Het Panorama Restaurant/Grand-Café in Wijk 01 Drimmelen

What a relief! We initially stopped at More-itz for lunch, but unfortunately, lunch there turned into dinner. But at Panorama, we had a fantastic, delicious lunch. Thanks to the waitresses at Panorama.

Delicious salmon! Whenever we're moored in Drimmelen with our boat, we always eat here. Lovely seats with a view of the water. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The portions are just right for us—not too big and not too small. After our meal, we had a coffee, and no one rushed us. We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic, what service! Nothing is difficult, not even caramel sauce, the chef will make it himself. If you share a meal with two people, everything is divided between two plates from the kitchen. Truly fantastic, a wonderful experience every time!

Delicious hamburger and friendly staff and beautiful view

Cozy interior, spotlessly clean, and incredibly friendly and professional service. Someone suddenly asked: "Would you like a break or the next course?" And the food: delicious!! And it looked beautiful, too.

We received a cold, medium-rare steak, and the plate was fairly warm, but that could have been from the dishes. They sent it back and said it could be more medium, which was fine. We got it back, and it was a warm steak on an even warmer plate, so I suspect it was simply microwaved both times (I'm almost certain). It was truly awful.

We had a great meal during our team outing. Beautiful view over the Americas.

On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., we wanted to have a drink and the waitress came to us and said, "There are only two of us, you really can't sit down. We're just here for drinks, sorry, that's not going to work!" It's very strange to throw people out like that. I understand if you're completely full and the kitchen can't keep up, but if you can't even pour two soft drinks, then add another person to the staff and you don't have to be so rude!

What a wonderful ending to our evening at Panorama in Drimmelen! Even though the restaurant was actually closed, Marcel and Mariëlle prepared a fantastic dinner especially for us. A large tasting menu full of delicious dishes, paired with wonderful wines. Truly wonderful, a unique and atmospheric ending! 🌟🍷

Today I was in Drimmelen and had lunch at this beautiful, atmospheric spot. And what a fantastic view of the water! The lunch was delicious, and the staff was quick and friendly. Only the parking was a nightmare. After a long search, I found a spot and wondered if I was even allowed to park there.

I ate mussels with my mother. The mussels and fries were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and even though it was busy, there was time for a chat. We will definitely be back!

We waren met 'n grote groep van 12 personen, en we hebben à la carte besteld. Alles kwam keurig tegelijkertijd en de bediening was uiterst vriendelijk en attent: kwamen regelmatig vragen of alles naar wens was en of we nog wat te drinken wilden. Leuke plek!

It's lovely to sit outside, with a beautiful view. Delicious apple pie and tasty fries with herbs on top. A great place to stop during a bike ride!

Had a wonderful meal here on Saturday. We went here after a day of sailing. Super friendly service and delicious food. Definitely a must-do if you're in Drimmelen.

Het eten viel erg tegen .We hadden fish en chips besteld. Gewend zijn we de (verse) frites in een bekertje te krijgen en de vis (meestal stukken kibbeling) sappig van smaak op het bord met een frisse salade. Vandaag was een heel ander verhaal namelijk een zeer hard gefrituurd stuk kabeljauw gelegd op een bord vol met (fabrieks) frites ook heel hard gefrituurd en droog en een salade die geheel doorweekt was van saus. De salade zaten veel bruine bladen in. Het geheel was niet smakelijk alleen de bijgeleverde ravigotte saus en mayonaise waren goed van smaak. Heel erg jammer dat het eten zo slecht verzorgd was.Verder was de bediening helemaal oké en gastvrij. Ze nam onze kritiek mee en zou het doorgeven aan de keuken.

Om 18.00 uur gereserveerd en na 2 uur, ruim na 20.00 uur kregen we de hoofdgerechten. Tussen voor- en hoofdgerecht zat 1,5 uur. De kok krijgt de schuld maar de bediening heeft de bestelling niet in volgorde geplaatst. Matig eten, vet en na 2 uur wachten is de honger wel voorbij. De aanvoer van drank ging snel. Voor mij geen 2e keer meer. Harde banken, zonder kussens, na 2 uur wachten voel je dat wel aan je zitvlak. Als pleister op de wonde kregen we voor ons vertrek koffie gratis. Kortom nog veel verbeterpunten voor de eigenaar van dit restaurant.

Disappointing experience – not as promised We are unfortunately very disappointed. We had made a reservation by phone for two people by the water, and clearly indicated this. However, upon arrival we were assigned a small spot far from the water. When we said something about this, we only heard: “Yes, everyone wants to sit by the water.” Very strange, because that is exactly why we had called in advance. If there was no spot, that should have been honestly stated on the phone. Then we could have planned something else. I was really angry. I left, because I can't enjoy myself this way. Too bad that appointments are handled so carelessly.

