Had a very nice and enjoyable meal with Ben!

Substandard for the price. The price-quality ratio is severely lacking. First, we had to wait a long time to get a drink, and then we sat waiting for a while with a closed menu until our order was taken. And after a long time and more than one option, I had to ask myself if I could order another drink. We ordered a 5-course menu. The amuse-bouche was tasty. It did take a long time before anything appeared on the table. Then a basket of bread finally arrived, followed fairly quickly by the starter. They should have brought the bread in advance while we were sitting there waiting all that time. The starter was delicious. The intermediate course was also very good, but it was followed by a total imbalance of 3 heavy, slow-cooked meat/gravy dishes. All delicious, but not 3 in a row. 1 delicious, 2 okay, but 3 of these heavy dishes is really too much and too heavy. We also felt these were dishes more suited for autumn/winter. We could not understand this imbalance in the menu. The salad had way too much acid/dressing on it; a waste. Also, things were regularly placed on the table without a word or cleared away without a word. The dessert was extremely sour; you really have to like that. My wife liked it, I didn't. Perhaps the surprise menu isn't such a good idea if you're dining here. If you're not into wine, you'll be shortchanged: a few 'specialty' beers only in bottles and from a stone-cold cooler. They were served in a rinsed glass, admittedly, but with a layer of water still in it. The service clearly couldn't handle it; at the beginning of the evening, but also later in the evening when there were few guests, they made many mistakes. Another example: the unused wine glasses weren't removed from the table until the 3rd course, while unused water glasses remained on the table all evening. Tables around us were only half-cleared, which made the whole thing very messy. The salt shaker was removed from the table before dessert, but placed in a visible spot—in the middle of the room on a cabinet—along with about 7 other salt shakers. No idea why. As for the decor, it looks good at first glance, but the details are lacking, such as the cheap-looking canvas prints, the laminated A4 sheet with a request for a dishwasher in the restroom, and the grey ceiling on grey chairs and grey suits—it feels a bit cold. There are fresh flowers on a cabinet, but not on the table in the summer. The details just don't quite make the cut. And this is all based on a price of 72 euros for a 5-course menu; in total, we spent about 180 euros for 2 people. For this price, it really has to be good, and unfortunately, in our case, it wasn't.

What a lovely place! And the food is possibly even better than the atmosphere. The chef and the owner have truly created a little paradise!

We enjoyed an eight-course dinner with paired wine. The whole evening was perfect, nothing to complain about; delicious dishes and wines perfectly matched. The service is very friendly and there is a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended, had a wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, a real treat!

What a wonderful afternoon we had here. Everything served was a true work of art, and the flavors were truly fantastic. I found the appetizer presented in a real birch log to be an incredibly creative and original touch. It gave the entire experience a very unique character. We really enjoyed the care and attention that went into every dish. We will certainly be back here soon.

The food is really good, worth mentioning that dessert was the highlight of the evening. The place is in the middle of the woods which also makes a really cosy and unique experience. The only thing I did not enjoy was the waiting time, the whole experience took almost 4h and I was not expecting to spend that much time on the restaurant, but everything else was amazing

The food is good and the service is too. Nice establishment. The owner is a cold woman; she can barely manage a smile. And if she does smile, it is so fake! We visit fairly regularly, and every time we get that cold look from her. We have never had a drink on the house after spending certainly thousands of euros. It’s been enough. We are going elsewhere!

Had a very lovely evening at this nice spot. On the full terrace among the trees, sheltered and with a pleasant buzz, without the noise being too distracting. Visible attention to etiquette from the restaurant through the choice of materials and colors. The option to dine in style (up to 8 courses) but also just a (reasonably) affordable main course as an option. Many guests, just like us, were dressed casually, yet the allure of the place was preserved. Attentive service where it is palpable in their approach that you haven't just sat down at a random eatery.

Had a lovely meal at De Witte Gans. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed — exactly the kind of place where you can easily linger for a few hours. Good, accessible dishes and a relaxed setting that feels good right away. In short: unpretentious enjoyment at a lovely spot.

