Honestly, it’s rating on here fooled me. It’s not that good. The falafel salad is a below average deep fried falafel in a box that they just give you to pick ingredients for from the sad looking salad bar. The only job of the workers is to put falafel to deep fry 😭😭 like what. Such a weird concept. Uneasy feeling atmosphere

I have eaten at the Maoz outlet in Barcelona multiple times. The food here is was equally good but the staff was very rude! There was 1 female and 1 male staff who were extremely snappy with customers and were not bothered to patiently explain the one time serve concept. Simply snapping at someone who tried to ask a question. Couple of different folks who had only bought fries and when back to top up the ketchup (not any special sauce) weren’t allowed to top up ketchup. Great food but don’t go in expecting good service.

I recently tried the vegan food at Maoz and had a great experience. I ordered a salad bowl and pita bread with falafel, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. I really liked their self-service style where you can add as many vegetables as you want. The location is very convenient as it’s right near Amsterdam Central Station. Overall, delicious food and a very satisfying vegan option. Highly recommended.

Good, but not like it used to be. Maoz used to be one of my favorite places for fresh, vegetarian falafel bowls with unlimited toppings. Unfortunately, the quality has declined somewhat – the falafel tastes drier, and the selection of salads and sauces is less varied. The location remains convenient, and the prices are reasonable. However, the former burst of freshness and the generous side dishes are missing. Verdict: A solid fast-food option, but no longer the highlight it once was. Anyone who remembers Maoz from the past will be disappointed.

Great little place with bright colors and various seating options where fast food is still somewhat healthy. Even when it's crowded, you still feel like you can sit relatively quietly. But most importantly: what a difference from supermarket falafel: creamy, soft on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Delicious with lots of vegetables and cilantro sauce in a soft pita. My daughter had the fries with mayo from the menu we shared and was also completely satisfied.

Cleanliness is zero out of ten. As soon as we entered, the guy who works and takes out the trash cleans the tables with his hands. After that, he went to take our order. I thought maybe he would wash his hands and wear gloves or at least sterilize them. No!! He took my bread to be heated without gloves and put it in the heating station. The problem is the glove box in front of him. After that, he put some falafel for me!! He found lettuce fallen to the side, so he picked it up and put it back in the same box. 🫠I swear I didn’t eat the one you rate as excellent. By God, what is your situation!!

Just a short walk from central station. Fully vegan. Perfect for a quick bite or something to grab on the go. It can get busy in peak hours, but service is generally fast.

My favorite place in Amsterdam. Whenever I visit this city, I always make a point of stopping to eat at Maoz. My favorite combination: pita with hummus and extra fried eggplant, from the free included add-ons I take cucumbers, tomatoes, mixed olives, pickled eggplant (oh my god, is this divine?) and be sure to try the coriander sauce👌

I returned to Moaz Falafel after a few years, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The quality of the ingredients has noticeably deteriorated: frozen cucumbers, cheaper olives, and sauces that don't taste like they used to. The staff also doesn't seem any friendlier than before—perhaps there's a new owner? Thankfully, the falafel itself is still delicious, but that's not enough to make up for it. After years of being a loyal fan, I'll pass on the next time.

If I could give less than one star, I would give it to the Indian man in the shop. Disrespectful. I took fries from the shop next to him and went to sit down to order falafel from them. I had been to this location multiple times and before this they used to be great. This time i ordered mushroom shawarma however it was too oily, and not at all good. Also the pita bread they served with it was too crisp. If you stick with their maoz falafal, i think you should be fine, ordering food other than that, will totally disappoint you.

My recommendation is to put some sauce on the falafel first, then the salad toppings, and then more sauce, because otherwise you'll only have sauce on top. It's a shame that customers are so disrespectful to the owners, leaving their trash, leftover food, and generally the entire place so dirty. The food is very good, though.

I had an excellent meal here. I had the falafel pita. At first I felt a bit taken aback that it doesn't have hummus unless one pays extra, but wow, she put so many falafels in the pita! (And I'm glad I added the extra hummus..It's 80c, but the total was still under 9E, which for Amsterdam is a great price for a sit-down meal). The pita and all veggies and sauces were really nice and I loved that I could choose my veggies, pack the pita myself and add any sauces or veggies later also. Really filling, healthy and everything is 100% vegan, so no need to worry and check on sauces etc. As a tourist in a city where I almost bought the wrong food (vega means vegetarian, not vegan) I was glad to have a worry-free, filling, cost-effective lunch.

While exploring food options in Amsterdam, my family and I had a deeply negative experience at Maoz Falafel. I cannot recommend this establishment due to the poor quality of the food and the unacceptable behavior of the staff. The primary issue was the **appalling customer service**. Although two members of my family purchased falafel from the shop, we were forbidden from sitting at their tables because we also had french fries purchased from a neighboring store. Despite being paying customers, the staff, particularly one man, was rigid and unwelcoming about this policy. Furthermore, the **food was just ok**. The falafel was of a regular, proving to be a just ok. The behavior of the employee was also described as disgusting and created a hostile atmosphere. Due to the combination of the food and unprofessional service, my family will not return to Maíz Falafel. I would advise others to avoid this establishment.

This is one of the most delicious falafel I've ever eaten. With chickpeas and eggplant, the most important thing is to make the mixture exactly right. I agree with those who say their fries are tastier than the blue ones next to them. I've been there 3 times.

I was wandering around Amsterdam busy city centre, tired and getting increasingly hangry, and Maoz Vegan saved me! Food and service great, only problem is there’s no toilet.
