Good qualitative food accompanied by nice friendly service 👌 It does worth the money and the time spent there. Cozy atmosphere, I will definitely come back again.

It has become a really beautiful place! Previously, quite a few years ago, it was called “Nazar”; we used to go there for dessert and it was delicious, the menu has multiple choices.. the service is friendly and the atmosphere is very nice!

New owner, the menu is smaller than before. Dishes are more authentic Greek. It was very tasty, though. You could tell that the owner had lost some of his enthusiasm in recent years. I also witnessed internal arguments among the staff. The food was inconsistently good back then. The new owners have kept the old name. I hope things start to improve from now on; the menu design looks better too. In any case, I had a great meal.

We dined here two out of two days during our stay in Rotterdam. Friendly staff, excellent service, and good food, with plenty of vegetarian options.

I was at the opening of the new Olympia yesterday. The new menu was really nice and the food was super tasty! The atmosphere was very cozy, and the service was friendly. The cocktails were delicious too!

A few weeks ago, I went to eat at Olympia with three other ladies. We meet up fairly regularly to grab a bite to eat somewhere in the city, and because my experience at Olympia last winter was actually very positive, it seemed like a good place for me to return to. The ladies arrived a little earlier than me, and unfortunately, a somewhat awkward start ensued right from the start. They had a table in mind but were told that the spot wouldn't be suitable because the sun would move later in the day, meaning we would be sitting directly in the sun. Eventually, they decided to indicate that we would like to sit there anyway and would move if necessary. However, that moment never came, because the sun didn't move in our direction. As a result, we were left wondering why they made such a fuss about that table in the first place. It's a shame, because such a small detail can really influence how you start an evening. The food was also a bit less impressive this time than I remembered from Olympia. Not bad, but simply not the level that had made me so enthusiastic after my previous visit. What I missed most was the casual and personal atmosphere that I really enjoyed last time. Back then, there were pleasant conversations with the owner, and it all felt very accessible and relaxed. Our service this evening, however, was quite closed off and withdrawn. It wasn't until we went to pay that there was more interaction, and we saw a bit more of the person behind the service. Perhaps it just wasn't his night; that is certainly possible. Precisely because I experienced Olympia differently this time, I find it difficult to give a definitive verdict based on just this one evening. Based solely on this visit, I wouldn't immediately recommend Olympia. At the same time, I know from personal experience that it can be very different there. That is why I definitely want to go back again. Just to find out if this was an unfortunate evening, or if the atmosphere and experience have actually changed in the meantime.

This week I said goodbye to Olympia Kitchen Bar, the restaurant where my family, friends, and I had been coming for about 35 years, even when it was still simply called Olympia. A restaurant that honored Greek hospitality with excellent dishes and friendly, experienced staff. Unfortunately, this restaurant has gradually changed and is now nothing more than a mediocre establishment. Last Wednesday, August 5th, the restaurant really took the cake. The menus placed in front of us had long been in need of replacement, the wine list showed traces of a spilled ‘liquid’ and rings, and was, in short, downright filthy. When taking our drinks order, I initially asked for fresh orange juice. But I changed my mind when my granddaughter asked for a glass of wine and I said, “I’ll have a glass of wine too, please.” To my surprise, the waitress brought the juice I had sent back anyway. A moment later, the “host” stormed over to the table; I hadn’t explicitly canceled the juice, and he placed the glass on the table containing more “pulp” than juice. Next, we asked for a bottle of Spa Blue; just give us a whole liter. We received a bottle of still tap water. There could be no doubt that it was tap water, not only because the water had a strange chlorine aftertaste, but also because the waitress, when asked about it, hesitantly confirmed that it was tap water. Cost € 6.50. Tip for a future customer: ask for the BOTTLE of Spa Blue. The dolmades were excellent and hot. This was in contrast to the 5 lamb chops; not bad in themselves, were it not that they were not really hot and two chops were raw because they had been fried together. The service was okay. My glass was (see picture), the food tasted okay, I ordered two dishes: the Olympus Platter and Bifteki. I only received fries once, tzatziki once, and salad once (see pictures). What's completely unacceptable is pan-fried gyros!!!! The meal, a 0.2l Coke, and a 0.2l Amstel Radler cost €60.20. So, there's definitely room for improvement.

