It was a successful meal and an intensely lovely and cozy evening, and definitely worth repeating! So we will be back!!!

Restaurant de Zuiderklip in the harbor of Drimmelen is highly recommended for a delicious dinner after a day of boating in the Biesbosch! The waitresses are very friendly and helpful; they neatly explained to us how ordering via the tablet works. That works really well, especially because there is a clear photo with every dish. I ordered a bitter lemon and the schnitzel with gypsy sauce and steppe grass. Tip: have the steppe grass served in a separate small bowl, so you don't have to dig for your schnitzel! The food tasted delicious. It is really a huge amount, but I managed to eat everything — and that even earned me a certificate! We had a fantastic evening and will definitely be back.

We ate at Zuiderklip today. The food was tasty, the price was great, and it was a real experience. Besides all that, compliments that we also personally passed on to all the staff; many hospitality businesses could learn from this. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, just really top-notch. It has been a long time since I witnessed this in a hospitality establishment. At most places, the staff works for their salary, which they also radiate; here, of course, it is no different, but with passion. Once again, our compliments 💯

Lured by the pictures, we went here to eat. We were seated very close together, even though there were plenty of seats available. We ordered via tablet, which wasn't bad. The drinks arrived very quickly, which was great. The food was okay, not quite as good as we had expected. Unfortunately, the fries were dripping with grease. The price was reasonable.

We traveled all the way from Dordrecht here yesterday specifically for this, and it was definitely worth it. The restaurant's location was fantastic; ordering via an iPad (where you could also see photos of the dishes) was truly ideal!! The food itself was very tasty, the prices are great, and you are guaranteed to go home full with how big the portions are haha! :-) Highly recommended, and you will probably see us back again; it is totally worth the 40+ minute drive.

The food was definitely too much. I'm a really good eater, but you practically had to search for the schnitzel under all the fries. The pile was just too big. Ordering only via a screen seems a bit too modern and impersonal to me. But I guess that's the way the world is these days. All in all, worth a stop.

You are sitting in an aquarium, but the service is good, the meat is well-done and tasty, and the steppe grass is... steppe grass.

Nice location, but parking is difficult. The food is otherwise good and the app is also fun for the kids. The dessert is of slightly lower quality (it is soft serve). Finally, my compliments to the staff.

I ate Steppergras for the first time and it was very tasty. My husband had beef tenderloin tips that were very good and delicious. I had pork tenderloin myself, which I had ordered medium and was unfortunately overcooked. But it still tasted good. Two ladies brought around the food and drinks that you had ordered via tablet. It took a very long time before we finally received our meal. I also heard other tables complaining about the long wait. The service was friendly and professional. Seating with a nice view over the water. There is also the opportunity to sit outside. The price was not expensive at all. We ate together, had 3 drinks per person, and only spent 83 euros.

I ate here yesterday after a long time, or so I thought, because I've had better food here on previous occasions. The fries were very greasy, and even though I ordered a medium-rare steak, it was practically overcooked and tough. The staff is super friendly and the location is great; there is always something to see.

Very bad!! Old, stale stew (I think fried 3 times!) Rock hard! They also saw right in front of us that a lot went back into the kitchen! That we were served reheated! Goulash, 2 small pieces! Otherwise just sauce! Ordered that twice, 41.- scandalous!! And then they say: you should have complained earlier! Even though when it was on the table they ask: Is everything to your liking? But after that, no one looks at you anymore! For us and our guests NEVER again! Service 0.0..

I went out for dinner here on Sunday, June 7th, with my mother and father, and all three of us got sick from it. We had severe stomach pain, which has left me sick in bed. My mother sent an email about this, and in it, they said that it “really isn't our fault, but there is a stomach flu going around,” which is quite strange because our symptoms started immediately on the way back home. The staff, on the other hand, were very nice; that wasn't the issue.

What a food waste this is!! You get a mountain of slop that no normal person can finish; I had a kids' menu but it was enough for 2 adults! It's veeeery awkward eating because your meat is under the mountain of slop; I threw half of it onto my partner's plate because otherwise I couldn't get to my chicken nuggets🤷‍♀️ I told the wait staff, "You must be throwing a lot away," and she said, "Yes, nobody can finish it🤦‍♀️" Isn't that a terrible waste???? Service is via a tablet; I don't find that very convenient and it feels impersonal.

