Lovely dinner at Oliva, good wine, excellent food and the Tiramisu was the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommended. Service was first class.

Delicious dishes, friendly and professional staff and a very cosy place to be. Oliva is one of the best Italian restaurants in Rotterdam. Make sure you book a table in advance. Parking nearby is easy but expensive.

Food was not that good compared to the price. More specifically the taste and at some dishes the quantity was poor also. Service and atmosphere was fine. Delicious wine!Burrata salad was the only dish that was definitely tasty!

I had my eyes on this restaurant for a while now, and finally, I went last night. We had the 4 course tasting meniu and a wine pairing. The staff was really kind and warm and the service they provided was smooth. The food they served was absolutely amazing, offering a variety of options. We had fish for starters, a creamy ravioli as a second dish (my favorite), and an amazing steak as the main plus desert. The portion was perfectly sized. We left feeling full, and for the price, it's definitely a steal. We will definitely be back for more soon. It sincerely meets the expectations, and I highly recommend eating here.

Food was really excellent. The hosting could really be a lot better and certainly does not match the price level and quality of the food. From 2045 onwards, the focus of all staff was on cleaning up. We waited a long time for the menu for dessert, then after a long wait we asked if we could order. Also a long wait after dessert. The low point was at checkout. Receipt on the table, pin and without any escort the service left again. We had been here before about four years ago and this was certainly not the case then. A real shame because the quality of the food is more than worth going back, but the rest of the experience means that the chance that we will do so is not very high.

Wonderful restaurant for a nice dinner, my second time here. 4 course menu chosen with delicious matching wine. Located in the busy entertainment area of ​​Rotterdam, which also makes the atmosphere pleasant. They also have a terrace. Service is fast and friendly.

I came here for dinner and opted for the 4 course vegetarian menu and a glass of Prosecco (which was fresh and rejuvenating). All of the food including the bread, olives and the olive oil was really good quality, tasted really nice and was presented beautifully. Each dish had some complexity to it and grew in flavor as the fork dug deeper. The service was friendly and pleasant and the place felt right. My only point of improvement would be to have a bigger sink in the mens toilet. The current one is not able to support anything more than a rinse. I will definitely revisit and this was probably one of my best dinners in Rotterdam.

This restaurant tries hard to be a haute cuisine restaurant, but it definitely isn't! Flavors that don't go together at all, mediocre meat quality, clumsy presentation, long waiting times, poor service.

The food is a relief, no pasta and pizza, but surprising dishes and wines. It is also possible to just talk without loud music. I say go for it .

Hadn't been there for a long time, but time has stood still. Food is still delicious on all levels. Staff friendly and helpful, the location is a breath of fresh air in restaurant land. For example, the acoustics, even when it is full, it is no problem to communicate with your table guests without raising your voice.

Had the tasting menu, only 1 stood out so food was overall mid, nothing special in my opinion. Service was not the best either, one of the employees gave my table a basket of bread when we had our ravioli and said “this bread is for the sauce so you don’t do it with your finger since we are a fancy restaurant” which I find odd because all the times I’ve been to a fancy restaurant and none has ever pointed out they are fancy in front of their customers (and to assume I’d lick the sauce using my finger?). They also seemed far more interested in serving the tables with Dutch people.

Let's start positively, the welcome was warm and what a nice place! Waitress came with suggestions for a white wine and let us taste 2 wines! I love that! Starter Vitello Tonato was very tasty with fresh tuna. The Pulpo had little flavor and there was too much sauce/cream on it which totally dominated the taste. The delicious fresh bread with olive oil, which they had initially forgotten, turned out to be the only culinary delight of the evening besides the Vitello. The Ribeye that I wanted medium was served rare (for which they apologized and did not charge for a glass of red wine). For EUR 30 plus you can really expect a better piece of meat. My girlfriend had a special - the Lomo - this was explained as steak... we weren't keen either because Lomo is of course pig 🤭. That was a surprise as I am not really a pork lover - but the dish that was sold for EUR 38 (?) was really not very good and very marginal in terms of decoration (scanty). All in all a nice place with a nice atmosphere and nice service, but in terms of dishes not good enough (at least for us)! Price/quality ratio not in balance. Maybe we'll try it again next year!

Ambiance is good and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, I found the food disappointing. I thought both the swordfish and the risotto were too salty. The dessert was also somewhat disappointing because it was too sweet, a shame because the flavors of the dishes did not come into their own. Staff apologized and offered something else. The wine list is very extensive and there are various wine pairings. Maybe I was unlucky with my dishes, because the staff and the atmosphere were good, I will give it a second try in due course :)

Samen met mijn partner hier gegeten. We waren om 19.00 uur gaan tafelen en tot mijn teleurstelling was het menu van de dag al op. De bediening dacht aardig mee en kwam met een andere suggestie waarop ik vervolgens weer te horen kreeg dat die keuze ook al op was. Na 2 wijzigingen kreeg ik een gerecht voorgeschoteld met smaken die compleet niet werkten. Al met al een teleurstelling voor de prijs die je ervoor betaald.

We hadden een 5-gangen verrassingsmenu en het was echt heerlijk! Het eten zou ik al meer dan 5 sterren geven en de bediening ook zeker. Geweldige service waar eigenlijk niets op aan te merken is. Heerlijk om je bij Oliva te laten verrassen

4 x 5 Sterne. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert alles ausgezeichnet. Selbstgemachtes Olivenöl so gut! Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Absolute Empfehlung, jederzeit wieder.

Het was alweer 5 (!) jaar geleden dat ik hier voor het laatst had gedineerd, maar Oliva blijft met gemak één van mijn favoriete restaurants van Rotterdam. Alles was weer dik in orde, er was eigenlijk niks negatiefs te melden. Fantastische culinaire avond gehad wederom.

Heerlijke avond met lekkere gerechten en goede wjjnen. Attente bediening, no nonsense maar spot on.

Schönes Ambiete und sehr guter Service. Allein wirklich italienisch ist das Essen eher nicht. Ein wenig cross-over. Aber dafür sehr kreativ, schmackhaft und schön angerichtet. Tolle Weinauswahl - sehr guter Aperitiv (Negroni). Es hat Spass gemacht !!!

3 sterren terwijl je er eigenlijk meer wil geven. Laat ik beginnen dat Oliva een prachtig restaurant is. Afgelopen zaterdag met z'n vieren een 4 gangen menu gekozen. Heerlijk.... Mooie verrassingen, mooi gecombineerd en erg lekker. Maar nu komt het.... Passend wijntje per gang (gewoon een glas) is schandalig (SCHANDALIG) DUUR!!!! Uiteindelijk ruim 50% van de rekening!!!!! Daarnaast wordt bij het nagerecht gevraagd of het zoet of hartig mag zijn. 3 mensen willen hartig wat gelijk, zonder overleg €30 op de rekening oplevert! Maar we hadden toch een 4 gangen menu besteld dus inclusief een nagerecht! Als dat nagerecht iets duurder is, zeg dat dan!!!!!! Dus denk goed na wat je bij Oliva gaat bestellen, blijf heel ver weg van een passend wijn arrangement en vraag na wat het nagerecht betekent voor de eind afrekening. *** Is misschien nog wel te veel!!!
