First, we enjoyed a delicious lemonade outside. Then the four of us ate inside. The cheesy fries, mango falafel, tomato and olive quesadilla, and pizza were delicious, and the cheesecake was also a hit. A great place to enjoy a drink and a meal!

I never had a chicken merguez and was expecting it to be "less than" the usual BUT it was one of the best I ever had! (Owners: if you ever want to sell them in large packs for home...you have a loyal customer) Amazing place! And for low prices too - treat yourself!

Really loved this place!! Had nachos, fries and glutenfree falafel pita. The falafel have been very tasty. The cream on top of the nachos was a dream 🌝.. Definitely recommended 🥰

I was there on Saturday afternoon with a friend. Ordered falafel with mango and chilli falafel. Food was delicious and well balanced. Portions are of a decent size and leave you enough room for dessert. 😅 what I do think needs to be highlighted is very friendly service from Kim! It made our dining experience very enjoyable. Definitely coming back!

Amazing Pitas! Interesting flavours combinations (shoutout to the Pita Mango - delicious!) for a very filling lunch / dinner / snack. I remember I tried also their beers and snacks a couple of years ago and they were also great. I'd recommend Kauffam for everything, from lunch to after work borrel to dinner :) Friendly and welcoming staff as well!

Fantastic Falafel! Had the Falafel with Mango and one with Merguez sausage, both really delicious! Also had the Freud halloumi sticks and the cauliflower as a starter which were really delicious too! For dessert, I had the gluten-free chocolate brownie and the cheesecake, especially the brownie was really delicious! Great place and really welcoming service!

It is a small and cozy restaurant specializing in filafel. Although it is a little far from the city, it is a place that makes delicious filafel and is worth visiting from far away to enjoy a meal and drink.

Falafel and merguez pita was good. We ordered garlic bread, but it tasted more like parsley than garlic.

The best gluten-free falafel and pita! The staff was extremely attentive and even asked if I was celiac. All the falafel is gluten-free, but they also offer regular gluten-containing pitas. However, if you mention that you have celiac disease, they will handle your order separately to prevent cross-contamination. They also fried the sweet potato fries in a dedicated pan. Overall, a great experience—I will definitely be back!

Great and special falafel. I ordered here several times. I did enter some comments in my Uber Eats order that they’re apparently repeatedly not reading, hence I give them 1 star less. I asked them not to use the spicy sauce on the pita and no salt in the fries, but each time they’re ignoring my comments which is a bit of a disappointment. Hope they will improve their service in that way. Other than that it’s all great and very tasty.

Our best stop for food in Amsterdam. The service is really fantastic, super nice and accommodating. The selection of food and the quality of the food is a 10/10. everything super crisp and fresh. The falafel are so delicious.

Very nice vibe location and the falafel pita are delicious and good. Portions are good and filling for reasonable prices. However, service a bit slow I ordered a falafel pita and fries and the fries only came after I finished my falafel which is just too much.

Stepped in for lunch and a coffee, and was very positively surprised. Falafel with ratatouille and lamb was extraordinarily delicious, will be definitely coming back for more!! Editing 4 years later and it’s still an amazing place. The cheesy fries are so freaking good that they should be made illegal 🥹

Oh, and there Kauffmann pics on tap.. so nice, and at €6.50 a 500ml/pint, it's a good price for Amsterdam Will return again soon

Overall ok experience, since I had heard a lot about the food here being very good, we went, honestly not as good as we hoped. We ate garlic bread, was good, but sweet sauce on top (was tasty, but too sweet), also peppers on side were a bit sweet. Ratatouille was very oily in one pita, and overpowered rest of flavors. The other pita with halloumi and pineapple had some chutney on the side, but it was overpowered with other flavours. On both pitas, there were 2 falafel squares, which were also a bit oily, and the halloumi was 1 slice in the pita.

This really is a top spot in the West with great falafel, super tasty side dishes, a sunny terrace and a super tasty menu of tropical lemonades.

