Delicious pizzas, but the area right by the kitchen was cold and drafty. The rest of the restaurant wasn't pleasant either. So we quickly ate our pizza, but didn't have dessert, and quickly headed home with cold hands and feet. Eating pizza in the winter... maybe not at Pizzabakkers anymore.

And the piña was delicious, the drinks were delicious, and my friends and I were very happy! Two Arturs, two Alexanders. We had a great time!

I really like this chain. The pizzas were delicious as always, the crust was crispy but not dry. Especially the funghi-pancetta, it was really well done!

I have been frequenting depizzabakkers for the last three years throughout my time at university and what stands out to me the most from the establishment is the continuous display of dedication and care. This specific location opened within my first year and I have had the pleasure of watching the restaurant grow along with me. I loved being able to have the option of a new pizza every month and having the flexibility of alternatives for both gluten free eaters as well as a plethora of vegetarian and even vegan options. The kitchen team has always been very attentive to whatever wishes came their way and their passion was always been well reflected into the food. While the pizza and dessert is delicious on its own, depizzabakkers truly sets itself apart through its exceptional service and its attention to detail. One is always greeted with a smile and the service team (even when it’s quite busy) always seems to plan in time to banter with guests and make sure everyone’s evening is special. I will truly miss this establishment when moving away, and urge others to visit while they are still in the city or if they are popping in for a visit. On a touristic note, I’m pretty sure the staff is well versed in many languages ( I for one had services in English, German, and Spanish during friends and family visits ) and this is definitely a highlight for those who may not feel super comfortable in Dutch. Definitely a place to check out!

We were in Maastricht with three friends and ate here twice that weekend. The pizzas were absolutely delicious – a lovely thin crust and incredibly flavorful. The service was even better: so friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

I’d had this spot on my list for a while and finally tried it for delivery. To give credit where it’s due, the ingredients and the actual preparation seemed solid, and the courier was quick: the order showed up in about 10–15 minutes. That said, the pizza arrived more lukewarm than hot. But the real surprise was the size. I paid just under €18 for the margherita with a couple of extra toppings (around €22 with delivery), and it looked kid-sized (small, or small-medium). Definitely not what I’d call a medium myself. Maybe that’s how they portion things here, but for that price it felt underwhelming (I’m not a big nor tall guy, so it’s not that the pizza looked small next to me, I really think it was just tiny. Kind of disappointing if this is the only available size). Also, while I understand burrata can be quite "liquid-y", packing it separately didn’t make much sense to me. 3€ for half a burrata and 2€ for a few small olives feels overpriced; I wouldn’t recommend adding extras. I'm not from the Netherlands, but I’m used to slightly higher prices here, but even with that in mind the value here just isn’t there. The quality itself isn’t bad as I said, it’s just hard to get past the portion-to-price ratio. Bottom line: decent flavors and quick delivery, but "kinda warm" on arrival and surprisingly small size for the price. Unfortunately, I'm definitely not going to be coming back, but that is just my experience and impression, seems like quite a loved spot around here.

So I've been to Rome and Napoli and the pizza here resembles Roman pizza more and is absolutely delicious. It's the closest you can get to the roman experience. Crunchy and flavourful. They also have Salami Picante which is a great experience. 🍕 staff is friendly and great atmosphere.

Pizza in Maastricht? Yes, why not? Really good (certainly not with the Neapolitan crust), but its crispiness is truly delightful. The appetizers were also good (the pesto was spectacular; I think there are some genuine Italian restaurateurs in the kitchen).

Nowhere else in the Netherlands is there such a great place to eat Italian pizza. The food is amazing, they're dog-friendly, and the service is top-notch. You can even grab some games to play while you wait (although that's not long 😉).

A truly fantastic place! You'll find authentic Italian pizzas for this price almost nowhere else in the Netherlands. When I see the kind of awful pizza you sometimes get for the same price, this was truly bizarre! Service was also incredibly fast. Delicious pizzas were served quickly after ordering, but unfortunately, the coffee took a bit longer, and it got a bit chilly sitting outside... it also got busier, so it was somewhat understandable that it took longer.

A no-nonsense pizza, in a nice location, and with friendly, if inexperienced, service. It was our first experience with the pizza makers, and I think it'll stay that way.

The service was good, but we sometimes had to wait a bit longer. The pizza was deliciously fresh and the cheese was melted well. It was quite salty, though. And I do like salty food.

We wanted to eat before the concert. Very friendly welcome, got a seat straight away. Our son was given a ball of dough to shape into something. It was then baked. Brilliant idea. The food was fantastic. But: we had a small starter and then the pizzas didn't arrive. Everyone around us, some of whom arrived much later than us, had already eaten. We asked twice. The service seemed a little overwhelmed and didn't communicate what had happened. We arrived at 6:20 p.m., and after complaining, the pizza finally arrived at 7:40 p.m. And that was a shame because we then had to rush around a bit to get to the concert on time. But the food is highly recommended.

