Went for the first time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Cozy restaurant. Steppe grass was good. The spareribs were good. One downside: It was quite quiet in terms of table occupancy. And everyone was placed in a corner of the room. The war room didn't spread out when 70% of the tables were empty. So, it was a bit crowded. I think that's a downside.

I've eaten at this restaurant before, but this time it wasn't as good. The steppe grass was hard. It tasted more like French fries and chips. I couldn't have eaten it with a fork when it was so hard. And the steak was a bit tough. A shame, because usually everything is really good.

If you're looking for something different to eat, this is a great place. You can eat steppe grass here. The staff is super friendly and the portions are huge...and delicious too. We'd love to come back again when we're in the area.

For those with smaller appetites, you can also order a small meal. I like that since I have a GBP card. And it's really affordable there.

Smooth service via a tablet. And yet, the service was superb. Friendly service! The steppe grass was delicious with the goulash.

Not recommended. We sent the schnitzel back because it was overcooked. The second time wasn't much better either. The steak strips were very tasteless, cold, and well-done instead of medium. The "stappegras" itself was also overcooked. We reported it to the staff, but they didn't offer an apology or anything to make up for the inconvenience.

Eight of us dined here. The menu offers plenty of choices, so there's something for everyone. Ordering with the tablet was a bit awkward at first, especially since it wasn't busy yet, and the staff were chatting away. But as it got busier, the tablet proved its usefulness, and everything went smoothly. The food and drinks arrived quickly. I had the spareribs and dame blanche, and they were delicious. The family also enjoyed their dishes. I loved the steppe grass. We've had it in Belgium, and this is certainly just as good. Delicious!

Original concept. Steppe grass can be served loose in a bowl or piled high on top of your meat. Portions are generous. Ordering via a tablet isn't very personal, but the service is helpful. You won't have to wait long for your food.

Restaurant where you can sit comfortably by the river. Friendly staff. Steppe grass is the specialty, but I really didn't find it very practical. I'd rather have fries. The meat dishes are probably just reheated. Nothing special.

Well, Steppegras, I had imagined something different. Expectations were quite high, but what was served was nothing more than good. Tasty, but not simple and not a highlight. One person asked for a rare steak, but got medium. "The chef can't guarantee anything," they said beforehand. Basically a glorified chip shop with chunks of steak or satay instead of a croquette or frikandel. It was cold inside, we were under the air conditioning, and outside the view of the river, the decor and atmosphere were chilly. You order via a tablet, and your drinks are on the table in no time. It was nice to have eaten Steppegras once, but I don't think they'll see me again.

We had a wonderful meal again as always, the food was very tasty as always and the waiters who work there were friendly, we will be back soon

Good food, 3 sizes, a bit more expensive than a “snack bar”. Enter orders on a tablet.

Satay was not very special and the spareribs a bit dry. Bread with spreads was fine. Staff was very friendly. We asked for regular fries and they were very tasty. Whether we ever go again, I don't think so from a price point of view, certainly not expensive.

It was our first time. The range and price and the food itself was fine. The staff super friendly. But it took a really long time before we got the food. Waited more than an hour and 25 minutes for an ice cream. It is a small restaurant, it was full, but waiting more than an hour for the food is not normal. Drinks also arrived within 5 minutes. You order with a tablet, but apparently if you order the small Schnitzel you can only order from the staff. They should mention that because before we found out we were also 30 minutes further away. I don't know if I'll ever eat there again. A nice cozy tent.

Last Sunday, December 1, we ate delicious steppe grass with our husband and the children. The staff was very friendly.

Read reviews here from people who eat here and have no idea what steppe grass is and how it is reserved. They would be better off eating at the chip shop on the corner.

Had a nice meal there. It was a large plate of meat and fries, the soup was also very tasty and the staff was friendly, we didn't have to wait long and it was cozy on the water. Definitely worth repeating.

Delicious food, more than enough, even with the normal portion

It was the first time. I chose the satay. 1 stick and a bowl of steppe grass. We had to share the salad, a soup bowl size, with 5 people. Was it worth the money? Not for me. My husband chose D.o.m coffee for dessert. he got it without whipped cream. When we asked about it, we were sorry, the staff member didn't know that. We will take 50 cents off the bill. I was amazed. A new coffee miss would have been a better option for a good review.

Went here for dinner on spec with our partner. It was my first time but I really enjoyed it, nice and friendly staff, delicious food and a beautiful view.

Go 6 times a year and always good

1st and last time for us. Everything is very focused on money. Nothing is service or standard. Adults who are not very hungry are told not to take a child's portion (just take a more expensive, larger meal), or they are asked to ask for an extra plate for 4 euros! “These are the rules” Little meat, no vegetables, just a meager salad for 6 people, fries are a bit hard-fried. Prices are high for what you get. For that money you would be better off eating somewhere else. Staff is not open to tips and improvements. Unfortunately for us this will not be repeated.

