The food was delicious, and the atmosphere is truly cozy and pub-like. For dessert, they're thankfully accommodating to fruit and nut allergies. They even specifically mentioned that the crumbs were cookie crumbs, not nuts. Truly top-notch service!

It's a shame that smoking is still allowed on the front terrace if you want to enjoy a nice lunch in the sun. A smoker next door blew smoke onto my food several times, and it clearly irritated everyone. I think it would create a much more customer-friendly atmosphere if it were banned. Smoking is so outdated these days, and you can just sit on a bench anywhere on Statenplein. It really spoiled my delicious lunch.

The food was truly delicious. Appetizer, starter, main course, and dessert. Everything was top-notch.

Don't go here. The staff refuses to help you if they have to walk five steps in the rain. They'll speak to you in English, and they're polite. Run past this café.

People were also singing at the square, good atmosphere, enjoyed it.

(Edit: Service quality in the ditch. Food has become way too expensive and boring. Not what it used to be. You'd better go to Boekmans.) A top location with many delicacies, friendly staff and owner. I'm a big fan of the lunch menu and recommend the Philly Cheese Steak, but the squid rings and tapas platters are also great if you're with 2 people. I also regularly come back for the Mombasa and Whiskey Sour cocktail. Top place, just avoid when it's busy, quality can fluctuate (I don't blame them for that), but when it's quiet it's great.

Just change the beer menu to indicate that you have quack amber. And not the other.

Nice terrace...but I have never had such a small beer glass for 3.25 euros anywhere...just a little while and you will get your beer in a gin glass.

Cozy terrace, summer or winter!

We were allowed to choose a place ourselves, we had a nice round table with benches, a cozy spot. The food took a very long time. The waitress agreed that the meat was not well done. We opted to just eat it otherwise it would have taken even longer. Our daughter wanted cheese on her pancake instead of a normal one and this was no problem. We had a pleasant evening. We had a good waitress but all in all it could have been a little better.

The intention was to write a nice review, but because the staff is too blunt to answer a question via Facebook, the other four stars go down the drain.

I want to come back to a review I just read. I was at the Klander Muelen myself at that time. Helped by the same gentleman mentioned in the review as the waiter with a hairdresser who is on holiday and without shampoo. What does this have to do with someone's performance? I, on the other hand, find that waiter very hospitable, helpful and very friendly. I want to say to Mr. Vlleeuw, what a relief that you no longer go to the Klander Muelen. All the more room there is for people who enjoy good service.

As far as we're concerned, the last time. Day in Dordrecht. After walking and shopping a bit, we start to feel hungry. We always stop at this place for something to drink or eat. The sunny places were already occupied, so I wanted to check inside to see if there was room. We were simply blocked by a waiter (probably his hairdresser is on holiday or he has run out of shampoo) After answering these questions and going to the back, we said there were still 5 tables available and all tables were still available inside. But before we were allowed to sit down, we were blocked again, this time by a rude waitress, where we were asked the same questions again and had to answer them before we were finally allowed to choose a table. Tables were set up for 2 people, there were 3 of us, so we put 2 tables together, we also received comments about this afterwards. We had only just sat down when the waitress came to ask us what we should drink, in the meantime we had taken a menu from the table next to us to see what we wanted to drink, the menu was simply taken from us and the waitress put it back on the table next to us. We didn't have time to choose our drink, so we had a coke instead of beer or wine. Then we received 3 menu cards, within 3 seconds the waitress was already back, we hadn't even received our drinks. And we had to order our food already. I will spare you this story, but ultimately as far as our family/friends/relatives are concerned, it will be the last time. After all, there are plenty of occasions where you lose your money and are treated respectfully.

Find a spot in the sun and relax on the lovely terrace. A Leffe blond on tap always goes in and rewards the exhausted shopper in the city center of Dordt.

We regularly come here for a snack and a drink. The atmosphere is always great, the covered terrace is even cozy when it rains! The menu has been adjusted a lot in recent years and when it is busy it is difficult for the service to keep up.

Went here on a good tip, unfortunately after 20 minutes still no help so we left. See you never again.

Had lunch here this afternoon with my son. We sat comfortably in the conservatory. Friendly staff. It was very busy because the weather was good. I chose bread with 2 croquettes and my son a carpaccio sandwich. The croquettes were really tasty. The carpaccio too. It also looked cozy inside. The toilets were also clean and fresh. Definitely recommended to go for a coffee or a bite to eat. We will definitely come back again. Thank you.