I’ve been going here for a while and none of them I left disappointed. I keep coming back for tiramisu, pizza, and focaccia. Recently tried Marinara pizza for the first time, it was great no-cheese option. Personnel is always kind in a sincere way. Once I ordered a coffee, hesitating before since they had a new brand. I didn’t like it at all, and it was kindly taken off the bill. There is an option to sit outside also. Inside it’s quiet, dim lighting. wrote this while sitting there on Monday evening✨

Wir haben einen schönen Abend im Außenbereich des Restaurants verbracht! Der erste Eindruck - direkt an einer Strasse und ziemlich laut, wahr ehrlich gesagt nicht so gut. Aber der Service war herzlich, aufmerksam und gut gelaunt und das Essen war großartig. Zur Vorspeise gab es eine Frocciata mit verschiedenen Dips – frisch gebacken, gut gewürzt und richtig lecker. Die Pizza war ein echtes Highlight. Als Dessert haben wir die Lemmon Tarte probiert – eine frische, zitronige Köstlichkeit, die das Essen wunderbar abgerundet hat - stand nicht auf der Karte und war eine Empfehlung 😄 des Hauses. Dazu tranken wir einen herrlich frischen Pinot Grigio und zum Schluss einen Cappuccino, der das italienische Lebensgefühl noch einmal perfekt eingefangen hat. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen – tolles Essen und echtes Dolce Vita mitten in der Stadt! 🇮🇹🍷🍕🍋☀️

The best pizza base in Maastricht and delicious flavors. I wasn't quite as impressed with the tartufo pizza; it had a kind of truffle mayonnaise on it, which I wasn't expecting, but the taste was excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the interior is cozy, and the outdoor terrace is also lovely. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Ein besonderes Highlight: Die Kinder bekommen einen kleinen Pizzateig, den sie selbst kneten und formen dürfen. Der wird anschließend gebacken – eine tolle Idee und richtig schön umgesetzt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

My favorite pizza place in Maastricht! Their Roma style pizza dough it’s always so good, thin and crunchy, love it! All the ingredients are super fresh and tasty. They also have seasonal pizzas so even if you visit this place often, like we do, you can always try something new. Deserts are also delicious! The restaurant is very spacious with a cosy vibe, also their terrace is pretty nice to enjoy in the summertime. I can’t forget to mention the staff team, they are all always very friendly.

We were there with a group of 40+ people, and therefore they reserved the whole of the restaurant for us, which was super nice in terms of atmosphere. The service was impeccable: super friendly waiters giving good and useful suggestions! The food was great, too, as it was varied (they served about 10 different kinds of pizzas, and asked for AND catered to any specific wish you can think of!) and tasty (46 pizzas were devoured during our stay...). Thank you for this nice experience!

This is without a doubt the best pizza in Maastricht. Maybe even in all of the Netherlands. My personal favorite so far is the Da Noi, which tastes like home, if home could have a taste. Don’t skip over the Burrata al Tartufo either. Or the homemade limoncello. Or the tiramisu. You won’t regret it. Tell them I sent you.

We booked a pizza workshop with Peter, and what can I say: everything went perfectly and we had a blast! From the first contact to the workshop itself, everything was super uncomplicated and well-organized. You can really tell that Peter cares about the restaurant and baking authentic pizza. We were able to try everything out ourselves and help shape it – Peter was always very patient and accommodating. I would come back anytime and can only recommend everyone to take a pizza workshop or at least eat a pizza here ☺️. You can be sure that it was prepared with a lot of love!

I visited Maastricht with my 9 year old son for a few days and we ended up eating @ Pizzabakkers twice. Our experience was great, we had great food, great service and my son was allowed to bake his own pizza and he enjoyed this experience very much. Nice atmospheric restaurant with slightly different dishes than the usual pizza restaurant. The Special with asparagus was surprisingly tasty. Friendly staff, delicious desserts, and easy to reserve a spot via the website so you are sure of a table.

The first time I came here I ordered a marghertia pizza and it was amazing, the tomato sauce was flavourful, the dough was tasty and it was cooked very well. I came here again and ordered the caprese pizza, also a good choice, the flavours were consistent with the last time I went but they could have done with more seasoning. Overall a very decent place to eat good pizza.

The store generally looks very friendly and inviting. We ordered three pizzas. Technically speaking, the pizzas were okay, but there was a little too much tomato sauce for my taste, which dominated the entire taste. In my opinion the pizzas were too crispy. It would help here to leave the edge of the pizza a little thicker instead of rolling it out completely. We waited an hour for our pizzas, but I think it was an exception. Because we waited so long, we were able to choose a drink or dessert. The staff was very friendly.

There is a little spring in my step whenever I enter Pizzabakkers. I've been there so many times, have ordered almost everything on the menu (I'm working on it!), and it's one of those restaurants it feels good to be regular. It's in the details, the new pizzas of the month being recommended and you can tell the team has really made an effort, the little shot of limoncello at the end of the meal, the pizza dough given to entertain the kids, the mysterious staircase winding down into the cellar, the posters advertising quizzes and comedy nights. It all combines to make you feel truly at home.

I love this place!!!! We loved the pizzas, one was the Amatricciana (of the month - I recommend you try it) and another was the Nduja and Gorgonzola, delicious too. The tiramisu, especially YUMMY!!! We had 2 beers, also another dessert and 2 espressos. The bill was €62 - great value for money and service. We were attended to by Leticia, how charming!!! I wish all the people who worked in the sector had your attitude, friendliness and kindness. Thanks <3

We were +-50 people The group package had very tasty pizzas, and more than enough for everyone.

We were with 47 musicians (Tuna Femenina de Maastricht) but for Pizzabakkers, this way no problem at all. We could use the upstairs room so we didn't bother the other guests too much with our music and joy. Pizzabakkers organised the dinner perfectly: all was ready for us when we came in, and the pizza's kept coming. We also had a drinks buffet so we didn't have to keep asking personel to hand us drinks. Again a wonderful experience (to be repeated in the future!) and a pleasure to do business with Pizzabakkers Maastricht.
