Great food, good wine, nice people

The food was delicious. The portion size was normal. I had the swordfish carpaccio (highly recommended if you like fishy flavors), the gnocchi with red mullet (DELICIOUS), and the tiramisu (nice and soft, not too whipped). My girlfriend had the flambéed pasta with truffle and the beef tenderloin, which was also absolutely delicious! The service was good, and the host was especially great! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it!

Restaurant Nerello was truly fantastic. We had a wonderful meal there. The staff is friendly and attentive. There's a wide selection of dishes, and everything tastes truly delicious. You can clearly taste the quality and care with which the dishes are prepared. Absolutely recommended! If you dine at the restaurant, definitely order the truffle pasta flambéed in a Parmesan wheel! It's nice that the owner also comes to the tables to greet you. It makes it even more personal.

What a DELICIOUS meal we had here! We were inspired by the positive reviews, and they proved entirely justified. The food is truly sublime. We chose the tagliatelle with truffle and the burrata as a starter, followed by tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert—each a true explosion of flavors. The wines were also very good. Upon arrival, you receive a basket of bread with truffle tapenade, which is a wonderful start. The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere cozy and lively. We're not from Rotterdam ourselves, but the next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be back to eat here!

We'd driven past Nerello for years without realizing what a great restaurant it was, but we stumbled upon it by chance and were pleasantly surprised. First and foremost, the food: delicious Italian dishes with a unique twist and, above all, well-prepared. The service was also remarkably good. Unfortunately, that's often a catch in the hospitality industry, but definitely not here: smooth and personal service and a handshake at the door as a farewell! We'll definitely be back :)

Nerello, Highly recommended! The food was incredibly delicious, and so was the rest of the group. Everyone had different dishes, from meat to pasta, all very flavorful and delicious. I personally had the tagliatelle flambéed with Parmesan and truffle. This is prepared tableside, where the Parmesan is flambéed on a table, making the top layer of cheese soft and liquid. The tagliatelle is then placed on top of the cheese and stirred. Then the truffle is added to the cheese and pasta. The preparation alone is an experience in itself, and it's also very tasty! The service is friendly and brings a sense of conviviality. Tip! If you want to dine at Nerello, make sure to reserve well in advance!

Yesterday I ate at Nerello for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent! They cook with passion here. The tenderloin was delicious with a wonderful sauce! I had the Sgroppino for dessert. It was prepared tableside. Very enjoyable and exceptional! I've never tasted such a delicious Sgroppino. We received a very warm welcome. The service was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!

When our daughter Giulia, an Italian university student in the Netherlands, told us how much she enjoyed working as a waitress at Nerello, we decided to trust her for a truly special occasion: her IBA degree. I won't deny it: the idea of ​​eating Italian cuisine in Rotterdam was a bit daunting. We had cautious expectations... but we were literally won over. The restaurant, spread over two levels, is modern, elegant, and meticulously designed: an atmosphere that immediately exudes warmth and attentiveness. We were welcomed by the beautiful and warm smile of Roberto, the owner, who with his passion manages to make you feel at home even though you're hundreds of kilometers from Italy. Throughout the evening, we were looked after with great professionalism and kindness by Vincenzo, an attentive and thoughtful waiter, capable of enhancing the experience with a touch of authentic Italian hospitality. The wine cellar is excellent, with perfect selections to accompany every dish. And the dishes themselves... how wonderful! The quality of the ingredients is palpable, sincere, expressed with technique but without artifice: from raw to cooked, every bite speaks of a cuisine that combines tradition, flavor, and identity. A truly exciting surprise. It's wonderful to see how there are people abroad who best represent our cuisine, with respect, passion, and impeccable taste. For us, Nerello will become a must-try every time we return to Rotterdam. Well done, well done, well done! And yes... they even had Sambuca with a fly 😉

A delightful, slightly above-average, chic spot in Rotterdam. The selection is quite extensive and delightfully refreshing compared to your average Italian restaurant. The appetizers are small and quite pricey, but they taste good. The main courses were all very tasty: the saltimbocca alla romana was on point and well-seasoned; it was incredibly buttery, which isn't good for the barrels, but it is for the taste buds. Italian wines are always very good, and this one is no exception.

Very disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for our food, and instead of apologizing, the staff insisted we had ordered later,which wasn’t true. The blonde lady serving us was extremely rude and disrespectful. For the price and reputation, the service was unacceptable. Definitely not worth it.

I've eaten at Nerello several times. This time for the first time with a group of seven. The atmosphere is always pleasant, but it's actually quite large and therefore quite busy. We noticed this with the service. They only came by once for drinks. The other times, we had to wave for a long time before anyone came. Otherwise, we definitely would have ordered more drinks. It also took a very long time for the courses to arrive. Even before the dishes, the staff never asked if we wanted to order anything, and we had to ask for their attention for ages. It was because we asked if we could have dessert that the kitchen might have closed otherwise. We ended up sitting there for over three hours. It was pleasant, but we would have liked to have finished sooner. For example, the starter didn't arrive until after an hour and fifteen minutes. The food was good, but not amazing. The service wasn't all friendly. It's a shame.