Today we thought we would have a nice lunch at Klander Meulen. Once you have arrived and know that the service is not optimal, you sit on the sunny terrace. Once we ordered 2 orange juices, which took quite a while before we got them, and then we immediately ordered food. We know from experience that it always takes so long before you receive something. In the meantime, I ordered 2 more orange juices and after at least 20 minutes the waitress came to report that there were no oranges. Quite a joke after 20 minutes when you only find out. In the meantime the food arrived: 2 x naan bread, 1 with melted brie and 1 with spicy chicken. I ordered the chicken but without chili peppers. I expected it not to be hot, but the flames flew out of my mouth it was so hot. So what happened to chili pepper (not to be eaten apparently) In the end I also missed the bean sprouts that were mentioned on the menu. Gave it back and didn't want anything else. I told the waitress that it often happens here that things don't go as you would expect. Well, I went inside to pay. I WAS RESIGNED THAT THE WAITRESS IN QUESTION WAS OUT OF Scents AND COLORS TO TELL THAT I (the customer) WAS A NICE. WELL LET ME TELL THAT LADY THAT ME AND A LOT OF OTHER VISITORS PAY HER SALARY. I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING, NOT EVEN FOR THE OTHER SANDWICH AND THE ORANGE JUICE. I JUST PAID. THIS IS AN RECOGNITION OF YOUR MISTAKE! The owner should spend more time in his business so that you can see what is happening in his business. And tip for the owner! And they'll never see me there again! Staff is rude and has a very wrong non-verbal expression towards guests. And one rule you should never do in the catering industry is talking about guests in front of other guests. You give such a wrong image about yourself and the case.

Nice atmosphere of a brown cafe. Drinks and food were fine, mocktails were original and cheesecake was good and not too dry. Service was special, advised against the cheesecake and after dinner she was told again that she would choose the carrot cake herself.

A great place in the center of the city. Everything completely fine. It's a shame but perhaps understandable, we wanted to order something and the lady in question said. No, that's not possible for me and I kept walking. There appears to be a difference in ordering and serving staff.

De Klandermeulen is a household name in Dordt. I used to come here often under the previous owner, but not regularly lately. A great reason to have lunch there last afternoon. At least, that's what we thought. Upon arrival we wanted to sit inside because of the cold and the friendly barmaid placed us at the back at a table for two. We started with a cup of coffee and also asked for the lunch menu. Both took about 5 minutes, but it is also a bit busier and lunchtime. After coffee we had lunch (2x a steak and cheese sandwich). This was served not much later and 2 drinks were immediately ordered, a coke and a vase of beer. So far so good. But by the end of our lunch dish (a rough 20 minutes later) the drinks still hadn't arrived. Maybe forgotten, I thought. However, I was unable to get the attention of the waitress in question (a slim lady in her early 20s with long blond straight hair) three times, who straightened tables and looked in many directions except the right one, despite seeking eye contact and beckoning. When the drinks arrived our plates were already empty. I then indicated that I regretted that the drinks, which were consumed when the food was served, did not arrive until after dinner. And that's where it went wrong. Instead of the waitress apologizing, she made the comment in a rude and derogatory tone: 'Whether she should take it away again.' I explained to the waitress that that was not necessary, but that it took too long for our experience. The waitress then started fussing over the 50 vouchers behind the bars and made another snappy comment about whether she should take the drinks back. We left it as it was, but we were both left perplexed at our table. What kind of strange behavior did we experience again? No empathy, no understanding, no apologies. Just a rude, inhospitable and belittling attitude... We then paid and left. Specifically, I have a problem with 3 things: 1. The fact that we have to wait 20 minutes for drinks that only arrive after the lunch dish. And if that had been the only thing, it wouldn't have been a big deal. 2. Communication. It could have been stated that the drinks took a little longer due to crowds. Then there would have been more understanding from us as guests. 3. The rude attitude of the waitress. I (we) are really not happy about this and that is why we will choose a different place than the Klandermeulen next time. Signed, Martin and Lillian.

If you ever eat at Klander Meulen restaurant, I sincerely hope that you get Kevin as your waiter. What an incredible experience he gave us! From the moment we walked in, Kevin radiated pure hospitality. He greeted us with a genuine smile and immediately made us feel at home. His sense of humor also created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere at the table. What really made our evening special was how Kevin treated us as if we were VIP guests. If I had to give a rating, Kevin would get an 11/10. He raises the level of service at Klander Meulen to a lonely height. Thank you, Kevin, for an evening we won't soon forget! It was great to have a drink and feed my daughter. Even the indoor terrace is wonderfully warm and cozy. Spacious so that strollers can easily reach the table.

Delicious fries with grated white truffle, shame about the parsley on top. Nice and warm thanks to patio heating. Due to the crowds, the service is a bit confusing and slow. Cozy decorated. Good price-quality ratio. 12 hours was ok, very good. Definitely recommended. Wheelchair friendly. Enough space between the tables and chairs to be able to drive the wheelchair on the outdoor terrace.

Been here several times for lunch. Always fine. Now the bread was 2 regular slices of bread with bavette, which was fine, but just less than I am used to normally. The lady serving grabbed the glasses from the top and quickly placed them on the table. Now it was busy, but still not pleasant. The four stars are really because I had previous experiences that were really great.

De keuken is voortreffelijk, zowel voor lunch als voor diner. De bediening daarentegen is slecht; door verschillende mensen werden meerdere keren gerechten en dranken vergeten door te geven aan de keuken. Heel irritant.

Nice to go to the market and have a cup of coffee on the covered terrace. However, the service is very disappointing. The young people probably mean well, but the system doesn't work. First, someone will take your order with a handheld computer. A capuchinno with three sugars. After 20 minutes someone else brings him a bag of sugar. When immediately asked for extra sugar, it was finally brought. I could finally drink my lukewarm cuppucino. Then asked. I had to pay and waiter number three had to be summoned to pay. After 45 minutes I could go, and I was not the only one on the terrace where it took so long, in fact it took longer at the other tables.
