The food is truly delicious, but when it's completely full, you can barely hear each other at the table. I also thought everything was served too hastily, and it was cleared away just as quickly.

Super cool and cozy decoration, feels like you’re inside a little greek town. The menu has a lot of options and the quality is great (greek girlfriend approves!). Starters like “oven feta” are super tasty and main dishes come in big portions. The service is also fast and kind. The place is a bit dark and can be noisy when is full, but anyway fully recommend!

Went yesterday on the recommendation of my brother and sister-in-law. Super nice, warm atmosphere as if you are really in Greece, nice Greek music, beautiful decoration and we really had a delicious meal. The prices were also very reasonable. Really recommended.

2025: Another delicious meal! 2023: Tasty gyros, souvlaki and keftedakia. Good tzatziki and delicious rice, but unfortunately not comparable to the dishes from the country itself.

Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere!

Too bad Delphi. It used to be atmospheric and hospitable, but yesterday I didn't taste much of it. It now seems more like the motto mass = cash register. As has been posted before, me and my group also had to wait more than 20 minutes even though we had made a reservation at 7 p.m. and we were ordered to wait against the wall. The food was tasty, but almost 7 euros for 3 scoops of tzatziki sauce is something I have never experienced before. This was once standard with all dishes. No Delphi. Unfortunately. I'll go elsewhere from now on.

Food is delicious and personnel kind. Atmosphere is very friendly but music too loud and chaotic.

We had dinner with you yesterday, in Greece it is quiet, but here it was not normal that everything was on the table so quickly. We hadn't finished our drinks yet when we got the bill without asking, as if we were happy to pay and the next person could sit down. This is very unfortunate. Food was good but will never come here again.

Arrived on time with a reservation. It was packed with no room to spare. Many other people were also waiting for the same spot which was wierd. We asked the staff and they mumbled that they had a booking of 72 people. Seems as if they got greedy and took the large reservation without informing anybody. Staff treated us like dirt so we walked out. Never will go back again.

Went out to dinner with my husband and his son last Saturday. The food is good. Nothing to complain about. But what bothered us is that the bill was already presented while my husband was still busy with his drink. This is now the second time this has happened to us. We didn't like this and it was certainly not polite. The receipt also stated ASAP. Very unprofessional!!!!!!

Lousy service and totally unreliable tent. I had made a reservation for my girlfriend's 4th anniversary at half past eight, when I arrived there was literally a queue all the way to the door. It turns out that they were all people who also had reservations and all had to wait anyway, making reservations apparently means nothing for this tent. In the end I walked away like several other people waiting, this was great, it ruined the whole evening.

Delicious food. Unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for a reserved table. That's a shame. Dishes taste great, service good! Very busy on Saturday evening, but that's actually a good sign!

Super cozy restaurant in a nice location in the center of Leiden. This restaurant gives you a family living room feeling. The food is great, something for everyone. The menu offers many options from fish to meat, and there is also plenty of choice for vegetarians. The service and owners are always friendly. Quality and hospitality are of paramount importance. Absolutely recommended. Please note that paid parking is required if you come by car. There are ample parking spaces in the area.

Top restaurant, real Greeks, friendly and delicious food.

Had dinner here with 12 people for my father's birthday. The restaurant is a bit close together, but in the beginning it was not disturbing when we were the only ones, later it was a bit difficult. Staff are incredibly friendly. Food arrived on time and for everyone at the same time. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. Maybe even a little less. A lot of things now went back to the kitchen because we were just full. Reservations are recommended. They are always full, especially during the weekend. Which is understandable. A truly top tent Ate here again for my father's birthday. After 4 years still the same friendly people, the same top quality food. In short, another great evening.

I think I just happened to order the right thing. Because it was all really delicious. Nice service and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We will definitely come back here more often.

Neatly made a reservation upon arrival, very busy. So there is no room, when asked they look at you and just keep walking. Made another attempt but they treat you like trash. Never again to Delphi.

Ordered food via the website and it was really tasty. Good quality, delivered hot and good (slightly too large) portions. Delivery was faster than expected, absolutely great!

Delicious food, always pleasant

Ordered delicious food to pick up today. On the way home in the rain the bag tore and all the food ended up on the ground. I went back anyway because I was of course really hungry for it. Very nice people at Delphi, I just received the same order for free!!! Had a delicious meal when we got home. Definitely come back as always because it always tastes good but this service was unexpectedly very sweet. Thank you!!

I have been coming here for more than 20 years, on average twice a year. For me it remains the tastiest Greek! Quality, taste and conviviality.

We were charged double for a salad!!!!!, even though we only took one, and it wasn’t even complete buffet at the time. When we brought this up, the boss became aggressive and insisted we had taken two salads, even though one was just an extra plate. Additionally, despite there being plenty of empty tables, they seated us right next to a large, loud family who kept screaming. The food was good, but the overall experience, including the boss’s behavior and seating arrangement, was very disappointing. If you visit, make sure to check your bill and choose your seating carefully.

Lovely restaurant. Food is marvelous and the personnel are kind and efficient. The portions are quite big. Last time, I went on the middle of the week, so it was not crowded. The first time I went on a Saturday and it was quite full. I recommend booking in advance.

Phenomenal portion sizes, fantastic quality, great service despite the lighting being a *little* too dark to read the menu properly. Will be back.

