The food was really good and so was the service. We had to wait a bit, around 10 minutes. The entrance is from the shop and then the 4th floor.

Glad to be back after almost 10 years! I used to come to this ramen place many times when I was living in the Netherlands about a decade ago, so returning this time brought back some great memories. Even better, the cook is still the same guy who used to cook for me back then! The restaurant used to be on the second floor of Toko Dun Yong, but it has now moved up to the fourth floor. This time, I ordered the Miso Ramen with pork and Chicken Gyoza. I’m not really in a position to judge how “authentic” the ramen is, but one thing I can say for sure: it tastes really good to my Southeast Asian palate! The broth was rich and flavourful, and the gyoza made a great side dish. I do miss one thing from 10 years ago—the okonomiyaki! I remember having it here, but unfortunately it’s no longer on the menu. For anyone looking for a good bowl of ramen in Amsterdam, I highly recommend this place. As for me, I’ll definitely be back again the next time I stop by Amsterdam.

Ramen initially had a really good taste but after eating it a bit my boyfriend and I noticed the broth wasnt tasting right. The toppings in the ramen were really tasty but quite frankly the only good thing about the ramen. We felt really sick after eating some of the noodles and broth and were unsure if the broth had been sitting out for a long time or not. The atmosphere was great and the store downstairs is definitely worth it the see but the ramen definitely not

Beautiful location in the center of Amsterdam, right in the middle of Chinatown on the Zeedijk. They are situated on a side street off the Zeedijk. This hidden gem is located on the 4th floor of a Chinese supermarket, Toko Dung Young. You can reach the floor by elevator or stairs. They are only open for a few hours every day starting at 12:00 PM. Inside, there is a great atmosphere and everything is typically Japanese. They serve delicious ramen and side dishes such as gyoza. The staff is nice and customer-friendly. You get served quickly! The ramen was perfectly balanced with its ingredients and spices. It was delicious! Definitely worth a repeat visit!

Not the best ramen I've ever had, but still very good! Especially since the price is a bit lower than other ramen shops. The broth was flavorful, and the noodles nice and firm. The Char Siu was a bit dry, but the other toppings were very nice additions that deepened thr broths flavor. Phenomenal kimchi. The waitress was very friendly. Went during the weekend at 15:00 and it was nice and calm. Even during a hot day the temperature inside is pleasant.

The food here is insanely delicious. I went here to eat noodles on a snowy day. The warmth the noodles gave me was really exactly what I needed. It was so tasty!

It's been my secret ramen place for some time. Although by now it's not a secret anymore. But still one of the best ramen places in Amsterdam and the gyozas are cooked to perfection. Been a Taka fan since he had a food cart in Waterlooplein Market. He changed the menu over the years and hopefully one day the Okonomiyaki will be back on the menu. In the meantime you can enjoy the delicious ramen 🍜 bowl. Lots of places have good broth, but most places noodles feel like instant ones. Taka has those perfect wavy noodles that once you taste you'll never expect anything less.

I ate here with my boyfriend this afternoon. I had the miso ramen and it was so delicious, very flavorful. We also had the gyosa, which was very tasty too.

I really liked the ramen. But unfortunately the waitress made me feel VERY uncomfortable and ashamed in front of the other guests. My friend and I were screamed at by the waitress for something really silly. We switched table after 2 minutes when we came in, and she had a complete tantrum at us for this. There were only 5 other people in the restaurant and really not busy. Completely unprofessional to be screamed at in the completely unprovoked way. The worst thing is that after this she was acting all extra nice and quiet to the other guests to make us look bad. Not going back again.

A disappointing experience, despite high expectations. Given the many positive reviews, we were looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered the spicy Tan Tan Men ramen with pork, but in our opinion, it was quite average and lacked distinctiveness. The dish simply lacked the depth and flavor you hope to get. All in all, we felt the value for money was not balanced. For what you get, in our opinion, there are better ramen options to be found in Amsterdam.

Great ramen, slightly thicker and sweeter shoyu broth. More of a „if you know you know” restaurant with some shops on lower floors. Additional points for the woman seating customers, mind the line or you’ll get scolded for not doing so 😂😂😂

Very nice! I wouldn’t say it is the best ramen in Amsterdam, but it was still nice. They were both spicy (Miso and Veggie Ramen), so watch out if you don’t tolerate it!

Perhaps some of the best ramen I’ve ever had! Square fresh noodles, flavorful ingredients, and just an overall wonderful bowl of ramen. The edamame were also fresh and delicious. Would return and recommend to friends visiting the area.

How to get there: The Google Maps reviews made it perfectly clear; enter through the Toko Dun Yong supermarket and take the elevator or stairs to the 4th floor (there are signs). The experience: The place is small, so I recommend going early to secure a table. We were lucky enough to have dinner by the window with unbeatable views of the canals. The food: A short and honest menu (which I appreciate). The Miso Ramen, Chicken Ramen, and Gyozas were spectacular. Very fast service and very friendly staff. 100% recommended!