Upon entering, there was no "good evening," but a curt reply asking under which name we had reserved. When we sat down at the table, a young lady came over who was extremely friendly and interested. Unfortunately, she was the only one. As an aperitif, a delicious prosecco. And soon, some bread with tasty spreads was placed on the table. But to our surprise, the starter arrived immediately as well. "Uh, sorry, I'm still eating my prosecco and bread." The answer: "We always serve that right away." Very strange. The spread consisted of chive butter, aioli, and a spicy crunch. The starter was a delicious fish terrine with soft, delicate flavors, but the spreads overpowered the taste of the terrine. A real shame. And I would have liked to have a wine pairing with it, but that went completely wrong because I was still drinking prosecco. Furthermore, they could certainly use some training in customer friendliness and hospitality. After paying the bill, they didn't even walk you out to see you off. It is a real shame because the food was very good, a solid pass mark, but where the customer friendliness/hospitality of the staff fell far short, it didn't turn out to be a great evening for us. I was here recently. I wanted a mojito. They didn't have one. Okay, so I ordered a gin and tonic for €9. After 30 minutes, a glass of water suddenly arrived. That was the mojito. Or their interpretation of it. I didn't even take a sip because I knew it wouldn't be good. Any self-employed restaurant wouldn't have calculated this, because I hadn't ordered it. But not the White Swans. No. A mojito is incredibly simple to make. You take mint with some sugar (or syrup), lime juice, and some good white rum, and you "muddle" it—just mash the mint a bit to bring out the flavor. Then you fill the glass FULL with ice. Then you fill it with soda water or mineral water, if necessary. With a long cocktail spoon, stir it well. Garnish with a mint leaf and, if desired, a lime wedge. Is that so difficult?? I mean, they could have seen it on YouTube. Next time I'll talk about all the other things they did wrong and the "Checkpadding".

Nice, quite large restaurant. We sat cozily by the fireplace. Had the BiB menu. Amuse-bouche okay, too bad about the chips... Bread, butter, etc. very tasty. Starter beautiful, tasty, top-notch. Fish main course good. Meat main course beautiful and top-notch. Dessert simple, wasn't mousse but very thick, heavy whipped cream... too bad.. The time between all the amuse-bouche dishes on the menu was very long. Stayed 2.5 hours for 3 courses. So good, but could be better.

Beautiful location and atmospheric restaurant with very attentive, efficient service. The dishes were beautiful to look at and delicious. A feast for the eyes and taste buds. We had a very enjoyable afternoon with friends. Definitely worth repeating.

We had a delicious 8-course dinner. The food was generally very good. A few things weren't to my taste, but that's to be expected. We were seated quite close to the kitchen, but that didn't bother us. The staff couldn't tell us much about the wines served with the courses, which is definitely something to improve on.

Really, really good. We drive here from Zwolle a few times a year. We've been doing it for years and have never been disappointed.

We ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed the 8-course surprise menu. It was truly delicious. Each dish had different ingredients and was beautifully prepared. The service and atmosphere were excellent. My boyfriend even received a small gift for his birthday. We will definitely be back.

After many years, Restaurant de Witte Gans is still the restaurant where we prefer to eat. The team is very friendly and knowledgeable! The delicious and very tasty (seasonal) dishes look like a beautiful work of art and are served with great care and attention. A culinary feast again and again! We are already looking forward to our next appointment in this beautiful restaurant!

Bonne nourriture mais un temps d'attente insupportable qui a tout gâché. 20 minutes avant de recevoir le menu, une heure avant de recevoir l'entrée et 45 minutes de plus pour le plat principal alors que du personnel n'arrête pas d'aller et venir (mais où, je ne sais pas). Tellement désabusés, nous avons fait l'impasse sur le dessert et le café de peur de devoir y passer la nuit....assez étrangement l'addition n'a pas trainé ????

