Popped in here this afternoon after a refreshing walk. Very friendly staff. I ordered an Aperol spritz, and they asked if I could be the tester for the cinnamon spritz. Well, I'm always up for trying new things. I have to say, it was amazing. Definitely put it on the menu 😁😁. We also had a bite to eat there, and that was delicious too. Thank you.

We had dinner here last Friday and it was fantastic. Excellent service, cozy and atmospheric restaurant, and delicious food. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

We had a game menu that exceeded our expectations! 5 courses, and every single one was simply excellent. Thank you.

Nice atmosphere, but the staff is very slow to check if anyone wants to order. I saw this happen at several tables. It's also a shame that if you want to order a children's grilled cheese, it's not available, but a regular grilled cheese is, even though a regular grilled cheese isn't on the menu. It was also more expensive than the children's grilled cheese. We did go back a second time, wanting to give it another try. The team was different and the service was excellent. We were there for dinner that time, and the food was delicious. It just goes to show how staff can make or break a restaurant.

We went for the Spooky Dinner. It was super fun! All the staff were dressed up, the restaurant was nicely decorated, and there was someone walking around doing face painting for the children. When ordering a pitcher of lemonade, we 'forgot' to specify that it should be red (this is pretty standard everywhere in the Netherlands), but exchanging it was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful! It was a bit strange, though, that we were only served fries after our starter. After waiting patiently for over half an hour, and of course, having eaten the fries in the meantime, we finally asked where our dishes were. While the starter met our expectations, we were very disappointed with the main course. For example, the vegetables with the cheese fondue were completely cold and therefore not very flavorful. And the spare ribs had been grilled a bit too hard, so they were black on one side and the burnt flavor was overwhelming. Such a shame! Because I thought the meat itself was good quality, but this time it was almost impossible to taste. There's definitely something to be gained here! When I mentioned this to the employee, the response I got was, "Oh, we always serve them like this." Okay, but that doesn't mean it's supposed to be that way and that it's healthy (carcinogenic). So, unfortunately, we left most of it. And the face paint... Well, that could have been better, in my opinion.

What a lovely place! A crackling fire, friendly staff, and delicious food. And nothing is too much trouble. I asked for an iced coffee that wasn't on the menu anymore. It was made for me effortlessly, and the bartender asked if I wanted Baileys in it, which made it absolutely perfect. We'd love to come back!

The food is fine, but the service is really bad. We waited a long time to order, then for the food itself, and then didn't get everything served. We had to ask repeatedly where the food or the last person's dish was, and/or had to tell them what was missing. If the service improved, it would really be a nice restaurant.

I really enjoyed my time with friends at De Keizer. The staff went above and beyond to cater for allergies and made great substitutions so we can still enjoy dinner. The food tasted great, fresh and overall high quality. The atmosphere and interior design is super cozy. We will certainly visit De Keizer again!

Never before had such an unfriendly welcome. We drove there from Belgium to get a drink. A very unfriendly young man stood at the entrance. He said we weren't allowed in because they were having a private party. It was almost 9 p.m. and there were maybe five people at a table. We were allowed to sit on the veranda. Well... The veranda is the smoking area, and outside in the cold. We went back... And asked if we couldn't just sit in a corner at the bar because the veranda is too cold and too much smoke. There was one man smoking heavily. The man said he couldn't do anything for us. My partner got angry and walked away, and I practically kept begging because we drove around for over an hour trying to find the place. There was absolutely no private party to be seen. So we'll never go there again. We could easily sit in the corner by the bar for a coffee.

The ambiance is very upscale and the location truly impressive. Unfortunately, there is significant room for improvement. We had reserved a table for lunch that evening. When we arrived, the restaurant was barely busy, yet there were no tables available either inside or outside. The tables outside were so wobbly that it was almost impossible to put anything down, so we moved inside. They had difficulty seating us, even though there had been very few customers all evening. The food was average. The children's menu was particularly disappointing. Our daughter had been really looking forward to a burger, but she got a tiny mini-burger, suitable only for very young children. The children's disappointment was clearly visible. The service also seemed inattentive. During the meal, no one asked if everything was okay. After the meal, the table was cleared away immediately, without giving us the opportunity to order dessert or more drinks. The children were only asked about their ice cream flavor, which was part of the menu. Considering the relatively high prices, the overall package doesn't quite match the expectations. The location has a lot of potential, but the service, organization, and quality of the food fall short of expectations.

We went here for high tea with the baby shower package. You pay extra for decorations and games, but this is very minimal. You don't need to go for a gluten-free high tea. The high tea consisted of one sandwich, a salad (only lettuce, tomato, cucumber), and a bowl of red fruit. The staff was also uninformed, and the serving process wasn't logical.

