What a lovely spot right by the lock! We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. And the food was surprisingly tasty. I had red snapper with cockles and black risotto, my boyfriend had sirloin steak. The cheesecake is also highly recommended! Friendly service. Chocolates with coffee made the experience complete.

Enjoyed a delicious beer and snacks on the beach chairs by the lock. Nice service.

Welcoming. Beautiful, surprising wines. Not too extensive a menu, not too large portions. Just something a little different on the menu. And a lot of attention for the guest, very nice.

Very friendly service and a lovely spot on the terrace. Nice menu. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing, probably due to the crowds. The cod was delicious, but the pasta was unfortunately tasteless with very little of the promised eggplant and zucchini.

It's a bit of a shame when you spend €100 on a meal, leave a generous tip, and ask for another cookie because it was so delicious, and you are told (kitchen almost closed): "No, sorry, otherwise the other guests after you won't have any cookies!" That doesn't sound very hospitable. And unbelievable.

I had dinner with the family recently and it was fantastic. We really enjoyed the food and the service was good.

We had a delicious lunch: bread with croquettes and a homemade meatball with bread. The meatball was nicely seasoned. The owner was serving. She was very friendly and shared lots of historical facts about the building. In short, a great lunch.

We love coming here in the summer because it has the nicest terrace in the Netherlands (perfect for watching boats at the lock). But it's also a wonderful place in the fall and winter. The food is top-notch! Very fresh and flavorful. Not just standard dishes, but also other delicious options. The service is excellent and very friendly, and the atmosphere is authentic and pure. This place is a gem!

Helaas viel het eten tegen. Kwalitatief slecht ! De bediening was goed maar liet ook steken vallen waardoor we een uur moesten wachten op het eten. Komen hier niet weer.

We hebben met ons gezin afgelopen Donderdag heerlijk gegeten en een fantastische ervaring gehad bij Restaurant de Prins in Makkum! Na een regenachtige zeildag was er gelukkig nog een tafel beschikbaar en daar waren we echt aan toe. We zijn heel gastvrij en persoonlijk ontvangen! Het eten was super met een heerlijke aspergesoep, en een kok die écht weet hoe hij met vis moet omgaan! Hoogstaand!!! Als desert een parfait van asperge, fantastisch en origineel. De kinderen hadden de burger met kaas (verrassend met lokale blauwe kaas, maar omdat ze dat wat spannend vonden, is die voor hen speciaal met oude kaas gemaakt). Die blauwe kaas van een lokale kaasmaker was overigens geweldig! Restaurant de Prins, hartelijk bedankt en tot de volgende keer als we Makkum aandoen!!!

Heerlijk gegeten en top bediening. Wat een leuke plek om te eten. Leuk om te zien dat de nieuwe eigenaresse het zo goed aanpakt.

The four of us received a very friendly welcome all 3 times we have been there in recent days. Once for a cup of cappuccino with a cookie based on the owner's mother's recipe. Nice. The other two times we had a delicious meal with different choices from the menu: including delicious cheese fondue, tasty game recipes accompanied by tasty vegetables and such and delicious desserts of course. Sophie took care of us at the table. Truly an opportunity to go to. In our opinion, a must in a wonderfully authentic ambiance.

There were four of us for dinner at De Prins. All dishes were delicious. However, the mussels with fries should be highlighted, super fresh and also really big - yummy! Service was mega friendly and we can absolutely recommend the restaurant!

Wir waren mit dem Boot in Makkum und im.September insgesamt 3 mal dort. Schönes altes authentisches Haus mit schönem gemütlichem Gastraum. Sie Speisenauswahl und Qualität waren klasse. Der Service aufmerksam und ausgesprochen freundlich. Ich kann das Lokal nur weiter empfehlen.

We went to Makkum by boat and were there a total of 3 times in September. Beautiful old authentic house with a nice, cozy guest room. The food selection and quality were great. The service was attentive and extremely friendly. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Had a great time sitting and eating. Nice atmosphere. It would have been nice if the oysters had been delivered faster, it doesn't take much time to prepare oysters and then we could have started right away. Another piece of advice: don't serve olive oil or mayonnaise or anything else in those cheap and slightly dirty paper containers.

Had dinner here twice in August. The second time especially for circumnavigation. What delicious food, wonderful hostess and super attentive service. I can't wait to drive there again especially from Velp.

nett gelegenes Lokal und freundliches Personal, dafür die zwei Punkte! Die Sanitäranlagen sind defekt und heruntergekommen, das Essen lieblos angerichtet und fade im Geschmack, das Frühlingshühnchen nicht mal durch. Preislich völlig übertrieben, einen Besuch zum Essen können wir leider nicht empfehlen, auf ein Bier gehts.

Apparently we were unlucky. Too expensive for very little on the plate. The pasta with tomato sauce for our child was larger. We came hungry and left frustrated (and still hungry), only satisfied by the price. Location itself really authentic and beautifully located.

Excellente adresse pour une cuisine maison et moderne à des prix corrects pour le pays. Le cadre est très sympa à l extérieur où on peut voir passer les bateaux sous le pont relevant soit à l intérieur ou à l étage avec sa déco authentique. Les plats sont cuisinés et délicats nous avons goûté une entrée avec des couteaux chauds avec des salicorne, le coquelet aux champignons et la pêche du jour servies avec des légumes croquants de saison. Les desserts sont peu nombreux mais très travaillés et pas trop sucrés. L accueil et le service ont été impeccables. C est un établissement tenu par des femmes aux cuisines et au service. Tout était parfait

We gingen er met 2 eten. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk maar dat was dan ook het enige positieve. Zeer sobere presentatie van de gerechten. Geen groente bij de schnitzel, enkel een paar zielige kielaardappelen. Bij de porchetta ( matige bereiding) moest je 4 EU bij betalen voor een kleine portie verbrande frietjes. Zijn geld niet waard. Hier gaan we niet meer terug.

We had docked with the ship for one night and made reservations for dinner at De Prins. The very friendly owner also listened to our wishes for the food and gave us good advice. Wir waren gestern nach einem schönen Tag am Ijsselmeer nach Empfehlung vom Segler Forum vor Ort. Bei tollstem Wetter saßen wir draußen in der Sonne mit Blick auf die Schleuse und den Hafen. Wundervoll. Der Service super freundlich und mehrsprachig. Deutsch und Englisch kein Problem. Zum Essen kann man nur sagen ein Traum. Das Rote Beete Tatar mit Ziegenkäse würden wir jederzeit wieder bestellen. Der Rotbarsch als Tagesgericht mit Risotto war auch sehr gut. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Geweldige kok. Kabeljauw met lamsoren en zeekraal is een aanrader. Alleen jammer dat je aardappeltjes en groente erbij apart moet bestellen.

Seit wir in Makkum unser Boot liegen haben, unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Essen ist jedes Mal köstlich, es gibt immer wieder auch Besonderes auf der Tageskarte. Immer lecker :-) Der Gastraum ist wunderschön und nostalgisch. Man fühlt den Puls der alten Seefahrer. Die Menschen, die sich um unser Wohlergehen kümmern, sind außerordentlich freundlich, auf eine ehrliche, wunderbare Art. Wir kommen immer wieder gern und freuen uns nach einem Besuch direkt auf den nächsten. Weiter so!!

sehr coole Oldschool Atmosphäre! Das Essen war wirklich lecker und die Aussicht auf die Einfahrt des Hafens ist atemberaubend! Geheimtipp: Die Kräuterbutter ist der Hit!
