Delicious food, great to be able to eat outside on a mild night. The palak paneer was among the best we’ve ever had! Tandoori wings and all the starters excellent. Garlic naan a must. Can’t go wrong here!

Surprisingly very nice spot in the center of Amsterdam. Located in a rather busy neighborhood, but at the same time it wasn't distracting (we sat outside). The food was also delicious and the overall impression is very pleasant.

Super delicious food, friendly service, and the food arrives quite quickly. Tikka Tandoori lamb was very tender, Chicken Korma was very sweet and pleasant. It is located on a somewhat busy street, but you don't really notice it because it is secluded. So far my top 2 Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam. Definitely recommended!!!!

Kind people and amazing food! Came in here by myself and they couldn’t have been nicer, gave me an amazing recommendation on the Tandoori Chicken, great portions and seasoned all the way through! I would recommend to anyone looking for a great and authentic Indian meal, thanks again for having me!

We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Cheese Naan, as well as two Mango Lassis! The Chicken Tikka was delicious, and so was the Cheese Naan. The Mango Lassi was a little too thin for my taste, but everyone has their own preference. I would definitely come back again 😊

The ambience is super cozy and the food absolutely DELICIOUS i always come here when i crave comfort food, my best choice is butter chicken, naan bread and samosas, absolute killers, and the staff will make you feel like you're eating with your own family, and in a city of crazy prices this spot makes quality and affordability possible, absolutely love it.

We were welcomed very friendly, but we needed to eat fast before the movie. We asked if it was possible and yes of course. She was very helpful and told us what we could order with the limited time. The food arrived quickly and it was delicious, nothing was left. Next time we will take longer to try out the other dishes!

I had been here six years ago but forgot... Google maps timeline still knew. But I won't wait that long for my next visit, this little restaurant is a gem. Long-running since 1976 and happy to serve nice traditional dishes. I had papadam (more than enough to fill the little wait), Sheek Kebab and a Chicken Madras. I enjoyed them all!

The man who served us was really nice, but took a really long time to get the naan bread while we had already had our food. And my friend's drink was taken while her glass was still not completely empty. Really nice place, but something was missing.

This is my favourite curry place in Amsterdam. I have been here at least 8 times. The food is rich and delicious and reasonably priced. The vibe is relaxing and the service is great. I am always glad that I came. 10/10

This was the best Indian food that we have eaten in Amsterdam. We come to Amsterdam each year for a Congress. The chicken madras was spicy, hot and full of flavour. The butter chicken was mild creamy and highly recommended. We will certainly remember this restaurant for next time.

Known them since early 2000's. They deliver best everything. Ask for dad's special paneer butter masala and cheese garlic naan. You will love the taste of it. THA BEST

For more than 20 years Shivas has been our Indian restaurant of choice. Wonderful staff and delicious food. The bill is always pleasant , enjoy a full course with wine to enjoy it to the fullest, it’s a gem in the city

Off thev beaten track... But very quite spot......when we went in march. Gentlemen at door friendly and spoke English. On entering a lady greeted us... Sat us at a table. We'll spoken also, friendly and gave us menus. Good selection of dishes....in Whixall 3 of us got something different.. We ordered and got drinks, water . Our dishes arrived a time later..which were colourful and presented very well.. I got chicken biriyina good size portion and naan bread,... As always I had some of other dishes... rogan josh, side dish of veg curry n rice.a side of creamyyogurtmint sauceyummy...all of which wer tasty and filling No rush on staff hovering over us... we sat when finished and paid bill... which worked out bout €24 each... Place was clean and fresh, inside.. Nice music playing in background. Only one thing gotta downside... in Ireland we are given a sweet/ mint when paying... But overall experience was very nice and we left full n happy. Thanks guys...

Had a busy day. A little cold and rainy out most of the day. I found this gem. It was calm with calming music. The lighting wasn’t overly bright. The decor was beautiful and inviting. My dal tarka with rice and naan with a delicious mango lassi was the best meal I’ve had so far. I recommend Shiva all the way. Staff was attentive and so kind also :) it was the perfect way to end my day !

The food was outstanding and the portions very generous. I went here for my friends birthday and ordered a samosa and lamb vindaloo with garlic naan. The samosas were moist and came with a great sauce. Be warned the vindaloo is spicy. I like hot things so I really enjoyed it especially when paired with the garlic naan. The naan came out piping hot and crispy. I would definitely come here again
