€7.50 for a large falafel pita is very reasonable for this location. It's really delicious, and you don't have to wait long. My recommendation is to put some sauce on the falafel first, then the salad toppings, and then more sauce, because otherwise you'll only have sauce on top. It's a shame that customers are so disrespectful to the owners, leaving their trash, leftover food, and generally the entire place so dirty. The food is very good, though.

Their fries are excellent. It's run by Arabs and very clean. It's a place right on Dam Square. You can get your fill with a regular size. It's a bit busy, but your order comes quickly.

Fast service, the food is fresh and everything is vegan! You get to pick/ add the stuff in the pita, and theres plenty to choose from. It is somewhat overpriced, I have never paid so much for a falafel before. Although there are quite some tables to have a seat at, but not for the ambient.

Nowadays, I prefer to go to restaurants that respect the food and its heritage. _____ I used to really like Maoz Falafel and went there a few times. But later I discovered that the chain was originally founded by an Israeli entrepreneur, and that they present falafel as an “Israeli” dish — even though falafel is a well-known Palestinian and Arab food with deep cultural roots. That honestly changed how I feel about the place. I now prefer to support restaurants that respect the origins of the food and the culture it comes from.

Very tasty and fresh falafel pita pockets. Everything is completely vegan, and you can top your pita with your own ingredients as desired.

I had an excellent meal here. I had the falafel pita. At first I felt a bit taken aback that it doesn't have hummus unless one pays extra, but wow, she put so many falafels in the pita! (And I'm glad I added the extra hummus..It's 80c, but the total was still under 9E, which for Amsterdam is a great price for a sit-down meal). The pita and all veggies and sauces were really nice and I loved that I could choose my veggies, pack the pita myself and add any sauces or veggies later also. Really filling, healthy and everything is 100% vegan, so no need to worry and check on sauces etc. As a tourist in a city where I almost bought the wrong food (vega means vegetarian, not vegan) I was glad to have a worry-free, filling, cost-effective lunch.

While exploring food options in Amsterdam, my family and I had a deeply negative experience at Maoz Falafel. I cannot recommend this establishment due to the poor quality of the food and the unacceptable behavior of the staff. The primary issue was the **appalling customer service**. Although two members of my family purchased falafel from the shop, we were forbidden from sitting at their tables because we also had french fries purchased from a neighboring store. Despite being paying customers, the staff, particularly one man, was rigid and unwelcoming about this policy. Furthermore, the **food was just ok**. The falafel was of a regular, proving to be a just ok. The behavior of the employee was also described as disgusting and created a hostile atmosphere. Due to the combination of the food and unprofessional service, my family will not return to Maíz Falafel. I would advise others to avoid this establishment.

This is one of the most delicious falafel I've ever eaten. With chickpeas and eggplant, the most important thing is to make the mixture exactly right. I agree with those who say their fries are tastier than the blue ones next to them. I've been there 3 times.

Amazing place. Got a nice Falafel, fried eggplant and hummus. Then I had the opportunity to add all kinds of fresh salads to my base. Amazing, fresh mix for a good price. Plus I accidentally dropped my bowl and one of the employees really kindly cleaned up the mess. Good place in the tourist area.

I was wandering around Amsterdam busy city centre, tired and getting increasingly hangry, and Maoz Vegan saved me! Food and service great, only problem is there’s no toilet.

Highly recommended for vegetarians. Everything’s was so delicious we tried pita falafel and salad bowls with fries. Its like you can get unlimited fillings. Tasted like heaven

Fresh hot falafel, salad fresh , was really tasty. lots of flavour. People do try sit on the tables outside from the place selling fries next door. I have seen this multiple times over my short visit in Amsterdam. There is a sign saying no food from other places to be eaten there. It is an amazing best falafel and very tasty. Highly Recommed😊

I regularly come here for a falafel sandwich. Well, is it the nicest store? No, maybe not, but for vegetarians I think it is the tastiest sandwich in Amsterdam. The salad bar is delicious and extensive and you can choose what you want to eat and delicious spicy sauces. More of a place to get a quick sandwich on the way home or work. Perhaps not every employee is equally hospitable, but I wouldn't call them unfriendly either. I think I come here twice a month but I am always greeted kindly.

Unfortunately, the large crowds meant that some corners looked a bit dingy. Conclusion: If you can ignore the hustle and bustle, you will find one of the best addresses for vegan fast food in Amsterdam here.

Average food, high priced, arrogant staff, cramped space

10 years ago I tried falafel here for the first time, I really liked it. And they still have very tasty falafel. A simple high street eatery, but simply the best.
