A welcoming restaurant! The food is delicious and well-prepared, and children are welcome too. A charming atmosphere!

We wanted to eat somewhere else, but it was full. Then we stumbled upon this place. The view from the front didn't immediately convince me, but once inside, it was quite full and there was a pleasant, bustling atmosphere. The service was very friendly and fast; we were seated fairly quickly. The menu was extensive, with lots of choices. We ended up ordering a midday snack, which was excellent! Excellent quality, delicious fresh bread. The prices were also quite reasonable. Highly recommended; we will definitely be back.

I ate here with a group of colleagues. The food was fine. But it was incredibly cold where we were seated. I mentioned it, and the answer was, they couldn't do anything about it. The result... many people were completely chilled. I personally won't be returning.

Good and friendly service. We had a large group, and the food arrived promptly and efficiently. They were very accommodating to special requests. A wheelchair-accessible door is located to the right of the entrance, and there's a wheelchair-accessible toilet downstairs. The only minor complaint was the beef stew, which had a lot of mushrooms in it but wasn't listed on the menu. They're going to change that. The desserts were excellent and looked beautiful too (millionaires shortbread with Dubai ice cream).

We popped in yesterday and had a delicious meal. We both had a main course and coffee/dessert. Good food, and plenty of it. A tip: as far as I'm concerned, whipped cream from a can is simply not appropriate for a €9.50 dessert. Other than that, we had a wonderful evening. Friendly and attentive staff.

It was a quiet evening, and the chef hunched over the table in boredom. There were four of us, and one person wanted soup as a main course, while the rest had burgers. The soup was served, and we had to wait for the burgers. Later, we returned the soup and asked for it (the second time) along with the burgers. The burgers were completely raw inside, so they were returned and overcooked. We ate the fries first, and when they were finished, the burgers arrived. There was a plastic cap in the soup! We called the waiter, who snatched the cap and walked away. Later, they said, "Sorry." The waiter came to apologize and said, "Soup will be taken off the bill." Sorry, what terrible service. They won't be seeing us again.

After many years, I had a delicious lunch with three friends. So much choice and generously topped. The goat cheese salad not only looked fantastic but tasted delicious.

Don't order the truffle fries! What a huge disappointment. We got a small container of fries with (and I'm not exaggerating) a tiny sliver of truffle sauce and tons of scallions. When we asked for extra truffle sauce, we got a tiny cup only a third full. We were so stunned by the small amount in the cup that we burst out laughing. Ridiculous, but hey, life goes on, haha.

We came here without researching the restaurant and we were very glad we did. We were quickly seated and had our order taken. The croquettes were absolutely delicious. The caramelised onions and the pistachio combined together to create outstanding flavours. The satay chicken was moist and generous in portion. The beef stew was perfectly spiced and very enjoyable. Great restaurant.

I went in here to eat but I wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. So I left. I found it very rude.

They recently changed their menu. I thought I'd get a goat cheese sandwich. It was just one mini sandwich, my partner got one croquette with fries, but it was all very limited. The menu isn't on the website yet. Unfortunately, I still had soup at home because I was hungry. P.S. You have to wait 10 minutes for someone to take your order.

I used to love coming here. But now...? Dirty windows, sticky tables and chairs, dried-out flowers on the table, empty fragrance sticks in the toilet, and pretty much everything in the restroom is broken or in disrepair. The staff looks worn out. What a faded glory.

We have now been here for the 5th time with my family and every time the food is great, the service is great and the view of the canal is also great.

We get together with a group of friends a few times a year. This also happened during Big Rivers, and yes, one person in our group asked the staff the same question about the festival several times, which may have been a hindrance. But if you offer a final round at 11:00 PM, and they end up serving double, you shouldn't ask us to leave five minutes later. Shortly afterward, a young man of about 22, red-faced from possible excessive drinking, appeared in front of us, yelling, "If we didn't leave now, he'd call the police." It's a good thing we're all adults now, all well-connected, otherwise things would have gotten out of hand. With a bill of over 250 euros already paid, we left feeling a bit dazed and hungover from both the drinks and what had happened. We're never coming back. Thanks.

A pleasant square for food and drinks. The atmosphere is pleasant. The staff is friendly and welcoming. In the summer, they have a large outdoor terrace.