Please note. The menu states that they have vegetarian dishes. Upon inquiry, it turns out that the fries are fried in half beef fat and half vegetable oil. So, definitely not vegetarian.

Ate here today. The meat was excellent, more than enough, nothing to complain about. The steppe grass, on the other hand, wasn't as good. I've had it before in Belgium, and the steppe grass there was thicker. Here, it was cooked really thin and quite hard. It felt more like a bag of chips. You couldn't pick it up with a fork because it was too thin and hard. Otherwise, it tasted good. I think the restaurant should take it more as advice than criticism. Otherwise, no complaints. The location is also great, and I'll definitely come back here again.

Cozy restaurant. Steppe grass was good. The spareribs were good. One downside: It was quite quiet in terms of table occupancy. And everyone was placed in a corner of the room. The war room didn't spread out when 70% of the tables were empty. So, it was a bit crowded. I think that's a downside.

I've eaten at this restaurant before, but this time it wasn't as good. The steppe grass was hard. It tasted more like French fries and chips. I couldn't have eaten it with a fork when it was so hard. And the steak was a bit tough. A shame, because usually everything is really good.

If you're looking for something different to eat, this is a great place. You can eat steppe grass here. The staff is super friendly and the portions are huge...and delicious too. We'd love to come back again when we're in the area.

Not recommended. We sent the schnitzel back because it was overcooked. The second time wasn't much better either. The steak strips were very tasteless, cold, and well-done instead of medium. The "stappegras" itself was also overcooked. We reported it to the staff, but they didn't offer an apology or anything to make up for the inconvenience.

Original concept. Steppe grass can be served loose in a bowl or piled high on top of your meat. Portions are generous. Ordering via a tablet isn't very personal, but the service is helpful. You won't have to wait long for your food.

Well, Steppegras, I had imagined something different. Expectations were quite high, but what was served was nothing more than good. Tasty, but not simple and not a highlight. One person asked for a rare steak, but got medium. "The chef can't guarantee anything," they said beforehand. Basically a glorified chip shop with chunks of steak or satay instead of a croquette or frikandel. It was cold inside, we were under the air conditioning, and outside the view of the river, the decor and atmosphere were chilly. You order via a tablet, and your drinks are on the table in no time. It was nice to have eaten Steppegras once, but I don't think they'll see me again.

We had a wonderful meal again as always, the food was very tasty as always and the waiters who work there were friendly, we will be back soon

Good food, 3 sizes, a bit more expensive than a “snack bar”. Enter orders on a tablet.

Satay was not very special and the spareribs a bit dry. Bread with spreads was fine. Staff was very friendly. We asked for regular fries and they were very tasty. Whether we ever go again, I don't think so from a price point of view, certainly not expensive.

It was our first time. The range and price and the food itself was fine. The staff super friendly. But it took a really long time before we got the food. Waited more than an hour and 25 minutes for an ice cream. It is a small restaurant, it was full, but waiting more than an hour for the food is not normal. Drinks also arrived within 5 minutes. You order with a tablet, but apparently if you order the small Schnitzel you can only order from the staff. They should mention that because before we found out we were also 30 minutes further away. I don't know if I'll ever eat there again. A nice cozy tent.

Had a nice meal there. It was a large plate of meat and fries, the soup was also very tasty and the staff was friendly, we didn't have to wait long and it was cozy on the water. Definitely worth repeating.

Delicious food, more than enough, even with the normal portion

It was the first time. I chose the satay. 1 stick and a bowl of steppe grass. We had to share the salad, a soup bowl size, with 5 people. Was it worth the money? Not for me. My husband chose D.o.m coffee for dessert. he got it without whipped cream. When we asked about it, we were sorry, the staff member didn't know that. We will take 50 cents off the bill. I was amazed. A new coffee miss would have been a better option for a good review.

Went here for dinner on spec with our partner. It was my first time but I really enjoyed it, nice and friendly staff, delicious food and a beautiful view.

