We had a delicious meal in beautiful surroundings. A bit pricey, though.

Everything was just wonderful. We had Tomotto soup, fries with pulled chicken, apple tart and pana cota. Delightful 😊

The price-quality balance was a bit off during our visit. The portions were quite small compared to the prices they charge. €5 for an apple pie with cream is reasonable if you get a nice piece. But instead, it was really cold and smaller than you get in other places, and the cream was really sloppy.

You can eat very well here. We sat outside on the terrace. It's a beautiful spot by the water.

This afternoon, after our visit to the glassblowing studio, we had a delicious and affordable lunch here. My husband and I both had the chicken and pesto sandwich, and it had been a long time since I'd had such a delicious sandwich...truly delicious! The staff was friendly and did their utmost to serve the busy shop as quickly and efficiently as possible. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back for lunch!

The staff was very friendly, went out of their way to accommodate our dietary requirements, and the food was delicious! A tip: The restrooms were spotlessly clean, but not quite in keeping with the restaurant's ambiance.

At 28 degrees Celsius, we had a wonderful meal by the water under the parasol. The mixed grill is definitely recommended. Deliciously tender meat with three sauces. The chicken satay was topped with satay sauce and fried onions. A mixed salad and prawn crackers were served on the plate. A choice of fries or seasoned potatoes. The cod fillet was also very tasty. The price was reasonable for what you got. Friendly service, we will definitely be back.

I can't remember the last time we had such a bad meal. The creamy mustard soup (starter) was a bowl of warm water with a faint mustard flavor. For my main course, I had the tenderloin steaks. They were like chewing on tough, chewy pieces of gum. My partner had a mixed grill, and that wasn't great either. Such a shame for such a beautiful location. It could be so much better.

The food was okay, unfortunately not medium/rare as we requested, but it was still tasty. Too many people smoking on the patio. That was a shame. I would ban smoking on the patio. It was pricey. The location was nice, though. And we were able to sit there with two people without a reservation.

Sunday with a group of motorcyclists from Eindhoven here had a coffee on the terrace. What a great waitress was on the terrace. She was so cheerful, friendly and kept coming to chat with us. Really a top woman who is 100% made for the catering industry.

After a cruise on the Linge, we had a nice relaxing meal with our group. Food was delicious. I had a Mixed Grill and the satay and beef skewer were delicious. That alone is reason enough to come visit again. And then a little earlier so that we can also look at the glassblowers. They were just cleaning up when we arrived.

Second time now and again so tasty, so wonderfully served. Ideal location if two friends do not live near each other. Each half an hour drive and you can catch up and have a super tasty lunch. For me I had the toast tartare and apple crumble and my tablemate had the carpaccio. See you in a few months!

Ordered 2x sandwich and 2 drinks The sandwiches are too small / read: price and quality vary too far, And your coffee and tea don't come until you're almost done eating. Tip: first bring drinks and then place your kitchen order. This increases turnover because people then order something more often.

Had dinner here with friends 2 weeks ago on Saturday. Among other things, we ordered the mixed grill twice. Unfortunately, the steak skewer was extremely tough and inedible for both. Then we get a new steak skewer, but here again exactly the same problem. Just really bad quality meat. To solve the problem, we are given the option for another souvlaki instead of the steak, but when we cut it open we immediately see that the pork is still raw and cold inside, but this complaint is not taken seriously. The chef and owner also makes no effort to ask for the tough steak back to the kitchen or to look at the raw pork in the souvlaki. Too bad, because we come here regularly, but not anymore after this experience.

Special blowing and restaurant special combination, very pleasant.

Last week I had lunch with my 10 year old son. It is always advisable to book in advance because it is often full, but last week we were able to go without a reservation, partly due to the nice weather, which also meant that the terrace was open. We ordered a chicken sandwich and mayo fries. Even though the latter was not on the lunch menu, it was no problem. The chicken sandwich was very tasty and well filled, in addition to the sandwich there were some nachos with a dip as a finishing touch. A good ratio for the price of € 14.50. A well-filled lunch for both of us. The cone with fries was also more than sufficient. The service was very friendly and fast despite several larger groups, the interior cozy and warm. We will definitely come back here.

The chef of De Houtloods in Leerdam thinks this is 'well done' pork souvlaki. Unfortunately, the souvlaki we received was clearly raw on the inside and absolutely not fit to eat. Disappointing experience, especially considering the health risks of undercooked meat. The chef did not want to indicate this himself at the table. It seems that these types of experiences are becoming more common in restaurants, where food safety is not always taken seriously.

I have been eating in a restaurant for a long time as gastronomy is meant to be. Delicious food and top service. Highly recommended.

I visited with a group of 20 cyclists on tandems, after making a reservation by email. When we arrived there were tables, outside, under umbrellas, waiting for us. We had a view of the museum and canal. Service and food were both excellent. I can eat large amounts but I struggled finishing my sandwich. Quality was also very good.

Cozy place on the Linge with a nice terrace. The toilets, on the other hand, are more suitable for a campsite than a nice restaurant. But otherwise great.

My wife and I went there for a cocktail on a sunny afternoon. The location is nice and the staff is friendly. We asked for two Mojitos, they were around €10 each. They were clearly from a can, not freshly made and did not taste good. We won't go back there for more cocktails. To the owners: please don't offer cocktails that are supposed to be freshly made if all you do is pour them from a can, put some ice in the glass and charge €10 each for them. I could also have gone to AH and bought the can myself.

Today I completed an earlier session regarding the glass museum in Leerdam. Bought a combination ticket last year. But due to a huge crowd at the time, we only visited the museum and today the glass blowing workshop. And what luck that is. Today I was able to meet a growing diamond named Loena. She has only been a glassblower student for a year and a half, but she is already making such beautiful things. She works the glass with great ingenuity and a great dose of imagination and insight as if she was born for it. Great to see. What was also striking was the collaboration between the three glassblowers who were present. All very professional. The people in the store are also very enthusiastic. They can and want to tell you everything about the glass that is for sale and who made it. There are also some gems from Loena there. Had a drink in the adjacent restaurant. Fast service and customer friendly. I highly recommend relaxing with a glass of wine after a wonderful bike ride. The name wood shed actually comes from the old days when an old wood factory dried its wood there to saw it into planks. After the disappearance of this wood factory, this warehouse was renovated by Moluccan workers. Then glassblowers came in. And with some adjustments, the wood shed has become what it is today.