Beautiful place and delicious (vegetarian) food

Voor de 2e keer naar dit restaurant gegaan. Ditmaal met Pasen en met man- en zoonlief. Het was wederom fantastisch! Het restaurant zat vol maar ondanks de drukte één en al gezelligheid. Fijne huiselijke sfeer en vlotte bediening. Het eten is heerlijk, voldoende voor wat grotere eters en mooi opgemaakte borden. Broodjes erbij met heerlijke smeersels, niet standaard en een fijne amuse tussendoor. Top! Goed mals vlees en overheerlijk dessert. Mooie volle bijpassende rode huiswijn. Kortom, culinaire eten in een huiselijke ambiance en bijzonder goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Wij komen terug!

2x Coffee with a "glass of water" and a delicious waffle with strawberries. Damage 31.25 euros! But what a surprise. The glass of water was more expensive than the coffee. They have the nerve to put down "purified Dalfser tap water" (and this was literally stated on the bottle) and charge 3.50 EURO for it!! Just water from the tap!!! The coffee was "only" 3 EURO. Hence only 1 star. What scammers!!!!

Nothing to complain about the food, still of high quality. This review included a comment about sewer smell. The restaurant has been contacted. The cause appears to be externally caused. I therefore think it is right to adjust the review. Agreements have been made that next time this will be communicated proactively instead of passively. There was no proactive response to the fact that we had 3 courses with less pleasure. Would it have been smart of them to ask us again soon and, for example, give us a 'hall' as a gift? Or offer a drink? I find it difficult... but anyway... we spent ~ €120 pp and didn't enjoy the evening as much. To be clear: this is not whining! It was the way it was.

Never knew that a person can enter a state of silent trance through the taste of very well prepared food... that is what my wife and I experienced in the White Goose. This is culinary art that has become an art of taste! This is by far the best restaurant I have visited in the Netherlands! And that for a price that is more in line with that of a brasserie. I expect this jewel will soon become famous in the Netherlands. And the people behind this restaurant, especially the chefs, would have really deserved that! You can easily detour a hundred kilometers for this, you won't regret it at all! I would say: Treat yourself and your loved ones while it is still easy, before you have to make reservations three months in advance. This could well become a second Librije... But I hope they remain as accessible as they are now, while setting the bar so high for themselves!

Another one like that. With four stars I'm actually selling them short. But 5 is too generous. Delicious food, nice wine list. Large restaurant but still cozy due to the layout. The highlight of the evening was duck liver terine with smoked duck breast. Employees have to run fast to keep up with everything.

A beautiful restaurant reminiscent of a cozy inn. Fits perfectly into the landscape around it. The food is well prepared and well put together. Had dinner at De Witte Gans with a large group of colleagues, which was a special experience. Exquisite dishes, fast service and an excellent solution for colleagues who needed gluten-free or wanted vegetarian. I really thought a Michelin rating was appropriate there. Presumably they accidentally drove past your picturesque location. I would like to come there again from Hilversum. 👍

One of our favorite restaurants in Overijssel. Always successful, good food, tasty, service and atmosphere are fantastic. Our children aged 10 and 8 can also easily enjoy De Witte Gans.

The intention was to create an informal atmosphere and it certainly worked. The food was fantastic. Normally I don't like lif cowards, but this was out of the ordinary. Your taste buds were stimulated. 1 word Blessed. It is not a cheap restaurant, but oh what tasty products they use. Very friendly service and attentive to what the guest wants. The party was well prepared.

Heel mooie rustige plek. Vriendelijke bediening, we waren wat slonzigs na een boswandeling. Lekker gegeten. Goed advies gekregen ook voor wijn. Persoonlijk vond ik het kaasplankje nietzo. Beetje gewoontjes. De rest was heerlijk. En tja. Ik vind het altijd wat weinig groente. Maar smaak en zicht waren super.

You will come and sit on Sunday. Fortunately, the waiter told us that there was a private party at 4 p.m., but the owner did not reveal this. He suggested that part of the terrace was occupied at that time.

