Amazing meal! One of the best moussakas I’ve ever had!

The location is incredibly good; we came on a beautiful sunny Sunday and had dinner. We ordered sea bream and eggplant meze, both were fantastic. I never thought I could eat grilled sea bream this good, befitting the Aegean region, even in the Netherlands. We loved it. The service was very slow; we waited quite a while for everything. We even ordered coffee at the end, but it never arrived, so we didn't press the issue, paid the bill, and left.

A small gem of a restaurant, that makes all their food fresh in-house. The menu warns that there might be a wait due to not using ready made meals. I had Mese for starters, then the grilled Dorado for mains, and ended on the home made baklava with a scoop of baklava ice-cream. Everything was delicious and I did not experience a wait. Highly recommend 👌

We had a delicious meal and the service was courteous. Moreover, they didn't look away, even though we were with four children. A lovely restaurant to end a day in Leiden.

A peculiar experience! Upon arrival, right on time, the owner was more interested in asking us why we hadn't confirmed our reservation via email on the day itself than in giving us a polite welcome. Eventually, we were allowed to choose a table by the grace of God, but after this ‘warm’ welcome, we had little desire to enjoy Rhodes’ ‘hospitality’ any further. Ultimately, it was a blessing in disguise, as we discovered a delightful restaurant in the city center where good food goes hand in hand with genuine hospitality.

Peculiar staff/owner. Unique sense of humor, but doesn't always come across as very friendly. The price-quality ratio is not balanced; for this money, there are better restaurants to eat at.

A lovely little restaurant right on the water. We sat outside in beautiful weather and enjoyed the delicious food. The menu is small but excellent. However, the prices are quite high for the portion sizes.

Perfect evening out. The food was absolutely highly recommended. Very above-average Greek. Tasty starters made with care, delicious sauces, and beautifully presented. The main courses were also fine. A good souvlaki, tasty lamb, and a superb whole sea bream. The wine was also fine. And it was lovely sitting on the floating terrace.

Upon arrival, actually just before opening at 6, the owner welcomed us kindly while he was still eating. Despite this, we were welcome to sit down, and he served us very kindly and personally for the rest of the evening. He even asked if we thought the music was too loud and if we wanted the door open because of the wind. The food was delicious, the service was superb, and the interior was nice and relaxing. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, a beautiful terrace with an amazing view, and delicious homemade walnut baklava. Everything felt fresh and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try the food as well!

Service was ok, some staff were a bit miserable such as the lady taking payment and one waiter. The young female waitress was very sweet. They filled my glass very frequently which was nice. Great spot overlooking Leiden and the square. 3 stars just because I don't actually think the food was amazing. I think to charge 130 euros for my girlfriend and I for bang-average food just because of the location. Yeah whatever! If you're a foodie, I'm sure there are better places to be perfectly honest.

Yes, what a great choice this was. We had a delicious meal, and the staff was friendly. With a large group, we were served a kind of tapas concept in terms of dishes.

A wonderful discovery! Authentic and expertly prepared flavors. The sea bream was cooked perfectly: a melt-in-your-mouth fish, incredibly fresh, enhanced without being overdone. The tzatziki and pita breads added a remarkable freshness. You can taste the respect for the ingredients and the culinary expertise. The atmosphere is pleasant by the canal. A great place that I recommend to anyone looking for generous and flavorful Greek cuisine.

The food was really delicious and the portions were big enough to easily share if you like that. We sat outside, which created a nice atmosphere, but was also quite narrow, causing the waiters to occasionally come by with some difficulty. They were incredibly nice though, and helped us well. I was a huge fan of the calamari and moussaka!

We were early but not the first guests; the reception was curt, bordering on unfriendly. We quickly ordered some drinks and the menu was placed on the table. The food arrived quickly and we ate it all. Paid and left, that was about it. No atmosphere, no personal touch. The food is good but, in my opinion, too expensive for what you get. And on the bill: TIP IS NOT INCLUDED. We are in Leiden, not North America.

