The food is of good quality, the staff is very friendly, and the service is good.

We dined here with 30 guests after our wedding. Flawless communication, very good food, friendly service in 3 languages. Very happy that we chose Dionysos.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my experience. I ordered the lamb chops medium-rare, but they were served well-done and also very bland and lacked seasoning, which was disappointing for a Greek restaurant and considering the relatively high price. The potatoes and vegetables were not freshly prepared. They had a noticeably stale, reheated texture and seemed like they had been sitting for quite some time. The “homemade lemonade” was another disappointment. It was extremely sweet and syrupy and tasted more like water mixed with a very large amount of syrup than freshly made lemonade. The sweetness was so overpowering that I could barely drink it. My companions were also served dishes with the same quality. If you are a foodie like me and care about the quality of the dish and ingredients, this restaurant is not for you. But if you can’t differentiate between good and bad food and culinary quality then you would be among those high rating reviewers.

In Amsterdam, I think Dionyssos is the best restaurant.

The restaurant is located beneath a large old building and cannot exactly be called inviting. The portions are very disappointing and also quite tasteless. It is a shame that you have to pay extra for many standard items. An ouzo beforehand, which you get at almost every Greek restaurant, was also not included. So, for us, this is the last time.

Poor service and not all the dishes on the menu were available

I ate at this restaurant today; the staff was friendly and it was a cozy restaurant, but I really didn't like the food. We ordered a meat platter which was on the table within five minutes, but the meat was incredibly dry; I had to chew for a very long time before I could finish it. Very disappointing.

We had a delicious meal and a very friendly host.

We opted for 2 small dishes and 1 main course. I love cherries and the homemade lemonade is full of cherry flavor. A bit sweet for me, but not overly so. Friendly staff and prompt service for a busy evening. We had been there once before and we will definitely go back again.

It was really good and pleasantly busy, and everything was truly fresh daily, with very good service and excellent explanations of what everything was if you asked. There was only one waitress I knew; I go there often and for a long time. I definitely recommend making a reservation. Dogs are allowed inside. It was amazing there.

Went here for my birthday and very glad I did! The food was delicious and the service was great. The staff was friendly to our dog and the waitress was very helpful. Both the atmosphere and restaurant itself were lovely. Recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The food was fantastic. We had kleftiko, mixed grill and greek salad, all perfect. The desert -pachlava-like pastry with cream - was eye-rolling.

The food was amazing and the service as well, such a good atmosphere and everybody was so warm and kind. We had a nice chat with the waitress and she gave us special drinks with glitter in it✨ She and her colleague created this signature cocktail themselves with kumquats liquor, it was so special and every detail of it seemed to have a lot of thought into it. We really felt welcomed and had a great time, thank you!!!

Best restaurant in Rotterdam, I have visited them 7 times during my 3 weeks staying in this City. Meet is so delicious, soft and juicy. Tomato soup is my favourite, spicy and tasty. It's a fairly large restaurant, reasonably cozy but nothing special. The food was fine but nothing special, and the prices are comparable to other restaurants.

I've eaten here several times. The options are wide and there's something for everyone. It's always relatively quiet, so booking far in advance isn't necessary, and the wait time isn't long. The food itself is also very good! The restaurant is easily accessible by almost any means of transport.

This charming restaurant is located on a rather dull square. It's attractively decorated and offers plenty of seating. The owner is friendly and an enthusiastic salesperson. The food is simply good and delicious. It's within walking distance of the train and tram. It's a great place to combine a meal with a movie or some shopping.

This is the best place in Rotterdam! I had the best food, the waiters were extremely nice and they had also good 🎶. I definitely recommend it and I am looking forward to the next visit.

The Greek restaurant always has a special taste and beautiful flavor. I have visited it more than three times. Their food is delicious. I have tasted most of their meals and they were distinctive. I recommend it. Their reception is beautiful, kind, and friendly. They help you choose. I hope they continue to excel.

The service at Dionysos is friendly. Service is also quick. The food is also excellent. The gyros is delicious, but the chicken skewer was less flavorful, bland, and a bit dry. The tenderloin was also delicious, but the pepper sauce was less than stellar.

We love coming to this authentic Greek restaurant, and we've been coming for ages. Pikila + Saganaki (Graviera) + meat platter, our standard recommendation. The wines are of good quality and price. For a fantastic evening and delicious food, you have to try this place.

We ate here two weeks ago. We really enjoyed it (good service, nice ambiance and delicious food!l) and will gladly return when we are in Rotterdam.