We have been coming to this (almost) oldest Greek restaurant in the Netherlands for 40 years. The price-quality ratio is simply good, and there is always more than enough. The audience is mixed: students, Leiden residents, expats, day trippers and tourists. Due to the crowds, it sometimes takes a long time before you are helped. Especially on weekends, you must book in advance to get a spot. In Leiden, as a visitor, you can park in one of the spacious parking garages, which is about a 5-minute walk from there.

Delicious food and good service!

On Sunday we spontaneously decided to have dinner here with some friends. We received a super friendly welcome and were able to take a seat right away. We took the 2-person Delphi dish twice and the gyros. We enjoyed our meal, the meat was super tender and everything was perfectly seasoned. Truly the best Greek in the Netherlands. This is definitely recommended and we will definitely come back here again. 10 with a pencil!!

Lovely restaurant with mediterranean vibes. The portions are really large and well worth the price. Staff is very friendly. The music can get loud at times, when large groups get joyful with ouzo, and it adds to the 'taverna' experience you get from here. Also there's a friendly cat wandering around, what more do you expect!

Food was very tasty. Had grandma's feta oven as a starter, it was very tasty. The main course was also delicious. Would really recommend the stews. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. Atmosphere was nice and music certainly not too loud. Staff was super nice. Highly recommended!

Since I have not received a working link to write a review, I am adjusting my previous, then very enthusiastic, review. Ordered at 6pm. Received email with a delivery time around 6:45 PM. Nothing yet at 7:30 PM. Called. The food was ready and would be given to the next delivery person. Food finally delivered at 750pm. Then it was no longer warm. The packaging was broken during transport, so the bag and containers were covered in sauce. Google does not allow photos to be attached. Bizarre but true. The fish stew this time was pitifully pathetic: four pieces of kibbeling in a thick, sticky, wallpaper paste-like sauce, probably leftovers. A fish pot should be well covered in sauce. The zucchini and eggplant indicated on the menu were not found. The quality and taste of the meat was good. Just not warm anymore. All in all very disappointing compared to the last time which I was extremely enthusiastic about. Apparently it can change. In any case, we will also try another Greek.

Good Greek restaurant. You will receive an ouzo upon arrival. The menu contains the usual and less well-known Greek dishes. Depending on what you order, you can get a salad from the salad bar, but I missed the feta and olives with this one. The meat was wonderfully tender. Definitely recommended if you want Greek food in Leiden.

The music is loud so you can't talk normally despite the request to turn it down and they enjoy playing with the lights, but we are in a restaurant and not a disco. We won't come here anymore!

We were in Leiden for a weekend and by chance came across restaurant Delphi. What a cozy restaurant and super nice and friendly staff. We had a delicious meal, a big ten. We will definitely come back. Great👍👍

I've been here several times and it's always great. But last week it was a disappointment. We had just finished our starter and the main course came straight after. The food was very tasty and well priced. Just ordering a drink was not an issue. We also declined dessert as there was no service. But we walked to the bar and paid quickly. Too bad Delphi…

Mediocre experience. It was a busy night, staff was friendly despite. Took 1.5 hrs before we got our main dish served, 45 min before our order was taken. We were with 5 and all enjoyed their food but me. I got the filet Aphrodite, most expensive piece of meat and it came... Completely raw. I returned it and got an equally raw piece in return. Very disappointing. Staff compensated me with bottle of Greek wine, which is appreciated, but it would feel more fair if the meal was subtracted from the bill.

Greek restaurant in Leiden with great food. As soon as you sit you are welcomed with a shot of ouzo. The portions have a good size and can be shared. We ordered a moussaka which was really good and a baklava for dessert, very good too. The place is nice and the decoration makes us feel like if we were in a tavern in Greece. Good cost benefit . Definitely recommend it.

Had dinner at Delphi last night. Pleasantly busy and we had to wait a while. After 15 minutes we got a table for 2 at the back of the restaurant. There we ended up in a football canteen-like setting with people shouting back and forth at each other. We couldn't hear ourselves talk anymore. We ate our plate empty and, with screeching tires, sought out something quieter in Leiden for a quick meal. The food he Delphi was fine.

Very unfortunate. Once again (3rd time) a telephone order was not communicated properly. Unfortunately another birthday without the delicious Greek food we were used to from them. Unfortunately, for us it really ends at Delhi. Hopefully things will go better for your future guests.

2020 After many visits to Delphi and catering at home, I have now ordered via Thuisbezorgd for the second time. Very late delivery for the first time, but with amends and apologies. 2nd time I waited for more than two hours, Delphi does not answer the phone and does not make contact itself. Incomplete delivery. Except for the sauce, everything was lukewarm/cold. The delivery person fled the scene almost immediately. Faded glory. 9-9-2024 Ordered today around 11 a.m. for delivery tonight at 7 p.m. of the new menu. Nothing delivered at 7:45 PM. Called, it didn't go through. Again, faded glory, don't do it.

A nice location and real Greek atmosphere.

In addition to the typical Dutch Greek plates (meat, lots of meat), you can also eat real Greek food here: home-made dolmas and good zucchini cookies, delicious melitzana salata. Plus very special: home-made rakemello based on Metaxa, the boss's recipe. Top.
