We had a delicious meal. And the shared dining is great because it allows you to try something different than your own.

Hospitable, great food, surprised by the chef, and fast service. Cozy!

We enjoyed the surprise menu. It was indeed a pleasant surprise; the food was excellent and served very pleasantly, and our questions about the food were expertly answered. There weren't many guests, which may have diminished the atmosphere a bit, but the space is cozy.

We were a group of 33 people for my 75th birthday. It was fantastic, the food was delicious. We opted for the shared dining option, and the dishes were explained with each round. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was pleasant in the separate room to the left of the entrance, which was reserved for our group (it could have been curtained off, but we didn't). Special requests, such as gluten-free, were no problem, and the wine, beer, and sparkling wine were all 0% alcohol. The organization of the party beforehand went very well and was flexible, and adjustments were no problem. All in all, highly recommended!

Super delicious food. The atmosphere was great with the open kitchen. You order in rounds, but with larger portions than standard tapas. Two rounds plus dessert was easily enough for a big eater. Everyone gets individual plates so you can share everything. You simply order from the staff, so no hassle with tablets or anything.

The food was excellent, the service could have been better, and there were many errors in taking orders. It also took at least 45 minutes per round, otherwise a good restaurant.

This is the ideal concept for someone who has had gastric bypass surgery. Order one dish and eat it together. This way, there's no food waste! Enjoy delicious food, drinks, and above all, a wonderful experience!

We had a baby shower, which was very well organized. We decorated everything ourselves and had high tea, which was delicious and well-priced.

The quality of the shared dining dishes was variable. Our feedback on two dishes was unfortunately handled less than professionally. Everything was simply included on the bill. An unpleasant and unnecessary discussion ensued. It was a shame, and a missed opportunity for a satisfied customer.

Although I'm definitely not a fan of shared dining, we had a phenomenal meal. The fried parsnips were incredibly well-prepared, and the turbot and prawns were also excellent. The wait times were a bit long if you're with two people, which is a shame. You're tempted to order more expensive drinks.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Liv's. They were already thinking along with us during the preparations, and on the day itself they had decorated the room with our wishes and their own experience as a guideline. There was plenty of opportunity to add our own details, such as choice of music, coasters, etc. The staff was formidable: no guest was left dry without them becoming pushy. We had opted for a buffet, and on the evening itself we already received compliments about the food. The "allergy guests" were also served a full menu. For us it was really a crowning achievement for 25 years. We hope to celebrate another anniversary at Liv's again

During the May holiday we were here with 3 children, very nice. We had to wait a long time, but then there was only 1 waiter, who was very friendly and good. The food was fine, my meat excellent and the boys were enthusiastic. With a great dessert! Oh yes, ideal for smaller children, a play corner with loads of toys.

If I would remove a half star would be for the pornstar martini alcohol free, I had drink better before. But it s nothing compare to all the positive points exposed above ! This restaurant is really worth going to. We were kindly received by the owner and given a nice spot on the terrace. We drank delicious wine and cocktails and also had a very tasty meal. After a clear explanation, we opted for shared dining. We ordered 4 courses in total, and despite it being a quiet evening, everything was brought to our table with great pleasure. When it started to cool down a bit, we moved inside. This place is styled down to the last detail, everything is just right! A beautiful open kitchen, where all the delicacies were made for us with pleasure and care. We are fans! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back! Cheers!

We had made a reservation for 3:00 PM to have something to eat. We had called to see if we could also order from the Shared dining menu, but the answer was that they could not yet say whether the kitchen was ready for that. We were able to sit outside in the sun. We asked again if we could order from that menu, the answer was that the carpaccio still had to be cut and the sauces were not ready yet. We were able to order a carpaccio sandwich from the lunch menu. We thought that was a bit strange and a missed opportunity... (kitchen was deserted around 4:30 PM) Pokebowl was okay, tomatoes are not part of that and I don't think boiled carrots are either. Service was friendly.

Had dinner here with a good friend on Tuesday evening. We were looking for a nice restaurant in the middle of our hometown and ended up at Liv in Nieuwleusen. The map looked promising! The reservation via the website had not gone through, but there was only one table occupied, so I could choose a table myself (it is a fairly large restaurant, with a decent terrace outside). The music was a bit loud, so we chose a table that was not so close to the speakers. The furnishings are very tasteful. Service inexperienced, but friendly. We had a starter, main course, dessert and coffee. I had a really delicious meal, the venison steak (starter) and the salmon (main) were really perfectly cooked. My table companion thought the schnitzel was too salty, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about the quality of the food and the presentation of the dishes. The dessert (certainly not unimportant) was also really delicious. The open kitchen has the disadvantage that (especially if there is no one else in the restaurant) you hear everything that is said. After our main course, the waitress walked back to the kitchen with the message "They still want dessert", to which the chef replied "Too bad". Oh dear! That's really not possible. After not having spoken to each other live for months, we had a nice evening out and we really got the feeling that we actually had to leave. Then don't open the restaurant on a Tuesday evening when you are not waiting for guests. Although the latter was not so hospitable, I would come back again!

