Absolutely 100% recommend this restaurant. We had an amazing meal, the food, wine and staff all wonderful. The staff could not have been friendlier! If in town, don't miss this place, you wont regret it!!!

We had a fantastic evening with the shared dinner concept. Wonderfully surprising flavor combinations presented in a very cozy setting with an open kitchen. Moreover, the friendly staff greeted you with a smile. Worth 5 stars.

A really nice palette of flavors, lots of original things, including the cocktails. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was also quite good, but very crowded and quite loud, I think, due to the acoustics.

A lovely restaurant serving delicious small dishes with Asian influence. The portion is perfect for sharing, 3-4 dishes per person would satisfy your appetite. I really enjoy the beef tataki, almost like a deconstructed version of beef satay. The scallop was also cooked perfectly, paired with fresh bechamel sauce. They also have a great selection of wines and the service was top notch! Will definitely come back.

The restaurant is an absolute 10/10. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The waitress explained the restaurant's concept to us, and she did so with a lot of patience. Then it was time to order. We loved the concept of ordering several main courses. This allowed us to try many of the amazing dishes. Everything was very special and delicious. But for me, the sandwiches were the absolute highlight! The price/performance ratio is just right. Luckily, we're in The Hague often and will definitely be back next time. We're already looking forward to it. Update 07/25/25 Unfortunately, the super delicious sandwiches are no longer available. But everything else is pure enjoyment. The waiters are super friendly.

This place is lovely but a little bit overhyped. Especially the kung pao cauliflower dish which was recommended as the "specialty" of dekxels. It felt a bit lacklustre. The Dong Po Rou porkbelly had a similar situation, great soft texture but the taste was nothing to write home about. I would recommend the Zeebaars Tiradito and Shittake Pangsit. Those 2 dishes were the best from the ones we had. Fries were also.. weird? : you get a trio of sauces. 2 have a sour profile with very little flavour, and the other is more of a sweet bbq sauce. The fries themselves felt a bit like we got the leftover small bits of potato at the bottom of a bag. Perhaps it was just a bad batch. Overall, not a bad place! Most people will probably really enjoy the food. I'm mainly rating this based on the concept, price, and taste. The quality of the ingredients themselves was great and some of the dishes are creative!

The whole Evening was an amazing Atmosphere with very good Food and a very friendly and good Service. I recommend this Restaurant to everyone in Den Haag and come defintely back.

A sublime experience at Dekxels! Just had dinner at Dekxels and what a fantastic experience! From the food to the atmosphere and cozy atmosphere, everything is perfect. The flavors are perfectly balanced and simply delicious. An absolute must if you're in The Hague. Make sure to make a reservation, as this culinary gem is popular, and rightly so!

O.M.G. if a dinner could get any more perfect I'd be there. When Service is delivered with care, belief in the product that is being served, good humour and a genuine interest in the customer, and a desire for a perfect mea, then only the food can let down the overall experience ... spoiler alert... the food excelled! Tomas began the groundwork the day before when he squeezed us to get in on a Sunday Night, he built on that initial experience with the nod to our initial banter and then Senna provided the icing on the cake with her delightful attitude, air and professionalism. She made a great night even more perfect. Food - where can I start? When asked which dish I liked the best, I honestly couldn't seperate them. I am convinced that whatever you order... you will enjoy. If you don't, then your tastebuds may need an adjustment...🤣 We have dined in restaurants worldwide and we are both in awe of this Den Haag legend, no wonder it is hard to get in to! All the previous positive comments are justified. A truly iconic restaurant experience; Food, Wine, Service, Ambience all 100/100. Well done Team Dekxels. Update: We came back for a 2nd round the next night - conclusion : Still Spectacular on all levels and the Signature Cauliflower is DEFINITELY worth it, a "must have" dish!

Booked here for a meal after a training session for 5 of us. Was explained that the dish sizes were starters and you choose how many you wanted. I went for Eel, beef croquettes and the pork belly. Food was lovely, great service and not too much wait for each course. Pork belly could have been a little hotter but overall a superb experience.

Not via Facebook, not via Insta, not via email, not via TikTok, nothing and they don't answer the phone to discuss anything for the family vacation..... So skip it!!! Dekxels continues to convince! What a great restaurant this is. The menu is slightly adjusted every few months. We are always curious and we come there to eat about every six months. Tonight we had another fantastic meal. Dekxels, you have been our favorite for 5 years. Not only is the food good, the staff is also great. They work hard, they are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere with each other. We will definitely come back soon, because we have only eaten half of the new menu.

