De Postkamer in Nijkerk-stad

Afgwellopen Monday we participated in eating lunch together, This time with a main dish and dessert. Main was stir-fried vegetables with potatoes and slices of meat. Dessert yogurt with strawberries. It was delicious and well prepared to taste.

Delicious fresh pastries and good coffee. Friendly staff and lots of nice handmade products in the shop.

We had the children's high tea today. It was lavish and delicious, with products that I believe are all made there. The only downside was that we started with a sweet treat and then were served savory. But that didn't spoil the fun. It was nice to be in this restaurant setting, in the old post office. They created a lovely atmosphere, so we felt comfortable.

Had a nice lunch with four of us. Took 12 hours. Was perfect.

Voor een lunch hebben we genoten van de heerlijke cappuccino gevolgd door een triangel met Indische kip. En sandwich gerookte kip. Beiden verrukkelijk bereid. Het was weer een gezellige lunch, en we gingen na nog zo'n heerlijke cappuccino tevreden naar huis.

The high tea is highly recommended! Everything is made in-house, according to our own recipes. And you can taste it! This is why you must reserve the high tea at least 1 day in advance. Then they have time to make all those tasty treats. It was so much that we couldn't handle it with 3 people. Luckily we got the leftover goodies to take home. Nice location, friendly service, but above all: a delicious and unique high tea.

Vanwege eerdere positieve ervaring hier nog een keer naar toe, omdat we zin hadden in een twaalfuurtje. Die is hier erg lekker en de koffie is er top, de koekjes en gebak zelf bereid. Wat wil je nog meer. En het is een echt gezellige locatie met geluiddempend plafond, mooi en ruim ingericht. Wel tijdig reserveren want het is een gewilde locatie.

We stopped here because of the great reviews on Google. The atmosphere is great and very cozy, the service staff is young and nice. Unfortunately, we could hardly communicate because no German or English was spoken on site. No matter, just mentioned that in passing. The cake was very tasty, as was the coffee. I can definitely recommend the cafe. We didn't eat anything, but what was served at the table next door also looked delicious. The prices are absolutely fair.

De Postkamer , Gezellig voormalig postkantoor. Eerst op woensdag lunch: Na een cappuccino, de weeksoep – goulash soep – jammer genoeg bleek die een beetje waterig te zijn. Jammer want de smaak is goed, maar in goulash soep hoort veel stoofvlees, aardappelen, paprika (Hongaarse) tomaat en ui. Dit recept behoeft verbetering. De envelop die mijn vrouw bestelde zag er beter uit – triangel met heerlijk gemarineerde kip en salade – heerlijk op smaak gebracht en goed bereid. Nog een lekkere cappuccino na en dat alles voor minder dan € 30,-- Vrijdagavond genoten we van het weekgerecht à € 15 : runderstoofvlees met pastinaak, krokante bacon en puree, heerlijk en goed bereide portie. Lekker glas Chardonnay erbij en erna appelgebak verrukkelijk. En de avond was nog lang in Nijkerk. Wij komen graag nog eens op een vrijdagavond of gewoon door de week overdag terug.

It's great that people with disabilities get the opportunity to work in the catering industry. We were treated very politely. It is a pity that the guidance is little visible and did not come to the table to check whether everything was as desired. They do need a little guidance. I also thought it was more of a workplace/studio than a grand café. Found it cold there. Nice to have seen once, but not worth repeating for me.

Op een prima plek in Nijkerk, vindt je hier de Postkamer. Hier werken o.a. mensen met een beperking maar met een goede en duidelijke klantvriendelijke instructie. Daarom voel je je hier altijd welkom en dan profiteer je van het heerlijke eten of zelfgemaakte gebak. In ons geval een twaalf uurtje met brood m kroket en uitsmijter, salade en lekkere tomatensoep. Mijn vrouw had een triangel broodje met kip en salade Ook heerlijk. Thee en een heerlijke cappuccino, was niet te druk. Maar het is een prachtig goed geoutilleerd en gemeubileerd pand, waar gezelligheid groot geschreven wordt.

Nice location with parking. Nice atmosphere, pleasant space and super friendly staff. I have to eat gluten-free and this is possible at the Mailroom! Unfortunately no soup, but there are sandwiches. They know well what someone on a gluten-free diet cannot eat. Top! And the food was delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Als kind stond je er in de rij voor postzegels en nu zit je in hetzelfde mooie pand heerlijk te eten en drinken. Bediening is heel vriendelijk, het eten lekker en verzorgd en er hangt een fijne sfeer.

Made a reservation on the way to a weekend away. We came in pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful location in which the old destination is very subtly incorporated. The menu, the envelopes with tea. Delicious lunch. The service is super happy and enthusiastic. It's so wonderful that these people with disabilities are completely in their element here. There is also an outdoor terrace. Parking is available next to their building. Afterwards you will receive a coin to ride out for free.

Very cozy location, with a nice (small) sales area. We had to wait a little longer, taking the order could be faster/more efficient. But it's worth it. Gifted people shine here because they are in the right place! The food is very tasty and their cake is baked in-house and definitely recommended. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come back.

We got married last September and the Mailroom provided a delicious wedding cake table. They really listen to your wishes and the cakes (5 pieces) tasted great... not unimportant; it looked fantastic too!!!

Het was hier op vrijdag behoorlijk rustig, maar met een modern geluiddempend plafond scheelt dat heel veel lawaai. Maar ze kunnen prima nog wat meer bezoekers gebruiken want ze zitten duidelijk niet in de looproute van het centrum. Ze doen hun best, hebben heerlijke koffie en zelfgemaakt gebak van topkwaliteit, dus die high tea met lekker gebak en hartigheid hebben zij ook. Wij hielden het bij courgette en tomatensoep - zoo lekker! Gevolgd door een heerlijk broodje warme kipdijen v € 9,- dat is aan de prijs! Maar ook heel lekker en ja als er minder mensen komen en de kok is er niet , dan ook geen vrijdag avond diner! Jammer want dat geld mis je dan ook!

Beautiful building, serviced by people at a distance from the labor market. And this in a village where the existing catering industry is depressingly monotonous, where lost men waste their time with stale beer and antisocial chat in dark rooms, served by indifferent staff. The Mailroom is doing even worse in this sad environment: the place is hardly filled with guests, the tables are always reserved. Supply is not based on demand. Worse still, the supernumerary management has no understanding of the catering industry and is not interested in it. They are paid from the well-filled pot of care for the mentally ill and do not have to worry about competition. In fact, customer-oriented work is a taboo subject. And so Nijkerk has a catering company that is disconnected from reality, financed by healthcare.
