La Place in Centrum

Yes, I can definitely call it special. It doesn't feel like a real La Place. Upon entering, the staff is on the other side, and you really have to figure out how the concept works. Maybe put up a sign saying "order here, pick up here"? The sandwich was definitely not La Place-worthy, and the smoothie was very watery... Had it been frozen? The girl behind the counter really did her best, but with enough staff and a very quiet atmosphere, I don't understand why all the tables were dirty and all the clearing carts full. There's still a lot to be gained at this location, so MT, put your best foot forward and make the most of it, because all in all, you're in a great location.

La Place has become very expensive compared to when it was part of V&D

La place was a breakfast place for the adjacent hotel. Lots of hustle and bustle of staff preparing products. Breakfast was simple. There were some special sandwiches but they were not part of breakfast. Coffee but no cappuccino or latte. Strange. Bare and cold on a Saturday morning

Yesterday. Had lunch at La Place in Alkmaar on June 12 and it was very bad Cutlery with food remains on it. sandwiches not hot, coffee lukewarm and uninterested staff. Too bad

I have been a big fan of the old-fashioned cream cheese sandwiches. Richly filled and a nice portion, until now. It is so sparingly put on the table with a layer of cream cheese as thick as a year. I won't be coming back for this again.

Don't wear gloves when making sandwiches and adding dry lettuce leaves, coffee also dirty

For me it is an added bonus to enter this part. I already have to go to Hema for my groceries and the offer in my App suits my taste and/or wallet, but for a cup of coffee it is perfectly doable!

Usually very friendly service, somewhat messy restaurant space: it could use more frequent sweeping, tables are often not cleared. The apple dumplings are delicious, there is a wide range of sandwiches and the prices are reasonable.

Food fine. Only the location needs to be thoroughly renovated. Unfortunately very difficult with a wheelchair.

Sandwiches are okay and cheaper and more affordable than a cafe etc... smoothie is a simple smoothie that everyone can make in the blender every day. It is striking that there are 6 people standing there, which is a lot but also seems unprofessional. They also spend a lot of time giggling with each other, with glasses also falling on the floor due to inattention.

Waiting a long time for food resulting in cold coffee. Trays everywhere on tables because the shelves are full.

La Place in HEMA. This is something different than you are used to and the controls also take some getting used to, it seems. In any case, it is not due to friendliness. And don't grab it yourself, but order at the counter. After paying, it will be ready for you on the side after a while.

Okay location of the La Place. Food is well organised, there is a wide range for the fact that it is a smaller La Place and all the food is clearly visible from the entrance to the restaurant. Nice and young staff and they handle crowds as best as possible. Not a very attractive location, fine for a quick cup of coffee or tea, but too hectic and noisy to sit for longer. A nice place to sit at quieter times. Paths are a bit on the tight side.

Sandwich was fine, little taste but okay. What actually disappointed me most is how lax the staff is with 'hygiene'. I received a cup of chocolate milk with visible green pieces of the Smoothie still on the outside. When I said 'I don't want to be very annoying and pointed to the spots' she grabbed the cup and said 'oh I'll pour it over' 🤯. Of course I should have said something about this, but I was so speechless that I grabbed the tray and sat down. I wanted to take a sip, but as soon as I took a sip I felt nauseous just thinking about the possibility that if she hadn't seen this, the nasty gunk could have been on the inside too. I only ate the sandwich and handed the cup with Prut back to the counter and left. You could train your staff a little better in terms of hygiene.

If you like burnt cheese rolls or burnt sausage rolls then you should definitely eat here. Although you have to wait 20 minutes for it, otherwise they are of course not burned enough

My daughter took the Kids Box at Hema La Place in Alkmaar. Was great, got pencils for drawing and memory

The food is fine, but I think the price is a bit on the high side. Service is order via QR and then you get it delivered to your table and it works excellently. It's in a Hema so you shouldn't expect too much from the atmosphere, but the people who work there are very nice. It's a good place for a coffee stop

Only had a coffee so no rating for food. Makes a clean impression, but the withered garden of leaves on the ceiling and the construction site character of the ceiling don't make a good impression

Place pressed together to sit. Chaos with ordering and then waiting when it's ready...was very messy

Very young staff who don't really know what to do. Indifferent and not helpful. There really needs to be someone in charge here who knows what he/she is doing.

Inside the Hema store, the first level is this cozy place, so we already know about them, everything is fresh and good, I cut my finger and the employees immediately helped me, they are very helpful and pleasant.

Was there for lunch time but was so busy. I waited fifteen minutes for my food, but in the meantime the coffee and tea was getting cold at the takeaway counter. The clearing cupboards are poorly emptied. Were overcrowded. Not the first time by the way.

La Place in Alkmaar is very bad. The staff does not handle the food and its preparation properly! The cutlery in the cutlery tray is just dirty! I am not used to anything from La Place Heerhugowaard.

