New owner as of September 1, 2023. The menu was on a blank sheet of A4 paper. Not a pleasant atmosphere, and all the furniture is still from the previous owner. Also, change the business name immediately if you're a new owner. It wasn't clear whether it was relaunched under Deli France. (My bank account shows: broodjesenBabb)?? We really wanted a fancy sandwich, but unfortunately, there wasn't much choice. We left immediately after drinks. The menu is sparse, and the prices were also expensive.

Today I went to Deli France in Alkmaar again with a friend after a long absence. We thought we'd order our standard sandwich. The menu wasn't what it used to be. It was a laminated A4 sheet of paper, not a nice booklet with a large number of choices like before. It's now very sparse. No more specialty coffees, unfortunately. The prices have also become considerably more expensive than before. I ordered my standard sandwich with the dressing I was given. It turned out they no longer had it, and I could choose another. I didn't do that, so I left. The atmosphere wasn't pleasant, and it wasn't what it used to be. I understand there's a new owner since September 1st. So, unfortunately, things haven't improved.

Right from the start, we were informed that the store was currently experiencing a staffing shortage and that the food service manager was working alone for the first time, which meant it would take longer. We accepted the longer wait. The food was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were very polite and friendly. We would order the same meal there again anytime.

Waited an hour for 2 sandwiches, they were so busy! (We were almost the only ones in that shop) and they couldn't handle it all anymore, and also had to pay 22 euros. Ridiculous, we will never come here again! Very bad thing

Wir wurden sehr nett auf Deutsch am Tisch bedient. Das französische Baguette war reichhaltig belegt und sehr lecker. Das Highlight war das Honig-Senf-Dressing, für das wir uns entschieden hatten.

( ik gril er nog van, zo gek dit) Dit moest een broodje warm vlees voorstellen met verse tomaten paprika en luxe salade...????? Dit zag ik nergens !!!!!!.echt abnormaal zo duur.9.75 voor viezigheid. Dan een stuk stokbrood met gehakt en luxe salade...9.50 : Een gesneden balletje met wat satesaus ..met wat geplukt ijsbergsla op elk plakje melig gehakt. Schandalig deze zaak. NOOIIIITTTTT MEERRRR !!!!! Wat een geld vraagt deze zaak. Abnormaal zo duur voor weinig !

Had a wonderful mid morning breakfast here. Food was fresh, coffee was great and we sat outside and people watched. Just be aware that they don't accept visa or MasterCard when we went.

Unfortunately we were not able to have lunch, the two women who worked there could not handle the crowds. There were 2 people on the terrace. Then no more... We had a great lunch last year, but unfortunately they couldn't deliver this year and that's it for us too.

Regularly eaten at various delifrance. Unfortunately, this cannot live up to the high expectations I normally have of this franchise company. It was a bit messy behind the counter where the sandwiches are prepared. I also don't think the sandwiches are anything special. Also as a tip. If you increase the prices of certain products by more than almost 30%, make sure that the old price is no longer readable.

We arrived at 3:50 PM and were looked at with arrogant heads by the staff who were sitting at the table on their phones and eating. We asked can we still sit, the answer was an arrogant yes. We wanted a nice Liège waffle and a smoothie to which the answer was the kitchen is closed and we cleaned everything. My sister wanted apple juice which they didn't have. People came in to ask if they could eat something because the lazy staff gave them the impression that it was no longer possible and then they were also shown the door. When we went to pay, there were baguettes lying around getting old and there was a dirty cutting board and a knife in the kitchen. The conclusion was that they could just make it, but their phone was apparently more important than the turnover. I hope the boss reads this and does something about it, maybe it's time for more motivated staff. And this is not the first time it happened, but it is the last time we have been there, at least here in Alkmaar, in other cities it is all very well taken care of and the staff is friendlier. The terrace outside was also dirty, several tables were still full of glasses, so there was work to be done instead of sitting and eating.

The Delifrance website indicates that payment can be made with a tourist check. However, this is not the case. The owner came up with a story that their cash register system cannot scan the gift card. It's a shame that the same owner replied to a review here 5 days earlier that this problem had been solved. It is clear that this Delifrance does not have its affairs in order.

Good food, but music is way too loud

Since we didn't have much time, we thought we'd grab a quick sandwich. Too bad an older man was interfering with the ladies. That's why they were distracted and that one lady asks the other if she wants to make a salmon sandwich and initially refuses..... Now we walked out with an almost unbaked white (asked twice for brown) egg salad sandwich. (without lettuce or something) and a soggy salmon sandwich. Next time we'll just go to a restaurant again.