This place is an absolute gem in Rotterdam. I have been to Greece many times and I’m simply a fan of Greek cuisine. And this place is just amazing. I had the lamb racks. And they were out of this world. The menu said 5 lamb racks but I got 6 pieces, so I felt so lucky. The lamb was well seasoned, grilled very nicely, and was medium-rare on the inside. Just the way I like it. Absolutely delicious. I also ordered wine. The waiter recommended me a nice wine that could be paired with the lamb. It was a more dry wine from Greece. Delicious. If you like Greece and want an authentic place to eat, I’d recommend this place. I’ll come more often for sure.

A truly beautiful restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious – outstanding quality and amazing flavor. The tzatziki was one of the best I’ve ever had and the grilled meat was incredibly tender, juicy and full of flavor. From today on, this is definitely my number one restaurant in Rotterdam. I highly recommend it! 🤍

Terrible service, bad food in tiny portions, very expensive and overpriced. The waiter knew he messed up the soup and still pretended everything was correct. With the main courses there should have been salad and fries with each, they only brought one salad for 2 main courses, saying to share but it was literally the amount for 2 forks. Not worth it!

I went here with my partner last week and was served by a *human with tattoos. She was not friendly with her service, she clearly favoured other customers (my beer was half full, yet others were served full) and she also made my partner feel uncomfortable - her questions were inappropriate, do not go here. In response to the restaurant’s reply below: Yes, I’m certain it was your restaurant, incredibly your sign reads ‘Olympia Kitchen Bar’

Highly recommended for a different kind of meal. Of the gyros, the chicken one was my favorite. Excellent service and atmosphere.

The food was fantastic. Tender meat, delicious tzatziki. I have been to many Greek restaurants and have had truly delicious meals. The service was also super friendly. The only downside is that the chairs aren't really comfortable. And you sit quite close together.

Nice Greek restaurant, beautifully decorated and a good atmosphere. The food was very good, thankfully not the standard large meat platters. The retsina was delicious! Prices are on the high side. The evening we were there, the service wasn't very good. There was apparently a problem in the kitchen, but the waitstaffing wasn't very good either. We had to wait a long time between the starter and the main course. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert; we had to ask for coffee ourselves. And when we wanted to pay, the waitress found it more important to spend some time chatting with family/friends with our bill and card machine in her hand. So it's a shame the service was disappointing, because otherwise it is a nice restaurant with good quality food.

The drinks are poorly made and simply taste bad; I cannot recommend them.

Food was okay. They refused to serve tap water even though Rotterdam has a very high quality of water. We love Greek and have eaten it everywhere (Greece included) and this is the first Greek Restaurant that doesn't serve chicken souvlaki and the moussaka was not authentic. They also charged 2-3.5% for paying with a card. This appeared to be a classic example of a business serving themselves rather than their customers.

We organized a dinner for a group of 50 international visitors to the Netherlands, and our experience was amazing! When we asked for a quote, the manager replied very quickly and communicated clearly with us during all the arrangements. We had the dinner on the upper floor. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were perfect. All of our international guests were very happy with the food. The service was excellent even though we were by ourselves on the upper floor. The interior design and music were also very nice. The prices are affordable. I can only highly recommend this place. Just great!

My girlfriend and I were immediately delighted with the atmosphere and the incredibly friendly staff upon arrival. Within 10 minutes, we'd ordered our food, and our drinks were already served, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, we felt it took an incredibly long time for the food to arrive. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes, even asking where it was. People around us who came in later did get their food quickly, which is quite frustrating when you're hungry, haha. The food itself was truly excellent and there was nothing to complain about, especially considering the price. We did order bread, but we never received it. I did ask the waiter about it, but oh well... Later, I saw on the receipt that I had paid for it, so that was a shame... I do find it quite rude, however, when you're talking to the waiter about these things, he talks through his earpiece up to three times, and you can't finish your story. We did have the feeling that there was no lack of goodwill and given the positive reviews we would like to try it a second time.

