Waited a bit too long, order arrived incorrectly. Expected more for the price you pay.

Terrible, we waited half an hour for a tuna sandwich and a brie sandwich. They had literally slapped a can of tuna onto a stale roll and no sauce, onion, or salt and pepper. The brie wasn't cooked properly and was served on dry bread. We told them it didn't taste good, and they reacted very rudely. Never again, especially not at those prices!

We wanted to ask for a bite of ice cream and they immediately told us we couldn't have it. Very poor service, not recommended.

My child wanted to try an ice cream and the man at the ice cream counter rejected it and scolded my child in a very antisocial and rude manner.

New owner, new cake, inedible. Old carrot cake. Way too dry, crumbles. This place used to be known for its carrot cake, but unfortunately, it's not anymore. My girlfriend got diarrhea. Never again!

No wifi. We’re sitting here (4 persons) and 2 of us decided not to get anything because honestly it doesn’t seem tasty. We decided to play “UNO” (the card game) and someone from the staff tell us we need to go because only 2 people are having drinks, the place is not even full.

I was there on a weekday so it wasn't full. Service was nice, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a latte, both tasted good.

The old lady at the counter need to retire or take a few days off, because it feels like you re disturbing her from her slumber when you ask for something. after waiting in line for ice cream at the kasa line, she told me to go the other line, then proceeded to serve someone who was behind me, all the while behaving like a grumpy old woman. a shame that a restaurant in such location is plagued by the mood swing of an old h*g

The older lady was very unwelcoming. We were trying to find a table and she came twice and told us that it’s full even when there were a few spots open. Even if those seats were reserved, the general attitude at such cafes is very welcoming where the staff tries to make room and at least ask you to wait a bit for table to get free but this lady gave us the impression like she wanted us out. Not a great experience.

The service was friendly, the sausage roll was tasty, but not as we'd expect, and we wouldn't return. The coffee was good, and the seating in the gallery was nice, so you could watch the passersby...

One of the employees was quite rude to me. At first she said that there were no seats available. But when I placed an order for take-out at the cash register, she reacted a bit angrily and told me to just sit down, because an employee would take my order.

Staff prefers not to help anyone and everything is too much to ask, management only complains among themselves. But also for hygiene you should definitely not be here!! Products do not have stickers with expiration date so it is possible that your tuna salad sandwich is already a week old.. Frying fat is also changed once a month with luck and in between the pan itself is never cleaned. The cutting board on which all the sandwiches are made is NEVER cleaned! Mice are regular guests in the kitchen and washing hands is something that staff does not like to do. Blenders are only rinsed here and are therefore yellow from all the old juice, smoothies therefore come with years old residual juice. All in all this is a terrible place and it is unbelievable that it is still allowed to stay open!!

Not even worth a star because of the unfriendliness. We just came from De volkslust in de Heuvel. The place was almost empty. We were so looking forward to something tasty. 2 young ladies working there. I kindly asked if I could move a chair to the cozy seats. That was not allowed because of the moving policy...this can be said in a friendly way! And this while the place was empty. Never again unfortunately.

I had an unpleasant experience at this place due to the unfriendly behavior of the staff. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and kindness, but this was not the case. I do not recommend this place at all.

Tasty lunch, nice terrace outside and very friendly staff, especially that little girl! Definitely come back for lunch and coffee!

It doesn’t have to be that hard to eat an ice cream and a cake. But we failed. We could only get ice cream since you have to get it from another station not via service. Cake was just a dream that i was hoping for 25 mins somebody will help me to order. I was gicen hope by a service lady severel times with the words “een momentje” but it was hopeless

I had lunch at De Volkslust yesterday. A salmon salad. A very large plate with only arugula lettuce on it. Less than half an ounce of pieces of salmon on it. Unbelievable how little. I reported it. This man told me to pass it in the kitchen. Haven't heard anything since. 15 euros thrown in the bin. Big shame.

Poor service and unfriendly staff.

We sit at a table, when asked the bill, they ask you to stand after a long ice cream line to pay. OK, we can wait, but while we wait, they had someone pay without waiting the line. No sorry or explanation. Rude waitresses and poor service. Stay away.

Went with my elderly parents because they had to go to the toilet. They asked a euro per person for elderly people who have difficulty keeping their needs down. Just ridiculous. Don't mind if you charge money for the toilet without consumption, but one euro is already ridiculously high, especially for the elderly. I won't try eating there!

Drink coffee quietly. Tasty healthy sandwich. And good friendly service

A 3-year-old child who really needs to pee is sent away by the bald gentleman. A pity. Then just eat somewhere else

Are you considering coming to work here? I would definitely recommend Volkslust. Nice, sweet colleagues, manager and boss. I always enjoy coming to work and have some free evenings.

