Pizzicotto in Oude Stad

An absolute gem of a pizzeria -- fabulous Neapolitan pizza showcasing fresh ingredients and care in cooking. We had the Oregano Foccacia -- crispy but still chewy topped with the perfect blend of salty and aromatic herbs, the insalata with fresh mozzarella balls, the diavola pizza with calabrian chile, and the Faito pizza, with grilled aubergine and maybe pickled peppers, bursting with flavor. To end, we had fresh-made cannoli and creamy tiramisu, both were stunning. Easily the best cannoli we've had outside Italy. Bravissimo and grazie, tutti!

We were with a large group (17 people), but the food still arrived super fast. Really tasty pizzas and very friendly staff. Had a great evening!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was delicious, with excellent quality and generous portions. The service was outstanding, and everything was served very quickly. The pizza and lasagna were spectacular, and the desserts are homemade. The lemon tart, in particular, was amazing! Without a doubt, I'll be back and highly recommend it.

Very strange 🤔 pizzaria. At firs you would think it's cozy. But it's squeezed and crouded. We ordered wine and pizza for abt 60€, but still, they looked at us as if we were homeless and we should leave asap. We were going to order coffee and some deserts, but it was crowded with screaming children and mothes bumping their babywagen on our chair, waiters running over our heads, so we just paid and left for another more cosy coffee shop. This was our 3rd and probably the last visit. We felt sad because we loved it the first time.

Ate a delicious Buffalo pizza! 🍕 The crust was nice and crispy from the stone oven and the taste was truly Italian. Absolutely incredibly tasty! I just felt they were a bit stingy with the amount of cheese. Hopefully they will be a bit more generous with that next time, because otherwise the pizza was really top-notch! 🇮🇹👌

The food was very good. The selection, however, was quite limited. Pasta dishes weren't offered on the menu, apart from lasagna. There was a ravioli dish available as a daily special, though. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the pizza came from a stone oven. The atmosphere wasn't particularly cozy, but it was okay, although a bit cramped. I would go again.

Simply the best pizzeria of the city The italian team cooks fresh pizza in the fire oven with passion and taste, the owners work hard to give to this place an authentic flavor of italia. Tasty olive oil, imported fresh products, basilico, and daily homemade flowers bouquet on every table. I'm holding myself to don't go every week !

Best pizza I've had in Haarlem by far. The weather was great so we had the chance to eat outdoors. It's a relatively quiet street which made for a nice experience. I had the diablo [although I'm probably misspelling it]. Great pizza with these little piles of hot peppers that were so flavorful. Caution: I tend to like spicier food and this was close to my tolerance limit. Spreading the piles around the slice was helpful. Also enjoyed a fresh salad. Service was attentive and helpful.

Delicious pizza made fresh, and amazingly not very salty. It had just the right amount of everything, both pizzas were very good for a very decent price.

The menu offers all kinds of pizzas, from traditional ones to marvelous Mediterranean creations. I can't say you'd find anything better anywhere else. Without a doubt, the best restaurant I've found in the Netherlands for the past eight years! I'll definitely be back!

The pizzas were very tasty and the terrace is cozy and pleasant. The only downside is that the staff is completely inattentive. They only came by at the beginning to take an order; after that, we had to indicate it ourselves every time. Also, when clearing our empty glasses, they didn't immediately ask if we wanted anything. After clearing empty plates, they didn't ask if we wanted dessert. A bit of an indifferent attitude.

What a pleasant surprise. We ended up here on a whim. We were warmly welcomed immediately upon entering. The ladies were very friendly and the food was top-notch. My favorite was parmigiana.

What excellent pizzas these were. As far as I can judge, very authentic. Perhaps the tastiest pizza I have ever eaten. Even the dough of the Calzone pizza is tender and flavorful. And that is not even mentioning the topping. This is everything you hope for when you walk in—and even better!

The pizza was really good! The only downside was that it was a bit noisy and very busy during Saturday dinner, which affected the overall experience a bit.

Very disappointing experience after 8 years of coming to this restaurant. Had a confirmed reservation and arrived on time, but had to wait outside. Almost ten minutes past the reservation time we were still waiting. Some apologies and basic communication would have been the right thing to so. Instead there were shoulder shrugs and confused looks. We ended up phoning another restaurant and going elsewhere. Normally you would expect a reservation to mean you don't need to wait. I understand things can happen, but then the right thing to do is apologise and communicate properly.

