Delicious sandwiches, but very busy.

Been coming here for a few years now. Sandwiches are TOP. Today on Saturday there is a lady with tattooed arms who makes the sandwiches. She eats "nicely" herself while preparing and puts everything in her mouth with her bare hands. Disgusting to see that she even takes the fillet out of the jar and regularly brings it to her mouth. This is really not on, do something about it. Really a disgusting sight.

Nice place, quiet music in the background. Friendly staff, ordering at the bar (no problem) We had lunch with 5 people, the ham sandwich was delicious. The sandwiches (pistolets) were very fresh and warm.

A wonderful place where you can have a good lunch. Due to the crowds you can hardly sit there and unfortunately it is often takeaway.

Today we drove from Haarlem to the Leidschendam shopping center. From Haarlem to Leidschendam is about a 45-minute drive. Leidschendam Shopping Center is a beautiful newly built shopping mall and you can park there for free. From the top parking deck with the escalator to the ground floor, you can easily walk into De Heren van Beest. A regular cup of coffee costs €2.20 here, a Cappuccino a little more. And probably more people know that, because it was quite busy. A minced baguette €5.00 and a salmon salad sandwich €6.00. After a few hours of shopping we went back to De Heren van Beest for a drink. Well, I stepped inside and stood in line, because it was very busy again this time. Tasty warm fresh rolls were served to us. A €0.30 deposit was charged for the 2 bottles. I don't think many guests will notice that, so they will ask for the deposit back. Disguised tip.

Vegetarian review 1. Food, pesto with honey?.. bad mix, nauseating 2. Honey jam tasted like water with sugar. why not real honey? No taste at all. I certainly won't be back for the food. 3. Small business, fills up quickly due to a shortage of tables. 4. The only plus was the coffee, which was quite OK for the price (cappuccino 2.30) 2 sandwiches with 2 cappuccinos 17 euros.

Just ordered a healthy Baguette. Of which the other half fell apart on another table due to someone else causing it. Initially I would receive a new fresh sandwich, then another person comes to me who gives the fallen sandwich back and does not want to make a new one. Zojuist een Baguette gezond besteld. Waarvan de andere helft op een andere tafel uit elkaar viel door iemand anders die het veroorzaakte. In eerste instantie zou ik een nieuw vers broodje krijgen vervolgens komt er een ander persoon naar mij toe die het gevallen broodje weer terug geeft en geen nieuwe wilt maken. Waarop ik zeg dat vind ik niet fris met al die handen etc en netjes hoe je het oplost, enkel een arrogante oke en draait zich om en loopt weg. Vandaar deze review GRAAG GEDAAN

My American credit card and/or debit didn't work here only cash. My sandwich was delicious.

The sandwiches here are delicious, I like coming here. But after my last experience, I'm staying away for a while. The lady who helped me first wiped her sweat from her head with a tissue and then blew her nose. She served sandwiches without washing her hands. Once she took my order at the cash register she explicitly asked if I was alone. I said that I was indeed alone. In response, she sent 2 people away to a 4-person table while shouting through the store 'because I wanted to sit there'. There were also other tables available, I was quite embarrassed. When I indicated that I wanted 2 sandwiches she said 'but you are alone'. I looked at her questioningly and she said 'you are going to eat 2 sandwiches by yourself?!'. I felt so embarrassed that I didn't say anything about it. I ate my 2 delicious sandwiches (all by myself, wow!) and left.

This is my to go lunch shop when I am in The Mall of The Netherlands, delicious sandwiches with plenty of fillings, not too expensive and always very fast service. It's not super big inside so you have to be lucky to get a seat.

Tastiest Sandwiches in Leidschendam

A truly 'Dutch' place, a super nice place if you fancy real Dutch. Super nice staff. I didn't think the sandwich was special, just a baguette like you can find everywhere. It was certainly tasty, but I didn't think it was as special as claimed.

For the first time in a few years, now very dissatisfied! Would you rather make the sandwiches a bit more expensive instead of barely toppings? we had filet americain sandwiches and there was barely anything on them, which was a shame!

Weer ongelofelijk lekker, waar doen ze het van voor die prijs! Zalig stokbrood warme geitenkaas met honing en rauwe ham met pijnboompitten en dan de rosbief rucolasla pijnboompitten en truffelmayo. Wat was het weer lekker! Hoop dat ze nooit veranderen! Dan blijven wij hier altijd komen.... liefde gaat echt door de maag!