A restaurant of thieves and an insulting owner! We had lunch for 6 people on August 5, 2020, for a bill of €117.95. Back in France, we found that we had been charged €1,178.95. We contacted the restaurant by phone, and they asked us to send them an email about this. All we received in response were insults. So beware, this restaurant is full of thieves, and insulting at that! This is unprecedented for a retailer! We are taking legal action against this restaurant, which refuses to refund us despite its regulatory obligation and after attempts at mediation. They even threatened us because we posted a negative online review. The manager is a despicable character, a crook, and a thief. Don't go to this restaurant to support this thief!!! Restaurateur sentenced!

Wij kwamen een hapje eten en wat drinken met onze 2 kinderen. Bij binnenkomst werd ons gevraagd: “ kan ik iets voor jullie doen?” Aangeven dat we wat wilde eten en drinken. De bestelling was opgenomen en heb vriendelijk gevraagd of het mogelijk was om een muziekje aan te zetten. Het voelde aan als een dode boel. Op de eerste plaats werd de icetea green geserveerd met een warm glas uit de vaatwasser, zonder ijsblokjes. Nogmaals gevraagd om muziek. Ook was er een storm en spicy cocktail besteld.. zonder pepertjes en heel weinig rum werd deze geleverd. Na de medewerker hierop aangesproken te hebben werd er gesuggereerd dat de pepers op waren. Toen we aangaven dat het raar was dat je een product presenteert wat op de kaart staat en het niet compleet kan aanleveren kon er meer rum in.. uiteindelijk kwam het eten op tafel. Echter nog geen bestek. De pepermolen was leeg. En nog steeds geen muziek. En dat na 2 x vragen de extra patat die we gevraagd hadden was ook nog niet geleverd. Uiteindelijk toch gekozen om de cocktail die besteld was terug te geven aan de bar ondanks dat er ergens uit de keuken pepers waren gevonden. Hiermee ging het personeel niet akkoord. Het was extra rum erin en betalen, of weggooien en toch betalen voor de consumptie. Hierop hebben we besloten om te vertrekken. Uiteraard zonder 1 cent te betalen. Wat een teleurstelling!! Ze zouden zich moeten schamen!! Wij komen hier nooit meer terug.

The steak was cooked well, exactly as I had asked. The place itself is pleasantly lit, the music is set a bit too loud. The staff was reasonably nice, however the managers are a bit bossy. All in all a fine nice Dordrecht tourist restaurant, we were even sent away after 1 hour outside because they wanted to close the terrace, we sat on the benches that are usually always open, we thought that was a shame, that was said by the girl with blond hair and tattoos, she reacts quite angrily to the staff and shouts across the terrace, I didn't have a good feeling about that.

Very nice sunny terrace for a drink. Unfortunately we also had a sandwich for lunch. The sandwich was tasty, but very meager..a brown pistolet with some lettuce, 2 slices of carpaccio, a few pine nuts, a few flakes of cheese and some sauce on top. No garnish or anything "extra". All in all very meager and that for €14. Paid €40 in total for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. I'm not too bad to pay, but expect a bit more. Next time maybe just a drink.

Good food. Nice service. Toilet is upstairs, accessible via a steep staircase. That's not nice if you have difficulty walking.

We are just taking the water bus from Kinderdijk down to Dodrecht. Once we arrived off the water bus, we cross the street and went down a side street to get to the main square. We had not eaten all day so we stopped here for a bite. The menu was not in English, but it did not stop us from ordinary. The wait staff was excellent and helped us. Was actually easy to read a Dutch menu. For lunch, we had beer wine we started with bitterballen and served with mustard, we both opted for the whole grain bread club sandwich with potato chips. It was excellent. The staff was friendly helpful. The kitchen was fast and the place was pretty busy. The staff directed us across the road down to historical Street and we spent the next 30 minutes or so walking around some shops are open somewhat closed then headed back to the water bus down by the waterfront. Dodrecht quaint town to visit if you have an hour and like to cruise the waterways. I would definitely go back here again. The meal was great.

Wide choice, something for everyone. Service is very friendly and experienced. I ordered the stir-fried scampi, which were served boiling, perfect. I also had the bavette, a delicious and perfectly prepared piece of meat. Prices are also fine, and the portions are certainly not stingy. All in all, a nice evening with good food and drinks. Highly recommended!