30 years ago I worked here as a student. Apart from a different colour of paint, not much has changed. However, this is going to change drastically. And that is good, because the food has potential. The menu consists of traditional dishes. Fine for the mainstream public but less attractive to the gourmet. Due to this basic offer, my company opted for a surprise menu and this surprised us positively.... The dishes were prepared with care and attractively arranged on the plate. The whole thing was well seasoned with a few points for improvement. The amuse soups were tasty but really too salty. The red wine sauce could use a bit more spice. Finally, the fries were crispy but too dry. Overall we had a nice meal and the service was friendly. We will definitely come back as soon as the renovation is finished.

The view is nice, the food is not bad, but I don't recommend going there on a Sunday at 12 noon. It took about an hour to prepare the cheese and ham toast. they clearly cannot handle the flow of visitors

The restaurant has a new owner and there is nothing to complain about! The restaurant looks good on the inside and it is in a nice location. The food itself is also very tasty! You can't get it everywhere anymore!

The three of us enjoyed a 4-course surprise menu – and it certainly was: a pleasant and tasty surprise! When ordering the drinks, it was noticed that there was no young gin or sherry on the menu, which was a shame. Fortunately, the wine and beer more than made up for it; both were excellent. The service was smooth, friendly and attentive, which made the experience extra pleasant. One point to note: the noise level in the restaurant is quite high, especially when it is full. That sometimes makes having a conversation at the table a bit difficult. All in all a successful evening. We would love to come back, especially once the announced construction plans have been realized!

Here you can really enjoy delicious food in a beautiful location. Recommended!

The best experience ever. The food was great and was not too salty so our kid could enjoy her healthy meal. The staff woman who was serving the terrace was extremely kind and friendly. We loved every part of that place and we will definitely visit there again with more family members when they visit us.

Fantastic there, I have been coming there for 40 years, beautiful view, friendly staff ❣️👌🏼 It's such a shame that there is a new owner that I came for, I enjoyed it so much. Now it is frozen and the fish is hard and no longer tastes good and it is so nice to sit there. I thought that was the case, it will remain that way, but unfortunately 😏

Delicious food in a top location.

Unexpectedly ended up here after a nice bike ride. It started well with the lovely lady who received us! A wine and a beer arrived quickly! The soup of the day and the vitello tonato were super tasty! That promises something for the main course. The tournedos was good, but the hamburger was still raw. Gave this back! The lady comes back after 5 minutes with the same hamburger! Almost everything was removed from the toppings and the hamburger was cut in half and pounded flat by the chef and still fried raw. On a new roll. It looked unappetizing! Very unfortunate and a disappointing end to a beautiful day! Of course we didn't have to pay for the hamburger. Not really a return!

What a relief with the new owners Marcel and Marielle. Because we wanted to have lunch with dishes that were actually on the dinner menu (from 4 p.m.), upon inquiry it turned out that we could order everything on the menu. Delicious fish dish and beautifully presented. The "dame blanche" was also special and richly presented. Finish with a delicious cup of coffee. In short, this invites repetition. New owner since the beginning of 2025, where we have loved coming to his restaurant Koken aan de Markt. Now for the first time to Panorama harbor restaurant. Four course surprise menu, perfect price-quality ratio, hospitable and attentive service, tasty wines. Just had a great evening!

Ate here for the first time, in one word AMAZING, we ate the surprise menu and it was great!! Compliments to the chef. Has a new owner, but they get it! Highly recommended!!

Been for the first time now that the new owner has moved in. We regularly visited him at Koken aan de Markt in Geertruidenberg. You have the same concept but in Drimmelen. The food was as we were used to, perfectly fine. Ditto the service. The chardonnay is also recommended.

The restaurant surprised us. We came here for the first time and we immediately noticed how busy it was. That was not without reason. You can sit by the water with a great view. Lovely when the sun shines, but be aware that the low sun is sometimes too bright and comes under the awnings and parasols. Furthermore, the food was delicious and fresh. I think that is very important. We would love to come back here again.

Yesterday evening we had dinner with our family at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Staff very friendly, helpful and think along to ensure everyone has a good time.

Beautiful location with a view of the water! But burger was disappointing; the meat seemed to be fried in a deep fryer ;-(

Relax with a nice drink and a delicious dinner with a view of the Amer and Biesbosch. A beautiful terrace, on the water, on the west side of the restaurant, which is always in the sun after noon. The service was extremely friendly.

Beautiful place on the water. Nice, smooth service. Food is tasty. It's a pity that the main courses only come with fries and not a little salad or something like that, which could be possible considering the price. If we are in the area, we will definitely come back.

The location on the water is great. The hamburger was of reasonable quality. The kibbeling, on the other hand, was inedible. Paper thin fish with a pile of batter that was fried way too hard. Have also clearly stated this. Not even responded to yet. It would be passed on to the cook. For this money I would expect something better.

