The dish we had was a bit tasteless. It was also unpleasant to see the wait staff filling containers with both hands without gloves. Not very hygienic. The door was open near the trash container, resulting in a lot of flies at this spot. We will not be using this place again.

We were a group of seven and were served quickly, even with different dishes. The welcome was very friendly. The quality of the food was incredible, especially considering the pasta was homemade. The value for money is unbeatable. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, the new owners offer no service, and the quality of the food has certainly not improved.

The food wasn't bad. But if you're with a group and the people order pizza instead of pasta, they can have to wait 10 minutes after the others' pasta has been delivered. This is really bad. And this happened at multiple tables. They need to improve on this.

Waited 55min for a pizza and lasagna. Not full of people. The lasagna didn't come from the oven, lukewarm. The flavors were ok. If we hadn't paid in advance, we would have left.

I enjoyed the spicy tomato fusilli pasta - it was flavorful and delicious. The Caesar salad wasn’t quite what I expected, but it was still tasty. The only downside was that it was really warm inside the restaurant.

The dishes are perfectly made in authentic Italian style and taste delicious. The decor and ambiance are top-notch. Definitely a must-visit!

By far one of the better places in Groningen for Italian pizza and pasta. If you happen to pass by the fish market, a short stop here is highly recommended.

Tasty pizzas, but it took a super long time before we got pizza 1/2. The other pizza arrived another 20 minutes later. The pizza itself was incredibly delicious, but this wasn't handled perfectly.

The chef's pizza was very tasty; unfortunately, I had ordered it without mushrooms, but there were plenty of them on it. The pastas lacked some flavor. We hadn't reserved and were able to sit down immediately. The wait was somewhat long, and we were given forks and spoons for only half the people, and no knives at all. For the price, it's a fine place to visit.

It was delicious. The pizza had a very thin and crispy crust, but it wasn't dry at all. The pasta was perfectly seasoned and also very tasty. We'll definitely come back.

Fair is fair. I often read what others have experienced first. But not this time.😢 Did the person making the pizza ever receive/read some kind of work instructions? Pizza base with sauce and cheese from the oven. That was okay in itself. And then the toppings on top. How is that even possible!!😬🫣🫣 So I got a pizza with raw mushrooms and onion. And cubes of boiled chicken on top. No more pasta factory for us.

I had a fish pizza with anchovies and I choked on a large piece of fishbone, which was very weird because there aren't supposed to be fishbones in anchovies.

It's a place where you can eat a filling meal for very little money! Stop! You'd be better off looking for quality elsewhere, at least regarding the pasta we ate. We haven't tried the pizzas!

Had a very unpleasant encounter here. An older staff member got visibly irritated because I used the restroom. When I left, he actually followed me outside onto the street to confront me and make a scene in public. Extremely unprofessional and dramatic behavior over something so small. I wouldn't recommend this place if this is how they treat people

I visited with my partner around 4pm on Valentine's Day Saturday, and it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. The owner was very friendly, and we ordered the carbonara and turf and surf pasta, which were both delicious. The tiramisu and limoncello mascarpone mousse for dessert were also delicious, both of which seemed to have liqueur in them. (I enjoyed them, but some people might need to avoid alcohol.) At other Italian restaurants, we've spent over 60 euros for a pasta dish that wasn't even filling, but here, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable.

Served us up a dry lasagne, clearly a day or more old, when a fresh peice was requested, they became very defensive, refused to acknowledge the feedback and instead took the food away only to return with the same peice only this time with some grated cheese on top. Clearly theres a reason why the place was empty a peak time on Saturday.

The pasta factory can't handle allergens. I ate here recently and had an allergic reaction, even though they assured me everything was perfectly fine. Then the owner came to me and told me that allergies can also be a mental issue. It's a complete opposite!

We only read the negative reviews after receiving a friendly welcome. But honestly, we didn't recognize ourselves in them. We were very early, so perhaps the service only gets worse when it's busy. I expected more from the bread with garlic butter (it looked like it came from a supermarket), but it was a huge portion! Our pizza and pasta were really cheap for the amount of food, and mine was generously topped. We asked for more cheese, and we got it.

It was super busy tonight, which of course they couldn't do much about. The hostess did try to get people to their tables quickly. My salad contained 3 ingredients without mentioning it; upon inquiry, the walnuts, carrots, and honey dressing were out of stock. Very meager in general. Arugula with some olives and a slice of goat cheese. The pizzas were also sparsely topped. The pasta for the little ones was way too spicy. The orders didn't arrive at the same time; there was a 15-minute gap, so we couldn't eat at the same time. A QR code at the table is a good idea, but only if the connection is good.

