Very expensive, big extra charge to sit down.

Had breakfast with three people. Those in the know know it: breakfast at Timmer Bakery is delicious.

Just having a nice cup of coffee! And there's so much more to choose from. 😋

I was a bit disappointed. Few vegetarian options, almost everything had meat in it. You feel awkward asking if it can be made without, especially when it turns out the person taking the order at the self-service checkout doesn't speak Dutch. We had to wait quite a while; the hot chocolate had gone cold by then (it had already been made), and then the order wasn't even complete. We still had to wait for that, but we did get a cup of coffee as compensation (only the person who had to wait doesn't drink coffee). The prices are relatively high, over €5 for a mini pizza (not even pita-sized). Coffee/tea €3.35. Personally, I thought there was too much dressing on the salmon, so you tasted more dressing than salmon.

It's not what it used to be. Bakker Timmer has been our lunch spot in Den Burg for 21 years, but it's gotten so bad that we're looking for something else. Dirty tables, not cleaned between meals. Slow self-service resulting in long lines. Staff that are far too young and completely incompetent or customer-friendly. But what do you expect? Hospitality is a profession. At least employ people who can manage well and teach them the trade. Horrible background music that's way too loud, dirty toilet, no towels. And I'd like to put my tray away again. But... there's no more room on the designated cart because no one's cleaning up. I could go on... Gordon Ramsey, help!

A self-service bakery. Here, you can choose from numerous delicacies and simply pay at the cash register. Customers receive a wireless buzzer for food that needs to be warmed up. It's actually perfectly organized. Nevertheless, our order went missing. The kids were hungry and unfortunately had to wait far too long until our complaint was processed through the kitchen. Unfortunately, the service only gets one star.

Well, a bakery in a busy (summer) tourist area, with delicious local pastries. You can sit down and eat something (sandwiches, mainly), and don't expect it to be quiet. The service is minimal, as you have to walk around and grab everything yourself, hoping to find a table that's not covered in crumbs and coffee from previous guests... (Table cleaning could be improved, as we literally didn't see anyone with a cloth during the 40 minutes we were there, and other tables were emptying). Otherwise... an affordable place for a sandwich.

Very good bakery and lunchroom!

Whenever we went to Texel, we always got Texel speculaas here (highly recommended). We go there less often now, but it always feels a bit like coming home. My mother (sadly deceased) always got a sausage roll here and enjoyed it immensely.

A wide selection of pastries, delicious. It's a bit crowded inside, but luckily there's a nice terrace on a charming street. Friendly staff, even when it's busy.

We took our first bike trip to Texel and were happy to find places to stop for a bite to eat in Den Burg. I was somewhat surprised by the spacious layout of this self-service bakery. The selection is fantastic, the staff very friendly, and the terrace in the pedestrian zone is very comfortable. If we're ever back on Texel, we'll be back.

As soon as you sit on the terrace, the prices of the bakery's rolls double. FYI, your price is already high enough. It's not that they're all particularly large or unique rolls. They're rather meager, in fact. Den Burg seems to have become a tourist trap. This bakery is no exception. I do offer a sincere apology to the employee who was allowed to keep the tray. That was just as antisocial of me as your pricing policy.

Very nice café with a great bakery – the ice cream is the highlight! We were thrilled: The café is cozy, and the bakery offers a wide selection of fresh baked goods. But the absolute highlight is the ice cream! Large selection of flavors Creamy consistency Typical, intense flavor – exactly how ice cream should taste! We'll definitely be back tomorrow. Highly recommended!

Moorkop was really tough. Chocolate fell off immediately and the profiterole was dark brown. Really not allowed for a profiterole. Had to eat with a knife and fork otherwise it didn't work with just a fork. And that for 4.00 1 moorkop.

Mediocre moorkop consumed and the latte coffee can only be made with real milk and not with a lactose-free variant. This can be better Bakker Timmer!

Finally a real ball of ice cream for your money. Very nice man who did the ice creams and scooped neat balls. Taste was also very good! Definitely recommended for an ice cream in den burg!

Always delicious pastries, but in bulk.

Kind of a tradition to have a nice lunch at the real bakery of Den Burg when visiting Texel. Enjoy a delicious sandwich and a nice cup of coffee on the terrace. Enjoy the island in the sun. Sandwiches not very special, but very fresh. Self service.

Enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sun. But a bun with serrano for my wife and a bun with ham for me for 18 euros (eighteen!) is really crazy. Including half a plate of lettuce, unsolicited.

A great place for a cup of coffee and a pastry. It is self-service. The advantage is that you can see for yourself what goodies are there... the temptation to take something extra is lurking...

I was really hungry, I haven't been there for a long time, so oh yes, baker timmer, nice, I'm going to sit down and order a Weespyk cheese sandwich without lamb ham, luckily that was possible. Happy brown bread. Lots of bread well toasted. Too bad so little cheese, I was really craving something savory. And then there were few customers. To my surprise, all the tables on the platform had not been cleared and chairs were scattered all over the place...staff didn't see any work and were a bit insecure. Too bad it was really nice for me to sit here for many years

In my opinion, the quality of the food and drinks was not good in relation to the price and the decoration of the seating area could have been a bit more attractive. Besides that, there was an extensive choice and friendly staff.

Bakery in the center of Den Burg with a great assortment of sandwiches, pies and cookies, freshly made or baked. The seating area is a bit cramped and you do have to navigate through the shop to place your order, fetch your drinks and then later pick up anything that had to be made on order. Food itself is great, nothing fancy, just fresh and as tasteful as you'd expect.

