The food was delicious and the gentleman was very friendly, I go here more often.

Ordered online and was scared because of the reviews. Was very surprised ! The food was super good, ready fast and the people working there were nice. I came to pick it up, food was warm and well packed. I recommend it !

Delicious food!! We had the 2 person menu and had appetizers, entree and dessert, all super tasty. The non vegetarian menu comes with 3 dishes: butter chicken, lamb and vegetables. The service was also really good. Everything was amazing and we will definitely come back 🙂

bad experience. not only our order didn’t get delivered but we got charged.

Ordered there- tried to deliver our food with 3hours delay. We didn’t accept the order and told us they will provide a refund. Charged us anyway.

This is no longer the original Indian Barbecue Restaurant, but an Indian Nepalese place. Ordered butter chicken and korma chicken. Completely TASTELESS. Called them and I could get a free meal the next day, fair enough. Next day had the Mix BBQ which was ok, but korma chicken was again tasteless. I do like the service, but the food is really tasteless, so one 1 star. Sorry guys, you are in need of a new chef!

Ordered here often last year and was delicious this year clearly new policy. Food is nasty naan is old and tough not recommended.

Good restaurant, good food and we have ordered there often. On Google and also on maps there is a reference to the website indianbarbecue that is on their advertising flyer, which is for a restaurant in Hilversum. We wanted to order online via this website, but Hilversum of course does not deliver to Amsterdam (which the restaurant on the Kinkerstraat does). It caused some confusion at home, so we ordered via thuisbezorgd. Only then did we see their other (real) website indianbarbecue foodticket that simply delivers to the Kinkerstraat.

Ordered butter chicken via Uber. Unfortunately, it was tasteless this time. I ordered from here more often last year, and the food was fine then, but now I'm really noticing a difference. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, especially the rice bowl was way too small. It's a shame, but this is the last time I'll order from here.

Ordered food here, 20 euros for a butter chicken. It had absolutely no flavor. The white rice was tastier than the dish itself.

The good rebiews are probably made by family. I have ordered via uber and they keep sending messages on issues with the delivery. My food will probably get here ice cold. I will never order again

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd. Delivery came 40min after the estimated time. I wouldn't mind if I knew, but it's annoying if you don't know what to expect. I ordered two dishes and chose the spiciness level to be mild. One of those was indeed mild but the other one was very spicy. I have also ordered the vegetarian momo dumplings. There is an image of meat dumplings and there is 8 of them - it makes sense for the price. Turns out its only 4 of them (see the image) and it made me feel scammed. Other than that the food was good but the overall experience was not. I will not order there again.

This place went from very good to very bad in a few weeks, maybe change of chef or owner..we used to order every week, the last 2 times were not good at all.

Loved it! Service & food & traditional Indian music were on point 👌. Ordered an extra spicy vindaloo, I still feel it after one day! Haha, it worth it for spicy lovers 🌶️ 😻!!!!

Will Not Order Again! I waited over 2 hours for my order to arrive through Uber Eats. When I called the restaurant multiple times to check on the status, they repeatedly told me it should arrive any moment and even questioned my honesty, sounding annoyed. It seemed likely they delivered to the wrong address. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I asked for a free curry as compensation, which was denied, only willing to give me a smaller product like a free drink. I then requested to cancel the order, but an hour later, it still hadn’t been canceled. Uber Eats informed me that the restaurant claimed they had delivered the food and that I couldn’t get my money back as they already made the food. Case closed… preventing me from any further contact with Uber East! When I called the restaurant again, they said they couldn’t do anything, which I don’t agree with. After numerous messages to Uber Eats through their website, I finally received a refund. This experience was highly disappointing and unprofessional from both the restaurant and Uber Eats.

