Why has the store been closed for months?

Price quality ratio is a bit off just like most food in the Markthal. The Markthal rent is very expensive so it’s understandable.

I usually find Greek restaurants good, but this one was rather mediocre. It took ages to get our drinks. We even had to ask for them ourselves every time because they didn't ask after one round of drinks. I was very disappointed with the calamari starter; it had a lot of tough stringy bits in it. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly beforehand. The main course was also served while we were still eating. And they took our plates away while we were still eating. There were still bits of calamari on the plate, which wasn't very nice. The main course was fine. Overall, I thought it was a mediocre experience.

Wanted to eat here. I couldn't make a reservation on the website, so I just went there. Turns out the restaurant was closed! And there was no mention of it on the website! This is terrible... This regular thing is off our agenda.

Just good food for a reasonable price. Good souvlaki and tsaziki! Service very friendly!

My twin sister and I had dinner at this restaurant on Sunday evening, December 1. The service of the food was very smooth and the food was very tasty. But the staff cannot speak Dutch well.

Group of 15 people. We are a quiet, friendly group. The food was ok but the service was a very unpleasant experience. Upon arrival, the guests who were already there had not yet been provided with a drink. When the entire group was finally inside and on time, it took at least fifteen minutes before someone came to take our drink order. First half of the table, walking away and then the other half. When we indicated that we would also like something to eat on the table, such as bread or spreads, the lady with curly hair rolled her eyes. "Ok but what do you want then"? Maybe bread or starters, what would you recommend? It depends what you want. Uhm, you work here, make it a bit fun? Just add bread and spreads. How much do you want annoyed as if she had more to do. You can estimate how much that should be, as staff you also know the quantities. That's what I said. Now it comes. 3 bowls with 5 mini pita breads for 15 people. Had to ask the nice bar boy if we could have more bread. Again no drinks requested for the second round. So back to the bar boy. They would be better off putting them into service. He saw everything and was very quick. When it came we ordered the main courses. That takes a while and I understand that. Again we didn't ask if we wanted anything else. We are a big group. You can certainly make some money from drinking. Then the food came, which was fine. But someone didn't get a plate. The staff didn't notice that either. So speak to someone again, we are missing a meal. Staring at a cash register with 3 people and then saying "your meal takes 10 minutes longer". Then I said no, you just forgot" you forgot. And walked away. Then never had a drink again. Oh yeah! When we ordered the main course the lady looked at her watch, yeah you still got time. It was 8 o'clock.. and they were not exactly quick to answer. Then we were asked if we wanted dessert, but no one was really interested because it was not that nice I think you can eat here with just the two of them. They can't handle groups. Unkind, stressed and uninterested. The girl with the short hair and the bartender were the best. The girl with curly hair would be better off working in the elderly home.

Very bad experience, pie almost uncooked, gyro they don't have just roast pork, tzatziki from the supermarket. I would make a better gyro pie at home. Pity...

I happened to pass by there.. the shop window won me over! Because we have a lot of Greek in the Netherlands. But this made the difference! The difference is that it has that authentic taste that we used to say back then with our friends in Greece, let's go for a pitogiro! That's exactly it! I hope it doesn't change and this image of taste remains! I have been to many Greek restaurants in the Netherlands, but this restaurant really brought me back to the authentic flavors of Greece. Tastiest gyros in town. 03-11-2024 After 10 minutes, no one had come to the table with a card or to ask for something to drink. Left disappointed. Was a regular customer but not anymore.

On my last day in Rotterdam, early summer, I wanted to eat in the Markthal and I went to this Greek restaurant where some dishes were present outside as well as the menu. The atmosphere and the employees, friendly, not too many people this Wednesday lunchtime, 2 glasses of red accompanying my meal.

I ordered a Gyros Pita for take away. The pita was cold and not properly backed. The Gyros was cold and not tasty at all. It was my first and definitely my last order there!! Had to pay at the Barkeeper, he could not even calculate 50-9.5-3.75 🤦🏻‍♂️

What a truly great restaurant. The food was incredible, tasty and they had so much choice. The staff were incredible and so friendly and in particular I loved the fact that one of the staff members in particular was so personal and just took some time to chat with us for a bit about life in the Netherlands. It really made the experience for me as you can go to some restaurants and they you feel like a number walking thought he door and I would definitely revisit when I'm back in Rotterdam but I do have to apologise to the chef for the apple sauce inside my gyro but it was delicious 😂

Good greek restaurant, but food is just ok. As soon as we ordered, the pita gyros came straight to the table. It was luke warm and did not taste fresh.