The friendly staff does not make up for the fact that they serve old, dry factory bread and that there is a lot of smoking on the terrace.

A great place to have something to eat or drink. The staff is ok, there are a lot of them and when we were there it didn't seem really coordinated. Within 2 minutes we were asked 3 times if we already knew what we wanted to eat. That felt a bit rushed. The order also came through incorrectly. Not a disaster, but still a shame. The food was delicious by the way.

Good food, the fries on the menu were exceptionally tasty. Staff is good and friendly, there was only one who took the order, served and paid. The other 4 were students.

Went here today, what a disappointment We had met friends and were going to have a bite to eat here at the end of the day. The weather was fantastic so we first took a seat on the terrace - and then the chaos began. Several waitresses took orders and served them as well. In itself that's a bit wrong, but then you look at who handed out the bill - well, that was a bit too much to ask and the chaos had already started. We explain several times and prove that we had already paid. When we then asked why the wine was more expensive than stated on the drinks menu, this was explained by the waitress - we were dealing with an outdated menu on the tables, but she did not know who trained this staff - unbelievable!!! Because we had reserved a table we finally went inside - but what a mistake this was! The assigned table was dirty and sticky, when we made a comment about this the waiter started a whole discussion with us, because it depended on the type of table top !!?? Who is in charge here and has explained to these people what customer friendliness means! Finally a server came and tried to clean the table with a half dry cloth and a bored face - but unfortunately she didn't feel like it and it had little effect. Finally ordered the food which was then served! The waiter with a strike around his neck handed out the plates but he had never heard of cutlery - when we made a comment about this he did not respond and walked away bored. Fortunately, a colleague was willing to bring the cutlery and he shouted out loudly "Then I will arrange it" - he deliberately did this so loudly that his colleague could hear it Was there anything positive to mention? Yes, that was the chef - the ordered medium bavette was a bit too raw and without grumbling the meat was prepared again including new garnish. At the end the cook came to ask if the meat was OK - look, that's how it should be! Dear owner - (and employees) Explain to your waiting staff what customer friendliness means and if this doesn't work, let them do something else for heaven's sake - oh yes and of course we didn't give a tip! Dear Chef - thank you for the service, but please find another employer - your qualities are not appreciated if the waiting staff treat customers this way - what a disappointment!!

Not all that great... the Yakitori skewers looked like dog food. Gummy, no flavor. The New Zealand one was barely seasoned. Faint. The ice cream was ok. No risk of recurrence for us.

Celebrated a birthday last night at this lovely restaurant. Nice menu with wide choice. The service is service-oriented, friendly and patient. The food was delicious! Definitely recommended!

The girls at the service would rather gossip at the bar inside than help people on the terrace, it all took far too long and minimal interaction. Food was tasty

I had a nice dinner with my girlfriend tonight, or at least we hoped so. It took at least 45 minutes before we got our food and we waited at least half an hour for our drinks. I am also very disappointed with the food. I am allergic to tomatoes, and what do I get in my pesto pasta? Tomato! 😡 In addition, the pesto pasta was swimming in the oil. My friend's food was cold when it was supposed to be hot.

Ate here last week. We ordered tomato soup and Southern fried chick burger menu. That was the most disgusting burger I have ever eaten. Huge onion rings on the burger and the frying oil has not been replaced for a long time. That chicken burger and fries tasted very rancid. Tomato soup was tasty. And staff is ok. The atmosphere inside is not very pleasant. Table layout is not that nice. And it's dark and old inside. Wouldn't eat here again anytime soon.

12 hours was very small. Soup from a water glass and a slice of supermarket bread cannot be had for more than €16. Management clearly didn't feel like it

When we arrived, it took a long time before anyone asked how and what, while 5 employees had already walked past us. We then made a reservation and were not assigned a place because we could choose ourselves. When we walked to our table, we were asked again if they could help us and indicated that we had made a reservation, after which we were put down in a place. Unfortunately, this was a forgotten corner, so we asked for another spot, which was ultimately possible. When ordering the food, it was clearly stated that no tomatoes were allowed on the order. Then the food arrived at the table with yes… tomato. Also during the meal, an employee next to our table had her points pointed out. Something you seem to be telling me quietly somewhere else. Please note that this is our experience and does not always have to be this way.

