Super tasty coffee! Plus Nice and attentive staff. Plus Had an Italian toasted sandwich for lunch... not worth repeating: Rock-hard, tasteless, served with chips(?)... and very expensive... so a disappointment. Suggestion: a tomato and cucumber would have been much better.

Love their Tiramisu iced coffee! They also give more filling than others so I can enjoy it more :3

We were not greeted and had to ask if someone could take our order. I ordered a tuna melt and mocktail, my husband a chicken salad with cappuccino. I have eaten better tuna melts and my husband also found the salad unexciting.

It's a cozy place to grab a bite to eat if you're in Koningshoek. The food is delicious; my favorite is the Italian grilled cheese sandwich. The service is very friendly. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in Koningshoek.

Don't be fooled by the "Doppio Club"—it's a grossly overpriced sandwich with lettuce and three types of cold cuts piled on top. They forgot the "crispy chicken," and what they brought back had very little to do with crispy chicken... We told them this couldn't possibly be worth 14.50. The lady apologized, but we had to pay full price. Ugly.

Delicious latte macchiato and pastries. The service is fast, customer-focused, and naturally friendly. In short, a lovely place to visit.

Today I had lunch with a friend at Doppio in Maassluis. We ordered the caprese flatbread and asked as a precaution whether it contained alcohol, because that sometimes occurs in flatbread. The waitress went to ask, but another employee came back. Before we could even ask our question properly, she said hastily and in an unfriendly tone: "Why? No, there absolutely can't be any alcohol in it, I made it myself. There can't be any alcohol in food," and immediately walked away again. Her attitude came across as offensive and we didn't feel taken seriously at all. During the meal we also noticed that we were looked at in a nasty way by the staff several times. When we had finished eating and wanted to order something, the waitresses walked by a few times without asking anything, while it was clear that we were done. In the end we decided to go to the cash register to share our experience. I calmly approached the employee with: “Can I speak to you for a moment?”, to which she immediately took on a defensive attitude and said: “Do you want to speak to me?” When I tried to explain my point, she said: “If that’s how it came across, sorry, but it certainly wasn’t meant that way.” Another employee then joined in with the remark: “Isn’t that enough? She’s already apologized three times.” Unfortunately, no one understood that it wasn’t just about apologies, but about the way we were approached: unfriendly, rushed and unprofessional. My friend said that we come here often, but then she also commented in the same tone: “I’ve never seen you guys before.” All in all, we didn’t feel welcome at all. Too bad, because we came for a relaxing lunch, but left with an unpleasant feeling. For us, this was unfortunately the last time.

The cafe is located in a shopping center. The merchandise on display is inviting, everything is very clean, and the staff is friendly. The restrooms are very clean. The apple pie and hot chocolate are beautifully presented. Prices are reasonable, hence only 4 stars. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The coffee is delicious, and the food is also good. The prices are a bit high. The service is friendly, but could be a bit faster. Unfortunately, you can't order sandwiches towards the end of the afternoon because the kitchen is already closed. The atmosphere is fine, but we found it very noisy in the restaurant.

Our favorite lunchroom in Maassluis 🥰 We have lunch there several times a month. Tuna & Chicken Melt are absolute favorites. The kids love the toasted sandwich and the mini pancakes. The coffee is delicious, and the shaken ice tea is also highly recommended. Friendly staff who prepare everything deliciously fresh. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for someone to notice you and order another drink, but once you do, it's served very quickly. I say: go here for a bite to eat! 😄😄

Expensive but tasty, friendly waiters

Good coffee with oat milk. Staff friendly and service oriented. Only I would put the dishwasher or the oven/heating machine somewhere else. It makes a lot of noise in the restaurant.

The layout of the sandwich is also carefully considered, making it look very tasty. - You can choose to eat inside or sit on the terrace (covered, because it is in a shopping center).

Cafe Doppio Espresso, situated in the covered shopping center 'Koningshoek' offers a predictable experience: good coffee, delicious cake from the Dudok bakery, polite, attentive staff and expensive prices. But the people from Maassluis clearly don't care about the bill. Doppio Espresso conducts a brisk business.

