trouble to put a candle or something in their food. We sat by the swing inside. This was really annoying. NEVER AGAIN! Children came in, belonging to a woman sitting outside, and she kept swinging against the table. I had to ask the boy to stop six times. The woman behind the bar saw it and looked at me. She didn't say anything. After 5 or 10 minutes, the owner said something. I was happy about it, but he also saw it the first few minutes and could have intervened sooner. This is the worst thing I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I paid 75 euros, and then I had children swinging against my table. The experience was ruined. The food was generally okay. The crispy chicken club sandwich didn't have much chicken, but it tasted good. The toasted sandwiches were just toasted sandwiches. My wife was very happy with her yogurt bowl. The pistachio French toast was really delicious, though. My son was happy with it. If you decide to eat here, I would advise NEVER to sit near the swings. Having the wrong children there at the same time can ruin your whole experience. If you can sit somewhere else, I think you'll have a great time.