The worst restaurant I've ever visited. Terrible service. We were simply given a different pasta than what I ordered. It was just dough; the pizza was tasteless and empty inside. The pasta was full of salt. The menu said there was basil, but we just got a plain pizza. When I asked for basil, they brought me a whole plant and told me to add it myself. The lasagna was all tomato sauce and smelly beef. Everything we ordered was just sitting on the table. Never again.

Great for a quick bite. Lunch in our case. Plenty of seating! Friendly staff. They even offered a slice of pizza to try.

Cheap and good food. Clean, tidy place where you can choose your own spot to sit. You can order your food yourself via a QR code. Great menu with many different types of pasta and pizza. When ordering, you can customize the dish yourself: no cheese, extra tomato, no onion, extra zucchini. Really great. Friendly service. The music could be turned down a notch. Recommended.

Very disappointing visit. We had ordered two pastas, but received a carbonara instead of an amatriciana. Oh well, that can happen, but unfortunately, they both tasted really awful. We dreaded continuing our meal; the carbonara contained far too much cream and the bolognese tasted sour. We didn't manage to finish our food... Additionally, you have to get your own cutlery, which isn't a problem in itself, but the whole experience feels impersonal; ordering is also done via a QR code. Different music plays inside the restaurant than in the kitchen, which is quite disruptive, and a ceiling light flickers continuously. I seem to recall that it used to be much better here. In this state, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Food fine. We were a party of 4 and after an hour we received 2 pizzas, and 15 minutes later the other 2. Never again!

What happened to the Pastafabriek? Years ago, there were huge queues outside the shop. Back then, you could still pick out the fresh pasta at the counter. The atmosphere inside has changed, and the quality of the pasta has deteriorated. It used to be delicious, but now it is far too greasy and salty. A shame...

This is the worst thing anyone ever did to Italian food, literally a crime to call this pizza and lasagna (you can even see it on pictures). The food took really long time to come and was randomly coming to different people while other wait while another person eating in front of them. Lasagna took 45 min and pizza 1 hour to arrive. We were really hungry so just had lasagna first, it was burnt on top, inside there were just tomato paste, really awful taste and onions with hint of meat(even lasagna from Albert has more meat and tastes better). Pizza also was burnt, with 5 cm dried on the side without any sauce, in middle there was a hint of it. The meat was fine, they didn’t spoil at least that but that was the only edible ingredient. It was first and last time, will warn anyone i know about it. From plus points, the place is really nice and wine was tasty.

We knew the moment we walked in that this would be a different experience. Unlike most restaurants these days, where you just get thrown-together food, here the pasta and pizza are made with love. It tastes truly homemade, exactly how a pizza and a good pasta dish should taste. The prices are incredibly fair, and nothing is overpriced!

Overcooked pasta with way too much cream. One star because it is quite an achievement to ruin pasta with salmon and some tomatoes like that. A second star because our daughter's pizza was actually pretty okay. To be avoided.

The food is pretty okay. The service, however, is very substandard. There is little (read: often none) atmosphere. Upon arrival, we received a brief, monotone explanation in English about how things work there (scan the QR code at the table with your phone, then place your order and pay immediately via iDEAL). After a short wait, an employee arrives who doesn't even greet us but simply places the drinks/food on the table and walks away immediately. The food itself is pretty okay. Not amazing, but the price reflects that. We will be skipping this restaurant from now on.

The food is decent, but it takes 45 minutes to arrive. To our left sat two girls whose pizza arrived earlier and was already almost finished, and the other girl's pasta arrived 25 minutes later. Monotonous music and mediocre atmosphere. WOULDN'T EAT HERE MORE OFTEN!!

After a very pleasant stay with delicious food, I'd like to offer my recommendation. There are very few dishes that I would give a 10/10 for taste, but today's was definitely one of them. I had the vegetarian carbonara, which was very aromatic and creamy, and my partner had the chef's pizza, which was also very flavorful and tasted significantly better than a "normal" pizza. To top it all off, I tried a portion of crème brûlée. It was an explosion of flavor; the caramel was perfectly firm, and you could taste that the vanilla custard was homemade. Highly recommended.

I thought I was going out for a nice dinner… but I was given a survival experience as a gift. The lasagna was so disastrous that after 3 brave bites I decided to take it home for my boyfriend; he gave up after just one bite and seriously thought I wanted to poison him. And he normally eats anything hot. My girlfriend's pasta was also a mystery: wrong order, no taste, and zero Italian passion. It looked like someone was angry at pasta and had just thrown it in a bin. And then the climate… inside it was so stiflingly tropical that we thought there was a Turkish steam bath behind the kitchen. We ended up outside, sweating with a fork in hand, free sauna included, but no one had asked for that. Service was friendly, that’s for sure… but otherwise? One big pasta factory of disappointment.