The staff is friendly and the food is great. However a bit overpriced. 10€ for a pita gyros!!! With this money you can eat better (meal portion, different tastes) in Markthal

Ate here via Social Deal. The mixed grill portion is sufficient, taste is ok. The sausage that came with it was delicious. I didn't like the calemaris. Service was good and smooth. Tzatziki is extremely tasty.

Some waitresses are friendlier than others. It has a bathroom for clients (it's important there hahaha) I liked the food but I don't give it five stars because it's an expensive place.

Food is perfect, pork and chicken meat taste delicious, even the fish is great. They greet you with a smile and are happy to talk about anything while ordering food. It is also clean and not expensive! I will happily continue visiting this place, even after years of coming back to them.

Nice restaurant in the Markthal. The gyros meat is really very good. I find the prices excessive in relation to the quantity. I thought the Greeks were more generous. The staff is nice but the service needs to be improved.

Had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon on "the balcony" in the market hall. Delicious! Service friendly, toilets clean. Worth repeating. We also ate here on a Thursday evening via Social Deal. The top floor was closed, so the downstairs was full and there were also some people outside on the terrace. This time my fellow table companion did not think the food was special and not that tasty. I, on the other hand, liked it, not that enormous grilled flavor that you taste at most Greek restaurants, but less flavorful and a bit bland in terms of spices, but I liked it. But not worth repeating by my table companion. Staff friendly and toilets clean. Parking is available in the market hall itself. For a cheaper evening rate, contact Interparking for the applicable rate.

For what you pay and the location where it is located, you expect more!!! We almost blew the place out of there, there was so much draught. Staff not very friendly. Food was minimal. We have had better experiences at other Greek restaurants.

Went to this restaurant last Monday with a friend. We agreed to catch up again. First walked through the Markthal and saw this restaurant from the inside. Then found a spot on the outside on the terrace. Had a drink first, it was very hot that day. Then ordered food. She grilled the salmon on the skin and I had the Gyros a la Chef. Could choose from pork or chicken meat. But try chicken. Both tasted delicious. Fries and salad were included. My girlfriend drank a few Imiglikos and I drank Coca Cola. There are also plenty of tables on the ground floor and even more upstairs. From above you can look inside the Markthal. Toilets are only upstairs and accessible via stairs. That was no problem for us. It is highly recommended to go for a meal. Will definitely come back.

Inflation is not doing this thing any good. The food was also good, but I think this is a bit poor for 20 euros

Went here for dinner with a friend through a social deal. 26.95. 3 courses. Without drinks. To be honest, neither of us were really impressed by it. The calamaris was beautifully served but quite soft. My main course was Gyros. Both chicken and pork. I thought I would get this separately but it was mixed up. The meat dish was good and the large slice of Baklava was delicious. It's great that you can try these restaurants with SD, but it remains a one-off for us. With drinks we lost 41 euros. Nice view. And nice staff. Nowadays that is also worth something.

Years ago they had a good mixed grill here for a nice price. After not having been there for a while (about 3 years), I decided to eat here again. Of course I understand that everything is becoming more expensive, but this was really not okay. Fries limp, Calamari limp and the Gyros too greasy and salty to eat. Was a very bad experience, for 30 euros. Maybe it was a bad moment, but even when we responded that it was not good, nothing happened to the staff.

I can say that it was like I was in Greece, all the food was very perfect and very tasty but also in quantity very satisfying, also we loved the service of the staff where they were with a calm smile without stress and willing to bring you that if you need, they even brought us a dining seat for our child, something that hardly exists in Greece, in the end you are very far ahead, well done, I hope we will visit you again sometime.

The taste of the food is good, but the portions are really too small for the price. After a dish for 2 people of €32, we were still very hungry.

Very expensive and low quality. The only thing we liked was the Greek salad, which they didn't have to cook of course, because they are raw vegetables. The lasagna was very heavy and with a lot of potatoes. The combined fish plate, hahaha, the only fish there was was salmon and it was smoked from a package! Everything else was fried, the prawns seemed pre-cooked and were refried, very dry, the mussels were pre-cooked and frozen for sure, and squid was the only thing you could eat. I advise ordering just the salad, or looking for another place to eat.

The atmosphere is cliché for a taverna. The service is quick. The pita's are satisfying.