A few days in the province of Utrecht, brought us to this Indian restaurant in Hilversum. We were the first customers that Thursday and you think for a moment, will this be good? There was plenty to do at the adjacent catering establishments and that is often a sign that things are going well there. The greeting was very friendly and we were assigned a nice table. The menu is very extensive and both meat lovers and fish eaters have plenty to choose from. You can also enjoy vegetarian dishes here. I had a mixed grill and my wife opted for a fish dish. As a lover of spicy and deliciously seasoned food, we came to the right place and everything tasted excellent. When we were there the restaurant had only been open for three months and that was probably why it was not busy. Hilversum and surrounding areas, this is definitely recommended if you want something different than the average fare, I say do it!

Lo juro por mi indio de vuelta a casa en el Reino Unido, pero esto es igual de bueno. Buena relación calidad-precio. Necesito unas copas de cerveza grandes para mantener felices a los comensales ingleses. Nos aseguraron sin embargo que iban a salir de compras hoy para comprar algunos. No puedo esperar a cenar aquí de nuevo.

Atmospheric cozy restaurant with delicious authentic Indian food. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The quality of the food was superb. We really enjoyed the main courses, both vegetarian and meat. The naans were wonderfully soft and well filled, they are the tastiest naans I have ever eaten and I often eat at Indian restaurants. We will definitely come back here more often, highly recommended.

It was pretty good, good level of spicy, not too oily, the chicken was a bit overdone, but not a big deal, would recommend. Portion size was also for two meals, so about 9 per meal which is a prettu solid price.

Friendly service, delicious food and good portions. Loved the complimentary poppadoms and dip they served us. My sister and I shared a butter chicken with rice and garlic naan, we could not finish it and took the rest home. Love the new decor, wonderful neat place if you are looking for excellent Indian food.

Authentic punjabi taste, one of the best restaurants of Amsterdam for indian food. Please order online only as many people doing same. Dine-in experience will not good so better to order online.

Food presentation is amazing, the staff is really nice, and the taste is incredible, more people should dine in rather than takeaway because it's an incredible experience seeing everything arriving at the table sizzling hot!

Fantastic food! Great service and vingar portions… I ordered Chocken Curry and it was absolutely amazing. The garlic naan was also really nice.

We were a group of 7 friends trying 7 different main courses, butter, cheese and garlic naan breads and mango lassi. Everything was amazing, the heat was spot on and the portions where big. Highly recommend, we will for sure return!

Coming from a punjabi background I have sometimes found it hard to find excellent Indian food. I’m happy to say that after 35 years in Holland I have reached my destination. The food was absolutely amazing! The service was of the highest quality! I recommend that everyone who loves Indian food visits these guys! I will definitely be a regular visitor! Excellent! 10 out of 10!!

Vanvittig lækker mad! Jeg bad om meget stærk vindaloo og det fik jeg! Børnene butter chicken var god men lidt stærk. Hvidløgs-nan var der masser af hvidløgsolie på. Risene var perfekt luftige ❤️

Best Indian food in Amsterdam! I have been ordering in from them on Uber Eats and the food is excellent. The portions are also great and the delivery is very fast.

Really great Bhindi Chicken. You heard me - not Butter Chicken, although the butter chicken is pretty great too. The chef special Bhindi (okra) chicken is really great and is a must try. For added oomph, try the "Spicy" one like I did.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam - I’m a bit embarrassed by how often I order on Uber Eats. Whether having a great day or a bad day, the butter chicken and cheese naan will make your day :) It’s also always packaged very well when delivered. Can’t recommend this enough!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Amsterdam! I always order through Uber Eats and yes the delivery time is always 60 minutes but I don’t mind in this case because the food is so fresh! The chicken is so soft it melts in your mouth. My favorites are the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. I definitely recommend ordering here :)

The cheese naan, Bombay Aloo, and the chili chicken were delicious! I usually get my curries spicy but I asked for it mild today and it was actually pretty spicy for being a mild. Still amazing though! They were take out only when I went.

This was a surprise find for us - in our neighborhood and SUCH delicious food! The best dal makhani I have had, probably ever, and I am including all the dal makhanis I have had in India, even the ones made by my mom. Really really good butter chicken, and absolutely lip-smacking kheer. Ordering on their own website is super easy, and also cheaper than ordering through their delivery partners.
