De Steenhoeve in Wijk 00 Made

If you want a place where you can always come back, where it's always cozy, the people are nice and the food is delicious, then this is THE place in Made!

Had lunch here with my partner. The restaurant was very festively decorated with Christmas decorations. We opted for the lunch platter. The food was truly delicious. I ordered coffee. When I asked for a glass of water, I was given sparkling water...we don't serve free water, they told me. A bit odd, when you spend over 50 euros on lunch and you can't get a glass of water with it.

The vegetarian curry was absolutely terrible. Tasteless, and the eggplant was raw or undercooked. No curry, no coconut milk, just plain cream. This gave it a very sickly taste. Saltless. The flavorful rice was also almost saltless and had no spices. The worst part was that we had stomachaches and diarrhea in the evening, probably due to the eggplant being too raw. That releases a toxin, which causes stomach upset. So, we returned with a full plate, but not even a cup of tea to compensate. The only response was, "Oh, well, we never get complaints." The stuffed pepper was supposed to be with ratatouille, but all I could detect was tomato and bell pepper. The cheese was only under the lid, melted in a small lump. So, not recommended. A shame, because it does look like a nice cafe.

Cold and raw dishes. The dining room was very noisy (too small and too low) for the number of guests.

Simply awful. Black chicken satay with sauce that required a knife. The staff couldn't be more friendly. I had to buy a bottle of water to take my medication.

We had a delicious lunch, a snack for me and a prawn salad for my partner. Both were delicious.

We were not welcomed, but ordered to hang our wet coats and certainly the umbrellas in the designated place. You can find a high chair yourself (there and there under the stairs). The food and drinks were ok, but would taste better with some hospitality. We will not come back.

Today on 26-12-2024, the second day of Christmas, we went to eat with 8 adults and 2 small children. The service is extremely friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. Too bad the food is not very good in quality, and the side dishes are not very special either. For the amount you have to pay per person, you would expect a bit more. But again, the service is very friendly and the restaurant looks nice and cozy.

We had a very tasty meal here! Products were all fresh, it looked neat and the portions were generous. The people are very friendly. Ideal that they have a separate section for smokers/non-smokers. We would definitely come back when we are in the area.

If you offer sugar-free raspberry ice cream, it must also be sugar-free. And not sweetened with dextrose and glucose. This became apparent when I asked the waiter. Dangerous for a diabetic in our entourage.

As always, delicious food! The menu is diverse, so there is something for everyone and plenty of choice. Friendly service. You can sit both inside and outside. We eat here regularly and it is always good!

What a delicious meal we had here! We had the tournedos and the asparagus salad as a starter. Truly something to eat your fingers! Dessert was the cheesecake with mango ice cream. That was also really tasty. Apart from the food being delicious, the staff was also really great! Each and every one of them is a fun, interested, sociable, pleasant and warm personality! If we come back here again, we will definitely eat here again!

Poke bowl not recommended. You only get a salad with a little rice. The stew where also way too watery.

Had a great meal here last night. Many sauces are gluten-free and the kitchen knows what is in what, no prefab and packets and bags:-) Fries also gluten-free. Game pate and pieces of stew (beef stew does contain gluten) and it was delicious! Service super friendly: will definitely come back here again!

Mediocre food. Grandma's stew sounds good, but the taste was far from special and the price-quality was completely lost. Not much meat and potatoes to be found, but lots of gravy and some ready-made red cabbage. Luckily we ordered fries otherwise it wouldn't have been enough as a main course. Staff responded tepidly to my comments. Indicated that they just had a new menu and that it also made a difference that we had not taken a starter. Of course, we can decide that ourselves and we assume that a main course should be sufficient. We won't go again.

Heerlijke vegetarische maaltijd gegeten

Om mijn verhaal niet te lang te maken hou ik het bij één item. De gegeven sterren voor de andere items vertellen in feite het hele verhaal... Perfecte bediening! Zeker als je in ogenschouw neemt dat ze lijden onder personeelstekort. Deze tendens is landelijk. Dus een snelle oplossing lijkt ver weg. Maar het personeel weet zich goed te weren. Ze zijn positief ingesteld, zijn klantvriendelijk en proactief. Chapeau. Ik kom zeker terug.

Heerlijk eten en goede service en bediening

Een hapje gegeten met mijn man en ouders. Vriendelijke bediening, denkt met je mee, mogelijkheden tot aanpassing worden geboden (bv een kleiner toetje voor mijn moeder, een tafeltje erbij voor aansvhuivende familie). Op zich was het eten prima. Jammer dat de mosselen nogal klein waren en er vrij veel dichte schelpen tussen zaten. De gevulde courgette viel tegen. De portie was erg groot, een hele courgette, de vulling vrij karig en met de courgette was verder niet veel gedaan, was niet op smaak gebracht en maar net gaar. Daar zijn echt mogelijkheden voor verbetering.

Veel te lang moeten wachten alvorens bestelling werd opgenomen namelijk 50 minuten. Personeelsgebrek. Toen we er iets van zeiden, fee vriendelijk antwoord.

Wij hadden via voordeeluitje een arrangement geboekt. Dus we hadden niet veel keus. Eten was niet slecht maar ook niet echt heel goed. Beetje lang op het eten moeten wachten. Bediening was heel erg vriendelijke, en behulpzaam.

Prima restaurant, erg lekker gegeten. Bediening was vriendelijk, behulpzaam en snel. Een aanrader voor iedereen.

De Steenhoeve was a great restaurant to eat with fare prices and wonderful service.

Goed eten, vriendelijke bediening en prima prijzen. Op de avond de zeetong en zalmfilet gegeten, beide waren zeer smakelijk. De sfeer in het restaurant is warm - klassieke inrichting zonder oubollig te zijn - en de ambiance rustig.

Het eten was heel goed ook het personeel was erg vriendelijk wij komen er erg graag

Het is voor mij hier altijd weer thuis komen. Lekkere biertjes, een menu wat bij mijn smaak past en een fijne bediening.

Bediening werkt steeds in opdracht van... Weinig empathie, beetje robot-achtige sfeer. De bediening doet hun uiterste best, echter, voelen wel steeds de druk van de baas. De baas mag zelf ook wel wat vriendelijker omgaan met de klanten. We bestelden om 22 20 uur nog een drankje, kregen bij dit uitserveren direct te horen dat dit het laatste was.Omdat ze om 23.00 uur gingen sluiten .De rekening kregen we om 23.03 uur gepresenteerd zonder dat we er om gevraagd hadden.Vervolgens ging alle lichten aan , waarbij we echt een kroeggevoel kregen waarbij het de hoogste tijd was, en we niet in een sterrenrestaurant vertoefden.Ook de hotelgasten die er blijven slapen stonden ook direct in de tl - lichten.Echt zo jammer. Bij het verlaten van het restaurant had de baas/ eigenaar ons wel een vriendelijker gedag kunnen wensen en op zijn minst bij ons te informeren of we een leuke avond gehad hadden..I.p.v. op zijn stoel te blijven zitten achter zijn pc en een mager afscheidje. Het had echt wel wat klantvriendelijker mogen zijn.Helaas.

Gezellig en heerlijk gegeten en je kunt er fijn buiten zitten

Heel lekker gegeten, vispotje was prima net als de gefrituurde mosselen. Toetje en de koffie maakten het etentje, met regen op de voorgrond, tot een gezellig avondje uit.

Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Aardig personeel. Lunch via Social Deal (soep en broodje) was gewoon goed.