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening at 6:00 PM. All tables were quickly filled. Nothing wrong with that per se. However, the staff didn't know who had already ordered or what they had ordered. We were approached three times to take an order even though we had already ordered. Waiters also regularly came to the table with drinks we hadn't ordered. Perhaps there should be more communication between us? The food was so-so. Bifteki was okay, but nothing special. The fries were absolutely disgusting. Very mealy fries, not my thing. We also had the tenderloin and the pancake. The tenderloin was okay, but served without sauce. The pancake wasn't very tasty either. We ended up leaving quickly because the music kept getting louder and we left the restaurant completely overwhelmed. We won't be returning anytime soon.

A very beautiful and welcoming restaurant. We received excellent service. Generous portions, with fresh and delicious ingredients. I've been there for lunch and dinner, and both times were great!

The restaurant has a very beautiful and well-maintained space, with nice decoration and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the experience. The food was very disappointing. The appetizers were extremely small portions and very expensive for what they were. The main course was simply bad and not enjoyable at all. Overall, the prices were unjustifiably high compared to the quality and quantity of the food. The staff were generally polite, but our drink order was brought incorrectly twice. In the end, they offered us a small ouzo on the house, which was a nice gesture, but it didn’t really make up for the experience. The unexpected highlight of the evening was the Serbian music playing in the background. Overall, a very underwhelming dining experience that we would not repeat.

A really nice and atmospheric place for a Greek meal. We ordered several dishes from the menu, each of which was incredibly delicious. The prices are also very reasonable for this exceptionally good food. The service is very pleasant and easy-going, completely tailored to your needs. We will definitely be back and will unconditionally recommend this place to others.

I noticed the restaurant has been renovated. The decor is charming and beautiful. At the same time, I also noticed the food has changed. I missed the good quality of the old Olympia. I ordered tenderloin. It was tough, and the wine sauce wasn't good. The bread was cold and hard. My comeback wasn't such a success. Unfortunately...

A Greek restaurant where we ate excellently for much less than we thought. It was also one of the few restaurants in Rotterdam where I was able to eat after 9 pm. Most places in Rotterdam close their kitchens at 9 pm and are only open for drinks.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. Previously, the portions were too large; guests left too much, and too much had to be thrown away. It's logical and right that the portions have been reduced. Actually, the portions are now just a bit too small, and the prices have risen inversely. The skewers were tasty, but almost €25 is on the steep side. A small bag of fries for two people is paltry. Does iceberg lettuce belong in a Greek salad? Only three cubes of feta (assuming it was real feta)? The scoops of pistachio ice cream weren't pistachio ice cream. We don't know what it was, but certainly not worth €13.50. The prices have gone up considerably, unfortunately at the expense of quality. Not for a while.

Great place. I come here regularly, and in my opinion, it's the best Greek restaurant in the area.

The food was delicious! The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly.

The mixed grill was definitely okay. The meat slices were fine, but not overly flavorful. The gyros, on the other hand, were bone dry and overcooked. The English-speaking waiter was very friendly and helpful, which made up for it.

We waited for over an hour for our food to arrive and when it did, the gyros was dry and flavorless. As a party of 4, we received one portion of fries and never received our salad or tzatziki. When the server asked how we liked our food, we said that we only received half of our order and that the food was bad. They immediately gave us our salad and tzatziki as well as more fries and complimentary drinks. They also gave us another portion of gyros that they said was fresher, however, it was still not good. We only paid for half of the gyros which we appreciate but did not necessarily make up for it as it was my friends birthday celebration. Lastly, we found a piece of packaging material in one of the gyros.

Too bad...but Olympia is no longer what it once was. The veal skewer was so dry that it almost didn't come off the skewer and the mushrooms as a starter were not tasty. Portions are definitely not what they once were. Well, I can understand that with the current costs, but the taste....I used to come here very often in the past and still occasionally because of youth sentiment, but not for the food anymore.

This was our favourite restaurant in Rotterdam first time round from 1990 to 1994. It's still here and the food is as good as, if not better than, ever before. Great quality beats everything else and this restaurant has it in spades.
