A very charming restaurant, but the prices are a bit high. I personally find €19.70 for a rather bland pizza calzone a bit steep. €7 for a bottle of water is truly absurd.

Very nice Italian restaurant, with friendly staff, good food and good service. We went there as a group from Timeleft dinner with strangers. We had a good welcome and nice appetizers and dinner. I had the Risotto Nero, which was fantastic! But if you plan to order that, make sure you take a toothbrush with you, because you won't be able to smile with your teeth the rest of the evening 😄 The bathroom is a few steps up the ground floor, so might not be ideal for individuals with special needs or use wheelchair.

Delicious food and great service!

I don't quite understand all the good reviews. I didn't think the pastas were above average. Most of the mussels had already fallen out of their shells. The calamari starters were overpriced. Bruschetta was burnt black on the edges, I wouldn't come back here again. We spent 350 euros for 4 people.

The ambiance and staff are generally pleasant, but unfortunately our experience has been rather the opposite. The dining area was extremely crowded and noisy, with tables placed uncomfortably close to one another, compromising comfort. Service was unexpectedly slow — we waited an hour and 50 min for a simple pasta dish. When the food finally arrived, it fell short of expectations: the pasta was overcooked and lacked the quality one would hope for an Italian restaurant. Additionally, the prices were surprisingly high given both the service experience and the food quality. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to those seeking a good Italian dining experience.

When I had my exchange in Rotterdam, this was my go to place for Italian food! The service and atmosphere is outstanding as they treat all of their customers as their friends. We were welcomed with their signature limoncello spritz as we waited for the food. All dishes felt authentic and tasted really good. We finished the meal off with their home made tiramisu which was also delicious.

Great restaurant! The food (and drinks; like the homemade limoncello and the nice wine!) is excellent, the staff friendly and the service fast. I will definitely come back to try all the other delicious dishes!

We were lucky that a spot became available in the reservation system because it is often full here on the weekend. The place has a cozy living room atmosphere and the food is always good! Real Italian food and also very suitable for children. We like to come here with our family. The staff is great and hardworking! The space inside is a bit tight but they make it work. Paid parking in front of the door.

It's really delicious, the ingredients they use are fresh and delicious. We're addicted, we come every week. Even I, who don't like seafood, love their seafood pizza! I definitely recommend it. You won't regret it!

Top restaurant!! Authentic Italian dishes and not just pizza or pasta on the menu, but plenty of choice of meat or fish dishes. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and cozy. The service was very hospitable and Cosimo in particular was very involved with us. The food was excellent, well seasoned and not too much or too little, but just right! What we also liked was that there was enough time between all the dishes, so you really had an evening out in an Italian atmosphere :-)). Not the cheapest but definitely worth it! Grazie!

Authentic Italian restaurant. The small tables that are a little too close together create an intimate atmosphere. The menu contains dishes that you will not find at every Italian.

The olives and bread we mentioned at the beginning were very nice, be sure to ask for them. Pizza arrived a little burnt. Pasta had average taste. Overall we were satisfied.

Italian food, what could go wrong? Apparently a lot, and to my surprise it is regularly full here. We have eaten here a number of times. The food is not great, a bit bland or too much salt or otherwise nothing special. Prices are downright high, a bottle of wine with starter, main and dessert and you're looking at 150 euros. What we liked in the beginning was the Italian chaos with the service. We felt downright ripped off when the owner asked us if we wanted a limoncello just before paying. This is often free - he also asked for it this way; unexpectedly not with this host, 2 small shot glasses, 2 x 7 euros extra. With all the other Italian restaurants in the area, we will not return here.

After a chaotic reception, our reserved table was not yet available, but the delicious food and Italian atmosphere made up for everything. The boss was kind enough to offer us a drink while waiting on the outside terrace, which was also on the final bill😛 He then made up for it with 3 glasses of limoncello 💖

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I think it's right to share my experience. Let me start by saying that the staff was generally courteous and helpful in finding us a table for two on a Saturday evening without having booked. However, some aspects of the evening left a bad taste in our mouths. After ordering, we were asked if we would like some bread with accompanying sauces. We were quite surprised to find a charge of €7.50 for bread. We don't think we were naïve to believe that it wasn't paid for. The service was very slow, the first courses arrived almost 40 minutes after the starter. As for the food, the carbonara was quite full of cheese and the bacon was very thin and sparse. The tables were quite small and the place appears rather The bottle of water at over €7 ends a bill which unfortunately was not consistent with the quality of the dinner.

I've visited this restaurant on 22th February 2025 with my friend. It's a good restaurant but there are issues. Positive aspects: -The owner was very friendly and gave us enough time to finish our dessert and espresso while the next guests were waiting for our table. That was the reason why I gave extra tip. -The self-made bread was very good. -The Branzino Al-Sale tasted very good. Neutral aspects: -The ravioli la limone tasted flat. The was no taste explosion in the mouth at all. 24,70 Euro is a very tough price to swallow. We see the true value at max. 15 Euro. -We were waiting a long time for the pre-course when were asked whether we wanted to have some bread for the meantime. We agreed to that but did not know that we were charged 7,50 Euro for that. With this knowledge we would have declined the offer and would have continued to wait for the pre-course. -The presentation of the Branzino al-Sale was, I'm truly sorry, boring. There must be a better way to present the vegetables. -The tables were standing very close to each other so there is no privacy if somebody is looking for that. -the lo stuzzuchino del Cuoco was a bit flat, especially the melon. Summary: for the price we paid, this was definitely too expensive and we probably won't come back. We would give an overall four stars if the price would have been at around 120-130 Euro instead of 149,10 Euro. This we say without being a gastronome and we know that it is super tough to be one with the high inflation and overboarding regulation. On the other side we have to work really hard for our money and have to see which value we get for the money spent. If price is not a limitation, I advice people to come here, to make their own experience and to form their own opinion.

Very cozy restaurant where the service is friendly and informative. Would like to share knowledge about Italian cuisine and customs. We ate here with three people and all dishes were tasty and affordable. Compared to the service and design of the restaurant, I expected it to be more expensive, but was pleasantly surprised with the bill. Recommended.

We have been comparing dozens of pizzerias in Amsterdam and Rotterdam for years. Final rating: 5/10. Authentic Italian atmosphere: 8/10 Pizza: 2/10 Price - quality: 4/10 We won't be coming back here unfortunately. Upon entering it took a long time before we were noticed, then taken to the table. It's really cramming in this tent. Staff can barely move between the tables. You can recognize a good pizzeria by the quality of the Margritha: it was not good. Was more of a base than a well-topped pizza with good mozzarella. Drink prices are on the high side. The decoration does give the feeling that this is an authentic Italian restaurant. Unfortunately we won't be coming back here anytime soon.

A really nice Italian restaurant. It felt like we were in Italy again for an evening. We started with the anti pasti board, which contained all kinds of different things. Then we shared the pasta carbonara together. I didn't really like it myself, but my friend did. Finally, we shared the tagliata and it was very tasty! There is a very nice atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff is very friendly. I definitely recommend eating here once!

The restaurant has an okay atmosphere and looks cozy however the food was unreasonably pricey for what they are serving. The pastas were mediocre, we had the ragu and the cacio e peppe but the worst part was the minestrone soup which had not flavour and it was boiled water with vegetables in it.

We had a wonderful evening here, finally (because in the past it had been hard to get a reservation). I can only recommend you benefit from our experience, starting with a fabulous mixed antipasto plate, followed by pasta. Great wine (a glass of Pino Grigio and then a fantastic Chianti). And a lovely warm and efficient wait staff. I hope to be back asap.
