It looks nice, but the day I went I couldn't get in because they were having a private party.

Nice pub in a beautiful location in the center of Amsterdam

My wife and I and two of our good friends visited this cafe during a walking and food tour of Amsterdam, a group of 8, with our guide. The owner spent a half hour with us making us feel welcomed and answering any questions we had. Later in the afternoon, we went back to the same cafe for drinks, which was just before closing time. We told the owner that we wanted to come back as a result of his amazing hospitality. Just prior to leaving, the owner insisted that we all try a piece of his wife’s homemade apple pie which was delicious, as was the food we had sampled earlier in the day. Truly a great experience in a wonderful city and area of Amsterdam! Highly recommend

We had rose’ wines water and an apple pie with whipped cream to die for light delicious probably the most delicious apple pie I’ve had it was like apple torte’ yum!

Actually, 0 stars: what a disgrace! We received an email confirmation for a reservation for 8 people, and when we arrived, nothing was known about it?! We were ushered upstairs to push tables ourselves amidst the pizza boxes... "You can sit, but dinner will definitely take another hour." After an Amsterdam platter, which was tasty, a round of still-frozen bread arrived. We gave up and ran to Pepe's, where a table was set for us in no time, and we still had a wonderful team evening. Too bad, Blauwe Pan, there won't be a second chance, if you boat people with pizza are so much more important.

Fun place for a beer and a pizza in the heart of the Jordaan in Amsterdam. A local gathering place in true Dutch style.

It is a cozy location with a warm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly; we felt welcome and were helped well. The food came quickly and the service was fast – almost every five minutes someone came by to ask if we needed anything else. I had the chicken satay, which was tasty and filling. What I found a pity is that they didn’t ask me if I wanted herbs on my fries – I would have preferred without them. The tables are quite close together, which can make it noisy, especially when several groups are talking at the same time. For those who like a lively and social atmosphere, this is a great place to eat.

It was really cold that day in Amsterdam, me and my husband were freezing and ran into this place. Got an idea to check it out and warm up. It was empty at the moment, seems like this is more a night out place but we got welcomed and served. This place showed me that locals in Amsterdam really care about the heart and soul of these small bars, restaurants… you can see photos of guests and owners all around. They seem easy going and calm. So friendly and cozy! We had some snacks and hot chocolate (and whiskey 😊) - warmed up and continued our Amsterdam adventure.

Well, we only had a beer there, but the experience was nice. The price is good considering the location, service was good as well and the location is nice, with indoor and outdoor tables.

Very welcoming to is when we were looking for a restaurant that would satisfy four of us. Food was excellent, but the service was even better. Karaoke started and seemed like a great time, though we didn't know the language!

The place is in a nice location, but food was not the best. Nachos WITH cheese, had barely cheese, and they were not very well combined with scattered pieces of rocket and pepper... The carpaccio sandwich was okayish...

Had a great time celebrating a birthday and watching the Euro 2024. The apple pie is the best in Amsterdam and it was accompanied by some classic Dutch songs that were being belted out at midnight, proper Amsterdam experience. My only advice would be to treat the customers who are spending their hard earned money at your bar with a bit more respect. When asking how much longer the apple pie would take the barman replied hastily with “what do you think this is, it’s not McDonald’s hey” all up though a true Dutch gem in a great spot - recommend.

We did the 360 ​​Amsterdam Tours, a treasure hunt through the Jordaan. This was our starting point. Our reservation included a snack at every stop. With 3 people we received 3 mini frying baskets with a total of 2 bitterballen and 4 mini cheese snacks. We asked if that was all, no, there would be more, the young man who served said. It took a very long time. When one of us went inside to ask for the rest, she received a rude response from the kitchen. Of course nothing more would come and we had to pay and suffer. We were perplexed. 2 other women on the terrace indicated that it had indeed been said that more snacks would follow. The man with the rude comments had now come out of the kitchen and was going crazy. Dazed, we paid and moved on. What a crappy tent for the start of the otherwise fun tour.