Last night, on the recommendation of my 17-year-old daughter, I went to eat at the Pasta Factory in Groningen. Since she had eaten there before with a friend, she wanted to place the order. My son chose a pizza, my daughter a pasta without any extra additions, and I also went for a pasta, but with extra ingredients (arugula and eggplant). First of all, we were kindly welcomed by the owner and allowed to choose a spot. We chose a spot without a reservation sign, and the owner kindly asked us to choose another spot because a large group was arriving. My daughter placed the order online. First, our cutlery was brought, which was incomplete. When we asked a waitress about this, it was replenished. The drinks were delivered properly, followed by the pastas for me and my daughter. Since my son hadn't received his pizza yet, we decided to wait a bit. When I wanted to start on my pasta, I noticed that the extra vegetables had not been added. I reported this to one of the waitresses, and she fetched the owner. We received a whole lecture about my daughter's pasta (without any extra toppings), even though it was about my pasta. We were addressed in a reproachful tone by the owner. The arugula was eventually brought, but then we had to wait for the eggplant. This took so long that my pasta was already practically cold. I informed a waitress about this and told her that I wouldn't eat cold pasta and wanted my money back. Eyes were rolled, and the restaurant owner eventually brought my eggplant. Otherwise, the food was of fine quality. The customer is king is nowhere to be found here. We were ignored when leaving the establishment. Given my own background in the hospitality industry, I know that things can and should be handled differently. Hopefully, this is a learning experience for the company. I doubt I will come here again given the unfriendliness of the owner and the attitude of the staff.

I was at the pasta factory today and placed my order online. One of us had pasta, and that person had extra eggplant and basil (which they also paid for). After quite a long time, cutlery arrived (there were 3 of us), so we asked for 2 extra forks and 2 extra knives, and we received them. Then 2 dishes arrived: 2 pasta dishes, 1 with extra toppings that weren't included. After asking why these toppings were missing, we received an answer in a very rude tone. Eventually, we received a plate with basil, but we were also missing the eggplant, so we asked. The first time, they walked away angrily. The second time, we had to wait about 8 minutes, by which time the pasta was already lukewarm. The food was mediocre; the pizza margarita was quite dry.

With 2 people. Stomach ache afterwards.

The atmosphere is nice and the pasta is tasty. I find the drinks very pricey (€3.50 for a simple soft drink) and the “tiramisu” is nothing more than a glass full of whipped cream with a chocolate/coffee sauce and exactly one ladyfinger. Ordering is easy, though, via a QR code at the table.

Value for money. Don't expect particularly good pasta. The carbonara is creamy, which isn't what it should be. Affordable food and a generous portion if you're going to the pub later.

It's okay for lunch. But I don't like places where I have to order by phone. Ordering at the counter was fine. But I prefer to be served at a table.

If a restaurant has a Margherita pizza, I order it, so I speak from experience when I say that this is the best Margherita pizza I've ever had.

Worst pasta of the entire summer.

The menu looks good and there are many vegetarian options. However, the first drink we ordered took 25 minutes. The manager (?) was yelling at the staff on the work floor, and that alone is reason enough for me to never go there again because I don't want to support this. The two pasta dishes were served very quickly, and the third dish, a pizza, took 40 minutes to arrive. The tables were dirty, the spaghetti was way overcooked, and both pasta dishes made us sick. The waitresses were friendly, so it wasn't their fault.

I had a pizza pere e gorgonzola. The pizzas were very big and tasty and the interior was kinda retro/vintage.

Slecht eten. Niet duur maar zeker geen aanrader. Pasta was niet goed gekookt en miste smaak. De pizza was nauwelijks beter dan een diepvries pizza. De prijs was wel redelijk.

Zeldzaam ongeïnteresseerd personeel, vooral met zichzelf bezig. Bestelling geplaatst voor meerdere personen, komt op totaal verschillende tijden op tafel, ik had mijn eten al op, terwijl tafelgenoten nog niets geserveerd hadden gekregen. Quattro formaggi met erg weinig kaas, anderen: niet gare pasta. Niet naar toe gaan, afrader.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, prijzen zeer redelijk, grote porties. Kwaliteit van t eten is oke, niet bijzonder en niet echt Italiaans. De wijn, rose in dit geval, is bocht en met 4,50 echt te duur. Maar al met al n voldoende, mede vanwege de leuke aankleding.

