Beautiful location It took a very long time for the food to be brought. Went to inquire myself. Received an apology. Tasted good, but the food got cold quickly. Malfunction at the payment terminal, eventually worked.

Had a lovely dinner with two friends, sharing lots of tasty dishes. The service was amazing and attentive. The only downside was that I kept looking at myself the whole time because there was a mirrored wall behind my friends.

The kitchen surprised us with a delicious high tea.

Cozy restaurant with a good menu, friendly staff, and a beautiful terrace. We had drinks outside and ate inside. An ideal combination! Both tables were reserved for us.

The food was a bit disappointing… sticky cauliflower that was anything but sticky, but just dry-fried and therefore not tasty! When we pointed this out, the waitress did absolutely nothing about it, even though she herself asked if everything was to our liking… A letdown! She did come by regularly to ask if we wanted drinks, hence the four stars for the service. The baked camembert was quite tasteless. The rest of the dishes, however, were tasty!

We ended up in this cafe thanks to a new acquaintance with a person who sincerely advised us to visit this place. It was very pleasant and unexpected. We took advantage of this recommendation and did not regret it for a minute! The cafe has an extremely warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere. We had a great time over a cup of delicious coffee, enjoyed the hospitality and even met wonderful Dutch people. It is such places that leave the warmest memories and give the feeling that you are a welcome guest. Thank you very much for the warm welcome! We will definitely come back here more than once and will be happy to recommend this cafe to our friends.

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace together; both the steak and the schnitzel tasted delicious. We also had a delicious starter and dessert, and were served quickly by a very friendly young lady. We used to come here for ice cream, but this time for dinner, and we enjoyed it very much; definitely worth repeating.

Neat restaurant. Good food and drinks. Friendly staff. It's a shame the fries are soggy and things are sometimes forgotten. One person gets schnitzel with lemon, the other without. Coffee with a small glass of whipped cream, or without if it suits them.

The food was good, but there was a lot of smoking on the outdoor terrace.

What a lovely place. Really good food. Schnitzel one of the best I have ever eaten. Tender and the texture of the crust was perfect. Sole fillets also very good. Service was top-notch. Young people, but they know how it's done. Attentive and make you feel welcome. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

We had a particularly delicious meal. The starters, carpaccio, and mushroom soup were very tasty. For the main course, schnitzel, and for the other main course, sole. Both served with excellent fries and a tasty salad. The closing was truly excellent. I had been here during the day before as well and had a fruit ice cream sundae. This place has delicious ice cream. (Apparently, more people have discovered this, as it was bustling with customers coming in for ice cream.) The service was friendly and the staff really tried their best. In short, more than satisfied with this restaurant.

We had a delicious meal. Some had a shared dinner, others a starter and main course. The timing of what came when could have been coordinated a bit better, but perhaps we should have thought of that ourselves. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. Excellent!

In one word: a top-notch place to go. We sometimes stay at a hotel nearby for work, and this is our go-to spot! Excellent service, an extensive menu, and after dinner you can also grab a delicious scoop of ice cream to finish things off. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

I had lunch here with my parents and oldest brother. The lunch special is very tasty and yet just a little different from most lunches thanks to the chicken and cheese quesadilla. I recommend Coava if you are in Nijkerk.

We ended up here today, on Saturday afternoon, with a group of 11 thanks to a tip we had received; it was supposed to be a good place for lunch. Nothing was overstated! We had a delicious meal in this atmospheric establishment; the service was very prompt and friendly. Everything ran smoothly; simply highly recommended.

Amazing lunch spot. The menu has so many delicious items that I found it very hard to actually choose what I wanted. Portions are also quite big so thats a plus! The only thing that we noticed is that the light seems to dim and brighten every so often so made it difficult to ready the menu at times. Don't know if this is a feature or the light just happend to be broken :)

On this first day of spring in February 2026, I enjoyed a cappuccino and some hazelnut ice cream from Piedmont and strawberry ice cream. There's only one such delicious treat in the Netherlands!

Dinner after a long day of meetings with colleagues. It's a fine restaurant, but as you can see from my ratings, not exactly top-notch. Everything is okay, but not quite to the point of making you think, "Oh, that's delicious." The only notable thing is that the prices are quite reasonable; they're not expensive.

We enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner tonight. The chefs had specially prepared it for us. The menu was delicious, varied, and above all, surprising. The service was excellent.

I don't understand what's so appealing about this. We waited 20 minutes, only to have our order taken and never arrived. We finally left after 40 (!) minutes. Extremely poor service.

I had coffee and cheesecake while waiting for my phone to be repaired. Very friendly service, great coffee, and the cheesecake was good, though surprisingly different from the Polish version. I recommend it :)

Four of us arrived without a reservation and were assigned a table after a short wait. The staff was very nice, prompt, and friendly. You can also order in English. We had two schnitzels, which were huge, and two Wagyu burgers, which were also very large and delicious. Personally, I didn't think the cheese on either patty had any place, but hey, you could have read the menu. A successful evening with excellent food. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal tonight. A lovely menu with shared dining dishes, not the usual boring dishes you'll find everywhere. The service was very attentive, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. A quick tip: don't order too much per round; small dishes aren't so small :))

Good restaurant where you can eat deliciously. Until recently only enjoyed the delicious ice cream of Coava. But since this week also the food. Delicious dishes, friendly staff and plenty of seating both inside and on the terrace in the evening sun outside.

