The restaurant offers friendly service and welcomes you with complimentary ouzo shots. The ambiance is unique, resembling a slice of a Greek island. Everything is kept spotless, including the bathroom. We opted for the chefs’ menu for €29, which is an excellent deal! It’s a three-course meal with generous portions. We’ll definitely be returning to this place.

Had a fantastic meal. Everything tasted great, the meat was wonderfully tender, tried the mix of starter and main course for 2 people. No regrets.

The food was a disappointment. All the dishes we tried were subpar. I don't recommend the calamari, nor the halloumi cheese. The portions were small (8 pieces of calamari) and they had a sweet sauce which doesn't fit them at all. The gyro was dry and bland. And the tzatziki was a mess. It was also very expensive. 120 euro for 2 people. I love Greek food, but this restaurant doesn't live up to the expectations.

Really nice place. The service was exceptional, and chefs really cooperative. Due to an alergy I had to a dish because of one specific ingredient, they were willing to change the recipe so I could still get to try the dish that I so wanted. But to put it in simple words "Amazing people with delicous and unique food".

We ate at Kostas for the first time today. The Greek restaurant in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel was on vacation, so we tried something new. The service was friendly, but the portion size disappointed us. We had ordered the Gyros platter. We were already forced to choose between fries or rice. When the food arrived at the table, it was a sad little plate to us. No salad, just one lettuce leaf, one cucumber slice, half a tomato slice, a bit of fries, and a bit of Gyros. And that for €25 per platter. Plus another €1 for a small bowl of mayo. The food was okay, but the meat wasn't top-notch and certainly not the quality you expect. We are used to better for that price. This was a one-time visit for us.

Grilled sardines were decent. The calamari was also decent. Quite a large portion, though. The service was friendly, but our dirty starter plates were still on the table when the main course arrived, so we had to clear the plates ourselves.

The staff was also very pleasant and friendly. They really go the extra mile and are very sociable. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also nice.

First impression was the warm welcome. You really feel at ease when you enter the restaurant. We loved the food, I myself had the Bifteki and it was amazing! My wife had the Giorgos that was also really tasty. The personel was very friendly and really had a great way with kids. I recommend coming here as a family or with a group of friends. 5/5

Unfortunately, with one menu that includes fries, we only received one mini piece of fries on both menus. With the mixed grill platter, I got the end of the sausage, so not a whole sausage like usual. There were also drunk Poles who had clearly used something else making noise and picking fights with each other the whole time.

Made a reservation for two people on February 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The food was good, although there were a few minor issues with the starter and main course, but they were resolved quickly. The service was friendly. Everything seemed fine until we received the bill at 7:15 PM without asking or saying anything. According to the waitress, the manager had to do this because of the crowds, urging people to leave quickly after they'd finished. My husband was still drinking his beer, and he left it out of frustration and pressure. The next day, after letting it sink in, I called the manager and filed a complaint. According to the gentleman, he didn't mention this. He said it usually takes two hours for a good meal, and he would discuss it with the waitress and promise to call back. On February 27, 2026, I still haven't called back. I contacted the manager again and said I hadn't spoken to the waitress yet. "I'll do this on Sunday, March 1st, and call you back on Monday, March 2nd." I'm still waiting. Not customer friendly at all.

Good morning. I had lunch here. The food was very good, and the company was great too. I recommend this place. There's live music on February 28th. I highly recommend it for lovers of Greek music. The head chef is very good at her job.

We ate with a group of 8 using Social Deal. The service was friendly. A huge disappointment was that most dishes came with a surcharge. That makes a three-course menu of almost €30 quite pricey, and the portions weren't very large. The quality was reasonable, not wow. Social Deal is nice, but make sure there's plenty of choice without extra charges.

A true gold mine! You would never expect such great food to honestly be located in such a low key place. Delicious food, Vegetarian/Vegan options available, and equally as good food as genuinely being back to Greece. Definitely a MUST TRY OUT imo.

On a weekday without an event, it's quiet. One person serving is enough, but that's responsible for the 5-star service. The meat is excellent quality, flavorful, and generously sized. The moussaka was a bit mushy. All in all, this place is definitely recommended.

It's a very cozy place. The atmosphere is pleasant, and you really feel at home. The staff are passionate about their work. And the food doesn't take long to arrive. It's fresh and delicious.

