Delicious food, fresh vegetables, and a cozy atmosphere. —- Update August 2025: A pleasant dinner with a business associate on a warm summer evening. We had a "small" carpaccio salad, but the portion was truly generous and deliciously garnished. And a "Koos Kombuis" pancake, deliciously seasoned, tender chicken... 😋 We were served efficiently by a friendly and enthusiastic young waitress! Extra ⭐️ for the service! Another delicious meal and a fantastic view.

Yes, fantastic. What a cozy place! Smooth, friendly, and attentive service! We had a delicious lunch, and it was served quickly. A nice little gift with the pancakes for our five-year-old daughter, who could choose her own. If I may offer one criticism, I think your delicious "Fish & Chips" should be on the lunch menu for a few euros less than on the dinner menu for €24. We also enjoyed your fantastic Toko with its pirate theme, fun coloring page, and delicious pancakes!

A superb discovery; we stopped by on our way back from Amsterdam. Excellent pork skewers, and the rest too, by the way. The staff is young and very polite. I recommend it 100%.

I've been to Zeerover several times over the years: very friendly, attentive service, delicious pancakes (a week ago with goat cheese, super tasty and very filling), and hot drinks. Prices like everywhere else. A big plus for me: handicapped access with automatic doors, accessible restrooms, very clean, and with everything you need. I'll be back!

We had a great experience at De Zeerover during a weekday afternoon visit. We were seated inside right away with no wait, though there are plenty of outdoor tables available on a first-come, first-served basis. The restaurant overlooks the beach and offers a nice view and a relaxed atmosphere. We started with the broodplank (freshly baked bread) that was absolutely delicious. The fish & chips were excellent and reminded us of the style you'd find in the UK. We also tried the apple & cinnamon pancake, which was good while not being as sweet as American-style pancakes. A carafe of white wine rounded out the meal and was a great pairing with the food. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality and location. The restaurant had a mix of guests, including several families, and seemed popular with all ages. All around, this was a relaxing and tasty stop. I definitely recommend it!

The seating was very pleasant, some with a view of the beach and the sea. The food came very quickly. The selection isn't huge, but it's okay. They offer a variety of pancakes, which are highly recommended. The spare ribs and the goat cheese salad were also very good. We'll be happy to come back.

It came with two dark breads, soft with a good edible crust and butter, which were also excellent. The onion soup was spicy, also very good, although there was only a small piece of cheese crust floating around in it, which wasn't too bad. This was also served with the aforementioned thick slices of bread. The menu is available in Dutch and English, but you can also get a German translation using the QR code on the same menu. The paper inserts are wonderful for coloring on the front and back, and colored pencils and sharpeners are available at the table. Outside, all the shady spots were full, so we were a bit hesitant to go inside, but it's well-air-conditioned and extremely pleasant. After our drinks (sparkling ice tea and Coke Zero, both wonderful), we had to wait at least 15 minutes. I got a new meal because the lemon was rotten. I was surprised. Friendly and helpful staff. What I noticed was that everyone spoke German, and I thought that was great. It was fish and chips. It was absolutely delicious, even though I don't usually eat fish in the summer. The fish was very fresh, and the chips were fresh too.

Unfortunately, I can't confirm the positive impressions of the other guests. The staff was very "forgetful," not particularly qualified, and the food was a complete disaster. The fish & chips were more breadcrumbed than fish, and the sauces were some kind of industrial product. Furthermore, the salad wasn't fresh and already had brown spots. So, at €24 per portion, it's way too expensive... Classic tourist trap... If that's not enough to put you off, the food was a real bummer.

Sorry, but the service is absolutely terrible. We walked in, everything made a good impression, and the food looks great, at least from a distance. People who came after us were served immediately, while we sat around for about 15 minutes and then had to find the waiter ourselves. The waiter was a bit rude. Our actual server preferred to play on her phone. And the place wasn't full either. What a shame. No matter how good the food is, we won't be coming back. Addendum: Although our visit was a good two years ago, my wife and I just thought about the food at this place, and I realized I didn't really mention it in my review. The food was excellent; if we're ever in Zandvoort again, we'll give the place another chance. Simply because we remember the fried fish so fondly. If the service improves, I'll give it full stars.

We will never come here again. Had to wait half an hour before we were seen and could order drinks. Other guests arrived later and were helped earlier. Then waited +15 minutes to pass on food and another +30 minutes for our salads. Again, other guests arrived later, ordered later and got their hot food earlier. Were in Zandvoort for a long weekend and our son wanted to eat fish and chips. We ended up at the zeeover. Hadn't made a reservation and there was no table left. We could take it with us according to the employee. Wanted to order and another employee came by and said that a table had become available so great thinking along and good service. Food was brought to the table and was very good to eat. We had 2x fish and chips, pork tenderloin satay and a burger. All four of us had eaten well and there was a good atmosphere. Next Spartan race we will definitely eat there again.

I have never eaten such a good veggie burger (homemade) and my mother was also very impressed with her spare ribs, the burger and the chicken sandwich. Price/performance great!!!! Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly service!!! If Zandvoort then definitely De Zeerover again!!!

A good place to get a real meal before 6 p.m., when most restaurants in Zandvoort open, even with a dog. The pancakes are really great, the sandwiches too and we saw fantastic hamburgers at the next table. The menu isn't huge, but there's a bit of everything, whether carnivore or vegetarian. Unfortunately, our experience in this case was disappointing. Upon entering we were completely ignored by the staff; several employees walked past us without greeting us, except with a “sorry, I have to pass by…”. There seemed to be no structure or overview at all, and the staff clearly had no idea what they were doing. There was no manager to manage things, which made the service chaotic and slow. We saw several guests leave because they received little or no help. Meanwhile, some of the staff were eating themselves, while the place looked like complete chaos—dirty tables everywhere and a messy appearance. There is so much potential here, but without better management and a customer-oriented attitude it will be difficult to offer guests a pleasant experience. Hopefully something will be done about this, because this way we would not return anytime soon.