Had delicious ramen at Taka Ramen on the 4th floor of Dun Yong Toko. I tried the Tan Tan Men 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and the Tori Ramen, and both were absolutely fantastic. The Tan Tan Men had just the right amount of spiciness: deliciously creamy, full of flavor, and with a nice kick without being overpowering. The broth was deep and spicy, real comfort food with a punch. The Tori Ramen was a bit milder, but super refined. The chicken was tender, the broth clear but rich, and the toppings fresh and well-balanced. Also, the atmosphere is nice, the place is clean, and the service is friendly. A perfect spot if you're craving authentic ramen in the center of Amsterdam. Definitely recommended — I'd love to come back to try more of the menu! 🍜🔥

Found this gem of a place hidden on a top floor of a market building and I was amazed. Broth is so rich in flavour and ramen is delicious. Lady working is very kind and she recommend me Tan Tan and Miso. If you like it spicy Tan Tan is way to go if not Miso for sure. You have to try this while in Amsterdam! My number 1 place for ramen.

The seafood noodles only contain crab sticks, so I wouldn't recommend them. The dan dan noodles are okay, though.

This was by far the best ramen i have had in Amsterdam! The atmosphere was warm and felt like a visit to a welcoming house. I had the veggie ramen and it was packed with flavour, umami, and warmth. The portion was very generous and the staff was too! Highly recommend this hidden gem and also love the fact that it is indeed still hidden:) Big appreciation for Taka!

We went on a Saturday at 1 p.m. and there was a small queue, we waited for around 20 minutes. We both ordered the shoyu ramen, which we thought was fine. It wasn’t the best ramen we’ve had, but it was decent. The pork chashu was very good, though the kimchi and pickled garlic felt a bit random.

This is not ramen at all.. some kind of Chinese ramen style soup .. very salty..

A special place, my daughter knows it all. Enter the supermarket and take the elevator to the 4th floor, where you can have ramen. Choose from four different kinds, and you can even order an appetizer. The service is super friendly; lots of people come here.

Absolutely fantastic. One of the best ramen restaurants I've ever had. It's a bit hidden, but it's definitely a 10/10. They don't have a huge menu, but we loved what we ordered. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. I recommend going early, as there's often a queue and they close at 4 pm.

Found this place on Google after seeing some good reviews, but unfortunately, the food just wasn’t for us. The ramen was extremely salty and oily, and the flavors didn’t come together well. It seems to be more of a Chinese-style take on ramen, with lots of oil, salt, kimchi, and Chinese pork belly added. We ended up eating it only because we hadn’t had a meal all day after catching an early train to Amsterdam at 7 a.m. and not eating until 2 p.m. would not recommend

Finally I’ve got a chance to eat here. Before I arrived too early or it was closed. The service was superb, the staffs were so nice and fast service. The Ramen also really tasty, the broth was so thick. Also it’s a big meal, me & my husband left with happy tummy. We ordered Miso Ramen & TanTan Remen and Gyoza as side dish. All of them so delicious. We’re definitely gonna come again!

The vegetarian ramen are just okay. The soup is very tasty but the extras are just okay. They should add like some tofu or somewhere. Or at least some mushrooms.

I never write reviews, but today we were treated extremely unfriendly and unprofessionally. I arrived with two children and was apparently 15 minutes early. I was told in a particularly unfriendly way to go back downstairs with the stroller and two children and wait there. After 12 hours, I returned and explained that I understand how annoying it is when you're busy and customers arrive before opening time, but that this could be communicated more politely. The host disagreed, and instead of apologizing, she started arguing and quickly opened the doors. While we were the first upstairs, we (meaning me and two children aged 3 and 0) had to wait until everyone was seated, after which we could choose a table. Extremely childish and mean. The woman literally didn't say a word afterward, pacing around the entire room to collect table after table, except ours. She completely passed it by. When it came to paying, it was typed in, pointed at the ATM without a word. Then she walked away, and that was it. It's truly outrageous that you let yourself be known like that when you're confronted about something you disagree with, and treat paying customers like that. Extremely unfriendly and next-level unprofessional. I come here often, but this was the last time for us. This woman should be truly ashamed of herself!

Too salty ramen for me. I had a veggie ramen and a drink. Besides the drink I liked a glass of tap water and mentioned it was for taking medicine. They refused and told me I could buy spa blauw. Odd....if I only ordered tap water I could understand but I had a paid meal and an ice tea. You can show customer service by these little things. Not a place for me to go back to.

Ramen is very flavourful, and packed with blood pressure busting sodium. The chicken in the ramen is seasoned with a lot of salt as well, adding to the thirst inducing level of the meal. if they allow, ask for less salt. Bring a big water bottle.

Packed with essential minerals such as sodium. So much sodium. Better with half the amount of salt. I found the same problem in other parts of Europe like Spain so it might just be a local level of salt. Very generous amounts of chicken and pork, cooked well. The grocery store downstairs is expansive and we'll stocked.

I eat a lot of ramens and this one is my favorite, probably the best in my life, broth was very rich in taste, eggs and meat perfect, noodles very tasty, price is also very good. Staff are really nice and lovely.

Nice take on what the western people are used to concerning ramen, healthy gingery broth, wouldn't frequent it too often but it's a nice place to see another traditional twist on ramen. Last floor can hot and stifling under the sun.

Amazing food but the waiter is awful and rude. We left before even ordering and had a nice diner at Xian delicious food around te corner with good food and nice staff! Dun yong lost a big fan today!

The Ramen was alright compared to other ramen places I’ve tried. The overall dish I had felt like even if u had the correct spoonful of everything in the bowl the balance was off. It was a flavourful that sometimes felt overpowered by the slices of kimchi you added. This might of been an off day and I would like to go here and try the ramen again. The gyoza was decent and felt similar to other gyozas I’ve had before.