Wat een bagger tent, heb met vriend de classic burger genomen, maar was burger met alleen maar zout, ook een vriend van me ging even naar de wc ging bediener Mitchell de stoel van die vriend pakken en bij andere tafels zetten, deze zelfde Mitchell ons ook al constant arrogant bejegende. Misschien iets westers? Restaurant ziet er interessant uit, maar is dat niet, mijn advies dit restaurant gewoon negeren en ergens anders uw voedsel te zoeken.

Had a shared dinner via social deal. Unfortunately the quantity was less than last time. In addition, we had to wait more than fifteen minutes before we had a drink. We only got drinks after the starter had been served. It was busy and apparently the staff was not very adept at dealing with this. A little more A little more efficiency would help.

We arrived at Panorama. There was enough space on the terrace. BUT they had divided the terrace in two and one half was not served (ridiculous in the high season) And when the other half was full, you could stand in line for a table. So we could leave just like 10 other people. 1 star is still too much...

What bad service at this restaurant! Staff sees you enter with a group of people. After 15 minutes, still no one from the service asks if you would like to order something. Finally I walked to the bar to place an order. Food was so-so, no employee asked anything at checkout. What a mockery this tent! Atmospheric, poor service and no special food.

I went here for high tea with my mother. I gave this to her as a gift through Social Deal for a very nice price. According to the information on Social Deal, the high tea lasts 2 hours and includes a welcome drink. This is quite correct. When we just arrived we were welcomed by a friendly and nice young waitress. We also received the welcome drink. This was a Mimosa cocktail and we had the choice between an alcoholic or non-alcoholic variant. Both tasty. At the same time as the cocktails we received hot water for tea and very (too) shortly afterwards we received the first dishes. This was a delicious tomato soup, 2 thick slices of dark brown bread topped with salmon and egg salad. We also received a plate with 2 small waffles, 2 pieces of brownie and 2 pieces of carrot cake. Our plan of action was to eat the soup first because it was warm, then each had a waffle to neutralize the taste and then continue with the dark brown bread with salmon and egg salad. And finally the brownie and carrot cake of this round. In the meantime, we had only had a few sips of our cocktail because we also had tea ready. When we finished the soup, the last 3 plates with delicacies from the high tea arrived. This did not actually fit on our table because we had not yet finished our first dishes. I indicated to the blonde waitress (the first had dark hair) that we thought it was very fast. This was mainly because the new dishes were all warm. I received no response to this. We thought that was strange. We had to take some things off our table to put on the windowsill otherwise it wouldn't fit properly. But in the end everything was possible on the table. The new dishes were 2 variants of small toasted sandwiches. Both delicious. And small containers with a tasty salad. This included delicious marinated pieces of chicken. We also got 2 large pieces of nicely seasoned kibbeling. A few minutes later the same waitress came to ask if she could take our cocktail glasses. My mother still had more than half of it left. I had just taken my last sip. So it seemed clear to me that my mother's couldn't come along yet. As far as the dishes are concerned, we had to adjust our plan of action slightly because we now had 3 plates of hot food. So first we ate the toasted sandwiches. Then the salad and the kibbeling. Then we still had the plates with the dark brown bread with the salmon and egg salad, together with the plate with the pieces of brownie and carrot cake. A few minutes later the same waitress came to ask if we had finished eating and if she could take the plates with us. But we hadn't eaten anything from the last 2 plates. And we were there for about 50-55 minutes. That's why we deliberately took it easy with the last few things because we thought it was going too fast and we were feeling comfortable. It's also just a nice restaurant on the water. Shortly afterwards my mother had to go to the toilet where she also caught the blonde waitress smoking. She came out of the toilet and put something like a cigarette or check in her pocket and the toilet smelled like a cigarette, my mother told me. After we ate the last things at our leisure, we both ordered another coffee. They were also very good. An older and friendly waitress came to ask us if everything was to our liking. Very neat. Our comment about the pace also explained why the waitress said that she would certainly discuss this and that in the future they might better check whether guests had already finished the first dishes. After this, the friendly waitress who also welcomed us upon arrival came to give us the bill and we went home. Because we had been very leisurely at the end, it ended up taking just over 2 hours. The dishes were tasty, the restaurant is nicely located and decorated and the service is friendly.

I don't often post reviews, but I like to write this one for the panorama! Very tasty and varied meal with the shared dining menu. You get a lot of value for your money, with beautiful views and a compact, quiet atmosphere.

The high tea was very tasty and certainly sufficient. It consists of more savory snacks than sweet, but I actually really liked it! The chicken salad was our favorite. We got a nice table by the window where we could look out at the water. The staff were friendly and came regularly to replenish the tea.