Met valentijn van een high tea genoten. Je kunt ook bepaalde kleine koffie kiezen ipv thee. Variatie met zoete en hartige lekkernijen. Service erg vriendelijk, zoals wij al jaren weten. Kwaliteit ook niets op aan te merken. Kortom een top zaak om een lekkere kop koffie,lunch of high tea te doen. Wbt koffie ben ik persoonlijk erg moeilijk,het is voor mij snel te sterk. Ook de koffie verkeerd. Echter bij doppio geniet ik vaak van de overheerlijke latte macchiato. Voordeel bij deze doppio dat je ook op het terras altijd droog zit ook bij regen.

Coffee is very weak. Has a weak taste. 2 coffees 6.40 .and it is still made by one espresso / coffee machine Please note that the coffee is no longer as tasty as it was a while ago.

Doppio Espresso is situated in the covered shopping center 'Koningshoek' in Maassluis. This shopping center has the advantage of all weather shopping and lots and lots of free parking. Doppio Espresso has an inviting appearance with tables inside and outside in the wide passage. Not unexpected through the name of the establishment Italian food and drinks are offered and efforts are made to create an Italian atmosphere. I settled for a common black coffee, because I didn't want to experience the disappointment of an inadequate espresso and it was too late for a cappuccino. Cannoli were on offer and I couldn't resist ordering one. The cannolo was better than expected, but the 'envelope' was a bit hard. Generally a good effort was made by the staff to create an Italian atmosphere, but unfortunately the eye watering prices were very un- Italian. A three point rating.

You expect first-class service for over-the-top prices, but there is a mismatch. Most tables were not cleared, which could have been a priority. We (sometimes?) work with orderers and deliverers. So the delivery person asks who it is for each item. Seems rather stupid & unprofessional, but is a consequence of the way we work. Simple order (delivery) took a long time, but without the sandwich (and not a word about it). Tosti took a lot longer. Not a word about it unless you ask, could have been more proactive, informing in advance about the enormous waiting time, instead of casually taking orders and making customers wait for a long time. Neighbors also started to get impatient and ask questions. Toasties were better, coffee was fine. Previous review from 3 years ago: Visited this Doppio several times, A Doppio like the other, reasonable coffee. Quick, friendly order taken, although order delivery and payment take a while, sometimes you even have to ask twice.... Be careful not to sit next to a waiter passing through, because of regular "pushing" in your back. Pastries very pricey, but good/fresh. Italian Toasti, on the other hand (photo), looks nice, pricey, and... totally tasteless. The “fresh” tomato is still green, and the ingredients are there. The menu describes in text, no photos. So ordering something by sight is impossible, or in the case of pastries you can look in the display case yourself.

Doppio is closed due to the lockdown. So I haven't been there, I just walked past. I wish I could have a cup of coffee there again. Unfortunately.

Had a delicious lunch with my partner at Doppio. I asked in advance if gluten-free was possible and it was possible. I could order almost from the entire menu, that's great service. I finally ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich, which was really delicious, my partner ordered a carpaccio sandwich, which was also delicious. It's great that the rolls are baked right away, you couldn't wish for anything fresher. Doppio is highly recommended and will definitely go back there again

One of the few places in the area to get a good selection of great coffees and some good cake too. The only downside is that it's located in a rather bland shopping centre that you won't be in for long enough to warrant stopping for an extra half-hour for the coffee.

Cold cappuccino is delicious and so is the croc monsieur. It is indicated as mini on the menu, but is enough for lunch, at least for me. Friendly service, nothing really to complain about, had a great lunch. They also have high chairs and enough spaces between the tables on the terrace.

Yesterday I had a bad experience, namely a discussion about whether or not I should have a glass of water with my coffee!

The food and drinks are good. Only today we had a very bad experience with the table next to us being very present. When I went to pay I also reported this, and it turned out that it was the owner with a group, I think this is even worse than if it were just guests. They'll never see me there again.

Leuke zaak, maar 3,90 voor een medium cappucino to go verwacht ik op het San Marcoplein in Venetie en niet in Maassluis. Ik drink vaak koffie onderweg, maar heb nog nooit zo'n hoge prijs betaald, zelfs niet in Amsterdam. Jammer.

Neat and nicely decorated according to the franchise concept, but that also makes it a bit boring. Could use some atmosphere. Furthermore, a few dots, for € 3.50 I don't expect a mini piece of cake. The open kitchen is fine, but make sure you have an extractor fan, in a shopping center not everyone needs to know that you are frying bacon.
