Stopped by for a quick meal and ended up having a great experience. The falafel was fresh and customizable exactly how I wanted. The lady stuffs were very friendly, welcoming and explained the menu options gently. Definitely one of the best falafel spots.

The quality and taste of the food were beyond description, and the staff were extremely kind, friendly, and generous in their service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

4 years ago, this was the first vegan restaurant I tried in Amsterdam. I come back every year, I love it. It's good to stop and eat something quick. There is no restroom and no free wifi.

It's very tasty and filling; they give you your choice of base, and you select the rest from the salad bar.

We ate Maoz falafel pita. €8.50. They put falafel in a mini pita, and you add whatever you want from the open salad bar in front. It was quite filling and delicious.

The falafel sandwich is delicious. The staff's service is excellent. However, they lack hygiene. They take money from customers and then handle the bread without washing their hands.

Delicious, I swear! And the portions are generous, of course. They have large and small falafel; I got both. You add your own salads and toppings, so the food is nice and clean, honestly. It's a bit pricey, but like other Arab restaurants, I'd go again.

Super good, healthy, and affordable. Get the salad bowl. They only have 3 small falafels which I thought was odd but then they told me I get to put all the salad toppings on that I want, it made sense. The falafels tastes amazing and all of the sides you add are delicious. Edited: come at night when they are throwing everything out. You get more falafels!

DON’T GO.!!!! DON’T GO I learn the hard way that not all maoz are the same. I walked in thinking it was the same as the one around the flower market ( it is not there anymore) I ordered a falafel and pay quickly. Only after paying I realized that the food on the salad bar looked old and not good. When I got my falafel the guy behind the counter HAD NO GLOVES. He put 3 little cold falafels and I complain that there were only three and there were cold.. He o said that was the right amount and offered to fry new ones. It was then that I notice the FRYING OIL WAS BLACK. I felt sick and ask for my money back and which the cooked and the cashier denied and say that they are not the same maoz. Indeed not all maoz are the sam. TTHEY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOUKD CHECK ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT.. MANY HEALTH VIOLATIONS HERE!

Sooo...delicious! 🤩 We eat here every time we're in Amsterdam. Everything is freshly prepared. The salad bar is a bonus. And the fries taste much better here than at many other chip shops in Amsterdam. It's a shame this chain isn't in Germany. The best falafel ever is right here in Amsterdam.

It was absolutely delicious, and inexpensive! Everything is vegan and there's a great selection! So good, I highly recommend it! The service was quick; you choose your base (eggplant, falafel, hummus, or mushrooms) and then you add all the ingredients you want to the pita bread yourself.

Being in Amsterdam for the weekend, I was looking for a spot to have dinner, amd MoazFalafel caught my attention. I had falafel pita to which I added the fresh veggies and sauces that were on the counter. I also had fries with garlic sauce. Everything was chef's kiss! I highly recommend!!

We wanted a quick bite to eat after arriving in Amsterdam, so we stopped by this place. We ordered small fries and a pita with falafel and eggplant. Paying an extra €1 gets you more falafel. After receiving the pita with falafel and grilled eggplant, you can choose your favorite toppings and create your own dish. We enjoyed the pita, but the fries were lacking something, but they weren't bad either. Overall, I recommend it, especially to those who don't eat meat.

Staff were rude, unhelpful, and clearly irritated As I wasn’t familiar with how it works, I asked a few simple questions, but the staff seemed irritated and unhelpful. When I asked about sauces, I was told to “look there” with attitude. When I asked about the salad, the staff member rudely shouted “self-service” instead of explaining politely. They also kept staring at us the whole time, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Definitely not a welcoming place.

Very disappointing experience. It was my first time at this restaurant, and the staff were very rude from the beginning — no greeting, no smile, and no polite communication. No one explained that the salad was self-service, so we were confused when they suddenly told us to go take it ourselves. When we politely asked them to cut the shawarma in half because we were sharing, they just said “no” with a bad attitude, without even saying sorry. On top of that, we found a hair in the food, which is completely unacceptable. Poor customer service and poor hygiene. I will not come back.