The steppe grass was way too greasy, completely engorged as if the frying fat was not replaced often enough or was not at the right temperature. Schnitzel wasn't great either. Unfortunately we won't be coming back here again.

1st and last time for us. Everything is very focused on money. Nothing is service or standard. Adults who are not very hungry are told not to take a child's portion (just take a more expensive, larger meal), or they are asked to ask for an extra plate for 4 euros! “These are the rules” Little meat, no vegetables, just a meager salad for 6 people, fries are a bit hard-fried. Prices are high for what you get. For that money you would be better off eating somewhere else. Staff is not open to tips and improvements. Unfortunately for us this will not be repeated.

Super friendly staff, food was on the table quickly, it just wasn't tasty. It is more of a canteen than a restaurant. On the way home we had to stop for the toilet!

Always tasty and we always eat too much

Service was really super friendly! But boy, having a normal conversation with my table companions was not an option. It seemed like we were in a restaurant with 200 people, as much noise as there was. I think the prices are on the high side for what you get. You get a lump of fries with a stick of satay hidden underneath, with almost no satay sauce to be found. Meat was ok but not something to go back for. Also found the fries very greasy. Plus a small bowl of salad to share with 5 people. I think you have to really love fries and like the concept. When serving, some of the fries fell on my lap, so the plates were completely full. Not worth going again for me.

28-07-2024 Upon arrival we were immediately helped and given a table, great! 👍 The lady asked if we were familiar with ordering via the tablet, I said 'yes, we have been here before, but how can I choose the sauce separately 🤷🏼‍♀️' That was never clear in the previous times when ordering via the tablet... The lady says: then you have to choose "No sauce" and then order it separately.. So I opted for 'no sauce' and ordered the sauce separately... When I look at the receipt afterwards, €5.90 has been charged for 2x sauce that is normally included in the price of the dishes 🤬 Beef tenderloin tips were impossible to cut, so tough... Drinking: Very little alcohol + no ice in the glass (or immediately thawed) + no lemon/lime 🤷🏼‍♀️ Ice can no longer be ordered via the tablet, but it used to be possible. These are all small things, but all together it's just pretty bad for that amount of money...

Steppengras with chicken piripiri tastes good, as does the chicken satay, which is nice on the water

Een electronisch bestel systeem wat niet echt nerd proof is. Probeer een van een portie friet een grote te maken. Lukt zelfs de bediening niet. Twee kleine eters aan tafel. Delen kan niet. Kost je €4 extra. We hebben de drank afgerekend en weg wezen. Het is schandalig.

Had dinner here last Thursday with 5 adults and 2 children. The children were immediately given pencils to color and it was the oldest's birthday. He was allowed to make his own ice cream, which he really enjoyed. The waitress did everything she could to ensure the children had a good time, compliments to her!

Never had steppe grass before. Nice for once, not really my thing. The rest of the food was reasonable to good. Meat didn't have the wow factor. It's actually just a fancier chip shop, which by the way has everything well organized. Nice place, great terrace, very friendly staff, highly recommended for a meal.

De 1ste schnitzel was van beide rauw. Nieuwe gekregen. 2de was van mij ook nog een stukje rauw. Mijn vriend en ik zijn heel de nacht ziek geweest. Er is geen compensatie geweest van een drankje of korting. Wat een feestelijke avond had moeten worden werd een nachtmerrie. Ik hoop nog van u te horen want een hele nacht ziek zijn voor €55 vind ik toch veel geld. Tot op heden geen terugkoppeling gekregen.

Friends of ours invited us because they loved it here. We liked it for once, but we were disappointed that you got so little meat. A huge mountain of fries that were nice and thin, but there were only a few pieces of meat underneath, which honestly tasted good, a pity that there were no vegetables. Only a small bowl of lettuce for 6 people together. There could also be more choice for dessert. Friendly service.

Beste steppegrasrestaurant van Nederland. Wij rijden hier regelmatig 3 kwartier voor om lekker te gaan eten. Service is top, vriendelijke en snelle bediening. Voor degene die geen steppegras wil, is er op verzoek ook heerlijke dikke friet te bestellen.