I had many falafels in Amsterdam and this is by far the best one you can get in town! I had the one with mango which was super delicious, very juicy and mouth watering. The staff is super friendly and they have a great selection of drinks.

We ate 2 pitas and the salad with mango + the fries, everything was really incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was very casual, modern and relaxed and we immediately felt very comfortable. 100% recommended, all the employees were very nice and took great care of themselves :)

Hidden in a street, door behind a plant. We ended up at Kauffmann's for lunch. Small shop with mainly vegetarian dishes. We had an appetizer of the sticks in photo 1 and fallafel pitas. It was quite difficult to eat, so in the bowl with a knife and fork is preferable. Delicious food and drinks, I had kambucha tea. Delicious and healthy, nice place, will definitely come again.

It’s very tasty place with amazing pitas. Feta pita was good and juicy but kimchi pita was a bit dry. I liked their mocktails very much. There are good variety of beers. It’s better to make a reservation as there are not a lot of tables.

Restaurant Kaufmann biedt een aangename eetervaring voor wie opzoek is naar een snelle maaltijd zonder al te veel franje. De vriendelijke sfeer in het restaurant is zeker een pluspunt, maar het kan soms een beetje traag zijn als het gaat om drankjes bestellen. Verwacht geen culinair hoogstandje, maar eerder een degelijke maaltijd voor een redelijke prijs! Een goede optie als je snel ergens wilt eten zonder lange veel poespas.

So something has happened here that has never happened to me in Amsterdam. I got my beer brought, a glass and a can of what I chose and a waitress noticed that the glass had some water so she disposed of the water. Omg i get a watery glass so often in Amsterdam, even in restaurants, always looking for a plant to water, it was not the case here, kudos! Small things matter!

We ordered at this place after the good reviews here and on Uber. Unfortunately I have to say that we were left a bit disappointed. The most delicious thing we’re the fried jalapeños which according to be menu were made with cheddar but only had normal crème cheese. Still delicious but not what I expected. A lot of the other items unfortunately had some kind of creamy cheese that we didn’t like very much. The pita with roasted cauliflower was ok but we had the same creamy issue and I was missing some flavor. Overall ok place with great vegetarian options but I wouldn’t order again because of the flavor.

A great place for some falafel. Never been to any of the countries of origin but this one is def a great tasting place. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Try their sauces with caution...they are salty and very hot 😀

Exceptional. Hidden gem in an easily overlooked side street. Falafel was perhaps the best I've had and the variety of toppings really transform it into a whole new dish. After a long winters walk to Kauffman from Amsterdam Central, with a now very hangry and ratty girlfriend, we arrived at a cute looking eatery, fitted with warm lighting and a nice array of plants/art. It did take a while for the waiter to take our order, but he was very nice and personable. I had the lamb and falafel Pitta, it was a marriage of flavours. My girlfriend had the fetta based salad which turned her from hangry to happy! Nice beer to go on the side as well, with citrusy tones. My GF had a Hugo Appertif which was well received!

Lekkerste Falafal van Amsterdam, perfect op smaak. Mijn favoriete is de Merquez en de groene chill. Ook een hele goede drankenkaart met heerlijke gins en perfecte locale bieren. Ideaal op te combineren met een Falafelplank.

Tenía mucha hambre cuando visité Kauffman, pero aparte de eso, esta es la mejor pita de falafel que he tenido. Pedí el falafel con queso feta y agregué pepinillos, que no fue un error. El falafel estaba crujiente por fuera y esponjoso por dentro, recién cocinado y el resto de los ingredientes se combinaron de manera experta para hacer de este un festín delicioso. También hay una impresionante selección de cerveza y puedes seleccionar un juego de mesa para animar la experiencia. El servicio era bueno, estábamos en el período de inactividad del día, así que era tranquilo y teníamos la atención que necesitábamos. Ojalá supiera de un lugar como este cerca de Londres.
