Very tasty pizza, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, some guests had a dog with them that smelled quite bad. Unfortunately, we were seated next to them. These guests were probably also known to them, because one of the waitresses wasn't very professional around them. Otherwise, the food was just good.

A very good Pizza and Nice Service

The pizzas are average. The dough could be better in quality. My partner and I found it rather sloppy afterward. The waitress seemed visibly stressed and repeatedly forgot small things, like bringing cutlery, or didn't quite keep up with orders. It's possible that balancing delivery orders with on-site service is a bit of a challenge.

Delicious food, top-notch pizzas at a very reasonable price! Service was very quick, efficient, and friendly. Even though the place was packed, everything went smoothly. We'll be back!!

I usually come here without a reservation, often just quickly on my own. I can almost always find a place. The pizzas are delicious, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed. In short, I love coming here.

Last Monday I went with my daughter to ring in summer. The pizza makers make the most delicious pizzas. We were in Naples in May and tried many, but we keep coming back. The base is perfect, but it's also so nice that they choose quality toppings. From fennel salami and njuda to buffalo mozzarella. It's always hard to choose 😋 And as always, we save room for panna cotta. An Italian drink to go with it, and our summer is complete ☀️

What an unexpected delight this was! We booked the combo deal with a movie at De Koepel, within walking distance. We had delicious pizza, good house wine, and very friendly service. We'll be back!

Great place, friendly and helpful staff, awesome pizzas. In summer it can be a bit warm in the back close to the kitchen with the oven. Recommend a place near the windows which can completely open or on the terrace.

In my opinion, De Pizzabakkers is the best pizzeria in Haarlem. The pizza is fresh, the base is crispy and not greasy. The drinks, such as the limoncello prosecco, are heavenly, as if you were in sunny Italy itself. The desserts are also top notch. The service is very approachable and the atmosphere is therefore great. In short, always a good location for pizza for young and old.

Update: After a disappointing order (which we left a negative review about), Margreet (see comment below) gave us two vouchers for pizzas at the restaurant. They were perfect, and the fennel salad was also delicious, just as we're used to in The Hague! We'll definitely be back.

Pick up, would take 7 minutes. After 15 minutes asked if they knew when the pizzas were ready. Turned out my pizzas were already ready and had been cooling for 8 minutes. Now eating a nice cold pizza.

Full disclosure, my one star for the food is pure speculation, as I never ate here, even though I tried my best. Stopped by this place today in person at 17:00 and made reservations for 7pm, and then went down the street for a beer. We returned to the restaurant at 7, they told us they had no reservations... I absolutely recognized the girl that took our reservations, but she just shrugged and told us she had no reservations for us. Very disappointed with this outfit, on the bright side, walked to the Grote Markt, and had a great burger at the Irish pub Tierney, go there instead. Heading back to NY on Sunday, I'll have my pizza there, better anyway.

Tasty pizza but very bad service.

1 star as zero is not an option. Waited for an hour for pizzas with 2 small kids while everyone who got there after us got served. Asked what was happening a few times, but got no answer. After giving up on waiting, instead of offering at least drinks on the house, they threatened to call the police if we didn't pay for what we never got, after admitting they never even ordered it in the kitchen. Shameful

Extremely unprofessional and slow service. We waited far too long for our order, while other guests who arrived later were served before us. The staff seemed disorganized, untrained, and showed no sense of responsibility or courtesy. Not once did we receive an apology or a clear explanation. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better restaurants where guests are treated with basic respect — this is not one of them.

Came today with family and their children, from start they told us that we have one and a half hour to finish. That suited us so we took a seat. Everything was fine up until an hour passed by and when we saw that everyone that came after us got served before us. When we asked staff what is happening and when we figure it out with chef that it was not even ordered we wanted to go and told that this was unacceptable. They wasted an hour of our time. Worst people ever. Would recommended to skip this place.

The staff seemed disinterested and disorganized. When we asked about the delay, we got evasive answers and an uninterested attitude. This kind of service is unacceptable — I will not come back here and I do not recommend it to anyone.

We came to the pizzeria and were told they had a free table for us, but that we would need to leave by 7 PM because of a reservation. That was fine with us, as we thought an hour and a half would be more than enough time to sit, rest, and have a meal. However, we ended up waiting for our food for a full hour — and it never arrived. We ended up leaving without eating, having completely wasted our time. To make matters worse, we were there with two small children. Extremely unprofessional staff and a major oversight. Very disappointing experience.