TLDR; We left with empty stomach after waiting 2h45m for the main dish and salad that never arrived (reservation at 18:00, no food by 20:45). They said we were the only ones who complained that day for having to wait that long and offered no apology 😃 We didn’t receive any updates from the service about the food, and waited there clueless for hours without being offered even water. This made us feel very stressed. On the plus side? We enjoyed the Tsipouro and we didn’t have to pay for leaving hungry, thank you for your hospitality 🇬🇷 Food: Best tyrokafteri and great ‘ntakos’, that’s the only thing we managed to have before our unpleasant departure. Service: Sad. Atmosphere: Good, with live music. Honestly, Dionysos, happy 40 years anniversary! Maybe we were just the weird ones for not willing to wait 3 hours for food.

I will be honest food (the few bites of breads and tyrokafteri we had) looked good and atmosphere nice but we were there for three houra and not even the salad came…they had anniversary and the restaurant was full but i was a waitress in a greek restaurant of the same size where we had that much people every weekend and really never someone waited more than 45 min for their food!!!! We are Greeks and all the rest of the clients were Dutch my honest opinion is that they are these kind of people who just want to please their regular Dutch clients and they don’t care about keeping happy the other who might be clients of one time….if you are a Greek person and you think of going don’t they don’t deserve it…

Good food and extremely friendly staff

A beautifully decorated restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff! The tables and chairs are all arranged differently and not all next to each other in a row or very close together. The food was very tasty, I had the Fileto Moscharisio and a lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream. Both were delicious! The staff was very friendly and regularly asked if it tasted good. There was no dessert menu on the website, but one was given to us after the main course. I have added these to the photos. The nearest tram stop is Kruisplein, from there it is a few minutes' walk.

What immediately struck me when we entered was the super friendly staff. They are very hospitable and very attentive. The interior is very cozy and open with enough space for guests. The food is good and delicious. What we couldn't find on the website are desserts, but apparently they do have them and they are delicious! The only downside is the toilet areas. They are spacious, but not very clean. The ground was sticky too. All in all, this restaurant is definitely recommended when you are in Rotterdam!

After a visit to IFFR on the way to a restaurant without a reservation in advance. Our eye fell on Dionysos. We didn't give ourselves much of a chance. All tables looked occupied. However, after a warm welcome upon arrival, a newly vacated table was immediately set for us. After a delicious meal, we left the restaurant (with a varied menu, great hospitality, friendly and attentive employees) with a smile on our faces. It is highly recommended.

Our favorite Greek restaurant for years. In addition to the experience and service, the atmosphere inside is very pleasant. It is cold and bleak outside, but inside it is warm, cozy and authentically Greek. Choice for everyone, even vegetarians. Although I personally find vegetarians and Greek food a strange combination. After all, Our Lord gave us incisors for a reason. What else should you say about it, go there, order and experience it. Regular live performances by Greek bands and then the party is complete. But anyone who has ever visited Greece already knew that.

Great food! Greek starter and main course, which I have not eaten before, even though I have been going on holiday to Greece for years and several times a year!! Very friendly staff and up for a joke. We felt very welcome, even though we were the last to leave the tent and they undoubtedly wanted to go home too :-)

For us the worst restaurant we have been to. We have never been finished in an hour at a restaurant. Starter, main course and desert. We started with meatballs in red sauce. The meatballs were the same size as the ones you put in the soup. There were 5 balls on it and there was no sauce. This was finely chopped tomato and it was not tasty. I had the gyro platter My wife had a large skewer dish. The gyros dish, it was not the gyros as gyros should be. They were chunks of meat and the taste was certainly not Greek and far too tough. There was no salad or some greenery with the tzatziki, which was just enough to cover a piece of toast, so it was very sparse. The skewer was also very tough and the taste, well what can I say. This also includes a mini paper container of tzatziki. No greens or salad either. The dessert A lady blanche and a mixed ice cream. The lady blanche and ash old ice cream and therefore very crystallized, the warm chocolate sauce was the chocolate sauce from a bottle from the supermarket and the whipped cream from a cheap spray bottle from the supermarket. The mixed I was no different and also with whipped cream as I mentioned. We go on holiday to Greece twice a year, so we know what Greek food is and should be. Never again for us and therefore not recommended.

Welcome was friendly and so was the service. Starter Tzatziki with bread and Dakos was fine and tasty. Main course was Souflaki. Here I was disappointed that a sauce from a jar was served and not fresh Tzatziki. The vegetables and potatoes as a side dish had apparently been standing for a long time and were dry. The Choriatiki contained lettuce (which is not normal) and 1 piece of pepper. In short, 3 stars

Authentic greek food with delicious taste, you can tell is made by locals. Enough quantity to make you full, for sure! Reasonably priced, kind service and wide menu with also typical greek drinks, would recommend either for friends or date