The staff did not really look well cared for and asked three times if our table could be cleaned, in the end half cleaned, we immediately asked if the rest could also be cleaned, remnants were literally swept off the table and over my coat. Cappuccino that I ordered was forgotten. Apple pie was too cold and lacked real whipped cream. In short, not recommended.

Today we received a glass with our coke that was dirty. One glass still had some lipstick on it, the other still had a lemon pit from the previous user. When we spoke to the serving lady about this, she told us that the dishwasher was broken. Soooo? Can you just use dirty glasses????

The food was really good. Saté tasted really good and was a good portion. However the service wasn't great. I mean they were friendly, but there were not a lot off people i side , but it still took a lot of time to get served.

I went here back in 2022, it was a beautiful venue and the hostess with the blond hair and tattoos was wonderful, like an unofficial tour guide to me and my friends, and her other half was just as sweet to us all. Highly recommend to anyone. (Huge outside area)

I walked in with my parents, received a very friendly welcome from a waitress and went to pick a seat 💞 The staff felt professional and were very friendly. They looked carefully and asked if people wanted to drink or eat something. Drinks were prepared and delivered quickly, cocktails took a little longer but definitely worth the waiting time ❤️‍🔥 I took the 'Woowoo' myself 🍹🖤 The food was delicious, I had some nachos with cheese as a starter, a very tender bavette that melts in your mouth 🤤🤤 with some delicious crispy fries and for dessert a tasting with a kind of cookie dough brownie, ice cream and some whipped cream with a sweet caramel sauce over it🍨🤍 Can't wait until we can sit outside in the summer ☀️ I would 100% recommend this hidden gem and definitely come back!! ☺️💯

I went here several times on my trip to the Netherlands and this place was my favorite spot of all. The food and service was incredible. I felt extremely welcome the entire time and I’m excited to return on my next trip. If you go ask for Romana, she made the entire experience incredible.

However, when inquiring about this, it turned out that the tables were incorrectly varnished, causing them to stick a bit. they were indeed clean. Inadequate waiters and the same administrator. We had a waitress with long blond hair and tattoos on her arms who couldn't take the order correctly. She rolled her eyes and simply immediately suggested leaving the cafe.

Voorheen was het werkelijk een leuke plek om naar toe te gaan. Nu zit je er niet zo ontspannen, de bediening haalt direct de spullen weg zodra je de laatste slok koffie neemt. Heeft ook niet zoveel te doen, druk is het niet. Lunch was goed, niet optimaal. Vijf-en-een-halve euro voor een flat white is werkelijk te gek. Er zijn gelukkig andere locaties in Dordrecht. Wiens Genoegen is het eigenlijk, van de eigenaar? Zal niet lang duren. Jammer, het oogt gezellig.

Ate there with a large group. (12) Of which 1 had a severe gluten allergy. Communication with the team with the reservation and allergy options went excellent! Everything was quick and clear. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening itself. The service was excellent and the dishes delicious. Highly recommended! Whether there are two of you or a large group.

Met 8 mensen van verschillende generaties één oordeel: slecht! Vuile tafel waar je letterlijk aan vast blijft plakken, Veel van de kaart niet verkrijgbaar. Drankjes waarvoor het koffieapparaat aangezet moest worden werden niet meer geserveerd (om circa 20.30 uur!!). Bediening uiterst traag. We werden ongastvrij weggekeken. Om 21.30 uur de aankondiging dat we ons laatste drankje moesten bestellen. Even later of we alvast wilden afrekenen want dan kon de kassa worden afgesloten. Kwaliteit van de cocktails onder de maat. Kortom: altijd links laten liggen.

Unfortunately, Dorts Genoegen is no longer what it used to be. Tables with a paper placemat on them and the service is also minimal. I even saw people walking away who were not helped. Too bad, because it used to be so much fun!

They have a gluten-free menu and still many options to choose from if you need to eat gluten-free. The food was really delicious!

We were here with about 100 people... the business is suitable for this! However, not the cloakroom.. we were kindly served.. afterwards a buffet. However, it is too small for so many people and you literally run into the light. "Improvement point" The food itself was fine for a buffet.

The toilet has no door for the gentlemen. The door to the ladies toilet was closed and the door to 1 could not be closed