This is our favorite place to go for a pizza in Haarlem. The staff is lovely and they recognize you if you come more often. They have their ‘spaziale’ monthly pizzas which are always good. This is just a lovely place. You should definitely go and enjoy!

I have a dinner last night. Pizza amazing. I’m Italian and I work in hospitality business for 25 years. I’m also Restaurant Manager. And I would like to say than the waitress last night was just incredible. Who I would like to have always in my team. Sorry but I don’t remember her name. She talk with me in perfect Italian but also in Spanish. You know who I talking about.

Since i moved to Haarlem in 2019, I haven't found a better pizzeria than this one in the Netherlands. I've been there several times, with friends, family, and my partner. And all of them have been a perfect and special occasion where we have been able to enjoy the great food that Pizzicoto offers, and the very welcoming atmosphere in its pizzeria

Delicious pizzas from the wood-fired oven. Small but pleasant restaurant. We didn't make a reservation, but we did think about what they had to offer. This way, we were able to find a place to sit for an hour. If you want to be sure of a spot, definitely make a reservation.

Food was great and service was really fast.

We made a reservation and received confirmation. We found ourselves in front of a closed restaurant. Then I emailed about it, and they claimed I'd been called and emailed (which wasn't the case; the confirmation was in my email, so any cancellation should have ended up there, and I wouldn't have missed a call), instead of acknowledging their mistake. It's strange that there's a tool where you can simply make a reservation, receive confirmation, and then, if they decide to close, don't receive a cancellation. This was on a Tuesday that was suddenly closed until March, but reservations were still available. Just be honest and report the mistake instead of making excuses. Very unfriendly. We ended up at the bar at Nolita's and had a delicious meal. We did eat at the bar, though, because we couldn't get a table. Addition: after a second email, an apology email arrived, that's for sure!

Ate here with a friend last week. We had a reservation. We were seated perfectly. The tables are incredibly close together. The neighbor practically sat on our table with his coat. Anyway, the pizza was really good. Suddenly, the waitress appeared next to us, some candy spilled onto the table, and we got the bill because they needed the table. Our glasses were still half full. I actually wanted to order another coffee, but we were essentially sent out of the restaurant: "We need this table at seven." We were allowed to sit for another nine minutes, but then we had to leave. I've never experienced this at a restaurant before. Very unpleasant and a very nasty aftertaste. A shame, because the food was really good, but for me, it's a one-time thing.

Definitely the best pizza I've ever had in the Netherlands. All the ingredients were excellent. I recommend it to everyone, especially Italian expats. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great. I'll definitely be back to try some of the dishes other than pizza.

When we arrived, there was practically no room. With a bit of fiddling, we managed to get a table, provided we left after an hour. We didn't mind; we just wanted a pizza and a drink. Delicious pizzas with a great wine for a reasonable price!

We came with high expectations based on the good reviews, but the food was disappointing and the service was indifferent. Only the waitress was friendly. When we left, the pizza maker snapped at a delivery driver at the door. A strange experience.

This is an authentic Italian place and you can taste it in the pizzas! Really, really delicious. Pizza Sorrento was my favorite. Tiramisu is also very good. Cozy and busy inside, reservations are recommended!

We made an online reservation, which was a good thing, because it was busy, and when we left, there were tons of people waiting! Understandable, because the pizzas were truly delicious. Our starter, the burrata, is also highly recommended.

Earlier in the evening we had eaten at De Pizzabakkers, but we still wanted a four-cheese pizza. So we looked for a pizzeria nearby and ended up here. Nice atmosphere, busy and full, but certainly cozy. The pizza crust here was crispy, as it should be. And the taste was fine, although I have had better ones in Italy itself. But definitely worth trying next time.

Used to be good, now there is zero care for quality. From the ingredients to the baking, to the slicing, to the delivery. It’s all garbage. Also the dine-in. We have tried a few times to see if the bad experience was an exception, but we have given up. It is far from what it was a few years ago. This place succumbed to the in-flow of people and has lost its touch, and are going all-in for the money.

This is a very cozy place and the pizza is incredibly delicious (especially my favorite pizza Diablo), the prices are super nice and the staff is always friendly in a family way 😍😍😍

A very pleasant and cozy place. Many of the staff speak English or Italian, of course, but that's not a barrier. We ordered a pizza and the parmigiana. They were delicious, and the portions were ample.