During our holiday in Lemelerveld we were looking for a good restaurant in the area. There are many options, but we wanted to eat somewhere that is of good quality, with vegetarian options and, above all, easy to digest because I was 7 months pregnant at the time. We found this restaurant via the Elle food website and were pleasantly surprised. We opted for the vegetarian surprise menu and it was really fantastic. Variation of flavors, no standard offering and therefore really surprising. The time between courses did indeed take a while and I read that some people found that annoying, but we actually found that pleasant. Don't be in such a hurry. A nice bonus was that we could sit outside that evening. In short, a restaurant where good food comes first in a non-prestigious atmosphere, where you quickly feel at ease for a good price.

De witte gans is mooi landelijk gelegen in de nabijheid van Dalfsen en Zwolle. Bij goed weer is er een prachtig terras voor te lunchen of te dineren. Op deze zondagmiddag in juli is het regenachtig en dus lunchen wij in het restaurant. Het restaurant is erg sfeervol en de tafels zijn luxe ingedekt, mooi! Wij starten met een heerlijke portie Iberico ham (€12,50.) van goede kwaliteit voor een zeer scherpe prijs. Ook de rendang kroketjes zijn zalig en met €8,- voor 8 kroketjes goedkoop! Daarnaast wordt nog een kleine amuse van het huis geserveerd. De keuze is er om ‘s middags te lunchen van de lunchkaart of te kiezen van de dinerkaart. Eén persoon in ons gezelschap kiest voor het lunchgerecht “boterhammen” met pastrami (€12,50). Dit blijkt een prachtig opgemaakt gerecht te zijn dat ook nog eens heerlijk smaakt. Het garnituur van Amsterdamse uitjes en vadouvan mayonaise smaken perfect bij de mooie pastrami. Van de dinerkaart komt de halve kreeft (€39,50) met fregola pasta, een bitterbal van kreeft, kreeftenjus, zeekraal en lamsoor. Ook dit gerecht is weer een plaatje om te zien. Ook smaaktechnisch is dit een perfect uitgebalanceerd en smaakvol gerecht! Klasse! De roodbaarsfilet (€34,50) krijgt mooie begeleiding van mosselen, een saffraan saus en erwten! Wederom een uitstekend gerecht! Bij het kopje koffie als afsluiting worden een paar heerlijke huisgemaakte friandises geserveerd! Ook de service verloopt vanmiddag prima en de bediening is erg vriendelijk. Wij kunnen niet anders dan concluderen dat de Bib Gourmand hier meer dan terecht is toegekend, net als de 14 punten door Gault Millau! Een toplaag in alle opzichten!

Google maps led us (my friend and I) via an adventurous dirt road to this restaurant, which we had spotted in the magazine Lekker 500. We drove into a beautiful leafy yard where we could park freely in the gravel. Inside, the restaurant felt like a warm, cozy inn. It was divided into two rooms, a large one and a smaller one that resembled a living room. We were accompanied by the hostess to the latter, where there were about 9 tables. We started with an offered bubbly (the usual revenue model, but the prosecco-rosé certainly tasted nice. We opted for the 4-course menu, where I indicated that I did not want meat but did want fish. No problem, they could respond to everything. The restaurant has a nice, quiet atmosphere with pleasant table service. Good dishes are prepared here, which are explained with knowledge, without the guest being overloaded with endless details or nonsense. We received the amuse on a bed of dried lentils (or something similar), topped with a baked cup filled with vegetables and cream, a festive and surprising snack. Afterwards we were served a base of pieces of salmon, flowery topped with shrimp, curled radish and various green herbs. Wonderfully fresh and sour taste, perfect in combination with the soft and slightly salty structure of the salmon. This was followed by a dish with two creamy scallops in pea cream, laced with samphire. Delicious! The main course consisted of tenderloin tournedos for my friend and grilled sea bass for me. And with fried potato fries with skin, to enjoy. The courses were delicious and colorfully served, on different plates and bowls, nice portions and together more than sufficient but not too lavish. Finally, the dessert: a slice of a terrine of various types of sorbet ice cream, covered with a layer of marzipan. As delicious as the latter was, marzipan is something that is a bit difficult to end with. And then we didn't even know that a number of delicious friandises were served with tea... We enjoyed all the dishes and would love to come back again. The menu design at De Witte Gans is flexible. We then opt for a simpler experience by ordering something a la cart. We are looking forward to!

