DOK48 FOOD & DRINKS AMSTERDAM in IJburg Zuid

Despite being in a nearly empty restaurant for lunch, we still had a pleasant atmosphere and the service was good. Lunch, which consisted of a trio of tomato soup, a sandwich, and a croquette, was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food and cool service!

The food was okay, the service very friendly. Unfortunately, there was a strong smell of fried food.

We came here yesterday with friends who were visiting us. We told them they had the best hamburgers. Our favorite dish was their hamburgers and the sweet potato fries that you can choose came with the menu. However, yesterday, as always, when I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries with my cheeseburger, they told me I had to pay extra, but if I preferred regular fries, then it would come with the menu. Therefore, we ordered the regular fries with the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries as an extra. But I really regretted it. The hamburger wasn't as juicy as it used to be. The regular fries were also soaked in oil; you'd rarely find fries this greasy in another place. And the extra sweet potato fries that came were cold. I don't know if the restaurant changed hands, but I'm sad to say that this is the first time I've seen the food quality drop this much. I hope this is a one-time thing and they return to their previous quality.

I went here based on the good reviews, but unfortunately, it wasn't what I'd hoped for. I ordered a large bottle of water, intending to eat there. When we finally got the chance to order after a long wait, I asked about the "fish of the day." The waiter had to inquire, and it took another 10 minutes for her to return, after we'd beckoned repeatedly. The answer was equally disappointing; the "fish of the day" turned out to be mussels. This is remarkable, since mussels are mollusks, not fish. Moreover, they were already listed on the menu. She immediately disappeared, and after another 10-minute wait, we decided to leave. The price of the bottle of water was the final disappointment; 8 euros is ridiculously expensive, even for Amsterdam.

Great place for a satay and a beer.

In one word ‘too bad’. We went here for dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm after my father-in-law wanted to invite us out for dinner after staying with us for a week. He spent the whole morning trying to find a restaurant that took reservations and was lucky at doc48, they also said they had delicious spareribs. Upon arrival, the reception was extremely awkward. The reservation could not be found and they did not take reservations for the terrace anyway (which was not mentioned anywhere when we made the reservation). My father-in-law showed his reservation on his mobile phone, which was met with an extremely cool and distant response. That is why we were initially assigned a picnic table, but when we asked further, we were later able to swap when another table became available. Unfortunately, there was bird droppings on the chair, but we were going to solve that ourselves. The mood was at its lowest point at that time, my father-in-law was planning to make it a nice evening for us and to really go all out. We were about to leave again but finding something else for 6 people at the last minute would have only caused more frustration. In the end we ordered and we were just able to get the last portion of spare ribs as they were already sold out (and that with a menu with only 4/5 main courses). By the way, the menu does not match the menu on the website, so the prices are a lot higher in the restaurant itself. The explanation for this is probably that the restaurant had been taken over by a different owner just a week before, which was also the explanation for the reservation not coming through. We found the explanation logical in itself but still no apologies were made or we were put at ease as guests. The food itself was modest, spare ribs cost 27.50 and the quantity is minimal and there are not even fries with it, just like the sole where you get 2 very small soles with a few salad leaves for 21 euros but again no fries with it. We spent more than 150 euros for 6 people and were not even full, while we had 3 children with us aged 4, 6 and 10 who had ordered a full meal. The cheeseburgers for the children (19.50) were tasty but the portion of fries consisted of 10 fries per child and was far from enough. My tip to the new owners, if you want to keep up the name, make sure that the quality remains good and that guests do not feel like they are asking a favour when they come to eat with you. I immediately think of the article in the Parool about the Amsterdam catering industry and I think that this was a textbook example. For us, eating out is something we do once a year at most and then we want to enjoy it, but unfortunately this experience was mainly an annoyance. So 'too bad'.

The VrijMiBo is always a great start to the weekend at DOK48. Especially now that the flames have returned as Barfood. If the bartender smiles, the weekend can really begin. Highly recommended. 😉

Near. Four Elements hotel. Not a large menu but what you get is top quality. Cozy, beautiful location And because it is possible, a pinball machine in the shop. and yes it can be used

Delicious food (good cheeseburger) and nice, fast service. One could opt for a better way to manage the smokers who are constantly walking in and out through two doors with their dirty smoke smell and which does not make it more comfortable in terms of draft and temperature - as far as I am concerned, a smoke-free restaurant should not be bothered by smokers.

Delicious, and a lot of beer selection

Nice casual cafe with enthusiastic employees, nice spontaneous team. Accessible menu (we had lunch), no fuss, just a nice bite. Wide choice of drinks, including draft beers.