The pizza’s were delicious. The restaurant was very hot inside and unfortunately we were not able to move outside. So I, (instead of the waitress) suggested they open the windows. Luckily that was allowed and the other guests were pleased as well. When I asked about the Aperitivo deal which I had seen many many times advertised on social media, the waitress shrugged her shoulders and had no idea what it was about, also didn’t suggest finding out. So we found out ourselves and it turned out you pay an extra €4 for your Aperol Spritz and then you get some olives and bruschetta. A bit disappointing as on SM it was advertised “just like in Italy” where this is free after 1800 hrs.

Delicious pizzas and super nice, fast service

As soon as I entered the cozy pizzeria, the aroma of garlic and baked dough immediately caught my attention. The Margherita pizza had a perfectly blistered crust, balanced with tangy tomato sauce and soft mozzarella. A touch of olive oil and fresh basil made it even more delicious. The Tiramisu Mascarpone was creamy, the espresso was strong, and the sweetness was just right

Ridiculous, I order with uber eats, the problem is clearly theirs and they say they can't do anything that it's uber eats' fault. Learn to manage systems and learn. Among other things, I get the call hung up in my face by a guy who only wishes me a good evening. Poor service and communication.

Without a reservation we were able to get a table from the lovely ladies of the service. Bruschette, Pizza Tartufo (mozzarella, cooked ham, truffle cream sauce, egg and parsley) and Pizza Caprese (tomato, mozzarella, green pesto, buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil). Panna Cotta (vanilla cream pudding with red fruit sauce), a feast for the taste buds!

Pizza and beer +/- 20 euros. Pizza, like every pizzabakkers, delicious! Nothing more, nothing less, I definitely recommend it, the best pizza I've ever eaten in NL

Ordered online. 10 euro for a bell pepper side dish. Received literally 3 spoons of vegetables, mostly cheap arugula. Maybe one spoon of bell peppers in total. Incredible that they think it's worth 10 euro.

Really lovely pizzas - thin base and great choice of toppings - we finished everything. The pistachio ice cream was delicious!! Child friendly restaurant, the 'play dough' was a nice touch. Wij hadden een film en pizza deal. De deal is 9 euro per pizza, vooruitbetaald via de film kaartjes. Niks mis met de pizza, maar wel met de nota. 2 spa rood € 7,00, toeslag voor de pizza naar eigen keuze €3,50 en cappuccino €3,80 opgeteld is dit geen €24,20. Ik heb ook de bon nog. Vreemde optelsom De medewerkster probeerde er onder uit te komen door te vertellen dat er verschillende deals waren met de bioscoop, dit klopt van geen kant. Ook liep zij weg tijdens het bespreken hiervan om andere klanten te helpen en liet ons zitten. Wij komen hier niet meer terug.

Not the best staff, but good pizzas! Made a reservation at 6:00 PM, group of 6, after not being seen we asked ourselves if we could order... after half an hour... including drinks... In addition, we had been called earlier that day whether we could keep a time slot until 8:00 PM, no problem for us :) We were not asked if we wanted to taste the wine... I don't think that is very nice Then at 7:15 PM we wanted another dessert, 2x tiramisu (which is actually more cake than tiramisu, it was tasty but you have to love it), 4x scroppinos and 6x limoncellos At just before 8 o'clock... 2 tiramisus were served, nice then, we can wait for the rest, and yes we certainly did, for half an hour... why isn't everything served at the same time? Then 5 limoncellos arrived, that can happen, but is resolved later Finally, 2 scroppinos🥳 where are the other 2? No ma'am, a group of 8 just ordered for you, so? After everything was delivered, everything became warm. In addition, you sit really VERY close together, one time I leaned my head back and I was pulling hair with another woman. Too bad about the staff because the food is otherwise good :)

This used to be my favorite place for pizza in Haarlem. Now I have to find a new place. The pizza dough used to be thin and crispy. They had a guy who had worked there for 8 years and he was obviously the only one who could make really good pizza. Maybe in time the other staff will figure it out. The staff are very sweet and do their best but maybe need some help. The toppings and salads are still great.

