Unfortunately, a disappointing experience at De Smaaktuin. A small menu with excellent sandwiches, soup, and snacks. This is perfectly fine and well-priced. There's a wide selection of sweet treats, coffee, and soft drinks. Nothing to complain about, except that the drink prices are on the high side. The service was appalling. Disinterested, rude, and impolite. If an 84-year-old man makes a comment about a sandwich with red peppers in it, I expect some empathy. Instead, the kitchen staff complained that they were having a rough day. Very inappropriate!

Vlasmarkt 24Pizza Amore leaves a special place in the heart of every university student in Middelburg. The food is always on point though a bit expensive at times. Comes out fast too, especially helpful after a long night out. I mainly appreciate that it is one of the few places in Middelburg open late at night. My one complaint is that some patrons can be very loud and rude. However, it is one of the closest food joints from the local bars so this makes sense.

Markt 79We went in to ask if a table was available, but from the very first moment, the waitress treated us poorly. Her attitude was more that of a police officer than someone in customer service. I hope this wasn't because we're not Dutch. She invited us to leave instead of welcoming us. Ultimately, we decided to leave. Very disappointing customer service.