Came here via a social deal that offered a 2 course diner. I had meatballs which were u fortunately a bit on the dry side and not very warm, but my friend had something like apiced rice rolled in wineleaves, which was delicious. Our main was the same: a meat platter. With a generous portion of meat. The serving platter looked like that of a fastfood restaurant but the content was better. Meat was tender and not dry. Fries on the otherhand were a bit on the cold side and there was no sauce to dip them in to our surprise.

The food was delicious, but the problem is the size of the portions compared to the price; it looks like a children's menu. Far too small portions for the price! The staff who served us did not speak Dutch. Shame. The upstairs location is pleasant and the interior is nicely decorated.

We have been coming here for years, the service has deteriorated tremendously. We wanted to order a mixed grill dish, but we don't eat all types of meat and asked if it was possible to put together something else. It was indicated that it was all difficult and that we would then receive a whole dish of chicken. In the end they charged €20 extra for 4 lamb chops on top of our dish. Without consultation. Really ridiculous!! We always enjoyed coming here, but this was the last time!

Very good products, very friendly welcome but unfortunately my companion ordered a main course and a dessert and did not get what he had asked for. Fortunately it was still very good but when he said to the waiter for dessert: "Is this really a white lady?" The latter replied "yes" even though it was the trio of strawberry, pistachio, vanilla ice cream. Regarding the dish, we asked for squid and we received just meat. Not speaking the language well, we gave up. Reasonable, correct addition.

Pitta Souvlaki was delicious. and my bottom is wet from all those farts. I won't eat here again. But you have to find out for yourself at your own risk.

We went for lunch at noon, we ordered muzaka and a gyros from the chef (which already generates high expectations) the food arrived lukewarm and immediately got cold. The potatoes didn't taste like anything and the texture was ugly. The muzaka was bland, dry and cold. And the gyros didn't stand out at all. I thought it was super expensive for what it was. I do not recommend.

The spices weren't authentic on the gyros and overall it was a bit dry. The atmosphere was nice as well as the staff.

The food was tasty and not heavy, but we found it less pleasant... Unfortunately the young lady came to clear the plates without asking, for example how we liked the meal... Not a professional. As a Greek I didn't like the atmosphere as much.

Surprisingly good food. Quality meat, well prepared. Excellent staff. Good position. If you like meat, we definitely recommend it. For baklava dessert, take the version with ice cream.

I've eaten here four times now and have mixed feelings. I like the convenient location inside Markthal, the pleasant atmosphere, and the personnel is very friendly. The dishes however are a bit of a mixed bag. I love the bougatsa and the cooked meals like moussaka are good. The gyros tends to be dry, and while the souvlaki is juicy the rest of the dish is nothing more than decent. It's not disappointing, but just unassuming. The side salads are characterless though. Still, I do like the restaurant and would probably stop by again whenever I feel like Greek food and am not close to any of my favourite Greek restaurants.

Het eten was heerlijk . Wel vind ik het vreemd dat er op de salade geen geitenkaas zit. Dit hebben we erbij moeten bestellen .( 10 euro) . Ook ben ik gewend dat wanneer je aan tafel gaat zitten een ouzo krijg . Verder hele goede sfeer , fijn personeel en lekker eten .

Ongelooflijk lekker gegeten! De smaak is zo intens authentiek grieks dat je letterlijk de smaak van Griekenland proeft. Dankjewel voor deze geweldige ervaring. Great greek food! Meat is always tender and tasty! Big variety of greek wines! Personnel is always very friendly and cheerful! Everything, combined with the music, creates the perfect environment to enjoy a dinner!

Lekker Grieks restaurant in de Markthal. Wel altijd druk dus op tijd reserveren. Aardig personeel en leuk dat je aan de ingang de gerechten ( in plastic vorm ) tentoongesteld kunt zien liggen. In het echt ziet het eten er precies hetzelfde uit.

Me ha encantado el lugar. Cuando lleguen suban las escaleras antes de ordenar. Es más agradable comer disfrutando de la vista. Deliciosa Carne y acompañamientos. Atención rápida y amable y de Los mejores precios del hall. En realidad muy grato momento. Volveré definitivamente.

Toevallig met collega’s terecht gekomen na een congres. Heerlijk gegeten, de portie was groter dan verwacht, goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding! En ook nog heel lekker. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Unglaublich gutes Essen! Wir hatten die Fleischplatte für 2 Personen, das Essen war reichlich, das Fleisch von guter Qualität und auf den Punkt gewürzt und zubereitet. Auch der griechische Kaffee zum Abschluss war sehr lecker!