The steppe grass was way too greasy, completely engorged as if the frying fat was not replaced often enough or was not at the right temperature. Schnitzel wasn't great either. Unfortunately we won't be coming back here again.

Always tasty and we always eat too much

Super friendly staff, food was on the table quickly, it just wasn't tasty. It is more of a canteen than a restaurant. On the way home we had to stop for the toilet!

Service was really super friendly! But boy, having a normal conversation with my table companions was not an option. It seemed like we were in a restaurant with 200 people, as much noise as there was. I think the prices are on the high side for what you get. You get a lump of fries with a stick of satay hidden underneath, with almost no satay sauce to be found. Meat was ok but not something to go back for. Also found the fries very greasy. Plus a small bowl of salad to share with 5 people. I think you have to really love fries and like the concept. When serving, some of the fries fell on my lap, so the plates were completely full. Not worth going again for me.

28-07-2024 Upon arrival we were immediately helped and given a table, great! 👍 The lady asked if we were familiar with ordering via the tablet, I said 'yes, we have been here before, but how can I choose the sauce separately 🤷🏼‍♀️' That was never clear in the previous times when ordering via the tablet... The lady says: then you have to choose "No sauce" and then order it separately.. So I opted for 'no sauce' and ordered the sauce separately... When I look at the receipt afterwards, €5.90 has been charged for 2x sauce that is normally included in the price of the dishes 🤬 Beef tenderloin tips were impossible to cut, so tough... Drinking: Very little alcohol + no ice in the glass (or immediately thawed) + no lemon/lime 🤷🏼‍♀️ Ice can no longer be ordered via the tablet, but it used to be possible. These are all small things, but all together it's just pretty bad for that amount of money...

Een electronisch bestel systeem wat niet echt nerd proof is. Probeer een van een portie friet een grote te maken. Lukt zelfs de bediening niet. Twee kleine eters aan tafel. Delen kan niet. Kost je €4 extra. We hebben de drank afgerekend en weg wezen. Het is schandalig.

Had dinner here last Thursday with 5 adults and 2 children. The children were immediately given pencils to color and it was the oldest's birthday. He was allowed to make his own ice cream, which he really enjoyed. The waitress did everything she could to ensure the children had a good time, compliments to her!

Never had steppe grass before. Nice for once, not really my thing. The rest of the food was reasonable to good. Meat didn't have the wow factor. It's actually just a fancier chip shop, which by the way has everything well organized. Nice place, great terrace, very friendly staff, highly recommended for a meal.

The food was tasty but there wasn't much vegetables and it was way too much, they probably have to throw away a lot too. The staff was friendly but it was a hassle with the tablet. A map would be better.

De 1ste schnitzel was van beide rauw. Nieuwe gekregen. 2de was van mij ook nog een stukje rauw. Mijn vriend en ik zijn heel de nacht ziek geweest. Er is geen compensatie geweest van een drankje of korting. Wat een feestelijke avond had moeten worden werd een nachtmerrie. Ik hoop nog van u te horen want een hele nacht ziek zijn voor €55 vind ik toch veel geld. Tot op heden geen terugkoppeling gekregen.

Friends of ours invited us because they loved it here. We liked it for once, but we were disappointed that you got so little meat. A huge mountain of fries that were nice and thin, but there were only a few pieces of meat underneath, which honestly tasted good, a pity that there were no vegetables. Only a small bowl of lettuce for 6 people together. There could also be more choice for dessert. Friendly service.

Beste steppegrasrestaurant van Nederland. Wij rijden hier regelmatig 3 kwartier voor om lekker te gaan eten. Service is top, vriendelijke en snelle bediening. Voor degene die geen steppegras wil, is er op verzoek ook heerlijke dikke friet te bestellen.

Heerlijk gegeten. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De aankleding van het restaurant verdient wel verbetering.

Prijs kwaliteit vonden wij wat tegen vallen maar leuk om eens te hebben gegeten

Heerlijk eten grote porties, zeker voor kinderen een spectaculaire maaltijd. Als ze hun bord leeg hebben kan er gevraagd worden om een certificaat, leuke bijkomstigheid en iets waar de kinderen trots op zijn! De sfeer en service vind ik door het gebruik van tablets minder gezellig en persoonlijk, vandaar de lagere score. Aankleding is wat kaal en eenvoudig, het uitzicht op het water en de haven maakt dat weer goed.

Speciaal voor " steppengras" naar toe gegaan. Reserveren is aan te bevelen, is meestal druk. Heel vriendelijke bediening. Steppengras moet je een keer proberen. Portie was enorm. Ik kreeg het niet op.

Altijd lekker een keertje steppers eten helaas waren ze s'middag niet openen. Maar is wel een aanrader.

Weer een ervaring rijker, en een paar kilo voller. Man o man wat een baas als je dit op krijgt. Biefstukpuntjes waren ver te zoeken onder het Steppegras.