The food is incredibly delicious. The staff is very friendly. They don't have a typical menu, but they offer truly delicious recipes. The tagliatelle and casserole are phenomenal. The vitello is also very tasty. The tiramisu or scropino were the perfect finishing touch for us. We will definitely be back!! And others should definitely visit this restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal at what is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the Netherlands. A velvety-smooth ham as a starter, paired with delicious bread. For my starter, I had a delicious roast beef, and my girlfriend had a magnificent swordfish. For our main course, we chose a very special tagliatelle and a tenderloin with a sauce that few places can prepare so tastefully. The cheese board for dessert was a treat, of course, but an even greater treat was the Sgroppino, prepared tableside. Compliments to the entire service; they were very generous with their serving and took plenty of time for all the little things that define a good restaurant. Special thanks to Sterre; we were impressed by her ability to elegantly prepare various dishes while simultaneously, with great patience, maintaining a hilarious yet informative conversation. Every restaurant deserves a Sterre. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place. It's quite large, but you don't immediately notice this because the restaurant is divided into different areas without seeming closed off. A friendly waitress provides us with bread and truffle tapenade and brings us some water and the wine list, after which she cleverly upsells us with sliced ​​ham. A wide selection of starters. Choosing the main course is a no-brainer: the fresh tagliatelle with Parmesan, sage, and truffle, served tableside in a flaming Parmesan. The panna cotta is velvety smooth and, combined with the pears and chocolate, makes a pleasant ending. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the pace. We had everything in 60 minutes: bread, ham, starter, main, and dessert. The kitchen and waitstaff are very impressive in handling this pressure in such a busy restaurant; however, it's not absolutely necessary. I didn't find it annoying, as we were very hungry. Great business, we will definitely come back!

My girlfriend and I live about 750 meters from this restaurant, and it had been on our list of places to visit for a long time. This restaurant has been here for 5 years now, and we visited it last Wednesday, September 8th. Made a reservation for 8:30 PM for a nice late Italian meal, which is always good. The food was delicious; the linguine pasta with shrimp was delicious. The tenderloin was wonderfully tender, with a good truffle sauce. The truffle pasta was also delicious, and prepared tableside. We really enjoyed the cannelloni with ham. We also had a bottle of Grillo Sicilia, which was delicious. We finished off with a generous portion of tiramisu and limoncello. Last Saturday, September 11th, we didn't feel like cooking, so we took the plunge and had dinner here again. And we had a great time again. Best regards and see you soon, Vincent and Roos

It was a wonderful evening with delicious food. Sterre made sure we had a wonderful time.

Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the host, but after that, things became a bit chaotic and less pleasant. Two different staff members bombarded us with a ton of questions in a short time, and when we asked to take a moment to observe, no one came for a long time. Then we ordered bubbles, a starter, and a main course, and the bubbles arrived simultaneously with the starter, even though we had asked for them to be served one after the other. I don't like wasting food, so we just left it as is. After the (delicious!) meal and dessert, I wanted to pay, but after the waiters elsewhere chatted for 15 minutes, I went to the bar. There, there was a lot of confusion about why I hadn't paid upstairs. As for the atmosphere, it was mainly the acoustics that made it a bit difficult for us, but otherwise, the atmosphere was excellent. In summary: food and wine were delicious, but service was subpar for the price.

We had a fantastic meal at Nerello. The service was good and attentive, and the food was simply delicious. I had the pasta parmigiano as a starter (at least one person should order it for the experience) and the rack of lamb for the main course. The main course was a bit underwhelming compared to the pasta, but that was because the pasta was so incredibly delicious, and the lamb was also excellent. For dessert, I naturally had the tiramisu, which was also fantastic and a nice, large portion. Absolutely a no-brainer! Go here.

I highly recommend this place! The personel was so friendly and made the bachelorette of my friend possible while the preferred time was actually not available. Once there, we got a round table in the middle of the room upstairs. It was beautiful and even when they forgot our order, they came to tell us immediately with an apology. And the food made up for the time we had to wait.

I had a wonderful day with my boyfriend. We were greeted very warmly and asked for our preference about where we would like to sit. We didn't know what to order so we talked to the very friendly chefs and asked them what we could eat and they wished us this pasta and meat - it was really delicious. (I ordered pasta with squid, and he had filet de manzo). For an appetizer we ordered duck and I love it. Last time I came and ate it as a main course, but now the menu has changed and it is only in appetizers, I will wait until it comes back again) and for dessert we ordered very delicious desserts - cheese cake and tiramisu and we drank very good coffee. I also want to thank the very good service from the waiters who worked with us, and I want to single out the waiter Vincenzo for the wonderful service and for the photo he took for us.
