If you're a meat lover, this place is paradise. I ordered the steak with fries and a burger, and everything was top-tier. The steak was incredibly flavorful and melted in my mouth, while the fries were seasoned just right. The burger was also a standout,juicy patty and amazing sauce. Total perfection on one table. Highly recommended!!!!Also the cappucino was so good you guys have to try it!!

Steak and Ribs were very delicious, price is low if we see other restaurants in Amsterdam, the waitress is so cute, if you seat outside, you feel Amsterdam’s heart, in general we really enjoyed.

A complete disaster, absolutely avoid it! The price is exorbitant for the poor quality served. The fries are frozen, the portions are tiny. The bread was stale, as if it had been microwaved, becoming rock hard in minutes. We were given a mere hint of wilted salad, and the meat was of very poor quality, tasteless (even undercooked). To top it all off, the staff is unfriendly, aggressive, and completely unkind. The overall hygiene is frankly appalling, and the wait is interminable for a mediocre result. It's a pure tourist trap, very expensive, when right next door, it's much cheaper with a great welcome, real homemade fries, and excellent Argentinian beef. Don't waste your time or money here.

The worst deceptive restaurant ever. They are nothing but fraud. Be careful when ordering beef; be aware that it is ONLY for uncooked beef. Even bread is not included in this 30-40 Euros for the beef. They want to get almost 10 Euros for bread as an additional.

An Argentine gem in Amsterdam with the best Venezuelan touch Today I discovered La Stego on Damstraat, and the experience was simply spectacular. I want to sincerely thank the hostess, a fellow countrywoman from my same city in Venezuela. Her friendly guidance and recommendations were key to making the perfect choice – thanks to her, we ordered the best cuts. The Argentine meat is truly exquisite: juicy, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy, and we felt completely comfortable throughout our meal. What made me especially happy was finding Venezuelan talent showing the best we have to offer: kindness, warmth, and good manners when dealing with others – especially when guiding them toward the best options. I will definitely come back to enjoy the excellent Argentine meats again and to receive the best Venezuelan hospitality. 100% recommended for anyone looking for quality food, great service, and an unforgettable Latin corner in central Amsterdam. It's a tourist trap! Very expensive for what's on the plate: I paid 25 euros for three tiny slices of meat and a mass-produced fajita. I strongly advise against going to this place.

Feel guilty for such a low mark for atmosphere but I ate early and got in before the rush, the food and service was impeccable. I had the 450 rib eye and it was cooked exactly as I asked. One of the best steaks I’ve had in Amsterdam and I would highly recommend a visit to meet the friendly staff.

The restaurant is awful. Nothing is right.

A steak restaurant that doesn't know how to cook a steak is bad news. We dumped in and made an order before reading the reviews, and I wish we had taken time to check in advance; we got a different meat than we ordered, it was not cooked properly, my steak was raw. The waiter didn't understand me, and all in all I'd say one star is generous. On the bill they've put on the bread they asked my friend if he wanted to begin with, and he said yes, so when it was specifically noted on the bill that tip was not included and the waiter asked if I'd like to include a tip, I replied that I've spotted they've put the tip in on the bread, so no I'm good. I'll not visit this place again, and wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at La Stego. The steak was cold in the middle, not just slightly undercooked but actually cold, which was unacceptable. The staff member who served us was also quite rude and dismissive when we raised the issue. To make matters worse, both my partner and I had terrible diarrhea the next day after eating here. Considering the high prices, the quality and service were far below expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I've traveled to Argentina in the past, and being in this restaurant transported me back to Buenos Aires. The ribeye steak was excellent, cooked to perfection. I'm a chef, and I found the quality of the food to be outstanding. And above all, the service was excellent.

I do not recommend it to anyone!! Very disappointed with the portions, prices and the policy of the restaurant. We got 2 Rum Steaks....they serve a single piece of meat on a completely empty plate!!! First time I've seen something like this in my life As others have mentioned in the comments, they give you the impression when you place your order that the fries are included in your portion while they charge not only extra but also very overpriced! I also ordered a salad for 8.5€ and I literally got a handful of lettuce the size of my palm!!! I thought someone was kidding me but in the end that was the portion! We asked for some bread because apparently there was none on the table and they brought us 4 small slices with a bowl of garlic butter (which we did not ask for) and they charged 10€ Whatever one may say, it's a little... of course we will not visit it again and I will not recommend it to anyone. The only good thing about the restaurant was the kindness of the waiter and waitress, who are not to blame for any of the above.

We went there with a group of friends. They act like bread and salad comes with food and included in the price. We learned the truth when the bill came. We kindly asked about this because we didn’t even touch the salad. The chief of staff came and behave very rudely. The worst attitude, the worst service ever. Please check the photos for the well done steak they served us. Terrible!! I’d not recommend this place to anyone.