Often bought sandwiches and always helped very well, lately customer friendliness has become increasingly difficult... in the past there was always a choice between white or brown bread, never a problem to bake brown bread as long as we don't have any ourselves. really had to wait 10 mins. The last two times we received the comment that the brown bread was 'finished' and could no longer be baked, strange at 1:30 PM when you are open until 8:00 PM? The first time we thought it could happen, but the last time the doubts surfaced. Again we were told that the brown bread would be 'finished', but this was not really reported in a very friendly manner, more with the message; sorry for your success! After placing the order and taking a seat, I see and hear the person in question say to his colleague; They asked for brown bread again, I said it's gone! With the facial expression of *haha I really didn't feel like it* the colleague of the best person made the same kind of facial expression, which made it clear to us that they simply didn't feel like baking the bread. In my opinion, the paying customer is always king and if you indicate the option of brown bread on the menu (for which you also have to pay extra) you should continue to offer this option, not only when you feel like it. have. And if you want to share your 'trick' with your colleague, do this behind the scenes so that your customers do not discover this by chance. Despite the quality of the sandwiches and the wide range, I don't know whether we will get another sandwich at the Heeren van Beest anytime soon... this situation has left us with quite a bad aftertaste and we think that is a great pity, especially because it used to be it wasn't so!

Erg fijne plek, supervriendelijk personeel en heerlijke broodjes!

Haal hier altijd super lekkere broodjes voor in de pauze. Ze werken snel en zorgvuldig. Ook zijn ze nog eens super aardig en behulpzaam! mijn andere collega's zijn ook fan. Vaak geholpen door Henry echt super lief.

I am currently on my annual vacation at The Hague and stopped by this bakery in the Westfield mall that was open on a Sunday (mall shops open between 11-12 today). The coffee was good and the food seemed to be excellent.

Heerlijke vers gemaakte broodjes

Heerlijk broodje gegeten met truffelsalami en mijn lunchpartner één met filet. Veel keuze waardoor er voor ieder wat wils te bestellen valt. Doordat je bij de balie moet bestellen, welke zich in de winkel bevind zorgt dit wel voor veel mensen naast je tafeltje.

Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke broodjes!!!

Helaas, vandaag 3*. Ik kom er al jaren maar wat zijn de broodjes nu zooo matig belegd. Kloddertje filet of krabsalade op de baguette wat er bijna volledig weer afgeschrapt wordt. Voor de 17,- incl. Cappuccino vr 2p mag het beleg wel wat dikker zeg. Ik neem altijd anderen mee om er te lunchen maar ga hier geen reclame meer voor maken🤔😌 Erg jammer.

Dubbele espresso met een gevulde koek, niet bijzonder, maar toch wel.

Prima prijzen, zeer vriendelijke service en erg lekkere broodjes.

Even een snelle hap, maar dan wel graag een ongelooflijk heerlijk moment. Het eten komt rap op tafel, is kakelvers en zeer goed verzorgd. Betaalbaar.

Vast ritueel als we in de Mall komen, lunch bij de Heren. Altijd goed, altijd druk. Kan niets verzinnen om negatief over te zijn. Maar wel een vraagje. Ik zie niemand handschoenen dragen, ook niet tijden het wisselen tussen de verschillende bakken met beleg. Ook als er vleeswaren gesneden worden, zonder. Dus.... hoeft dat niet (meer), of ben ik misschien (te) kritisch? Dit is trouwens geen reden om er niet meer te komen.

Zeer lekkere broodjes en sapjes.

Onwijs goede zaak. Heb hier toch wel het lekkerste broodje bal gegeten wat ik ooit gegeten heb. Ook de service is top, aardig personeel en je eten wordt snel gebracht. Kom hier zeker vaker terug. Ook de prijs is erg netjes voor wat je krijgt.

De Heren van Beest is ondertussen al jaren een Leidschendams begrip van kwaliteit. Heerlijke verse broodjes die op maat worden gemaakt. Vandaag carot cake en een broodje, zoete oude pikante kaas. Héérlijk.

De beste broodjes die je in de hele omgeving vind! Wij rijden er speciaal voor om en halen altijd onze verse broodjes hier, we zijn al jarenlang een trouwe klant van vader en zoon van Beest!

Lekkere broodjes met veel keuze. Makkelijk af te halen. Wij hadden een grote bestelling (22 broodjes) en alles stond op tijd klaar.

Heerlijke broodjes, goede koffie voor een fatsoenlijke prijs. Echte aanrader! Voor €6,30 had ik een lekkere bruine mini-baguette met brie, honing, pesto en tomaat. Heerlijk! Cappuccinootje voor €2,10. En je kunt lekker even zitten. Kom hier zeker terug, veel lekkere dingen op het menu! Restaurantje is ook leuk en gezellig aangekleed.