I had a wonderful High Tea here with my friends for my baby shower. It was pleasantly busy on Friday afternoon! The food was delicious and varied, and they even catered to dietary requirements beforehand, so even as a pregnant woman, I could have everything. Definitely going back!

Enjoyed a delicious meal on the terrace after a bike ride. Ordered food and paid immediately via the app, which is displayed via a QR code at the table. Very convenient.

After a long wait, we asked the staff where our coffee was. They brushed us off with, "If you've ordered, your order will surely arrive." Then, after waiting almost half an hour, we left again.

I've rarely had such a good burger, but the brownie was burnt. Too bad about the inconsistencies.

Only the magician was great, but they kept saying, "Take your time." We registered at 9:15 PM for the 6:00 PM drop-off. We ordered the menu well in advance, and the waiter kept saying, "Take your time." The first course took forever, but then the main course, two spare ribs, were as dry as hay. They must have been sitting there for hours. We immediately asked for ice cream because we had to leave. When someone went to the toilet, it was apparently blocked. "Come on, hang up a note," he said. "Unfortunately, the toilet was inaccessible, so dirty...you wouldn't be hungry anymore!" We also had lunch at Wijde Blick. Highly recommended, the king, a shame, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Ter Spegelt: Everything is great, but I advise against going to De Keizer. So many complaints about dirty toilets, do something about it...that's one of the main points. Address the complaints!

I went to De Keizer and was super pleased! The food is quite diverse, with options for all tastes—perfect for family Or groups of friends.The service was impeccable, and the entire staff was very Professionals, friendly, attentive. I will definitely come back.

A wonderful place to relax, surrounded by nature. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome. We had some snacks, which were much better than the standard snacks you can get everywhere.

We ate here last Wednesday night for the magicians' night. However, a lot went wrong. The hamburger on the children's menu was completely red inside. Dessert arrived while we were still eating, so we sent it back. However, it didn't arrive at all later. We also had problems with the restroom, and one of the dishes was missing for the last hour. We ended up having to walk to the counter myself to pay.

Dramatic service, 1.5 hours waiting for a starter! Never come again!!

Not to come back. Staff barely looks at you. More than "what can it be" and "enjoy your meal" does not come out. (There were 5 tables occupied for 3 staff members) Toilets were extremely filthy, and not that there had just been 1 dirty person before me. No, this was really from a long time. Then the food can be fine, but the whole experience counts. And that was bad.

Nice food but we sent some bread back because it was still frozen inside and then one of the employees behaved very unpleasantly and annoyingly

May 25th we had a high tea here (birthday of my wife), what a disappointment. The tea pot was put on the table and the boxes were placed next to it, a bit strange. Put your tea water on a hot plate so that your water stays warm. It is not a competition high tea but yes The soup was lukewarm, and dirty containers where it was in. Then the cake stand with bread came, a very quick explanation from the staff and she was gone. I can't say that I got value for money, the 26.50 pp is on the high side for the quality that you serve. The unmotivated staff is also not recommended. And of course you get a standard answer very annoying this is not our standard we will report this back, but for me not twice at this location.

We got a delicious homemade espresso martini from the Portuguese waiter. We are enjoying ourselves. Highly recommended!

Perfect restaurant for a family with small children, but where you as parents also want to dine in beautiful surroundings. Food and service were top notch, a lot of attention for the children (large bouncy ball outside, children's menus, coloring pages, etc.) but in terms of interior design there was also a cozy and beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely come back here soon! Ps don't forget to make a reservation, it is often full from the adjacent campsite

This is really highly recommended!!! We had dinner here when we were staying overnight at the Ter Spegelt campsite, this restaurant is great. There is a bouncy castle for the children and the parents can also have a great time here! The food is super tasty! We spent approximately 20 to 30 pp for a main course and dessert. The staff is also really super friendly to everyone. The atmosphere is also great! So if anyone is looking for a restaurant to eat at, I would really recommend this!

We regularly go to the Keizer in Eersel, very nice atmosphere, the food is super tasty & the service is excellent. The service is also always busy with our kids, which of course makes it extra nice for us!

The drinks board is very unattractive. What's on it is all out of the package, nothing fresh. Everything from the frozen or pre-cut and composition does not look appetizing. Cheese poor quality. Price quality of the case is very below par. Staff friendly but not enough.

Lunch was cold, what a disappointment

Drinks and snacks were delicious. Service was top, smooth and friendly.

It is a beautiful location and very spacious. You can sit by the fireplace after a walk. The food itself is unfortunately very bad. The Rendang sandwich is served (ice) cold and the salad certainly does not look fresh. The service also takes some time. All in all a less pleasant experience, but that could of course also be a coincidence. Maybe better next time!