Finally after 45 minutes I got my meatball sandwich. A table next to me just walked away because no one came to take their drink. Okay, the waitresses did their best, but there was no one to supervise them, so they sometimes walked around the restaurant like headless chickens. And now back to my meatball sandwich. After about 20 minutes it turned out that the cook had made my sandwich incorrectly and had started over. he came out of the kitchen to apologize with two coffee cookies. Just make sure my sandwich comes as soon as possible and then serve the sandwich yourself and then apologize. So I thought he must have put extra love into that sandwich, but no, the local snack bar in my area has even better meatballs. The other people in my party didn't really have a great experience with their sandwiches either; two flavors that collide harder than a car against a wall at 80 km/h. or lettuce that should have been thrown away two days ago. When we said during checkout that some things were not entirely to our liking, we simply said; "We've been doing it this way for years." But dear gentleman who changed our checkout times. We did get a 5% discount on our food and that was for the better. So people please move on to another café/restaurant!

Loop een stukje door naar het Waagplein en sla deze tent over! Bij binnenkomst was direct te zien dat het interieur duidelijk verouderd was, wat de zaak een troosteloze sfeer gaf. Dit is terug te zien in het personeel, het loopt rond als een kip zonder kop, zonder enige aansturing van een leidinggevende, wat het geheel tot een chaos maakt. De menukaart is veel te ruim, met een oneindige keus uit broodjes. Hieruit blijkt duidelijk dat het restaurant er alles aan doet om zoveel mogelijk aan te bieden, om geld te kunnen verdienen, zonder zich te specialiseren in iets waar ze goed in zijn. Gelukkig werden onze drankjes vlot opgenomen, terwijl dat bij een tafel verder te lang duurde wat er toe leidde dat de gasten vertrokken. De drankjes waren prima en nadat de bestelling voor het eten was opgenomen, begon het wachten. Uiteindelijk na 45 minuten hadden wij de bestelling compleet. Door een vergissing van de serveerster of de keuken duurde een van de broodjes langer, omdat deze was gemaakt met satésaus, in plaats van mayonaise. De broodjes waren absoluut smaakloos, ze smaakten werkelijk waar naar niks. Het broodje beenham met zowel bieslookroomkaas als honingmosterdsaus is gewoonweg teveel op één broodje, het broodje tonijnsalade werd op brood geserveerd wat je je hond nog niet geeft en de sla die het hele tafereel vergezelde had nooit het daglicht meer mogen zien. Bij het afrekenen gaven wij aan dat niet alles naar de wens was, wat gewoonweg afgedaan werd met “zo worden de broodjes gemaakt, als u er iets niet op wilt hebben, dan moet u dat maar aangeven”. Als chef hoor je toch te weten hoe je eten smaakt? Al met al hebben wij een korting gehad voor het feit dat niet alles naar wens was en dat het zo lang duurde, maar voor hetzelfde bedrag hadden wij heerlijk kunnen lunchen in een sfeervol en gezellige restaurant met goede bediening aan het Waagplein.

Finally, after 45 minutes, we had completed the order. Due to an error by the waitress or the kitchen, one of the sandwiches took longer because it was made with satay sauce, instead of mayonnaise. The sandwiches were absolutely tasteless, they really tasted like nothing. The ham sandwich with both chive cream cheese and honey mustard sauce is simply too much on one sandwich, the tuna salad sandwich was served on bread that you wouldn't give your dog and the lettuce that accompanied the whole scene should never have seen the light of day again. At checkout we indicated that not everything was to our liking, which was simply dismissed with "this is how the sandwiches are made, if you don't want something on it, just let us know". As a chef, you should know how your food tastes, right? All in all, we received a discount for the fact that not everything was to our liking and that it took so long, but for the same amount we could have had a delicious lunch in an attractive and cozy restaurant with good service on the Waagplein.

This afternoon I visited the Delifrance lunchroom in Alkmaar and I was not pleased. Initially I ordered a sandwich for around 5.80 euros. When taking the order, the waitress added that I could choose a sauce of my choice and asked if I wanted the sandwich warm or cold. (It was not stated that this had to be paid extra). My friend ordered a small sandwich and then got a large one. This was also indicated. When paying, the sandwich now turned out to be over 8.50 euros and we had to pay the cost of a large one for the small sandwich. The man behind the counter reacted rather disinterestedly and the bottom line was that the bill as he had drawn it up was not adjusted. They are one customer poorer again. I will never go here again and certainly will not recommend this lunchroom.

Hello 4 euros for a few leaves of lettuce and 5 (I counted) slices of cucumber!!! I might as well have bought 6 cucumbers with that money. The girls behind the counter didn't dare say anything about it either. I asked for my money back and got 50 cents... what a terrible man this is, you don't dare treat customers like that... if necessary you say that there will be additional costs for the cucumber and lettuce. How ridiculous... I really got ripped off... and the bread wasn't even fresh...

The chicken satay was red on the inside. Apparently we were sitting on a reserved table, the waitress herself could have paid attention. We did not have to pay anything extra for the slightly more expensive replacement product. With so many good alternatives just a stone's throw away, in my opinion, the approach will have to improve very quickly. In any case, I'm done with it. Délifrance Alkmaar, this was once but never again.
