Great service, the portions for lunch are more than big enough

Had a delicious fish skewer. I really should check the specials menu more often. Friendly and welcoming staff and owners.

We ate here recently. My wife's omelet was very dry, tasteless too. The tuna salad was okay, but nothing special for homemade. The blonde woman, I think the owner, comes across as very affected and stands way too close to you. Not nice. The girl who served us was very pleasant and efficient, though.

This afternoon we enjoyed a lovely drink on the terrace and then a delicious meal, excellent dishes with wonderful flavors. The service was friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money. All in all, top-notch.

We ate here on Friday with Valentine's Day, the jumbo menu was really tasty and very enjoyable. We found the service to be good. We immediately made a reservation again on March 22 to celebrate our 36 years together and then off the menu.

We used to eat here a lot, it was a long time ago since we moved. But we have now been there again and will definitely come back, it was wonderful. My wife had the Eel soup and I had the Goulash soup, both were delicious, main course my wife had the sea bass and I had the tough men's grill mix, with fried potatoes and fries with salad and warm vegetables. Beans, broccoli and cauliflower, great and a bottle with all this. Chardonnay, really delicious food, if we go cycling later, we will have lunch here and then dinner by car

What hospitality! Water and treats for the dog, attention for the children. And also delicious mini snacks

I don't know exactly what to think of the design, certainly not annoying, but it is not really of this time but also not the cozy old-fashioned. Nice owners who give the food something extra. The Latte Machiato immediately became a pampering coffee with a small glass of whipped cream and liqueur at the bottom. Also a nice menu with something for everyone and various dishes. Delicious soup.

Had a very tasty steak with a huge mountain of mushrooms. Delicious fried potatoes with a crispy layer. More than enough of everything. Dessert was also tasty, delicious ice cream without crystals. Service very friendly, very nice boy who can regularly ask if everything was still to your liking. The downside is that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. (on Saturday evenings). The decor is old-fashioned, reminiscent of a German restaurant in a small village. Fortunately, you can pay by card here 🤭

Our takeaway spicy chicken was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommended, super tasty!!

Wij gaan hier regelmatig eten! Van tomatensoep tot carpaccio salade, Van schnitzel, saté spies tot ossenhaas puntjes het is allemaal lekker. Ook is er altijd een maand menu dus keuze genoeg! Tot snel weer! Groetjes!

We waren 2 weken uitgenodigd op de kermis in Bakel door de eigenaar!! Hij vertelde dat hij goed eten had! Wij eten eens in de week uit!! Top service!!! Gisteren al heerlijk gegeten, portemonnee vergeten en netjes gebeld. Reden om vandaag nog eens lekker te gaan lunchen. Hele snelle en vriendelijke service! En het eten is echt HEERLIJK! Wij komen zeker vaker terug!:)

Gezellig, lekker eten, aangename sfeer. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Leuke, alerte bediening. Zeker de moeite waard om eens aan te gaan.

Eten van mijn mede bezoekers was ok. Mijn mix grill daar tegenover viel tegen. 3 spiezen waarvan er 1 kurkdroog was en de andere 2 smakeloos. En een stuk sparerib wat gewoon smakeloos was. Te duur betaald voor zo’n kwaliteit. Sla de Goude Leeuw voortaan wel over. Bediening was zeer vriendelijk.

Geweldig! Lekkerste eetcafé van Bakel en omstreken! Het eten is altijd heerlijk. Tevens is het personeel ook super vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader!

Lekker eten, goed drinken, leuke bediening en vooral: de prijs was goed! 2x lunch plus 3 drankjes voor zo'n 35 euro!

Leukste plek in Bakel om te eten. Fijne, lieve eigenaren, fijne bediening. Houden rekening met je wensen. Wat je ook besteld, het is altijd lekker en vers. Prijs / kwaliteit is heel goed. Tot de volgende keer! Liefs Francis.

Een echt bruin eetcafé en mijn lunch was klaargemaakt met verse producten.... heerlijk.

Prima dineren voor een eerlijke prijs. Mooie kaart met enkele verrassende gerechten. Gastvrij en gemoedelijk. Geen 5 sterren omdat het goedbedoelde bezoek van de gastheer aan tafel ons stoorde in ons gesprek.

Qua inrichting kun je zien dat De Gouden Leeuw in Bakel sinds jaar en dag een vaste ankerplaats is voor wie traditionele Brabantse gezelligheid op zijn waarde weet in te schatten. Wij kwamen er op Goede Vrijdag voor een lunch en dat bleek een goede keus. Er kwamen voor ons beiden uitstekend bereide en rijk gegarneerde Angus Beef hamburgers op tafel. De bediening was vriendelijk en correct. De burgers waren prima op smaak en met een gul biertje erbij konden we volop genieten!

Zeer lekker geluncht, de goulash soep is een echte aanrader! Heerlijk!!!!!

We waren in de buurt en wilde een hapje eten hè de Gouden Leeuw daar maar proberen bij binnenkomst al het gevoel thuiskomen, leuke muziek, goede temperatuur,geweldig gastvrouw,goed bier op de tap, fantastisch eten . bouwvakkers maaltijd maar alles met liefde en zorg gemaakt heerlijk !!!!!.dus in een woord geweldig en we blijven Nederlands ,,een goede prijs maar vooral mensen met liefde voor het vak veel humor .dat kan ik zeggen na 40 jaar horeca, dank jullie wel tot snel