We had the 3-course menu and my grandchildren the gnome menu. They were just right portions, not too much and certainly not too little. The Josper Duo was really tasty. The service was very friendly and helpful, they were also so nice with the children. Very nice atmosphere for a nice meal with the family. We will definitely come back!

Nice waiters. Pig in the Tom Kha Kai, then you don't know your trade, it's Thai chicken soup! I am also allergic to pork. Meat not asked how I wanted it. I got my neighbor medium well done. Tuna steak was still cold inside and dry, I think it had been frozen and not the color tuna should be. I left most of it because the pig Kha Kai bothered me. Full plates picked up without asking if there was anything wrong with the food.

We went there twice within three days. Our first visit was perfect. Service was great and the food was very good. There were like 20% customers at this time. The second day we went the was not so good because it seems like there’s a lack of personnel, leading to long waiting times to even get the menu. The second time we ordered the tiramisu, it was like the half of the portion we received at the first time.

We had a very tasty meal. Had different dishes. Everything looked great and tasted very good. The 4-course surprise menu is definitely recommended.

We went here for dinner tonight. When we arrived around 6 p.m. it was already a messy start, even though it was quiet. Start at the table was okay. I ordered my wine later, but it took quite a while (a colleague forgot to let me know). Food came to the table quickly, a platter for 2 people. It was very tasty, but the pulled pork was very strong. After the food was served, we didn't see anyone at the table anymore. Always had to signal for a drink or something like that and was not asked if it tasted... bad. But at the tables around us..?! Then had a special coffee... it was more like a drink with coffee instead of coffee with a drink. Oh yes, and also monotonous music. We also had our little one with us, but there is nothing for children to do, it would be nice to have a coloring page or something like that. After this experience, no more for us...

Unfortunately no photos were taken, but it was a really nice terrace with nice staff who really took their time, there were 6 of us. Also nice to sit and enjoy a good meal.

What a great restaurant this is! The food was of good quality and there were many tasty and diverse dishes on the menu. Even though the first time wasn't quite what we had hoped for, they made up for it completely the 2nd time. Shout out to Julie who also dealt with our criticism very politely when we didn't like it and didn't argue but rather looked for a solution. Tom also guided us nicely the 2nd time. After a 5-star experience in May 2022, and a ditto experience in August 2022, for which we came here especially, I can only conclude that the level has deteriorated sharply. Went for dinner again on Sunday April 30 with a group of 6. Service was mediocre and had little experience and no appropriate answers to questions. Unfortunately, the main course for 4 people (Josper plank) was already served before the starter. The other 2 people then had to wait for their dish, so the four of us started eating because otherwise it would get cold. The starters have logically been cancelled. We were offered a round of drinks in compensation. The successful Josper plank has changed in composition, making it considerably less attractive and more surprising in taste. Pity. Based on our successful experience, we made a reservation again for Thursday, May 4, for a final dinner of our holiday. Unfortunately, we canceled it based on this experience.

We made a reservation on Thursday evening as a surprise for our parents. Upon arrival there was some confusion as it was suddenly "asparagus evening", we were not aware of this and therefore unfortunately could not order from the regular menu. We were received very kindly and sweetly by a nice, spontaneous young lady who afterwards gave us drinks on the house as an apology for the miscommunication. As a result, our experience was very positive and we would love to come back for another chance! All credit to her, her colleague was a lot less hospitable 😉. So if you are reading this, thank you very much for the warm welcome and the friendly solution!

Food was quite good but very small portions. Especially if you compare this with the prices, this is a downer when you are served your plate (starter, main course and dessert). Layout the plates neatly. Attractive decor of the restaurant, but the service is absolutely not what you should expect. Even though it wasn't that busy, our glasses were often empty and we had to call the waiter's attention every time for a new drink. Cutlery was missing and had to be asked for. Steak ordered medium rare arrives at the table almost well done. Unfortunately not worth repeating for us.

My in-laws have been married for 65 years! We celebrated this yesterday with a dinner with 14 people. My father-in-law had personally reserved well in advance and indicated why we were coming to eat and asked for the room, which is a bit separate. Such a shame that we came yesterday and nothing was done about it. And especially because we saw that there were 6 people in the desired room, where the dessert was served with extra attention. We left a decent amount of money and knowing my father-in-law he still left a tip. Definitely a missed opportunity and negative points scored!