Unbelievable: €59 for two containers and zero service I am truly baffled. We ate here as a couple and had to pay €59 for two portions of souvlaki. A fair price for this food would be around €30 to €35, but certainly not nearly €60! Moreover, the portions were far too small: a few pieces of chicken breast, some potatoes, and a tiny bit of salad. It wasn't even enough for us, and we had to make our own rice at home to fill ourselves up. I eat Greek food often, but I have never experienced anything like this. For this price, you expect quality and service, but we were given cold plastic containers for a premium price. I will never come back here. Response to the owner: Thank you for your feedback. Let me start by saying: the quality of the food was good and we enjoyed it, but that is not the point here. For €30 per person, you should simply be able to feel satisfied. We came to pick up the food precisely because I didn't want to cook that day. But because the portions were so small, I still had to go into the kitchen at home to make extra rice because we were still hungry. That shouldn't happen when you pay €60. I have another free tip for you: rice and bread are not expensive. If you had added some extra rice or a few pieces of fresh bread, we would have been satisfied and I wouldn't have had to cook myself after all. I am always honest in my reviews and I hope you take this into account as an improvement for your future customers.

Very tasty food (though really on the pricey side), but a rude host who communicates unclearly and introduces a dish of the day without any explanation; particularly unwelcoming. Furthermore, not to mention the fact that a bottle of water is placed on the table without being ordered, and you have to pay 7.50 euros for it. Not a practice that makes me happy.

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, with super polite and friendly staff. We also had nice conversations with the owner. And then the food – truly world-class! We enjoyed it immensely.

we wanted to come in the restaurant and the owner(?) / manager refused us the seating claiming that they will not be able to serve us in an hour (there was another reserve in an hour from then). the only thing we wanted to was to have a quick drink and eat some bites, which we voiced to this person, yet we were still refused, because the owner did not want to « rush the kitchen ». That’s a pity, because I really loved the place, we came there with my family 3 years ago and i had amazing memories, and now i wanted to show it to my friends, at least for an hour, so hearing such a rude unapologetic response was definitely unexpected.

As true Greece lovers, we were looking forward to a truly "Greek" meal. The restaurant was beautiful and the service friendly. However, we unfortunately found the price-quality ratio unbalanced. Although the dishes tasted good (for me, the souflaki), we felt they weren't distinctive enough for the price. There were also no side dishes like salad and/or rice, which would provide a touch of variety instead of just meat and fries. On a busy Saturday night, you sit close together because it's not a large restaurant and it gets packed. We were seated at a round table, so my chair was halfway into the aisle, which made me feel cramped with waiters constantly walking by with trays. "Given our expectations, we ultimately found the experience somewhat disappointing; we won't be returning to Rodos Good Taste." This visit remains our only option.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Rodos showcases more of Greek cuisine than most other Greek restaurants I've encountered in the Netherlands. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place to dine. The food was top-notch, but the host and waiters made the difference. Despite all the tables being full, everyone received attention and felt welcome.

Always delicious here and the staff are friendly. It can be a bit drafty at times when people linger at the door, but that's manageable.

I wish there was a Greek food restaurant this outstanding back home! Trust Pavlos and the staff for warmth & outstanding dining. This time we enjoyed all the appetizers & artisanal Baklava ice cream. Hard to pick a favorite dish because they were each fabulous. Everything beautifully presented as art rich with colors. Pavlos paired the wine wonderfully with the food. Seated at the front window table, we saw passerby's longingly look at our dishes. Whenever I am in The Netherlands, I make certain to dine at Rodos.

Food is so amazing here; we never know what to choose because it all seems great. Both of my experiences here were that I left with a very very satisfied stomach and experience. The staff is really friendly and just... the vibe of Rodos makes you feel like you are on holiday. Prices are a bit expensive but it's worth it if you want to treat yourself. Highly recommend!

Charming restaurant in the center of Leiden. A bit noisy though, as the tables aren't far apart. I found it a bit too dark inside. The staff was friendly, but communication wasn't always great. The food was good quality. The starters were delicious, and the meat for the main course was wonderfully tender. The dessert, the baklava, was sweet but very tasty! We had a lovely evening!