Falafel without a hand washing area what is this?? Shocking The dish is dead dry....you get 4 balls under pressure without chips and even the salad bar has no saucers to take something...short cuts save you from dying...and how much does a dish cost? 11 euros so who would eat falafel not in Israel what is this service even on the face of a place

With 7€ you can eat almost as much as you can with their free refills for the falafel toppings. Super fast service and the guy there is always the kindest with the biggest smile on his face!

Honestly, its rating on here fooled me. It’s not that good. The falafel salad is a below average deep fried falafel in a box that they just give you to pick ingredients for from the sad looking salad bar. We came across Maoz Falafel about 15 years ago in Barcelona. There were two Israelis who managed the branch. We haven't seen any branches since. This time we came across it in Amsterdam and were thrilled, both because it was delicious then and also because it is vegetarian and suitable for kosher eaters. So, it turns out that there are several branches in Amsterdam. We ate at the branch closest to the central station. Let's start with the good: delicious (compared to falafel abroad, which is a lot). Let's continue with the less good: overly expensive, more than a meal at Burger King. Their meal came with a drink and chips, but the large chips we ordered turned out not to be very large. The "bowl" of falafel salad they sell only had three balls (!) And the last thing - the attitude of the seller there was clearly not pleasant, he really scolded me because I almost got confused and threw dirt into a bin that is meant for animals. The feeling was of selling at the maximum, minimum product and shame

I have eaten at the Maoz outlet in Barcelona multiple times. The food here is was equally good but the staff was very rude! There was 1 female and 1 male staff who were extremely snappy with customers and were not bothered to patiently explain the one time serve concept. Simply snapping at someone who tried to ask a question. Couple of different folks who had only bought fries and when back to top up the ketchup (not any special sauce) weren’t allowed to top up ketchup. Great food but don’t go in expecting good service.

Good, but not like it used to be. Maoz used to be one of my favorite places for fresh, vegetarian falafel bowls with unlimited toppings. Unfortunately, the quality has declined somewhat – the falafel tastes drier, and the selection of salads and sauces is less varied. The location remains convenient, and the prices are reasonable. However, the former burst of freshness and the generous side dishes are missing. Verdict: A solid fast-food option, but no longer the highlight it once was. Anyone who remembers Maoz from the past will be disappointed.

Great little place with bright colors and various seating options where fast food is still somewhat healthy. Even when it's crowded, you still feel like you can sit relatively quietly. But most importantly: what a difference from supermarket falafel: creamy, soft on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Delicious with lots of vegetables and cilantro sauce in a soft pita. My daughter had the fries with mayo from the menu we shared and was also completely satisfied.

Cleanliness is zero out of ten. As soon as we entered, the guy who works and takes out the trash cleans the tables with his hands. After that, he went to take our order. I thought maybe he would wash his hands and wear gloves or at least sterilize them. No!! He took my bread to be heated without gloves and put it in the heating station. The problem is the glove box in front of him. After that, he put some falafel for me!! He found lettuce fallen to the side, so he picked it up and put it back in the same box. 🫠I swear I didn’t eat the one you rate as excellent. By God, what is your situation!!

My favorite place in Amsterdam. Whenever I visit this city, I always make a point of stopping to eat at Maoz. My favorite combination: pita with hummus and extra fried eggplant, from the free included add-ons I take cucumbers, tomatoes, mixed olives, pickled eggplant (oh my god, is this divine?) and be sure to try the coriander sauce👌

I returned to Moaz Falafel after a few years, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The quality of the ingredients has noticeably deteriorated: frozen cucumbers, cheaper olives, and sauces that don't taste like they used to. The staff also doesn't seem any friendlier than before—perhaps there's a new owner? Thankfully, the falafel itself is still delicious, but that's not enough to make up for it. After years of being a loyal fan, I'll pass on the next time.

I had been to this location multiple times and before this they used to be great. This time i ordered mushroom shawarma however it was too oily, and not at all good. Also the pita bread they served with it was too crisp. If you stick with their maoz falafal, i think you should be fine, ordering food other than that, will totally disappoint you.