Last weekend we had dinner at Dekxels in The Hague and it was really great. We sat in the conservatory, a super cozy spot, nice and cozy and atmospheric. A really nice setting for dining. The service was very good, friendly and attentive, without being pushy. Everything went smoothly and we didn't lack anything. In terms of food, we really enjoyed it. We had the 4-course menu with some side dishes, and we were very happy. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented and the flavors were well put together. You can tell that a lot of attention was paid to it. All in all, we had a very nice evening. Definitely a place we will come back to!

Siamo stati qui perché il ristorante è molto ben recensito. Tuttavia, personalmente, non ci ho trovato nulla di speciale. Il personale è gentilissimo, il servizio veloce è il problema non è la qualità del cibo ma le modalità di preparazione: se un trancio di salmone viene intinto nella solita, noiosa e speziatissima salsa agrodolce, il sapore del pesce viene completamente coperto! La tartare di tonno invece era buona ma solo se trascurate la salsa sul fondo. Un consiglio agli olandesi: evitate do annegare la roba da mangiare nelle salse. Prezzi nella media olandese (che per un italiano è una media piuttosto alta!)

Probamos una colección de artículos con un vino tinto agradable y nos quedamos impresionados. ¡Definitivamente puedo recomendar el Tatare! Heerlijk verrassend eten! Het is een bib gourmand waardig. De zaak is ook geschikt voor een snel diner als je nog even iets wil eten voor een voorstelling in het theater. De zaak heeft zeer vriendelijke medewerkers. Zeker eentje voor op de vaste lijst!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Dekxels. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and attentive service. We ordered the scallop and crab, pork belly, harissa eggplant, curry prawns and tournedos. Every dish we ordered was a delight — beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the balance of spices and textures in each plate showed real thought and skill from the kitchen. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was not your typical cheesecake but again very well crafted with a perfect blend of flavors.

Tip for pregnant women or people with allergies: they work with a very handy allergy card! Never seen it before but it works great

We visited Dekxels on Tuesday - in The Hague on this day this is already luck, because most restaurants are closed. We chose it based on good reviews, as one of the best options working that day. The staff is really very polite, the atmosphere is pleasant. Despite the almost full seating, I managed to get a table for two - which made me happy. I ordered a 6-course tasting set. The portions are small, which is what I like. Of the six dishes, four were really tasty, but the scallop and eggplant were disappointing - they didn’t live up to the taste. The service seemed slow, but to be fair, there were a lot of guests in the restaurant. Dinner for two cost €100 without alcohol. The overall impression is mixed: okay, but not great. If it weren't for the day of the week, I might have chosen a different place.

I was very excited to finally be able to get a table but slightly disappointed by the experience. Overall the food is tasty, however portions are small and we found that most creamy dishes came with very little/without bread or something to eat it with, resulting in not being able to finish the dishes. Servers will ask you to pass on plates and dirty dishes ect. and interrupt conversation. I would suggest adding elements to creamy dishes and reviewing te floor plan for a better experience.

Wij hebben afgelopen weekend een fantastische avond beleefd bij Dekxels en willen deze ervaring graag delen! Het eten was absoluut heerlijk, met als echte topper de coquilles en kreeft – echt een feest voor de smaakpapillen. Ook de gerookte paling was een absolute aanrader. De gerechten waren stuk voor stuk verrukkelijk en het was duidelijk dat de chef veel aandacht heeft besteed aan de smaken en presentatie. Wat de ervaring nog specialer maakte, was de wijnkeuze. De bijpassende wijnen die voor ons waren uitgezocht, waren perfect en complementair aan de gerechten. Het maakte de maaltijd helemaal compleet en elke wijn maakte de smaken van het eten nog intenser en smaakvoller. De bediening was vriendelijk en attent, met een extra compliment voor de Haagse Fransman door zijn enthousiasme en kundigheid ons meteen welkom en goed verzorgd liet voelen. Een klein puntje van aandacht was de bijkomende toeslag bij sommige gerechten op het 3-gangenmenu. Bij zeven van de vijftien gerechten werd een toeslag van €3,- in rekening gebracht. Het zou wellicht beter zijn als het menu gewoon iets duurder wordt en deze toeslagen achterwege worden gelaten. Desondanks was het een geweldige avond, en we hebben echt genoten van het eten, de wijnen en de fijne sfeer. Zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die van lekker eten en een gastvrije bediening houdt!

A friend recommended this restaurant because I was looking for a special restaurant for my girlfriend for her birthday, and this was exactly what I was looking for. They had hung streamers for her with a happy birthday message, were super friendly, the food was not normally tasty, really just nothing to complain about. 10/10, we will definitely eat here more often!