Pizzas arrive before your drink. Nice service but have no idea how or what. The pizza makers do a good job and make delicious pizza. However, the staff does not know what they are selling and the homemade drinks (homemade ice tea) are soda stream syrup diluted with water. A very bad cut and not drinkable. Soda stream perfect for sparkling water but don't sell it as homemade ice tea. The 0.0 cocktails are also not drinkable. Ordered parmigiana melanzana first thing this evening and it was already sold out. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Everything is delicious! This time we took the pizza of the month: carnivore pizza with lots of spicy meats. As far as I'm concerned, this pizza can be permanently on the menu! As usual, we also had a scroppino and a panna cotta with caramel sauce. Always superrrrr!

We were at the restaurant at 6:00 PM. We ordered at 6:30 PM, but the food didn't arrive until 7:25 PM. We went to a play and thought we had plenty of time, but because the food took so long, we suddenly had to rush. The people around us had already finished their food when we got ours, while they came in later. Due to the crowds and chaos, our order probably fell through the cracks: it can happen. But something like “sorry” or explaining what was going on would have been nice. We only finally got a carafe of water after asking four times... In the end we were all allowed a drink on the house. Nice, but we didn't need that and especially didn't have time: we had to go to a play. Everything was charged at checkout. It would have been nice if our first drinks had been taken off the bill, but that also went wrong. I had already paid and, when I pointed it out, the young lady wanted to do something about it, but I left it at that. It was only going to lead to even more hassle and we had to run to our play. So all in all a huge disappointment and it affected our entire evening out.

De Pizzabakkers always guarantees success! But the pizza was really lukewarm in temperature. According to the waitress, this made sense because a number of ingredients were placed cold on the baked pizza. I don't think that's appropriate because the soil was also lukewarm. Still, we left a tip because it was very tasty. And the wine she had chosen for us tasted perfect.

Op deze drukke vrijdagavond met 5 vrienden een tafel gereserveerd. Het restaurant bruist en borrelt. De thuisbezorgers komen af en aan. Daar wringt het. Vanuit de kleine steenoven moeten alle pizza’s voor in en buiten het restaurant komen. Dat lukt ternauwernood. Bediening oogt vermoeid en meldt dat het erg druk is. Dus langer wachten. Pizza’s zijn okee maar missen iets extra’s in smaak.

Immediately ordered a drink after arriving and asked for a knife, because it was missing from the cutlery. When my table companion came 10 minutes later and ordered a glass of wine, it was still there before my drink and knife arrived. The pizza was fine, employees friendly. When paying, we walked ahead to the cash register because we were not seen

The margherita pizza for €11.50 looks like a children's pizza, they also have no garlic sauce, only truffle mayonnaise for €2.80, which I think is quite expensive. Anyway, I ate the pizza and I was even hungrier than I already was. So if you want to be full, I think you should order two pizzas here. And then it's quite expensive, so no more pizza bakers in Haarlem for me, unfortunately.

When we walked by, it seemed to be one of the hip places as there was one delivery service after the next picking up food. Prices were decent compared to others. Pizza combinations interesting (like fennel salami), were a little disappointed with the drinks and how very thin the pizza was, but food tasted good. One can watch how Pizza is freshly made & baked in woid oven. Team was friendly but definitely stressed.

Pizza was good and had a crispy, thin dough, but unfortunately it was a little underseasoned. The service sometimes took a little long, but was always very friendly and apologized for the longer waiting time.

As a Dutch person who lived in Bella Italia for 22 years and was born in Haarlem, I think this Pizzeria is fantastic and I feel like I am in Bella Italia. The Pizzas are so delicious and the extremely Friendly People who also come from the Beautiful Country but speak very good Dutch make it a Very Pleasant Experience. Highly recommended for both Dutch people who have been to Beautiful Italy and Italians who are here in Haarlem.

Super friendly and attentive service. I ordered a rocket salad and the pizza of the month. My husband had the Pizza da Noi. All the food and drinks we ordered were really delicious and well balanced in terms of taste. I (seasoning queen) didn't have to add seasoning at all. I would definitely recommend this pizzeria 👍🏽

All in all we had a good meal here. The service was a bit overwhelmed that evening as the restaurant was quite full. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly and the food went quite quickly despite there being a lot of guests. The pizza was absolutely fine, but certainly not one of the best pizzas we've eaten.