Easter High Tea on April 1, you may see the stars and still hope this is a joke. But unfortunately! Although the High Tea was generous in quantity, the expression "quality over quantity" still applies here. We expected the Keizer to be more homemade. The soup beforehand was a bit bland. The sandwiches themselves were smaller versions of the sandwiches on the lunch menu, so very good! The sweet part seemed anything but homemade and did not meet expectations. The eggs and mimosas mentioned in the description of the Easter High Tea were hard to find. We already joked that with the amount of champagne in the mimosa, no alcohol test would work 😉 However, the controls were the biggest pain point. The service assumed that guests would indicate when they wanted something and did not want to disturb the company. Special. But fine, just indicate this in advance or ask the guests for confirmation. There was no introduction at the start. Afterwards it turned out, for example, that the control replenishes tea water when the lid is placed upside down on the pot. Fine, but it is useful to let us know in advance or to indicate this after the first refill. Only after the soup were we asked what we thought of it; After that this was never asked again. Even when clearing the table, the coffees ordered later or the bill no longer appear. The controls were barely visible. Finally, after we had finished eating, after 30 minutes we asked if we could take some of it home. Then received three boxes to pack it yourself at the table. We looked at each other laughing; Would they come on their own to ask if we wanted anything or wanted the bill? No. So I asked for the bill myself. Brought to you by a younger lady who we had not seen before. I think they realized that we were not very satisfied. Not very fair to send someone else. That is why we indicated that we would like to see the person who previously (barely) served us. Finally tried to give feedback to the manager, but she was not open to this and became defensive. She ultimately indicated that many were new to the ministry. Nice, good starting point; this means that there is still a lot of time to learn within the Keizer. Because in summary, that is what the ministry clearly still can do. We wanted to convey that positive message to the manager, but unfortunately it didn't seem to get through. Shame!

Just dropped in to have a cappuccino. Very friendly (older lady) said it might take a little longer because there were 2 of them. The cappuccino was already on the table super quickly. Made in between. That's how I like to see catering. Compliments!

The perfect place to sit before or after a nice walk! We had a delicious lunch there! De Keizer is attractively decorated, the menu offers something for everyone & the staff is friendly. Cross the road and you are in a beautiful nature reserve for walking!

Mooi pand, gezellig aangekleed. Maar het is goed te merken dat goed personeel moeilijk te vinden is. Er waren voldoende medewerkers, maar ze zagen het werk niet echt...

Binnen bij haard of in serre met hond, of op terras. Lekkere afsluiting of begin van wandeling.

Een gezellige open ambiance. Fijne sfeer en goed verzorgt. Mooi om te zien dat jong en oud samen werkt. Compliment! Wel een verschil in beleving van bediening. De oudere dame een welgemeend welkom en aandacht, de jonge man een meer gemaakt riedeltje. Mischien daar wat aandacht aan. Komen zeker terug.

We zijn hier een avondje op het terras (overkapping met haard en dekentjes) beland en heb heerlijke biertjes gedrongen. Fijne sfeer en vriendelijke medewerkers

We visited De Keizer as we were staying on the TerSpegelt site and have to say it was really nice. A lovely, warm atmosphere with some great choices. Our 6 year old had the kids hot dog and loved it and I took the tuna sandwich which was really great, I didn't think you could make a tuna sandwich quite so special but this one genuinely was. The staff were amazing too, very accommodating as we had our 8 month old with us and had some special requirements so thumbs up and a massive thank you to them. Overall, highly recommended whether staying on the parc or in the area.

Eten was ok maar niet speciaal. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is redelijk. Verder is het wel massaal mede omdat er veel campinggasten komen omdat dit restaurant op hetzelfde terrein zit.

Wat een tegenvaller... na een hardloopwedstrijd in de prachtige omgeving bestelden we hier een portie nacho's en wat te drinken. We kregen een handje doorsnee nacho chips op een bakpapiertje, wat kaas er over en twee halve tros tomaatjes. Nou dat was het geld(11euro) helemaal niet waard. Ook dat online bestellen is een kriem iedereen klaagt er over en mn biertje kwam dan ook nog verkeerd binnen, moest weer terug.. duurde kwartier voordat juiste biertje kwam. Waren die, toch al deplorabele, nacho's al koud natuurlijk. Jammer. Zo moeilijk kan het toch niet zijn?

Sehr schön eingerichtet, das Essen war aber leider nur okay, wir hatten reserviert es war nicht voll, aber das Personal hat es nicht einmal geschafft, von sich aus an den Tisch zu kommen. Ich war enttäuscht 😞. Preise für die Leistung viel zu hoch. Schade.

Eten was heel goed, ondanks dat ik het verrassingsmenu zelf niet van de kaart gekozen zou hebben. Complimenten voor de kok. Bediening viel erg tegen. Tafel werd al afgeruimd terwijl er nog mensen aan het eten waren. Erg jammer.