Very tasty and friendly staff! Just average priced. We were with a large group and it was a warm Saturday night. So the staff was busy with it and came an hour after ordering with the starter. Luckily it was cozy and we didn't notice, but we were offered a free ice cream from the ice cream parlor in advance. That's service!

Nice atmosphere, nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the service took a very long time to order. Unfortunately the food was not as expected, but certainly sufficient. Too bad that part of the menu + desert menu was not available. There were virtually no options left for desert, and getting an ice cream from the affiliated ice cream parlor was not possible. To do this, we had to join the queue that stretched outside the ice cream parlour. This is a shame if you are dining in the restaurant.

We already knew that the lunch is good and the shared dining planks are delicious. But we have now also enjoyed a great Christmas dinner with family. Delicious dishes, good wines and hospitality at its best.

Had some trouble finding it, I thought it sounded strangely familiar, they called it something slightly different.

What a wonderful evening! Thank you for the friendly welcome, fantastic food and something for every taste, the dishes look beautiful and are prepared in an open kitchen that looks clean and professional. The cocktails and sangria were also very popular, but the fresh meat and delicious fish and vegetables were especially great. We will definitely come back again. On a late Wednesday afternoon we went to Nijkerk for lunch. Coava has good reviews and we went to try it. The food is delicious and the service is very attentive. The ice creams that you can get were also particularly tasty, according to the wife and child. There is also a play area inside which we only discovered after we wanted to leave, although many of the toys are for younger children.

Had lunch at Coava yesterday and although I never leave reviews, I'm happy to make an exception now. Because I had a wonderful lunch here. Brown carpaccio sandwich, really tasty! Compliments, it's been a long time since I ate such a delicious sandwich. And then a delicious ice cream... Highly recommended!!

Everyone didn't think the food was that great. Also don't recommend the schnitzel. Bland taste and not crispy, the spareribs also had a lot of strings in them

What a delicious meal we had here. We had the shared dining, and it was really tasty. Pre-made plank, varied and generous portions. The main course again 4x delicious dishes. Afterwards the dessert board with delicious coffee, guys, what a party. We roll out, delicious, sufficient, nice staff, fast service and serving in consultation. We enjoyed.

Recently had dinner here with colleagues. First we got someone else's order in front of us. In retrospect, we should have kept it, because there was something wrong with our own order. Four of us ordered the steak, varying between rare or medium. However, all 4 of us received an overcooked, tough, dry piece of meat on our plates; which was also impossible to get through with the 'normal', more than blunt knives (not even a steak knife, not even when we asked for one...?). Also, 2 of us had part of the meal missing from our plates (the potato pie). All in all, not a success and not recommended.

Starter was fine. However, after the starter we had to wait almost an hour for our main course. Glasses were constantly empty and we had to raise our hands every time to get attention from staff. When someone finally came to the table, they were not politely asked what they could do. He came to the table and said: yes? When we finally received our main course, we were anything but satisfied. The spareribs were really not good. The thick membrane was still there and the meat could not be removed from the bone. I couldn't even get through it with my knife. And you pay €32.50 for this! Reported this to the staff. As a 'solution' they removed two soft drinks and a specialty coffee from the bill. We will never go here for dinner again.

Top restaurant. Burgers very tasty. So is the dessert. The family enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Longest for coffee and apple pie. Coffee was good but very expensive. Apple pie was made of oats with a few apple strings on top. Reported that it was not tasty but the staff did not respond! Too bad, I left everything but paid for it!

Coava is my favorite place in Nijkerk. Always the tastiest coffee, carefully selected and roasted, always a wide choice of alternative milks. Food is also tasty. They make their own ice cream and it can be proven. 👌

Restaurant Coava Nijkerk is a restaurant in the center of Nijkerk. It is a mid-range restaurant. When you make a reservation, there will be a nice card with your name on the table. The restaurant is nicely decorated and on the back wall there is a dark mirror through which the person who normally looks at the wall can now look into the restaurant. The restaurant has a children's play area that can be very busy. If you don't have children with you, I wouldn't want a table near the children's play corner. The restaurant has an open kitchen. The menu is quite extensive. Unfortunately, the menu does not match the menu on the website. Inquiries show that the website contains a menu from 2023. I find this somewhat misleading because prices have risen. It can save €3.00 on a main course. The toilet room was not clean. The floor was quite sticky. Inquiries reveal that the night before there was a big party in a room at the back of the restaurant. The dishes are large and good. The staff are helpful and friendly.

This review is for the ice cream part. It always takes so long here. That could be a little faster per customer. The ice cream is quite okay

Very nice and cozy restaurant. Plenty of seating, but still spacious enough for 4 to eat quietly. The children were also satisfied. Food was very successful. The open kitchen is great. Also very friendly and smooth service! If we are in the area we will definitely return. Greetings from Belgium.

A first introduction to Coava was a pleasant one. Although the restaurant was not particularly full, there was a large group at the back that we didn't notice until they left the restaurant one after the other. Nice staff, delicious food. If I'm ever in the area again, Coava will be on the list for dinner.

It is a nice place, plenty of choice in terms of food and drinks, but the service of the staff really determines the atmosphere. I've been there a few times now but it's certainly not a favorite to go back to. This is the only "child-friendly place" in Nijkerk where there is a play corner, unfortunately this could not be used recently because it was used as storage.

Truly the best ice cream in the area! Also delicious coffee and lunches!