Het was heel erg lekker!! Tafeltjes staan een beetje te dicht op elkaar, het geluid was erg had door de echo van de druk bezette tafels. Rond 19:00 werd het wat rustiger, de volgende keer komen we wat later ;)

Het woord daar bij me opkomt is "grappig". Die bult steppegras met daaronder een stokje sate. Ik vond het geen succes.

helaas vonden we het deze keer erg tegenvallen. biefstuk puntjes (medium) waren net schoenzolen. zowel de teriakki als de biefstukreepjes biesbosch. De bijgeschotelde salade.. was heerlijk

Erg druk restaurant gelukkig gereserveerd, steppe Gras, maar ook andere gewone dingen porties mogelijk ook vanaf binnen mooi uizicht over havengebied/ natuur.

Hier kun je dus steppegras eten. Dit is heel dun gesneden friet. Bestelling gaat via een tablet en de service is super snel. Lekker eten voor een normale prijs. Wij hadden het geluk dat we met zijn tweeën terecht konden. Maar normaal gesproken is het slim om van te voren te reserveren.

Was eerste keer en een ervaring . Was lekker maar voor mij persoonlijk heel veel ..dus je gaat daar zeker niet met honger weg ... Meer dan voldoende keus .

Te weinig vlees verstopt onder teveel steppegras

Ik kreeg geen keuze tussen binnen of buiten zitten, terwijl het mooi, warm weer was en het terras opgesteld stond. Ik MOEST binnen gaan zitten, want men vond het te omslachtig om binnen en buiten te bedienen ( waarom heb je dan een terras ? ) Je doet de bestelling via een apparaatje, dat je bij binnenkomst krijgt. Het bestellen gaat makkelijk, en moet iedereen kunnen. Je moet alles doen via dit apparaatje. Dus het bestellen van drinken, van eten, stellen van vragen, uiteindelijk betalen van de bon ( tenzij je hier aangeeft cash te willen betalen ) en kunt hier zelfs een review achterlaten. Er werd vlot bediend, echter was de bediening vreselijk slordig. Er viel dan ook veel eten van de borden af, deels op de tafels, deels op de grond, maar het werd NIET opgeruimd door de bediening. "Dat moet de schoonmaak morgenochtend maar doen." Maar dat betekent dus wel, dat jij tussen de rotzooi zit te eten, en tussen wisseling van mensen aan tafeltjes werd er ook niet gepoetst. Kwaliteit van het eten was wel goed, alleen kreeg een ieder zoveel steppegras op zijn bord, dat niemand zijn bord leegat. Dit is simpelweg voedselverspilling. Zelfs voor grote eters is het veel te veel !!! Niet zozeer vanwege het eten, maar vanwege de hygiëne en het feit, dat ik vind, dat je midden in de zomer toch op het terras moet kunnen zitten, zal ik deze plek niet aanraden. Tenzij er grote veranderingen bij het personeel komen.

We liepen hier langs en waren benieuwd naar hun steppegrasfriet. Zoals anderen ook opmerkten, zijn de porties zo groot, dat je al snel koude frietjes eet. De meeste mensen lieten ook eten staan, jammer van de verspilling. Als je samen 1 portie wil delen, betaal je € 4 voor een extra bord met bestek. Ik ben er niet zo enthousiast over, ik zou liever een kleinere portie zien voor een lagere prijs. Onder onze berg friet zat nog wat kipsaté, maar die was ook niet bijzonder. De mayo zat in een slap papieren bakje met veel vouwtjes, lastig om de saus eruit te schrapen. De bediening was prima en de locatie is ook mooi.

Afgelopen donderdag gebeld om te reserveren voor mij mijn dochter en een goede vriend en onze 2 teckeltjes ja honden waren welkom op t terras Maar reserveren kon niet voor het terras werdt mij verteld .voor binnen wel maar dan konden de hondjes niet mee Ik moest dus even kijken op de dag zelf of er plek was op het terras Ik nog gezegd tot zaterdag . Kreeg terug tot zaterdag mevrouw Zaterdag 27-8-2022 komen wij daar rond half 6 aan het terras zag er leeg uit ik vraag aan de desbetreffende dame of er een tafel is voor 3 personen en 2 hondjes buiten . De dame verteld mij dat ik had moeten reserveren ik vertel haar dat dat niet kon op het terras en dat wij niet binnen konden zitten ivm de hondjes Toen vertelde ze me dat de plekken buiten vrij werden gehouden voor de mensen die gereserveerd hadden En dat ze geen plek hadden Maar dat ze hoopte dat we nog een keer terug kwamen Nou zuiderklipper naar de eerste keer bij jullie gegeten te hebben en erg lang op ons eten gewacht te hebben . De tweede keer was wel ok . Maar nu dit zien jullie ons nooit meer daar Wij zoeken wel een ander restaurant met steppe gras en duidelijker personeel wat zijn eigen regels wel weet Overigens nog heerlijk gegeten bij een nette cafetaria met zit plek buiten waar we zeer goed ontvangen werden en heerlijk fish en chips gegeten hebben ook in Drimmelen