Restaurant Liv is a very nice restaurant with a good dinner menu. We had a delicious meal here! However, we were close to the entrance (in winter) so we suffered from cold winds. Apart from that small point, we had a nice evening!

Food is fine but unfortunately we had to wait a very long time. Waiting more than an hour for the main course is really unacceptable. The rest of the place settings also took a long time to arrive. Service is extremely friendly. The restaurant is spacious, has an open kitchen and a bar. We were asked to sit at a high table near the kitchen because of the crowds, but there appeared to be normal tables available during our visit. In itself, the high table was not a problem for us, but if you have difficulty walking, this is a challenge. Parking is available nearby.

Lunch: Good food, but portions too small.

Took the surprise menu on Boxing Day, it was very tasty. Service was good, every dish was discussed. It was busy, but not annoying.

We received a warm welcome and were brought to our place in a friendly manner. The food was delicious (share dining) and beautifully served. Everything was monitored closely and we were always asked if everything was satisfactory. Super friendly staff and cozy environment!! In short: very satisfied!!

We enjoyed the surprise menu at Shared Diner. It started with smaller, refined snacks that tasted special, followed by the hot dishes, all beautifully prepared with surprising ingredients. Finally, we were surprised with a beautiful and delicious dessert. In short, highly recommended! In addition, a big compliment to the hospitable and enthusiastic young employees in the service.

After making a reservation in time, I hoped for a nice evening, but that was disappointing. Upon entering it was chaos; the staff didn't seem to coordinate with each other and it took a long time before we could order our drinks. We had to wait an hour for our dishes, while the restaurant was only half full. The waitress tried her best and apologized to the table, but that didn't really help. The sharing dinner concept was not properly explained to us, which caused confusion. We also received frozen bread, which did not match expectations. Fortunately, the food we eventually got was tasty. All in all a mixed experience that did not quite meet expectations.

Chaos, it seemed as if they were open for the first time. Staff not attuned to each other. Waited an hour for a starter. The waitress did her best, but she was making excuses at every table, even though the restaurant was only half full. One had no cutlery, the other had well-done snitzel, and another couple only saw someone for a drink after fifteen minutes upon arrival, long waiting times. Food was not worth the money. Starter fine, main course mediocre. I make my salmon tastier at home and the tournedos was not worth the 35 euros. After the last bite we quickly left there. Interior fine, a bit dark but okay. Either my expectations were too high or this restaurant had a collective off-day, either way I won't be going there again for a while.

How wonderfully we (the six of us) enjoyed the shared dinner 4-course surprise menu!! We were positively surprised every course! We had initially opted for 5 courses, but with 4 courses we had eaten more than enough. And it was no problem to make it 4 courses. Thank you team Liv for a wonderful evening.

Nice wines and the food very good. We had the share dishes from the menu. Everything was tasty. Flavors well combined and beautifully presented plates. We call that eating paintings. So in our opinion it is an absolute must.

Polite, professional and friendly service. Good acoustics and nice background music so you can chat in a normal tone without disturbing the neighbors. And... not entirely unimportant; delicious food with original snacks in between!

Wat een fijn restaurant. Top bediening ( onze gastheer was alleen deze avond) maar nam alle tijd voor iedereen. Op zijn aanraden verrassing menu genomen. Nou lust ik persoonlijk geen vis, maar dat was helemaal geen probleem. Nou dat was echt een verrassing. Wat een heerlijkheden allemaal. Complete schilderijtjes op je bord. Vriendelijk gastvrij gezellig. Wij komen zeer zeker nog een keer terug.

At Liv you have the choice to opt for a la carte or shared dining. We chose the latter. We received an appetizer beforehand, which surprised us. It tasted like more! The other dishes we chose tasted just as good. The plates were beautifully presented and the service was friendly. We had to wait quite a while for our drinks. Liv's interior is neat, the toilets are neat and just as stylish as the rest of the restaurant.

Nice, really nice people, but anything but knowledgeable. Lots of chatting with working and non-working colleagues at the bar (or so it seemed). No regard for the waiting customers. It took too long to get anything to the table. With a second order of drinks, we wanted to cancel the order due to the long wait and lack of time, but because of the friendliness of the service we did not do so. Beautiful place with a beautiful bar. Very good cocktail and knowledgeable service. The 5 course surprise menu looked well presented. The intermediate course with 3 types of fish was very tasty, but we found the other courses very standard/simple, almost amateurish and therefore not very surprising.

Nice place to eat and drink something. Good atmosphere and it is located in a nice part of Nieuwleusen. The dry aged meats are also recommended. Also a nice place to organize a party.
