It's certainly a fascinating experiment... the delicate flavors of Japanese cuisine combined with the richness of a traditional Dutch stamppot. But unfortunately, it doesn't work out so well. With such a combination, the idea is to combine the best of both worlds... so it could have been delicate flavors with large portions. But alas, the opposite is served. Small portions of VERY mediocre flavor. Look, it's not sashimi if you throw some raw fish on a plate and add some wasabi and ginger. It's also not teriyaki chicken if you sear it for an hour to make it nice and chewy, and then dilute the Aldi teriyaki sauce with water because... well, why? Of course it's absolutely worth it, maybe even an idea of Japanese cuisine, if you get a tiny portion with a FANTASTIC taste... but if you deliver that tiny portion (at the top price, by the way) for a taste that is below the average soup kitchen... well, then the fun quickly goes out of it... combine that with a wait of over an hour ("well, we're so busy"... let's count... six tables occupied), and we hope that this ill-fated experiment will have to close its doors again soon.

Great lunch deal for 9.90 with a drink. We had the sushi wich was yummie. Service also good and friendly. You can also choose 3 kinds of poke bowls for the same price. Will be going back.

Spaarndammerstraat 35HThe place is closed and they still take your order and money.. IT IS A SCAM!! As i see on Google reviews, I am not first one so this is not an one-time-accident and they don’t bother to mark the place as temporarily closed either..

Kinkerstraat 238i’m ordering here online quite often (once a week-ish) and in my opinion this is the best option for sushi in the neigbourhood price-quality wise. Never been to the restaurant itself but always ordered online. super quick delivery and always a very friendly guy! would recommend

Hartenstraat 17Went here with a friend from class to enjoy authentic Japanese food, and it was a great experience! We were warmly welcomed by a lovely waitress who took excellent care of us. The sushi was fantastic, and for our main course we had the pork katsu curry, which was delicious. She even recommended the perfect beer to pair with it, clearly very knowledgeable and great at her job. On our next visit to Amsterdam, this will be the first place we return to.

Willem van Weldammelaan 41As always, the food was delicious. Everything tastes fresh and is of good quality. The service is attentive, fast, and friendly. I have one small complaint: it's always far too cold in the window seats in winter. I could practically feel the cold air blowing past. That makes the whole dining experience less enjoyable, which is a shame.