2 nights ago we went for dinner at Rodos restaurant. What a gem! Food, service, atmosphere were excellent so 6 stars from us. We had a variety of dishes fresh, homemade, tasteful and well presented. We will definitely visit soon and thank you for your warm hospitality!

You're not welcome between 3 and 5, not even for a drink. It's not clearly stated anywhere, and it's not communicated politely at all. The man likes to get into (unwanted) arguments with you. What a shame!

The food was nothing special and very salty, with only one cube of feta in the Greek salad. Apparently, for authentic Greek cuisine, you really have to go to Greece.

Prices are deceptive. You pay €45 per person for the mezedes, which ultimately only contained a few bites of meat. The quantity was extremely disappointing.

Delicious food, small menu but highly recommended

We visited Rodos Good Taste Restaurant hoping for a nice dinner but unfortunately, we had to leave before even placing an order. One of the waiters was rude, cynical, and completely disrespectful from the moment we arrived. In Greece, we’ve always had warm and welcoming experiences at restaurants, but here was the opposite. The staff member’s attitude made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Hospitality matters – and sadly, it was completely missing here.

Really good fish, great service and atmosphere. Their mint infused ouzo is amazing as well.

Das Restaurant war unter der Woche nicht stark besucht. Der Service aber sehr freundlich und nett. Man kann sich in verschiedenen Sprachen unterhalten. Die Weine sind alle aus Griechenland und sehr gut. Die Speisekarte für einen Griechen sehr übersichtlich, hat aber trotzdem alles was man dort isst. Pulpo als Vorspeise mit dem passendem Weisswein, Ein Gedicht. Lamm und Huhn als Hauptgang, ebenfalls zum Geniessen. Dazu der passende Rotwein Und natürlich ein Dessert. Danach gab es noch einen Uso aufs Haus. Vielen Dank es war ein super gemütlicher Abend.

Went here with a friend for lunch and had such a great experience. We were in the mood for good comfort food, and Rodos Good Taste delivered exactly that. We initially asked to move to a different table for a bit more shade, and the staff handled it immediately and kindly, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and what stood out was how attentive the team was. Whenever we needed something, they noticed and responded right away. It’s a lovely place to relax, eat well, and feel genuinely welcomed. We’ll definitely be coming back!

As a greek that lives in the Netherlands, I've been to a good amount of restaurants looking for decent greek taste, and I've never tasted anything like it. And I swear it tastes even better than some greek restaurants in Greece. Such great quality of ingredients and so nicely made. We will definitely visit again and recommend anyone to visit there.

This restaurant is wonderful. Service: second to none. Venue: perfect - we began the meal on the canal at sunset (starters and drinks), then continued with our main meals inside the restaurant. Food: portions generous, great quality, very tasty, and certainly with the ‘home made’ vibe. Thank you to the Owner and his great team.

Niet echt een gezellig restaurant. Modern en weinig Grieks. De kaart vermeldt wel Griekse gerechten, maar alleen de saus had bij ons een Grieks tintje. De inktvisringen konden net zo goed Zeeuws, Leids of Duits zijn. Hetzelfde geldt voor de gegrilde kipfilet; gewoon kip dus met een sausje. De gerechten stonden vrij snel achter elkaar op tafel, waardoor we het idee kregen dat de tafel weer snel vrij moest zijn. Tempo eten dus. Maar de gerechten waren van goede kwaliteit, dat wel.

The restaurant is in a great location. The service is very bad. Drinks (2 glasses of wine) after more than half an hour. The food was brought backwards. Waiting again…..🤨🧐 Price performance far too expensive.

The food was OK, nothing special for the price. I would say that the prices were disproportionate for what we got. We were expecting more honestly. We waited more than an hour for the food, they didn't apologize whatsoever. On the other hand, their attitude was terrible, they did not greet us goodbye and overall they were acting really arrogant towards us. I would not recommend this place, really overrated!