Yesterday, around 6:45 PM, I placed an order for 4 meals. Around 8:00 PM, I called to ask where they were. They said they would deliver within 5 minutes, but offered no apology for the inconvenience. After half an hour, one meal arrived, and I called again, again without an apology, saying it would be delivered within 5 minutes, but it took about half an hour. The meat was tasty, but everything else was lukewarm. We didn't get our food until around 9:00 PM, and it was quite expensive. A big letdown for us. We normally eat there regularly, but we won't be doing so again.

Dear Greek, I accidentally placed an order for pickup via Thuiszorgd. I called them and actually had to pay delivery costs, but I didn't have any cash and then they charged me, really sweet, I've ordered from them more often.

I did notice a few things that weren't so positive, which is something I'm not used to at Kostas. It was Sunday evening, 5:30, and the salad bar was practically empty, especially at the beginning of the evening. Some flattened fries and something else that used to be edible were scattered on the floor, which the waitstaff kept circling, and no one bothered to clear away. It was a bit unappetizing. Then there's the social deal offer. There's a special menu for this offer, which is fine in itself, except that most dishes have an extra charge ranging from 2 to 5 euros. That can't be the point of a social deal. So much for the negatives. The starter, a bit of baguette with some spreads, was nothing special; I've had better. The main course, the mixed grill, was excellent, just as we're used to at Kostas. The dessert, ice cream with a crepe and chocolate sauce, was delicious and worth repeating.

We last visited this restaurant two years ago, and we found it terrible, and unfortunately, our visit last night showed nothing had changed. The food was far too salty, the calamari was frozen, and so were the shrimp, both of which tasted very watery. The service was excellent: fast and friendly. We miss the delicious meals served in the tiny restaurant.

The food was cold. There was no warming tray for the dishes. The salad bar wasn't replenished when food was running low. Fries and rice were served together on a small plate. It looked messy, and there was a string of lights hanging down that required ducking to reach the tables.

Very disappointing. Ordered for over €75, less than a kilometre away on a Tuesday evening. After calling several times and being told that it was “on its way”, the food only arrived after 1 hour and 45 minutes. That is not only bad, but downright antisocial. And then you finally sit down to eat and think: did I seriously wait this long for this? The food was fine, but the fun was long gone. If you charge such prices, also provide service. This makes no sense, never again for us.

Greek restaurant in Rotterdam-Ombloed. It is a surprisingly cozy location. Not what you expect in a shopping center. There was live music and singing and there was a Greek couple who occasionally danced along. Very entertaining. Food not great in relation to the price. We had a dish for 2 people with 1 piece of steak, 1 lamb chop and 1 mini souflaki skewer for each person. There was a bit of moussaka, but it was mostly giros. The salad buffet was good, but for example no olives. Furthermore, I think it is a shame that the waitress only spoke English. That's not a plus. Overall it is positive, because we had a nice evening in a very pleasant environment.

We enjoyed it, we arrived at 7pm and left around 10pm. We thought it took a while before we got food. We had to wait about an hour for that. Fortunately there was a good atmosphere and it was clearly very busy.

A cozy tent They could renovate the large sofa in the middle in terms of appearance. But otherwise very neat and as far as I'm concerned, don't give your glass of real ouzo a diluted version with bitterlemon....it takes away the entire taste of the ouzo.

Dear people, please never make the decision to eat here!!!!!! Mega bad! Had reservations for 1730 (dinner time) NOBODY INSIDE! Welcome drink was lemon juice instead of ouzo! Starter €7.90 (2 fried mussels with some rotten red onions. I didn't let it get any further, I ended up with some fries at the Febo! Had to pay €27 for some mussels and a glass of wine from Aldi!!!! So think before you start or give your dog a nice evening

Ordered by my cousin with Thuisbezorgd without me knowing it. I was skeptical when I saw the 3.2 rating. With the majority of reviews being negative about delivery time. But.. I judged too soon. Delivery was on time, food, good. Would recommend? Yes.

Everyone has their own taste, but the food reminds me more of a shawarma shop. There's nothing wrong with that in itself, it's just that it's too expensive. I wouldn't pay €210 for 5 people in a shawarma shop.

Ordered food yesterday, where I had the chicken gyros. When I opened it I didn't think it smelled nice, I took 2 bites and then let my girlfriend taste it, who also thought it tasted strange. In the end I thought the taste was so strange that after 3 bites of chicken I only ate the fries. Threw everything out 1 hour after eating! 22 euros further. Food was not good and it is way too expensive
