The best pizzaria in Maastricht. I regularly come here as the food is absolutely amazing with everything homemade to the highest italian standards. The owners are always super friendly.

Mixed experience: possibly had too high expectations. - package deal with starter, main course, and dessert is attractive. Food 3.5 stars: - starter: small board with melanzane was fine. - pizza (which is ultimately what it's all about for us) had, in our opinion, too much tomato sauce and too little mozzarella. I like a crispy crust, but this was on the edge of being too hard. The semolina (crumbly base) was tasty though. My wife had a Margarita, and normally if there are any leftovers, we take them along, but not this time... (that really says something). I read on the website how much dedication the chef has to cooking and Italian pizzas, and as an avid home pizza maker, I know how sensitive feedback can be, but I hope you can make use of this. - desserts: this was the highlight. pistachio tiramisu definitely worth trying! I loved it! Tiramisu was also tasty, but the layer of cocoa on top was really too much. On the advice of the waitstaff, we ordered the Scropino (limoncello ice cream with homemade limoncello) as dessert instead of a starter, and it was deliciously creamy! Service: 4.5 - The waitstaff were young and very friendly. They were accommodating and constantly risked their lives to serve guests by crossing the road between the restaurant and the terrace. Experience: 3 However, what made the experience less enjoyable for us and resulted in a star deduction: we reserved at 18:30, were seated at 18:15, and food didn't arrive until 19:15! It turned out the waitstaff had ticked off that we had already had our starter. And the pizzas were therefore already put in the oven when we mentioned it (because people who had arrived half an hour later had already received their starter and pizza) – that was the story. The waitstaff apologized and indicated that we would be generously compensated. However, only a glass of wine for my wife and the carafe of water were removed from the bill. I had hoped that the scropino, for example, would also be on the house, but it was disappointing. People behind us who had to wait half an hour for pizza and complained about it also got a drink on the house, so I feel they really should have done a bit more for us. I also expressed some dissatisfaction to the staff, even though I understand that mistakes can happen. An extensive and somewhat harsh review, but on the one hand it did irritate me a bit at our wedding anniversary in Maastricht, but it also led to an interesting conversation and reflection on whether you let your mood be influenced by such things and how to prevent that :) Furthermore, thanks to the team! And good luck with further improving a beautiful restaurant with a lot of potential!

I have been getting pizza from there for more than a year now and they have great pizzas and service! Lovely people, everyone is always welcome and the service is fast! I have friends visiting me and I brought them there and they loved it too! Love this place!

The pizza there is simply awful. I personally didn't like the dough at all, and the pizza was sparsely topped. I was also particularly put off by the restrooms. The smell was reminiscent of animals, which you definitely wouldn't want in a restaurant. The service, on the other hand, was absolutely top-notch!

We had a lovely dinner here last night. We dropped in spontaneously and didn't have a reservation, but there was still room for two. The pizzas were good, the pistachio ice cream tasty, and the espresso superb. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. In other words: highly recommended.

The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients. However, when settling the bill, our table was swapped with another table, causing us to pay too much. The staff noticed it immediately, though, and it was resolved quickly and correctly. Otherwise, highly recommended for eating delicious pizza!

We spontaneously decided to eat here on July 31, 2026. The young staff were very friendly. The pizza was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended, and just steps from the crowded city center.

Hi haaaaaiiii, we ate here in the run-up to the Rieu concert. We were served by a nice, sweet, friendly lady. The starter was tasty and the pizza, funghi pancetta, was good, although a bit salty. It is a nice place, a bit of a walk out of the way but worth the detour.

Amazing service! I sat outside to enjoy the atmosphere and was absolutely delighted to be surrounded by the beautiful buildings of Maastricht. Everything was delicious and service was amazing, I highly recommend!

If you really know your stuff with pizza then this is the right place for you. Nothing is spared when it comes to quality, knowledge or flavor. From dough to sauce to oven, Peter (the owner) knows exactly where his tomato’s are from and which ones is best in any combination. We did a team workshop here to learn about making a pizza from scratch and every single one of us was blown away by the detail that is put into the pizza here. And if you need GLUTEN-free dough, they know their stuff with this as well!!! Every single one of us (very different ages, ethnicities, preferences) will be back!

The worst pizza place I have ever eaten at; the iced tea tasted like honey, the pizzas feel and taste like cardboard with a very thin crust, the tomato sauce was like tomato soup, and all the edges were burnt. In short: don't waste your money here.

Excellent service that caters to individual requests. The shop looks somewhat unassuming from the outside, but the pizza, the taste, and the service are outstanding on all levels. Moreover, they offer not only the classic pizza toppings but also a wide variety of more unusual options.

A delightful Italian surprise on a charming little square where you feel like you're abroad. Friendly service, delicious pizzas, an atmospheric terrace, and a cozy interior in the restaurant. In the open kitchen, you can watch the chefs prepare all those tasty dishes. And oh yes, don't forget the tiramisu for dessert, Yum!

Truly one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. The taste experience was truly unprecedented. From the starters to the desserts, everything was 10/10. Tip: definitely try the homemade limoncello. This is going to be a regular spot for us.

The service was absolutely terrible making us wait very long. Even though we asked on the phone whether the food was gluten free, it turns out they don’t use extra utensils to prepare the pizza which makes it not celiac friendly. Can’t recommend this place!

A great place! We were a group of 5 and on a busy night the staff did their best to accommodate us as a walk in. The pizza and salads were delicious. Wine and beer were great too. We highly recommend the pistachio tiramisu. The waitstaff were busy but were friendly and provided excellent service. If we lived here we would definitely come back again!

Found this place on my second night in Maastricht. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. The prosciutto pizza with truffle cream and the pistachio tiramisu were exceptional.

The location of the restaurant is very close to the center, the service and atmosphere are great, the Pizza tastes amazing. Our favorite one was „Funghi & Pancetta“ - so yummy! It is very kids friendly, they gave our kids some pizza bread for self-making. Also great price-value. We will definitely come back!

Quattro formaggio and margharita was very good. Not sure about the napoletana speciala. Actually dough was very good. They made calzone chocolate out of that same dough and it was delicious also. We really enjoyed it. They do have molecola instead of cocacola and it was surprisingly good. Definitely encourage you to try that. Lastly, limoncello spritz was perfect, they said that they made the lemon base in house.

Everything was excellent. The antipasto, the caprese pizza, the desserts (affogato and mousse): well-prepared and delicious. The service: quick and efficient. A great pizzeria!

Besides the excellent service, hospitality, and delicious food, we thought the idea of ​​the kneadable pizza dough ball was brilliant. With my family, we decided to treat ourselves for Valentine's day, so we made an online reservation for De Pizzabakkers. When we arrived there, our table was waiting for us. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, cosy and warm. We had almost immediately someone with us. Tatiana explained everything and helped us to decide our order. The pizzas arrived in a jiffy and they were exceptionally delicious. Three different pizzas, three distinctive flavours. We shared them with each other and enjoyed very much. Afterwards we ordered three different deserts as we simply wanted to try as many flavours as we could. The deserts were the perfect ending of our special night. We are very happy and grateful for this enjoyable experience. Thank you Tatiana and Peter. For a moment we thought we were back in Italy. We will come back again.