The tastiest pizza I have eaten in a long time. Had the salmon special. Crispy and light - makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Very warm and efficient staff. Found this pizza restaurant at the end of our trip and wish we’d found it at the start as we would have visited more than once. Homemade limoncello was superb!

Update: Neatly resolved and delicious food! Ridiculous service especially from the kitchen/cook in question. I have been ordering pizza for years (especially from pizza bakers in Amsterdam), but I have also eaten it often in Haarlem and due to allergies I do not eat tomato base, so I always ask for it without tomato sauce... always completely fine. Then they put pesto as a topping instead of tomato sauce. Now I call to order again... the girl on the phone consults and the kitchen simply refuses "it's not possible" with pesto. Okay, then ordered without tomato sauce base and nothing (I'll put pesto on top afterwards or something). I get a call back 5 minutes later, even though I was already on my way... yes, it's not possible. We only deal with tomatoes, the kitchen says, so unfortunately you can cancel your order…. I don't know what could be wrong with throwing that pizza in the oven without a tomato sauce base (even less work and they make it fresh, right?). Zero more flexibility or service or thinking along with allergies, just throwing out an entire order while we were already on our way?! I was really looking forward to it, but apparently I didn't want to make any money. Never experienced such a customer unfriendly experience! And as mentioned, I have been a weekly regular at pizza bakeries for years, normally (well, apparently you shouldn't be in Haarlem!!!) Well, that's over now (they don't offer any alternatives either, so unfortunately I can't eat there anymore since we now live in Haarlem. Very unfortunate and missed opportunity and I am still left bewildered... and returned home without food after placing a (larger) order. Ps I now just see another pizza without tomato on the website... (while I still ask if there are other options because I was already on my way and I'm hungry and they simply say no, so just cancel your order..) despite being ridiculous and inflexible and customer unfriendly, I simply think I should leave out 1 ingredient due to allergies. Small effort. Especially after the order had already been accepted and we were already on our way! Calling back completely etc took more effort but okay. Update 8/4/24: the head office/management resolved it very neatly! Very attentive. Probably the best man himself (the cook) had a bad day

Pizzerias are everywhere and in abundance. However, good pizzerias are difficult to find. If the pizzas are tasty then it is not pleasant, if it is tasty and pleasant then the restaurant is not delivered, etc. But at this pizzeria you have everything in one. And afterwards you can do something fun in the center. Or before. My favorite pizza is a salami with a scoop of burrata plus picante oil. Drink vino Rosso Primitivo. Then a delicious tiramisu. Highly recommended!

Pizzas with original surprising recipes. All pizzas were a bit blackened on the edges, so the baker should have taken them out of the oven a little earlier. What a nice idea to give children play dough and then bake it. It's just a shame that the staff didn't feel like baking the creations made by our children in the pizza oven. The children were turned away by the staff with reasons such as "no time, the oven is full, etc..." but even when the oven was completely empty, it was still too much effort for the staff to bake the play dough creations . As far as I'm concerned, play dough with a bake-off promise should therefore be removed from the menu to avoid disappointed kids and irritation.

We often go to the pizza bakers in Haarlem, and we always receive patient and friendly service. Even though we have two young children. The lady who indicated that she would (unfortunately) get another job in a week is a real hostess. I wanted to say, “let her train the other ladies/gentlemen” but they were all hospitable and friendly :) so that would be selling the others short. Also delicious food.

This review is not about an experience in the restaurant but about an order via Uber eats. I heard some pretty good stories about the Pizza Bakers so I wanted to try the pizza and ordered it via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the pizzas were really cold and soggy. I also thought it took quite a long time. We ordered quite late in the evening so I can't imagine it was too busy. Unfortunately, it did not invite you to visit the restaurant!

Good pizza, well made and plenty of interesting choices. If you have no reservation they can be painful, even if the place pretty much clears out fifteen minutes later. Service at best variable. The tables are pretty close together so some care needed. In the end the food is well done. Recommended.

Excellent restaurant! They were able to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday with no reservation. Pizza was delicious, service friendly and swift (in a good way, in no way was it rushed!). Absolutely recommend if you're after some tasty, high quality pizza at a reasonable price.