A very stressed lady who helped us, get our own food, mini omelet for a lot of money, nice busy location.

Well, maybe they had a bad day in the Tearoom. No chicken in the tent and staff were hanging around for a bit, but in the meantime almost every table and the floor was dirty and sticky. The pastries and cookies were fine, but nothing more...would expect more quality from a 'Real Bakery'.

During our visit to Texel, we had a delicious cup of coffee here with a delicious pastry... There couldn't be a better start to a beautiful holiday day, right? You can sit both inside and outside, there is plenty of room. And cozy in the center of Den Burg. Recommended!

Very good and normal price. You can also get sausage rolls with a big cup of capocino. So real value for money. Friendly, fast service, although you have to get the coffee and hot drinks or pastries yourself, but it also goes very smoothly

We ordered an omelette burger, which was on the economical side in terms of price and quality, and a Texel sandwich, which was a warmed up dry brown/white sandwich with cheese and lamb ham. We couldn't eat it so we asked for a new fresh one, to which the answer was that this is the best they can make??

My wife bought two pastries here, which were very tasty! But the store employee who helped my wife could take a customer focus course. When a customer buys a bag, it is not unkind to put the box of cake for the customer in the bag, it really doesn't make you feel any less... if even other customers point this out to you, it will not be our fault that we do that. find that strange.

Was erg koud en tochtig binnen. Jas aangehouden. Tafels werden niet consequent schoongemaakt. Eten en met name drank erg prijzig. Broodjes wel smaakvol, niet bijzonder. Koffie verkeerd was matig. Toiletten waren niet schoon.

Beetje chaotisch. Eten is behoorlijk aan de prijs en niet héél goed. Gebak is een aanrader, koffie zeker niet.

Leckere, authentisch holländische Backwaren

Op de maandag,markt dag in Den Burg,even wat lunchen.bij Bakkerij TIMMET.

Gebak gehad met koffie en dat was erg lekker. Daarna ook nog twee broden gekocht die vers heel erg lekker waren, maar ondanks dat we dit in de vriezer hebben bewaard werd het voor ons gevoel toch snel droog.

Schandalig hoge prijzen voor supermarkt broodjes, die mager belegd zijn en het personeel was vandaag ook niet vriendelijk. Je kan beter naar de HEMA. Meer waar voor je geld.

35 minuten wachten op 2 broodjes ham/ kaas to go. Apart ook dat de prijs niet verschilt van wanneer je t in hun ‘restaurant’ of op hun terras zou eten.

Over de loop der jaren hebben mijn partner en ik regelmatig plaatsgenomen in deze mooie winkel om te genieten van een lekkere bak koffie. Daarbij is kun je uit erg veel lekkers kiezen, om die kop koffie aan te kleden. Ruim assortiment, prima plaatsnemen en genieten. Eerlijk gezegd komen we liever niet in Den Burg, omdat het meestal erg druk is. (En eerlijk is eerlijk, om te shoppen komen we niet naar Texel, dat kunnen we thuis in Arnhem ook). Maar er zijn nu eenmaal plekken op Texel die we graag bezoeken, als we er zijn. Deze winkel is er 1 van.

Heerlijke lunch gehad. Lekkere broodjes die goed belegd zijn.

2 broodjes to-go. Echt enorm duur voor wat je krijgt! €15,- en zo bijzonder was het niet. Broodje ham, kaas deluxe, waarvan ik het deluxe gedeelte niet helemaal begrijp. Broodje was erg droog om te eten, er zat niet eens saus of boter op. En maarliefst anderhalf ringetje ei een schijfje tomaat en een blaadje sla. Pulled Chicken zelfde verhaal. Goede smaak, maar minuscule en ook zonder saus. Heb een beetje het idee dat Timmer zijn monopoliepositie uitbuit.

Vond er weinig aan. De koek van de grote ijshoorn was veelste oud en taai. Ijs smaakte ook niet echt goed, citroen veelste zuur. Personeel was heel onvriendelijk en chagrijnig. Kom hier niet meer terug!

Een bakkerij en koffie/lunch zaak met ruim assortiment, maar zoals zoveel (toeristen)zaken op Texel veel en veel te duur! Broodje gezond (Kaiser broodje) met 2 plakken kaas en apart een schaaltje met wat sla en 2 plakjes ei voor €7,50 is afzetterij, tosti zelfde verhaal...en klein flesje verse jus d' orange €4,15! En voor dat geld moet je het nog zelf bestellen en ophalen bij de kassa en je vuile dienblad afruimen! Inflatie en dat alles duurder wordt snapt iedereen, maar je moet niet gaan overdrijven en alles met dat excuus maar duurder maken!

Lekker eten en drinken! Aardig personeel en een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Slechte prijs-kwaliteit. Omeletje bij ontbijt wordt niet vers gebakken; smaakt als plastic.

Wir waren heute morgen dort frühstücken, da unser Stamm Platz geschlossen hatte. Für uns war es das erste und letzte mal. Wir fangen mit den guten Sachen an. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und ehrlich. (Dazu kommen wir gleich) Der latte macchiato war sehr frisch und lecker. Kommen wir zu den schlechten Sachen. Die Brötchen waren hart und kalt. Ein Frühstücksei war leider nicht drin da der Bäcker meinte er würde es uns nicht empfehlen... (Das heißt schon alles) Die Auswahl an Brötchen und Belag waren ziemlich wenig. Letztendlich sind wir leider hungrig nach Hause gefahren.

Gemischtes Frühstück relativ teuer, ansonsten stehen verschiedene gefüllte Broodjes zur Auswahl. Der Cappuccino war okay (normaler Automatenkaffee).