As always very good. After a 10 km walk on the lemelerberg we had a light lunch. French fries, pata negra ham, Dutch cheese platter and a glas of white wine. Excellent as always.

It had been on our list for a while to eat and we are glad we went now. We chose the surprise menu including wines and it was delicious. Lots of different elements on the plate including local and seasonal products. Nice that they left the bottle of wine on the table so we could study the label, plus. It was a busy evening and therefore we sometimes had to wait a long time for a corridor, which was a downside but understandable. We had a great evening with good food and drinks.

Gezellig terras. Merendeel wandelaars die wat lekkers komen eten. Er zat ook een grote tafel onder het afdakje. Ondanks de wandelaars toch wel casual chique gelegenheid. Dus voor lunch met mijn Lief vond ik het erg geslaagd. Leuke bediening met een grapje. Heerlijk gegeten. De salade was voortreffelijk, de kaasplank ook. Voor een eerste keer buitenshuis lunchen op het terras in de ZON was het zeer geslaagd!! Ga zo door!

Great location, good atmosphere, delicious food

Het eten was heerlijk, mooie plek en goede sfeer. De bediening was echt minder en dat is toch jammer van zo’n avond. Alle begrip voor personeelstekorten maar als er meerdere dingen misgaan, hoor je er anders op te reageren richting je gasten. Gemiste kans.

Opnieuw langs geweest en alles klopte, eten was opnieuw heerlijk en ook het verrassingsmenu was de moeite waard. Dit keer werd ons glas wat nog niet leeg was ook niet meegenomen, dat scheelde ook natuurlijk. Eerste review: Al het eten was top, we hadden beide het bib gourmand menu. Als drinken bestelde ik ook een mocktail, deze vond ik, zeker gezien de prijs (€10,25), niet de moeite waard. Het enige minpunt was dat de bediening, tot twee keer toe, het glas van mijn vriendin meenam terwijl er nog drinken in zat. De eerste keer waren we nog snel genoeg om het aan te geven, de tweede keer was de ober al in de keuken voordat we het doorhadden.

Ceviche is geniaal en de coquilles zijn fantastisch, voortreffelijke ganzenleverpaté, crème brûlée om je vingers bij af te likken. Verrassingsmenu valt altijd super in de smaak. Voor een heerlijke avond gaan wij heel graag naar de Witte Gans.

Sfeervol restaurant. We kozen voor het driegangenmenu. Prachtig opgemaakte borden. Had het zelf fijn gevonden als er bij het uitserveren nog een kleine uitleg zou worden gegeven wat er precies op je bord ligt. Het personeel zou iets losser kunnen. Desalniettemin zeer smakelijk gegeten.

Heerlijk van smaak, ook als vegetariër ruime keuze. Ook geen standaard gerechten voor de vegetariër. Ook heerlijke vlees en vis gerechten, die goed op elkaar zijn afgestemd. fijne bediening en goede sfeer. Goede wijnen die passen bij het eten.

Genieten. We hebben een heerlijk verfijnde (grotendeels vegetarische) lunch gegeten. Bediening uiterst vriendelijk. Weinig op aan te merken!

Je word de hele avond culinaire verwend. Explosie van smaken. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding dik in orde. Heel vriendelijk personeel,die veel over je eten vertelde.

Natuurlijk is het eten belangrijk, dat was heerlijk. Drankjes mocht wel alerter opgelet worden, moesten wij zelf aangeven. Gezelschap maakte alles echter ruim goed voor ons.

Het is elke keer weer een feestje om hier te mogen eten. Prachtige gerechten, zorgvuldig en prachtig gepresenteerd, prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Geweldig restaurant fijne sfeer.

Een geweldig restaurant, heerlijk eten en erg vriendelijke bediening. Wensen worden zoveel mogelijk vervult of alternatief geboden. Echt Michelin waardig, naar mijn mening.