Worthless. Please skip this place, there are so many other nice places in Eindhoven! I got half a slice of pineapple on my Hawaiian toast. Unfortunately, nothing could be done because “that's how the boss decided, but we will pass it on.”

Nog nooit zo’n spijt gehad ergens m’n geld aan uit te hebben gegeven. Die “gastvrouw” is eng. We hebben lang moeten wachten op t eten. Mensen later binnen dan wij hadden hetzelfde besteld en kregen t eerder. Ze waren het duidelijk vergeten en dat kan maar als je ernaar vraagt krijg je enkel n arrogante blik en vervolgens binnen 5 min was t er wel? Geen excuses vanuit personeel. Maar echt niet te pruimen. Klef saucijzenbroodje en n half gaar pizza broodje. Daarna afrekenen, dat wilden we apart van elkaar (niks geks lijkt me) nou nou wederom die “gastvrouw” ronduit onvriendelijk en vervolgens over ons praten met haar personeel, zal geen vriendelijke praat geweest zijn. Meid effe n tip: ga alsjeblieft ander werk zoeken en sluit die walgelijke zaak van je. Maar eerst effe n cursusje ‘hoe ga ik normaal om met mensen’

The staff was very friendly. Here you can enjoy the view and the shoppers walking by while you eat and drink something tasty. Excellent coffee and delicious pastries. 'Early in the morning it is very cold in space...

Delicious food, very nice that this is located in De Heuvel

Ordered a cappuccino, received a coffee with a thin transparent layer of foam that disappeared after stirring once. Of course something can go wrong, we are all human. When paying, kindly indicate that the cappuccino was not quite as expected and the owner did not respond to this at all.. too bad! It feels like they don't take the opinions of guests seriously and it doesn't matter whether you come back again.

Very unfriendly staff. You don't feel welcome at all. It seems too much for them to serve you.

We are not allowed in for the third time in a row. A bald man works there who keeps telling us in a very unfriendly manner that there is no room for us, even though there were tables available. If there is no room, okay, but the point is that this is said really unfriendly. Oh well, then we won't come again. There are plenty of other things where we are welcome.

Worthless staff. Very unfriendly and grumpy owner. Complaining to customers that he is busy. The toilet had not been cleaned in days. They will never see us here again.

I found the food disappointing, it was bland. And I got an egg with 1 small slice of bread, which could have been 2 for 13 euros. The latte tasted like warm milk. And the next day I never had a big cold sore again, so the man at the counter wasn't the happiest either

Absolutely amazing food and service. The latte macchiato was fantastic and even a simple omelette was hearty and perfectly seasoned.

Na een dagje winkelen voor een drankje en stukje taart hier gaan zitten. Blueberry cheesecake en chocolade taart besteld. Bestelling werd gebracht mijn dochter nam een hap toen kwam de manager met de mededeling dat het de verkeerde cheese Cake was en werd de vraag gesteld of er al een hap genomen was. Mij dochter antwoorden met Ja en kreeg toen het verwijt dat ze dat niet had mogen doen en dat ze de taart nu moesten weg gooien. Echt belachelijk, zelf een fout maken dan boos worden op een kind. Wij gaan hier in ieder geval nooit meer naar toe. Taart was ook niet lekker en te duur.

Lekker soepie gegeten met stukjes brood. Goed op temperatuur. Vriendelijke bediening. Aanrader Vandaag,9 maart,weer eens gaan lunchen. 2 tomatensoep á € 8,50(slik) 2 stokbroodje gezond á €9,45(slik,slik) 2 drankjes, ik dacht zo rond de € 4,00. Zo ben je al gauw een hoop geld kwijt maar........het was wel lekker,mits je sterk genoeg bent om het stokbrood te snijden. Bediening ook vriendelijk.

Mediocrity with an attitude: Empty place. During the whole time, I sat here (over an hour - as it takes a long time to eat after bariatric surgery), three tables occupied. Peace and Quiet. Also close to where I need to be. I had a few last-minute updates to documents and get some emails off. Ideal, idyllic? Well no. The omelet was ok, towards mediocre, the coffee was good(ish). Nothing exceptional except the restfulness - I could get some work done in. With no policies at the door, on the website or I'm the menu, I was a little surprised when I was repromanded for opening my laptop. Apparently they have a no laptop policy from 12:00 in the morning. Weird! A non publicly visible policy being enforced. Well if the place was full and they needed the table sure I get it: you want to turn the tables. Or if I was on a phone call or sitting in a zoom call etc. But I am sitting in the back. Out of view of most and yet, pounced on for opening my laptop. Weird weird weird. Not in the mood for a protracted discourse on publicly displaying policies etc. Well this a place I won't recommend in a hurry, or come back to. I am off to find a cafe without a “no laptop” policy!