Herb cheese sandwich was prepared on the spot. 1 spoonful of cheese was taken, it was spread as much as possible and then half was put back in the container. It turned out to be a meager dry sandwich, which I find too expensive this way. In addition, about 5 other employees looked bored. Wasn't helped immediately even though there were no customers. Ordered for the 2nd time via QR code at the table and half of it turns out not to be there. Then you end up waiting 15 minutes for nothing. And then another 15 minutes until you get your money back.

Unfortunately the La Place in Alkmaar is really bad when it comes to management. The products and service are good, but at one point there were flies on the cakes. And I told whoever was there and she couldn't do anything about it. They don't have honey for the ginger tea. That's fine in itself, but those flies are a bit too much to see

The food is always very good and fresh prepared. The iced vanilla coffee was very good. This seems to be a new concept for smaller "La Place", without the self service buffet and more a counter concept like subway. Service was very friendly and fluent in Dutch and English, tourist friendly. A little hickup during the serving was corrected without questions. Only the seeting right inside the Hema is not ideal, but ok.

Ate once and never again. Had to wait half an hour for a ham sandwich, sausage roll, chocolate milk and a bottle of water. The sausage roll had been getting cold for over fifteen minutes, while the ham sandwich still had to be made. When we approached the lady about this and asked if it was still warm, she started feeling the sandwich with her fingers. Now of course I don't need it anymore! Received a “new” one that has already been reheated several times, so hard that you can hardly bite it off. Inexperienced staff also grab glasses from the top and then touch them with your mouth. Drinks spill over the tray, you dirty mess. Unfortunately. The only plus: the ham sandwich was tasty in the end.

Cozy place to eat. Ordered sandwiches and sat down. All tables were dirty. Asked if our table could be cleaned. Took a long time, so I asked again. Got sandwiches and drinks. No glass, so asked for that again. Chicken sandwich was okay, but not like they tasted before. Tuna sandwich was also okay. 1 coffee, 1 coke zero and 2 sandwiches almost 19.00 euros. There were enough staff, it wasn't busy so they could just clean the tables, straighten chairs, and pick up crumbs from the couch.

Never order via the app. Had to wait 25 minutes for 2 cokes, a sausage roll and a brownie. Then people who came in later and ordered later received their food first. And when our order finally came, we were told that the sausage roll was finished. Asked for money back, had to wait again. Bad service, except for 2 employees, all unfriendly towards customers. Once but never again.

no menu, very slow service and long wait bad concept, no more extensive sandwiches and pastries on display. Little choice of sandwiches, pastries and soft drinks, preparation takes far too long. What a shame, what a quality place. Ramen soup was okay, salmon sandwich was tasty.

Went today for the 2nd time after some start-up problems the last time, very nice help today. Very friendly, fun, helpful employees. And delicious tuna foccacia, latte and mocktail. Delivered to the table very quickly too. Definitely come back again!

Nice a la place in Alkmaar. They were super busy, but they were kindly helped with delicious food.

don't order sausage rolls, most likely they fell on the floor. An employee dropped one in front of us that had just come out of the "oven", checked to see if anyone had seen it, thought not, just put it back on the plate and served it.

Last Wednesday we thought we would have a nice lunch at the new la place in Hema. Ordering was already difficult. An employee was quietly drinking water. After asking where we could order, she indicated that she was experiencing a shortage of staff. She indicated that she would drink some water (at her leisure, in full view of everyone) and then come over. The bread we wanted to order was not there. The sandwich we finally got was not very tasty either. La Place's famous tuna salad is apparently no longer what it used to be. The tables were dirty, the table where you can take cutlery, etc. was not properly replenished, resulting in everyone asking at the cash register and the answer was clearly: it's gone! In short, this was once but never again. This was already at 2.30 pm and a lot was gone. People after us were told they could no longer order it. What a miss!

I wanted to try out the new la place. Now dirty cups, the coffee was not tasty.....we got latte machiato in a dirty glass where orange juice had been squeezed and the glass had not been washed. It was the first and the last time.

Crazy bad. Ramen soup on the menu was not available because "no ingredients were supplied", we were sent to another cash register twice to order. The (cold) "focacia" did not even resemble the famous Italian sandwich, it was spread with half a spoonful of canned tuna salad and three small pieces of red onion. The ordered double espressos were never served at all, a 15 cent deposit was charged for the Spa Rood, but we could not return the bottle on the spot. You cannot pay in cash (which you are snapped at in a curt tone, by the way) but you can't get money back for the espressos you haven't enjoyed (€6.50), but we can't get started with that. Out of desperation, we only asked for two pieces of chocolate bar as compensation, which amounted to approximately that amount. NEVER again!

2 coffees and 2 slices of apple pie with nuts 15.45 the whipped cream comes from a spray can and is immediately weak the coffee is not tasty, especially jumbo own brand in short, this was one time and the last time the Hema was better