Amazing place. Had the best time. You can really feel when a place is family-owned and this was one of those places - you imediatly feel like a part of their family. The first thing that we noticed when we got our food was how much they love tomatoes :D but in a best way possible. The lasagna was with a lot of tomato sauce on the side, the ravioli was also an a tomato sauce and you mostly could taste the tomatoes. Pizza - authentic! So delicious we ordered one more to-go.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed after several good reviews. I ordered a tuna pizza. The tuna was very dry, with three silver onions and two pieces of grilled bell pepper (from a jar?). The staff frequently checked the wrong tables, and communication was difficult. The restaurant was overcrowded and noisy. The pizza's rim and the Italian candy with the bill were the highlights.

It was my first time enjoying a pizzeria this much! Honestly, I never thought eggplant could taste this good, but this place completely changed my mind. We ordered a pizza with zucchini, eggplant, and olives, and it was hands down the most delicious combination of the three I’ve ever had. If, like us, you’ve never tried real Italian pizza from an authentic Italian restaurant, this spot is a must. Beyond the top-quality food, what makes the experience even more special is that the restaurant is run by a warm and friendly Italian family, it feels so genuine. We stumbled across this restaurant and were very happy with our decision to sit down! They offer a wide variety of pizzas; other dishes aren't really on the menu. They did have ravioli, for example. But if you're looking for a pizza dinner, this is the restaurant for you! I haven't had such a good pizza in ages! The authentic brick oven is clearly visible from the outside. We were served drinks very quickly, and the pizzas were back on the table about 10 minutes later. This restaurant is highly recommended!

My absolute favorite pizzeria in Haarlem. The staff is basically a second family for me, the food is utterly delicious and the place itself is cozy and welcoming. I can only spend good words for this place, which I have been going to since its beginnings back in 2019. Recommended!

Went to eat here tonight, and it was amazing! Service was extremely sweet even though it was busy. I absolutely do not recommend this pizzeria. I sat down at a table outside, but although three waiters clearly saw me, no one came to me to ask if I wanted to order something - for example a pizza or a beer. I had the strong feeling that I was being ignored because of my dark skin color. That is outrageous and totally unacceptable. This is not how you treat customers. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

We went there because of the good reviews. However, we agree that we've had better pizza. The pizzas looked good, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't up to our expectations.

Worst pizza ever. No taste at all, there was no herbs, pepper, garlic or anything on it. On the pizza 4 formaggio they forgot the tomato sauce and the pizzas were not only without taste but had been in the oven for too short, so they were pale and therefore had no taste.

Food was really great. Pizzas very tasty and served quickly. Service further really substandard. They really don't pay attention to the tables and it is almost impossible to get attention from the waitress or waiter.

After a day at the beach in Bloemendaal aan Zee we wanted a nice meal, but not for €49 pp on the coast for a mini piece of meat with fries that were too hard. I found this cozy pizza restaurant with good reviews via Google Maps. Outside on the terrace but also inside it is packed; apparently they serve good food here! As soon as we entered we were kindly received and immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and authentically Italian, with pleasant music and a beautiful interior. As a starter we had a basket of freshly baked Focaccia rolls with delicious olive oil and herbs. Then a margherita pizza each. The taste of the pizzas was excellent! The base was exactly as it should be: thin, crispy and slightly charred from the wood-fired oven. Phenomenal enjoyment. Really traditional pizza taste and use of good and fresh ingredients. Complaining about prices does not apply here (in fact, I think they are very affordable). Home-made quality with decades of experience that no competition can match. Priceless actually. I also noticed the friendly but, above all, fast service. Well-attuned professionals. Finally, we ordered the homemade tiramisu and returned home happy and satisfied. We found the price-quality ratio to be excellent. We will definitely come back here more often. An absolute must for anyone who loves real Italian pizza!

Delicious 😋 We had 2 pizzas , 2 tiramisù 1 espresso, and 2 soft drinks for 57 euros. Pizza is really tasty and not heavy , fresh ingredients. I went on a Saturday night and was crowded. I advise you to book it in advance. The service was okay, especially thanks to an Argentinas waitress. I found the tiramisu a bit too much expensive (7.70 euros and portion is kind of small ) but for the rest was great !
