We were there on a Monday without an appointment. There were four of us, and we received a very friendly welcome and excellent service. The restaurant is also very child-friendly ❤️. The service and food were very good. We will definitely come back.

Simply perfect. Very friendly and fast service, with staff who also took the time to answer questions. The food was excellent and the portions generous: we had fish and chips, park satay (with a fantastic dark sauce), and pancakes—everything tasted delicious. Definitely recommended!

The best combination I've ever eaten! The truffle mayo and garlic chips were simply an explosion of flavor! Perfect! Very friendly and fast service. Highly recommended.

Very nice place where you can eat and look at the sea. Unbelievably large pancakes - great surprise and also you feel full for long time. Nice touch putting the fruit inside the dough when creating the pancakes. We have waited for the service longer, since they forgot to make one of the pancakes gluten-free, but overall very friendly staff.

We first visited De Zeerover eight years ago and went back again this year. The restaurant is in a prime location right on the beach and offers fantastic views from many of its tables. Both times we ordered pancakes; they were absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. They came with butter and syrup, which we really appreciated. The staff are incredibly friendly, and we will definitely be back :)

The location is great! But the food I had (a burger) unfortunately didn't taste very good. The restaurant was also too expensive for my taste!

Microwave pancake!! Sticky, soggy, and completely tasteless. If you’ve never eaten this, keep it that way.

The food was delicious. We had the house kebab, the goat cheese salad, and sweet and savory pancakes. We were there with children. The server forgot something for us in the back corner.

It was my first time there, my partner has been several times… delicious pancakes, the satay skewer is also great… generous portions… we'll gladly come back again when we have the chance.

Very, very good place 😊👍🏻 I'm glad I ate there. A little tip: if you're thirsty, order two drinks and one glass. They're only 200ml soft drinks, but that's the least of your worries. (I'll be back)

The fish & chips is really nothing special; the fish has no flavor and no seasoning. It is frozen and thawed fish (unfortunately, this is also the case at other restaurants), and the fish is completely soft, lacking texture and bite instead of fresh fish, even though you are literally sitting on the beach. It is like going to Italy and getting a frozen pizza; the price is also completely over the top at 25 euros for the fish & chips. Funnily enough, you are better off going to the fish stall next door. When we inquired, this is standard practice. After asking and insisting ourselves, we didn't have to pay and ate somewhere else. It is a shame, and also remarkable that other reviews are so positive.

We ate pancakes there and were very satisfied. We like visiting Zandvoort, and you can get good pancakes there. Highly recommended.

Fish and chips are very good on the promenade.

The spareribs were tough, which was a real shame, and I didn't really feel like the staff responded to that.

We have vacationed in Zandvoort several times now, and eating at De Zeerover is a must; the pancakes were delicious as always, and the service staff was friendly.

Great place, I sat outside overlooking the sea. Service and quality were excellent, prices are a bit higher, but understandable given the location.

We ate at many different places in Zandvoort and only discovered this restaurant at the very end of our trip. I have to say that I have rarely experienced such a warm and welcoming reception for parents with children in a restaurant. We immediately felt at ease, and we were truly surprised by the concept they offer for children (treasure pancakes for kids). The pancakes taste just like home and are prepared with so much love. The sandwiches are also incredibly delicious and fresh. The service is incredibly friendly, attentive, and attentive. This restaurant is definitely in our top 5 in Zandvoort. Thank you for making us feel so at home. A fantastic concept, and right near the beach to boot. Keep up the great work! ❤️ 5 stars for the whole team.

During our two afternoon visits this season, we had two rounds of more-than-excellent pancakes, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Just delicious! In fact, the tasty pancakes made us either curious enough to try a different pancake on the second occasion, or they were so convincing that we ordered the same choice once again - and whichever strategy we chose, it turned out right. The staff always gave us a warm welcome, and a pretty smile, and were super friendly. Thanks for that, you made our day.

Nice place to have lunch, especially if you are on a bike, as you can park it nicely in plain sight; you can also charge the battery inside if you stay a bit longer. Friendly service, and the food arrived quickly and tasted great. 👍

We went to De Zeerover today and really enjoyed our visit. The food was super delicious and we also loved that there were vegan options available. The waitresses were all very friendly and spoke very good English, and some of them could even speak a little German. That made us feel very welcome right away. We also thought it was really nice that they think about children as well. There are pencils on all the tables and the placemats have coloring pictures on the back, so the kids have something to do while waiting for the food. The food arrived quickly, the atmosphere was relaxed and overall it was just a very pleasant experience. We would definitely come back again :)

My daughter really wanted to eat pancakes, so we chose this restaurant. It's nice that she can color at the table, and the restaurant is decorated in a fun way. The staff was really friendly and came by regularly to ask if everything was OK. I found the food very mediocre, and I think the prices are ridiculously high. The satay was small and served awkwardly. As far as I'm concerned, they could have served better meat instead of that load of fries. The surprise with the pancake was nice, but the taste of the pancake was less than ideal. All in all, I wouldn't come back given the prices.

A fantastic stay with our children. Everyone was incredibly friendly; if we could give six stars for service, we would in a heartbeat. Everything was perfect: a great atmosphere, delicious food, outstanding service, and a cheerful vibe. Absolutely perfect, we'd love to come back. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening.

We had a very good meal at this restaurant. The fish and chips and the pork in satay sauce were absolutely delicious. The setting is pleasant and the restaurant is very spacious.

De Zeerover has indeed earned a reputation for serving uncomplicated, fresh food with solid service – perfect for a relaxed seaside getaway. However, their early closing time of around 8:00 pm is typical for many restaurants in coastal towns outside of peak season or on weekdays. This can be a bit inconvenient if you want to eat later, but it often simply reflects an earlier start to the day. If you're planning a visit, it's generally better to: * go earlier in the evening * or go right at "prime time" (around 5:30–7:00 pm), when the food and atmosphere are at their best.

The restaurant is in a fantastic location. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and extremely efficient. The server had just left our table when our drinks arrived. Not only are dogs welcome, but children are too. There are crayons on the tables and a variety of toys in the shop. A highchair was also offered to us immediately. The "Sate van de Haas" meat skewer is highly recommended and tasted absolutely delicious!

A delicious vegetarian burger (but they also have fish and meat) eaten in a pirate-themed setting (that's the name of the restaurant) with a view of the beach and the sea – it was absolutely fantastic! They provide placemats (pirate theme) and lend you crayons to color them in, which is ideal for families with children.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. Tasty (pork tenderloin) satay (a bit spicy) with fries (or chips ;)) By the window to the right of the entrance, you can see a beautiful sunset (weather permitting). The orange juice could use an extra orange; there isn't much juice for the price, and the peanut sauce could also be a tad bigger. The brownie with ice cream for dessert is recommended.

We went there quite spontaneously on December 26th and even managed to get a table. The service was really good, and we were served quickly and very friendly. The food was the highlight of our day; we were really hungry and weren't disappointed. The portions were just right, and we had absolutely no complaints about the taste. Since we'd been there several times before, but only for coffee, it was nice to try the food this time. We'll definitely be back! ☺️💪
