Never had falafel that deliciously light/fluffy. Next time will go full spicy.

My GP referred me to Dr. Falafel. Completely cured, highly recommended.

This is real artisanal falafel. I've only had it this good in the Middle East. Now it's also available on Stadhouderskade.

9/10. He makes one thing and makes it delicious. Pita with falafel for €8. Not the tastiest falafel I've ever had, but it's good for Amsterdam and much better than Turkish snack bar falafel. Beware: there's a queue around noon.

We were looking for a quick place to eat lunch, hoping for a sit down place. However we came across this falafel stand at the intersection and the reviews were intriguing. So no real sitting unless you sit in the bench on the side of the stand. Let me say, they were not wrong. Excellent falafel sandwich in a fresh pita bread. Only falafel’s nothing else. This guy (owner) makes them spicy, any hot food lover would enjoy. I’m Indian and loved it. Great deal for 8 euros.

The greatest falafel pita I’ve ever had. I don’t even like falafel and I dream of these. Sometimes I convince my husband there’s nothing we could possibly make for lunch so we have to get Dr falafel. Do yourself a favor and stop by and try a spicy one, you won’t be disappointed!

Food is stellar! Only downside is on-the-street-corner part, but I guess it keeps the price down! The spicy option is just so that your mouth is a tad bit on fire without acid reflux the days after!

One of the most delicious falafel sandwiches I've ever tasted. I'd go back home for it. We got 2 sandwiches for 40 riyals. The food truck is small, but clearly famous and in demand. We had made lunch reservations, and I didn't want to get full, so I decided to try it. The sandwich is made of bread, like Egyptian bread, and they ask if you want it hot or spicy. They add tahini, cucumber and tomato salad, and green dakous. The falafel is crispy, blond, and delicious.

My favorite on-the-go food! I stumbled upon this place 4 years ago while wandering around Amsterdam, and ever since, I’ve been hooked on their pita falafels. The falafel is freshly fried right in front of you, and the sourdough pita is something special—you don’t find that just anywhere. The veggies are super fresh, and the hummus is incredibly creamy. So, so good.

Ah the best falafel by far! We arrived in Amsterdam and have been carrying around our backpacks, needed something fresh and quick and got to try Dr. Falafel and wow- yummy, spicy hot (you get to choose how spicy you like it), green leaves, sauce..honestly it made our day and we had a nice chat with him, all good energy service. Priced for 8€ for this huge meal. I’ll be back for sure and I’d highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you :)

I wish I'd take a photo of the gigantic falafel pita pocket I'd eaten but I was starving and dove in. It is hands down the best falafel I've had in my life. Service was prompt, and each sandwich costs about 8.5 Euros. The portion is massive, and the spice level is customisable. Please grab a sandwich to go if you're in the area!

My family and I have had some great meals during our week long trip in the Netherlands including at some highly rated (and expensive) sit down restaurants, but my favorite meal so far was my “spicy” falafel pita sandwich from Dr Falafel. his Falafel are made fresh one falafel sandwich’s worth at a time, sauces are applied thoughtfully with attention to detail (even adding a few last falafel after the sauces) making every bite from first to last a pleasure. I’m writing this review at the end of our trip and I’m still wanting to go out of my way to have another!

I have never seen a one-item-menu food truck before. Although he only serves pita falafel, he managed to take it far and beyond. Both the bread and the falafel are freshly made In front of you. The toppings make a perfect taste combination. One sandwich was enough for my lunch. Although some might find it a little bit expensive (€8) , compared to other sandwiches, I find this price is more than perfect. I am definitely going back again.

Delicious falafel sandwich. The golden yellow falafel is freshly made and thrown directly into the fryer. Nice to see! Good toppings (tomato, pickle, sumac onions, cucumber) that were cut small so you can taste everything with every bite. The hummus and techina were plentiful and tasty. The zhough is tasty, but spicy, so we took a little. All this on a fluffy pita! Great tent!

Delicious falafel. Very tasteful. The spicy variant was very spicy but in a good way. It didn't detract from the taste. Tears ran down my cheeks but I still tasted all the delicious flavors in the sandwich. It is a perfect combination of fresh, warm, crunchy and tasty.

Mid spicy is not mid but very high so becareful :) taste and portion are good.

I ordered a spicy falafel, and was warned that it is "Really spicy". Now I like it spicy, and it was no lie, the sandwich is really spicy! Luckily I live around the corner and I brought the sandwich with me to eat at home, and I was able to deglaze it with some ayran. Next time I'll try a "medium", although the spicy one was very tasty. And I'm used to spicy food, which makes a difference. But damn, spicy is really spicy. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately I got really sick after eating here. I went for dinner a couple weeks ago and was up most of the night and the next morning very sick. I planned on going back to mention this to the employees the next day but it was closed so I decided to write a review here to notify the business as there is no contact information listed anywhere else to reach out. I guess it must have been an off day as there are really good reviews, but I have not been that sick from anywhere else so I am not sure why it had happened ( and on my last day in Amsterdam, of course! :( )
