Durbar Indian & Nepalese Restaurant in De Weteringschans

The restaurant has an amazing ambience with bollywood songs playing all the time. The food was flavourful and delicious, especially chilli chicken. Naan was really soft.The portions served were filling. The staff service was great.

Accepted my uber eats order and never delivered.

The Fork Discout (50%) was not applied. Something strange: on The Fork you could find two restaurants: "Durbar Indian & Nepalese Restaurant" and "The Monkey Temple". It turned out they were the same restaurant (the restaurant marquee had both the names).

Made a reservation online and when I arrived at the time of the reservation the restaurant was closed. The number provided went straight to voice mail. A very odd experience.

I made a reservation at a Wednesday 22:00 (with the fork) but they where already closed…

I had a terrible experience, the more I think about it the worse I feel. I don't eat meat for ethical reasons, I would have been happy eating a normal main course with vegetables, but they said it was possible to use plantbased chicken for all chicken dishes, so I asked again if it was possible to have the chicken masala with plant-based chicken (to be extra sure), they said yes. After taking a bite we all thought there was something wrong. We asked again if that really was plant based meat, and the waiter said straight to our face that it was. I could not believe that he was lying to us like that so while I was in the restaurant I could not convince myself to say something cause it felt unreal what was happening. I left the food in the plate. I felt sick to my stomach during the night even though I only had a few bites (probably bacause last time I had meat was more than 10 years ago). As soon as I got out of the restaurant I realized what had happened and how dangerous this kind of behaviour is. Please, do not do this. Even if you made a mistake and said something false to a costumer, say that you made a mistake!

Enorm verrast door het eten; super lekker voor een prima prijs. We hebben alleen heel erg lang moeten wachten zonder update. En nog een tip: zet een veer op de deur. Doordat mensen de deur openlaten kan het erg tochten binnen.

En herlig restaurant med nydelig mat. Kjøkkenet har lagt sjela si i matlaging. Vi var et lag på 9 personer som ble sittende noen timer. Knallgod service gjennomført.

Went back the next day got a different dish, not as spectacular as the last one but still a solid A- not that its bad its just that yesterdays was exceptional.

Food came late, it was too spicy and the quality was very usual price too high compared to similar restaurant...

Durbar is een van de betere Indian & Nepalese restaurant in het centrum van Amsterdam. Het eten smaakt vers, smaakvol en authentiek. De basantapur lassi is erg lekker. Het personeel is ook erg vriendelijk.