Vriendelijke mensen maar de spaghetti was heel vies. Bolognese was echt geen bolognese smaakte heel zuur. Wij hadden alle drie verschillende pasta’s alle drie waren niet lekker plakkerige pasta en na de tijd last van onze maag

Creo que Gordon Ramsey me gritaría por estos platos. La Coca-Cola no tenía carbonatación. La bruschetta sabía a tierra. La carbronara era horrible y solo probaste crema. La pasta estaba demasiado cocida. En general, no vale la pena una visita

Echt heel slecht! Bestelling drankjes ging mis. Ze konden de kassa niet bedienen. Na 45 minuten kwam ik erachter dat onze bestelling niet bij de keuken terecht was gekomen. Erg vervelend met 2 kinderen. Mijn geld terug gevraagd en snel ergens anders heen gegaan. Ga hier niet heen!

No hay realmente un servicio, escaneas un código QR y ordenas/pagas en tu teléfono, lo que es eficiente. La comida llegó muy rápido, pero pedí pasta con trufa, pero la pasta estaba mal cocida. Mi amigo tenía la pasta con salmón y pudimos encontrar un poco de espina de pescado + la pasta estaba mal cocida. La pizza parece buena.

I have been meaning to go here for years, as it's always busy and it looked cool inside. We finally decided to go (partner, and 2 year old daughter). We had to wait for a table that they said would be 15 minutes but was probably 5-7. We had tried to book but you can't. I ordered vegetarian ravioli, my partner ordered ratatouille pasta, and daughter had a pizza. All were very good. Lots of flavour. You order via an app which is easy to use. The service was very good also. I wanted a dessert but was too full. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious pizza and/or pasta dishes

Always a good choice when in Groningen. Affordable and good food. It is more like a fast food type of restaurant, but italian style, and in a “skin” of a normal restaurant setting. You scan a QR code and you order and pay with your phone. They just bring you your food. They don’t distube you 1 second after you sat down asking what you want to drink. They do not come after your second bite in your food if everything is delicious and as your wish. I just love it. Just a chill and delicious place!:)

A favorite place for delicious pasta/pizza and fast service for years, but the last time last week was very disappointing. We had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for 1 pasta and 1 lasagna. The delicious smell of Italian food was repeatedly replaced by a foul smell of smoke from customers and especially the owner/manager who were smoking right in front of the entrance. We were halfway through the place and it really was like being in a smokehouse. You also create a smoke screen for anyone who wants to enter or leave, smoking is not allowed in front of the entrance. Once the food arrived it was nothing special, the ravioli was tough. Large portions and a nicely decorated place, but this experience makes it impossible to repeat.

Unfortunately, our visit did not go well. 1. Pasta was undercooked, we were already waiting for it pretty long and we asked to remake it. Second one was not much better. 2. Tiramisu we got also included a hair in the package. Waiter looked at it and was like - oh, no, it’s just something inside, not a hair and was just standing. He changed it only after my friend told that I’m not gonna eat a desert with a hair inside. Also tiramisu is extremely heavy textured, nothing in common with original recipe, but if you like heavy mascarpone - that’s perfect for you (and also if you like hair). So. Long waiting time, hair in food, undercooked dish and also we were not offered to remove it from the bill or anything what any other normal restaurant would do in such a situation.

It is not for Italians or those who know what Italian cuisine really is. Cutlery already dirty with food from others...tasteless pasta made really badly. Pizza.. recipes that Italians don't have.

While looking for an Italian restaurant in Groningen we found this lovely restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome here and were immediately asked if we had eaten here before. Since it was our first time here, everything was explained to us very well in English. You can order here normally via the staff or via an online function. We ordered a pizza and a lasagne which were very tasty and the prices for the dishes weren't too expensive. The ambience is also very worth seeing and beautifully designed as you can see in the photos. If you happen to be in the area and fancy a delicious Italian dish, you should definitely take a look.

Quality has deteriorated in recent years. There are 5 people in the kitchen, about 30 people are eating in the restaurant. Waited about an hour for 3 pasta carbonara that still hadn't been made. Asked several times how long it will take, no concrete answer. Still decided to leave. Man behind the bar was irritated and wanted to start a discussion. Said it was ready but it wasn't. I am a chef myself and could see in the kitchen that their system is not correct. She lost a lot of receipts and there was a party streamer hanging from the receipt printer inside. This was my last time coming here.

Prima prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Mijn partner en ik hadden beide een pizza Lazio, was niets mis mee. Drankjes en eten vlot op tafel. Wij waren hier voor lunch, was behoorlijk druk, dat zegt wel iets.

I used to eat here quite often and it was always great! I haven't been there for a few months now, and I took the same pasta as always to take away. And it was simply inedible! Very unfortunate, but I think something went wrong. It also took a long time. There is no taste to the pasta. And it's more cream than pasta...

Delicious pizzas for years. Until I came again today. It turns out that they now make the dough themselves instead of in a machine, as far as I'm concerned the base now tastes like a New York pizza, I hope they go back to the old pizzas...