Service was okay. It ultimately took a long time to order, which was disappointing. Paid 26 euros for a steak, which you could barely cut through and had to chew for 1 minute... not nice for such an expensive price.

Compliments for the food, the portions, the service. In particular the special lunch menu with soup, the delicious bread with croquette, and the bread with tuna salad with delicious decorations, the XXL sandwich with fresh tomato completed our birthday lunch appointment at Dok48. You can sit inside and outside with a view of the harbor on IJburg and Jonas (the special residential complex, especially from the inside, across the street). Nice service. Relax and have a drink and eat a bitterballen.

Nice "gezellig" cafe-restaurant at Yburg, with very well tasting dishes and a very good priced 3-course menu. Highly recommended was the "Skreifilet" (=Cod) on sweet potato mash and potatoes.

Very cozy place. Very good selection of different drinks (beer, wine & shots were our selection 😅) and snacks. The service was more than attentive! You can really spend a lovely evening here. Not too loud and not too intrusive! This won't be the last time we see us 🥰 PS: Try the Beer Shot and the Nachos!!!

Prima gegeten, vriendelijke bediening. Foutje in de rekening in mijn voordeel netjes gemeld en toen kregen we het aangeboden van het huis. Dan maar een goede fooi geven!

Fijn terras maar vaak staat er onervaren personeel. Het eten is goed, zeker de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding maar de presentatie is belabberd. Mijn ogen willen ook mee-eten

Servizio da migliorare, camerieri poco attenti. Cibo non male: insalate servite senza nemmeno un po' di pane, hamburger ottimi ma senza patatine incluse che sono da richiedere a parte, costolette ottime. Insomma bene ma non benissimo. E poi da italiano mi chiedo come si possa vendere uno spritz a 10,5 euro... Mah

De ligging van DOK48 is perfect en het terras langs het water is ideaal tijdens de zomermaanden. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en alert. Ze lopen regelmatig langs om te verifiëren of alles nog naar wens is. Wij hebben er een heerlijk aantal uur doorgebracht op het terras met drankjes en snacks en uitzicht op de boten. Tot de volgende keer!

Het eten was zeer goed, ruim voldoende. We hadden eerst een borrelplank besteld voordat we gingen eten. Borrelplank was zeer goed en erg lekker. Maar 1 dingetje: we waren met zijn 3en en bijna alles op de borrelplank was voor 2 personen. Vonden we een minpuntje. Hoofdgerecht was zeer goed en ruim voldoende. Sfeer was niet echt heel gezellig. Wel aardig personeel.

Heerlijk broodje gegeten met uitzicht op de haven. Bediening echt top! Van het voorjaar komen we zeker terug zodat we lekker buiten kunnen zitten.

A great bar in front of the marinas. They have very good choice for the beer and the ambience is amazing. We just spent an evening for a business meeting starting with coffee ending with beer. Definitely recommended.

Lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel

Vanmiddag hier heerlijk geluncht met m’n zoon; we hadden een broodje croquet (perfect warm, knapperig en niet té dikke korst) en BLC (zeer rijkelijk en smeuïg belegd).

I celebrated my 49th birthday at DOK48 and the staff treated me and my friends very well.

Mooi bedrijf met een kastelein die horeca snapt! Je voelt je direct welkom, er is oog voor de gasten. Een dik compliment! De locatie geeft een super uitzicht en zal zéker in de zomer nog fraaier zijn. Mooie plek om te vertoeven.

Très bonne idée le "week-end burgers" avec un prix unique afin de tester une variété de burgers de qualité. Une saveur et des produits à un très bonne qualité ! Les frites étaient croquantes à l'extérieur et fondantes à l'intérieur... Comme on les aime! Je recommande vivement ce lieu ! Allez-y les yeux fermés ! Quant au dessert... Un régal !

Good for a quick Saturday lunch

Schöne moderne und gemütliche Kneipe mit netten Leuten. Wir haben ein gepflegtes Amstel genossen. Wer in der Gegend ist, weiß jetzt wo man zum Absacker and more hin gehen kann.

The vegan burger was great. The fries too and the mayonnaise probably not vegan ;) The service was very friendly and courteous. Great. Because I'm a vegetarian, the mayo didn't matter, but if i were a vegan i probably would have had to complain ;) But i'ts definitely recommande to eat here.

Frühstück mit Poched Eggs und Omlett. Dazu leckeres Brot. Atmosphäre ist schön und Bedienung ist Nett.

Het was vanavond blijkbaar een beetje druk. Moesten een tweede drankje 3 keer bestellen. Verder prima hoor. :-)