Had arrangement but the top floor looks like storage. You're eating between a freezer and a bottle of turpentine.

It's easily one of my favorites in Amsterdam. Away from the crowds and as welcoming and authentic as there is in Amsterdam. All the food is delicious, but I am partial to the apple pie. (with whip) Great place to relax and end up in a great conversation.

Oh my god, What an experience! Their steak meal is just divine. Perfectly cooked and served with a lot of welcomes and smiles from the friendly staff. I've actually been here six years ago back in 2018. The owner welcomed me back. I would come back here every time I visit Amsterdam.

We can’t get over how great of an experience we had at this place. The service by the owners was fantastic. This was our first stop in Amsterdam, we just stumbled in and grabbed a seat. We ended up getting the bitterballin and nachos. Both good but the bitterballin was probably the best we had on the trip! My wife had a cosmo which she said might’ve been the best she had ever had. We sat upstairs and they didn’t care about coming up to serve us. Super friendly and helpful. Then when we went to leave and pay they had a couple food tours there and the female owner I can’t remember her name was running all over helping them. She then gave us a tasting dish of what she was serving a potato and vegetable mash mix and some sausage that was to die for. (I ordered sausage because hers was so good at another restaurant later on our trip and was very disappointed) She then poured us a shot of a black licorice liquor all Free of charge. Just because she was being kind and we had to wait a couple minutes to pay. Definitely didn’t expect anything we had a great experience before she did all that. Definitely go support these great people. We will definitely be back if we get back to Amsterdam! Wish we would’ve tried the apple pie, it looked so good but we were stuffed! Highly recommend checking them out!

The best Apple Tart of all the city, in my opinion!

Een gezellige sfeer hangt hier. Heerlijk relaxed mensen zitten niet allemaal op een rijtje op het terras. Ga zitten waar plek is nummertje erbij en bestellen maar. Amsterdamse combo plank(etagère) lekker gevuld met goede mosterd! De Nacho uit de oven vond ik zelf niet slecht. Maar de gebruikt Nacho vond ik zelf niet heel lekker. Maar mag de pret niet drukken. Prima keuze in bier en andere drank. Goede service.

Geweldig cafe met gezellige mensen voor en achter de bar, oud Amsterdamse gezelligheid en een goede prijs voor een drankje. Een dansje en lekker meezingen op goede muziek zorgen ervoor dat je blijft hangen tot Andre Hazes aangeeft dat het tijd is om te gaan. Top avond gehad, bedankt iedereen!

Buscábamos un sitio diferente, no tan turístico y que no fuera de comida rápida, un lugar cálido y con algún plato de comida holandesa y este lugar nos encantó por el trato de sus dueños, el matrimonio Joris y Soraya. Era un lugar caótico y divertido en su decoración, excelente en su menú y con excelente cerveza, lleno de buenas vibraciones y en el precioso barrio de Jordaan, llevábamos un grupo de alumnos de 2º de bachillerato y quedaron encantados. Es una apuesta segura si buscas esa línea de establecimiento.

The “bartender” gave me a “beer” that was 60% foam, I had to ask her to fix it because it was ridiculous. They turned off the main lights even tho they could see I was reading. They only play horrible Dutch music. And in the end they asked me for 6 euros for a small beer. I was such in a rush to leave the place that I did not say anything and just left. Do not come here, it is a really bad place, even for the very low Dutch standards.

The best places are always the authentic ones where real locals hang out- not tourists! But after reading this, perhaps that may change ! We were welcomed warmly by a v kind waiter (Augustus!) & felt like we were home! There’s a great selection. Of local beers, and a simple yet tasty menu. The owner kindly agree to make me whatever omelette I wanted! Which he did which was lovely and very generous indeed. The coffee was amazing but best of all…the apple pie !!! Incredible and the best ever! Thank you. And thank you Augustus for making us so welcome to your beautiful city !