This café is located in the indoor shopping area, but doesn’t open until 10 am. We had a coffee and a green tea on the “outside” terrace.

Heel vreselijk hun moeder hiervoor ten eerste was die service laat en traag en drie vrouw snapte niks. Het eten is walgelijk. Je vraagt een Croque monsieur en je krijg bruin brood met duizend soorten kaas op?! geen aanrader!

Ik ben het niet eens met de lage waardering die ze op Google hebben. Wij hebben hier lekker gezeten en wat gedronken maar ook de nacho’s uit de oven gegeten. De nacho’s waren ondanks dat ze vegetarisch waren echt ontzettend lekker. De nacho’s zaten in een schaal met meer dan voldoende verschillende soorten gesmolten kaas, lekkere verse tomatensalsa en rucola sla er bovenop. Naast de schaal nog twee schaaltjes met guacamole en crème fraiche. Ook de bediening was erg accuraat en vriendelijk. Hier ga ik zeker vaker zitten.

Vriendelijke bediening, maar € 3 voor een koffie vind ik te duur.

Lekker gegeten. Landbrood gezond en een aarbei smoothy. Voor de kids een broodje kroket. Bediening vriendelijk en er werd gezegd dat het bereiden van de kroket even kon duren. Als verbeterpunt zie ik dat er alleen bruin landbrood is. De kinderen hebben liever een witte broodsoort, zeker voor een broodje kroket.

I always come here for the ice cream because the flavors are sooo good! It's creamy and has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. This is one of my favorite places to go to for an ice cream.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. De nachos waren lekker met prima guacamole en goede kaas erop. Cappuccino was lekker heet en smaakte goed.

Met oog op een lichte lunch twijfelden mijn mama en ik niet om hier een plaatsje op het terras in te nemen toen we de Heuvel Galerie binnen wandelden. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Lekker en mooi gepresenteerd slaatje.

Wat een mooie ervaring hier gehad, het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk. Over het eten was het in 1 woord geweldig, fijne prijs kwaliteit voor wat je krijgt! Zeker de moeite waard!

We hebben best lekker geluncht. De ober gaf netjes aan dat het wel een half uur kan duren vanwege drukte in de keuken. Na 45 min kregen we het eten. De poulet rotti of wel kippendijenfilet was er lekker. De brie met walnoten was helaas wat minder. We vonden de brie niet erg goed smaken. Smootie kwam in een best groot glas. Al met al best lekker gegeten voor een nette prijs. Porties zijn ook groot genoeg

Beter dan dit kan niet! Gezellige sfeer, leuke en hardwerkende medewerkers. Tent ziet er erg verzorgd en mooi uit. Eten is heerlijk. En de taart is fenomenaal. Zeker een aanrader! 100 sterren waard

Service is hier helemaal in order. Had hier de burger besteld en in no time gekregen. Bij de burger zat Mayo en Vlaamse friet in begrepen en natuurlijk wat sla voor erbij. Het broodje rond de burger was krokant waardoor het makkelijk door midden te snijden was. Hierdoor was de binnenkant goed zichtbaar en zag je dat de burger goed mals van binnen was. De saus van de burger, de gekonfijte ui en de kaas zorgde ervoor dat de burger een geweldige smaak had gekregen. Ik heb hier dan ook een mooie ervaring aan overgehouden en zal ik zeker terug komen

Grote Latte Macchiato voor 3,75. Helaas slap van smaak en wat nog erger was lauw....! Niet lekker. Sorry maar koffie behoort warm te zijn. HIer had ik meer van verwacht.

This place has been my go-to cafe since I moved to Eindhoven. I’ve come here so many times, I’ve eaten here lunch, dessert, shave had coffees, beers, wines. Well, I love this place and naturally I bring anyone whose with me while in Heuvel shopping center. Must try: dirty chai latte and carrot cake 🥕

Vandaag maar eens alleen voor de koffie en thee met gebak gegaan nadat de laatste 2 keer(recentelijk) de lunch echt was tegen gevallen en het ook behoorlijk prijzig is. Het gebak was lekker, dat is absoluut een aanrader, maar qua thee was er nagenoeg niets te kiezen en wederom zijn de prijzen niet in verhouding met wat je ervoor krijgt. Helaas voor ons nu echt de laatste keer dat we deze locatie bezocht hebben..

Prima menu keuzes, zeer smakelijk eten en vriendelijke bediening.

Vriendelijke en snelle serveerster. Onze lunch was erg lekker en meer dan verwacht. Een warme chocolade melk zoals hier heb ik nog niet eerder gehad, zo lekker. Een echte aanrader voor wie lekker wilt lunchen voor een super prijsje!
