The food was fine, but the service was poor. We had to ask several times if our food and drinks would arrive, and they were repeatedly forgotten. And this even though it wasn't busy at all.

Great restaurant, and our visit was definitely worth it. Christmas market in Dordrecht, and I'm glad we made a reservation (always prevents disappointment). It was incredibly busy. Service: Correct and fast, so fast that after our first bite, we were already asked if everything was to our liking (it seemed pre-programmed, but good). Dishes: Plenty of food, hot, good quality and quantity. Funky "artisanal" fries. Atmosphere: Cozy restaurant. Our seats, right by the entrance, could have been separated by the entrance door. Upon opening the door, we were met with a cold shower and sometimes (too often) people with a nicotine fume. Even for a toilet visit, you have to exit the restaurant (and re-enter) through that door, which isn't a good solution. Departure: That turned out to be a minor problem, because the staff finally managed to come to the table after about the sixth time (and now after being yelled at) to prepare the bill. Will you return to this restaurant? Certainly, minor issues deserve attention, but they're no reason not to return.

The food, the ambiance, and the staff were all excellent. There was a pleasant atmosphere (and among the staff, I think). The food was plentiful, hot, and well-cooked. The steaks were prepared as agreed. The spare ribs were also delicious. The pork tenderloin satay was deliciously tender and spicy. A comment about the amount of chicken (in the chicken thigh dish) was promptly resolved. Furthermore, the appetizer and dessert were also excellent. One positive note is that the whipped cream wasn't from a cheap can! All in all, we had a wonderful evening!

I'm currently at De Beren in Dordrecht. We've never seen such terrible service in any other restaurant. Glasses are constantly empty at every table, and we have to order drinks ourselves at the bar; no one checks to see if our glasses are empty. I find this absolutely unbelievable!

When we arrived we had to wait half an hour before someone came to ask what we wanted to drink. The food was otherwise fine.

We were eating something when we saw a lot of mice running around. When we reported it, nothing much was done about it, as the food was no longer edible, so they left.

The pork tenderloin and vegetables were raw when served. There was a long wait between dinner courses. And that was from 12 to 2 in the afternoon, with 10% occupancy. Not a good choice!

Tables are covered in food, menus are broken, dishes are broken, chips are hard and inedible, satay is lukewarm, soup with meatballs is not good, calamari is a small fry and aioli is inedible, no garlic taste, service is nice, they can't do anything about it, super bad, every euro is too much, never again, no excuse, what a disgrace

It's a shame that you order a hamburger and have to pay an extra 0.75 euro cents for a slice of tomato and you pay 0.49 cents for a pound in the supermarket. It's a shame that they don't see me anymore.

After a day out with my boyfriend we had a lovely dinner here! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious, especially compared to the prices! The location was easy to reach and it looked cosy both outside and inside! This is definitely a place to go to/come back to!

We went here for dinner today with a discount voucher from Social Deals. Had a quick response that our reservation was accepted. Luckily we could choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. Because of the weather we wanted to go outside! We got tomato soup as a starter and after that you could choose from a number of dishes. My friend chose the club sandwich with spicy chicken and I had the goat cheese. I indicated that I wanted it vegetarian, which they did nicely! The food was delicious, the service was very good and the staff friendly.

We had rib-eye steak and tenderloin tips. It was very tasty and medium cooked as agreed! The atmosphere was great, nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly, you can tell they enjoy their work! Small point: keep a close eye on the guest, our glasses were empty for a while. Eventually we went to the bar for a drink. But that's a small point we think! Really nice restaurant not cheap but also not expensive. The workers are nice and eager to fulfil special requests (usually without extra costs). The atmosphere is cozy and warm and this is the kind of restaurant that just makes your food and brings it to your table, no unnecessary waiting, and I like that

Went to the bears for Mother's Day. We first visited a museum and then went here. The location is ideal for a day in the city center of Dordrecht. The interior is beautiful, the service is always friendly and happy to think along with you.

Had dinner on the terrace with 5 people. Service nice but sloppy. Took a long time for order to be taken. Forgot to prepare main course for 1 person, this came later (too late). Exactly the same with dessert. 1 person had to wait while the rest were almost ready.

glorified snack bar. MEDIUM meal for relatively much money. Poor factory fries. No salad/vegetables included. The menu is stuck somewhere in the 80s. Little fish, minimal vegetarian/vegan. No, you won't see me back here for a meal.

Ate here with my friend, Food came quite quickly, drinks ordered, we received other drinks... then the ribeye steak was specified as medium rare and I had specified not too rare. It still arrived very red, you were eating completely raw meat and you paid €36 for it, I went home in complete disgust, no more bears for me.

La ensalada nos han servido sin ningún tipo de aliño y cuando pedimos algo (aceite y vinagre, o algo para que no sea tan seca la ensalada) nos han dicho que no tienen nada... Me parece de ridículo que el restaurante no tenga una cuchara de aceite, ni nada para el aliño. O nos han dicho esto para liberarse de nosotros... Pues, no os preocupéis, ni volveremos, ni aconsejaremos a nadie

The Carpaccio salad was without dressing. Only a little bit on the carpaccio. I first asked for some olive oil, they didn't have it, then I asked another waiter for balsamic vinegar, which I didn't get either. After checkout, reported it to a young blonde girl. She said they didn't have balsamic vinegar but I noticed my daughter's salad did have balsamic vinegar. She said it was balsamic dressing and looked very rude.

De Carpaccio salade was zonder dressing. Alleen een klein beetje op de carpaccio. Ik vroeg eerst wat olijfolie, hadden ze het niet, daarna vroeg ik aan een andere ober balsamico azijn, ook niet gekregen. Na het afrekenen, dat gemeld aan een jonge blonde meisje. Ze zei dat ze geen balsamico hadden maar ik zag dat de salade van mijn dochter wel balsamico had. Ze zei dat het was balsamico dressing en keek heel onbeschoft.

Friendly service, terrible food. Ordered spareribs, costing nearly 40 euro, for this amount of money you expect fresh ribs, very own farm grown meat, but no!!! You could taste the ribs came from a plastic back, pre-cooked and frosen. Terrible taste and in defrosting, they even managed to burn it to a crisp. Ate it, because i was hungry and had to go back to work in half an hour. I told the waitress, that if they wanted a good restaurant, to fire the Cook immediatly!!!! Don't go there, prices are Michellin worthy and the foodis horrible. You best go to the nearest snackbar, wich are way,way cheaper and with better food

The restaurant has undergone a transformation for several years and this can no longer be compared to the restaurant of the past. Extensive and varied menu. Enjoyed a delicious lunch. Service is polite but can still take the step to host/hostess (welcome, pay attention, less distant and make it a special experience for the guest). The atmosphere is cozy due to the different seating areas and configurations. The interior is warm and modern. Nice that you can take a look into the kitchen through the semi-open design. We like to come there regularly.

Had dinner here on the terrace on Saturday evening The food was fine, not special but fine. We really didn't like the service. Ordered a drink, had to ask twice where it was. I think we received our drinks half an hour after ordering. Answer: that it was busy at the bar. The terrace outside was about half occupied but we had to wait a very long time for each dish. It took more than 45 minutes between starter and main course. After clearing the main course, wait another 20 minutes for 1 cup of coffee. All in all we sat for 2 hours for a starter and main course. I think there is still room for improvement in this.

We had dinner here on April 4, '25. Relax on the terrace. We arrived at 5:55 PM and were only helped 10 minutes later. It was not busy on the terrace, people who came later were helped earlier. Ordered food and starter came quite full, but there was 45 minutes between starter and main course. My main course was not what was ordered. But we had to go to the theater so we ended up having dinner. While serving the main course at 7 p.m., we immediately asked if dessert could also be served. The lady went to arrange it and brought the bill "if she doesn't forget", the waitress said. . I went to pay at 7.25 pm, when dessert had not yet arrived. I had to get the car and my girlfriend stayed behind. Dessert came at 7:35 PM, so 35 minutes later, while we had specifically indicated at 7:00 PM that we were on time. We did report it, but there wasn't much they could do about it. It was very busy. We didn't see it, because there were still empty spots both inside and outside. Maybe more staff in the kitchen? We are not happy. Food took a long time and ultimately very substandard for the price.

lekker gegeten alleen jammer dat de dikke patat op was. we gingen hier eten met het gezin voor de verjaardag van mijn vrouw, van te voren nog gebeld met dit restaurant om bij het dessert een sterretje of iets te branden bij haar dessert, hier zou rekening mee gehouden worden, helaas was dit vergeten, dat is toch jammer. voor de rest prima gegeten.

What a bad bad thing We had to eat our food for an hour and a half. Called the company twice and both times they said the order was just going into the oven. Now 2 hours later and still nothing. Too bizarre for words, people please never order here!! Scandalous

Had a delicious meal last Saturday, just like always. I don't have much to say about the food. After our bread platter we had to wait a long time until they came to take our order. We had been sitting in the restaurant for an hour. It's Saturday, so I thought it must be busy. After waiting a while our food arrived. But we hadn't even received cutlery yet! I didn't think the service was very good this evening. We were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink, so I only had 1 drink the entire evening. Hopefully this is an incident and next time the service will be what I have come to expect from you. There was also a considerable layer of dust on the lamps that hang above the table and therefore above your food. The restaurant could therefore be kept a little better.

Had a 4 course dinner. Tasted good too and was versatile. Great help from Enzo on 18-01-2025. Works very hard and is very customer-friendly and enthusiastic. Keep a close eye on everything and respond quickly to situations. In the meantime, he also maintains peace and control. Thanks to Enzo's help, we would immediately recommend the Beren in Dordrecht to everyone.

The service is friendly and we received our food quite quickly. We had a 3 course menu (Kirdvat) you can choose from a customized menu. Enough choice, but it's a pity that there are no spareribs on it. We had a delicious meal. It is also nice that you are regularly asked that everything is to your satisfaction. The food was hot and the fries were nice and crispy.

Food is good but simple. Food only comes when the other guest is ready, so ordering drinks you almost have to tackle someone. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant... but not a sublime atmosphere

The food is good. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time even though it was not very busy. After 25 minutes I asked the staff if they knew approximately how long it would take. The lady went to ask in the kitchen. She then did not return to us while she was busy behind the bar with administration and this was close to us. Still waiting and this took another fifteen minutes. People behind us who arrived a bit later had already finished their lunch. Too bad this had to take so long and the lady didn't come back to us.

This is clearly a popular restaurant as we were barely able to get a table at 4.30 on a Monday afternoon and when we left they were turning people away. I can see why as it offers the sort of inoffensive, straightforward menu that works well for families and groups. We ended up seated in a booth at the far end of the restaurant and this worked very nicely. It felt quite private and the ambient noise level remained low even as the other tables filled up. Unfortunately this also meant that our service was intermittent and for some reason our main course took forever to arrive. Which was odd considering that it was mostly burgers and ribs with fries. So hardly high-end cooking requiring elaborate culinary techniques. Still the food was fine if somewhat dull. More along the lines of a decent supermarket ready-meal rather than a restaurant experience but at a restaurant price. If you're looking for a comfortable bar with plenty of beer and a menu that'll be acceptable to everyone then you'll do fine at Restaurant De Beren. But if you're hoping for something special then perhaps you should walk on by.
